You befriend a mermaid talk to them underwater and ask about their parts they will give you magic kelp then eat it 50/50 chance it will work and if it won't .

If u have a computer at the main menu where u select start a new game or load one press shift-control-c simultaneously then type in testing cheats enabled true hit enter then load your game. Then once in game go to lifetime happiness tab hold control and click like crazy in the blank spot where treasure chest is.

The easier way than befriending a mermaid to become a mermaid is to go to the lifetime happiness awards and scroll till you find Mermadic kelp and try to get 25,000 happiness points to buy it and to get the most happiness points is to finish your lifetime wish and this will work every time.

What you do is make your sim rich. And how is that I make there lifetime wish to be rich. Then you do control-shift-c and just keep typing motherlode. Then it will make the wish complete so then your sim can be a mermaid!Guest answered:
No, a better way is to befriend a mermaid, since I find it hard to complete a lifetime wish. Do not get mermedic kelp from Salty Sea worth, or King Triton. Find another mermaid instead. Ask about Mermaid Parts, then I believe they give you the kelp, you eat it. And it may or may not work depending on who gave it to you. If you ask King Triton, he will say something snobby. But if you ask salty, he will give you it, but it makes you sick. :T thats all I know

Get it from the lifetime rewards, soo much easier. Although, being a mermaid is not as fun as you think it is, in my opinion anyway. Happy simming!

You can use different cheats to get more Lifetime Reward points faster, some use the testing cheats but some do not, then you can go into the Lifetime bar and you will see a chest, next to it is your reward points make sure you have 25,000 points, then buy mermaidic kelp!it's that easy![spoiler][/being a mermaid is acctualy very fun and good for videos!]

My sim is a human & I've fed her like 20 mermaidic kelp & it's not working. So I befriended the triton king & I'm pregnant know but I'm still not a mermaid! Why is this? I have 10 rebel, jock & nerd fluence is that why?

If you get the kelp from triton or salty seaworth the kelp will not work... i foruld out the hard way :|Guest answered:
I also think this mermaid is evil too, as I fed my human sims 6 of the mermaidic kelps she gave me, and they just became sick. Her name is something like Leanna La Losa and she has white short hair, a dark complexion, and a blue tail. She didn't say that if you eat this you will become a mermaid she said "My 'fish parts' as you call them are far superior to your puny legs. I can swim faster. I am more attractive too."

What I do to turn into a mermaid is make good enough friends with a mermaid so I can just ask them! It works every time.
