I have the sims 2 seasons but my girl can't tan.
I even bought the chair it shows on the game case that the girl is using to tan.

I think they just have to sit there for a while each day. Not too long though or they'll get burned! There usually isn't a choice. If you get/have the Bon Voyage pack you can sun-bathe on the beach!

The sims can only tan in Bon Voyage not Seasons. I have no idea why they put that picture on the back of the case.

Well I just have my sim stay out in the sun but honestly you need bonvoyage
