BEcause you can't let him crawl or to do anything and look at it's size what can it do? Well when it's a toddler you can do things with it.

Well i don't know why you can't select it, but if you really want to select your baby then you could: Type in the cheat, "BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true" and then select one of your older Sims. Hold shift and click on the baby that you want to make selectable. You should then see a whole new menu of options that you can do (Thanks to the BoolProp cheat) then select the "Make selectable" option. The baby's picture should disappear from the side of the screen, you then do the procees again and this will make your baby selectable...

BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true, then shift-click the baby then click make selectable then his picture will be gone then do it again but the only thing you can do with him is use boolProp cheat to adjust his mood points
