Does any one know what happens when a sim runs away? Will they ever come back?.

ANSWERS

You have to call the police within 24 hours after the sim has run away. If it's been over 24 hours, then the sim won't come back until it's the day before their adult birthday.

A sim runs away if the relationship with all household sims is below -20. If the police is called within 24 hours after the teen ran away, the teen will be returned the next day. If the police are called more than 24 hours afterwards, there's a 50 percent chance the sim will be found and returned. When the teen returns, the teen won't run away for one day. After that, if the relationships are still all below
-20, the teen will run away again. If the teen isn't found, the teens will return just before their transition to adulthood.

something must be wrong with my game because they never return and when they become adults they automaticly become townies :(
