When you get to the hot springs in the story then you get it off the chief (i think).

Yes you are given the shell phone by the chief. However, everytime I try to call a sim it sends me to their answering machine. Any help with that??

They're probably not home when you call lol. Try going to another area and call them, cause it happened to me and when I went to a new area, I got ahold of them. Hope that helps

You will get the answering maching if you tried to flirt with another girl/boy when your date left from the party.
