The first one was terribly wrong, and the second answer is close. To get the skating rink, go to the buy mode, click on the little chess piece, and then click on the dart board, then at the very end, there will be a skating rink, and a roller rink. Both of them have 2 sizes to chose from. Have fun!

I don't quite remember but I think you either put a pond in the backyard and it will freeze or you put a pool back there.

The roller skating and ice skating rinks are recreational items found somewhere in buy mode (I don't remember exactly where). There are 2 sizes to choose from.

In buy mode, go into Skills & Hobbies. It will be in one of those categories.

Ok click Buy Mode, gotit? Click the hobbies menu if you don’t know where that is look for a knight chess piece. Click the dart board. It should be the 6th or 8th thing to pop up depending on what size you want. Choose the grey one do not pick the brown one which is for roller skates.
