Question for The Sims 2

I've created a Sims family, but now I've decided I want to split them up into different houses - is there a way to take a Sim and use it in a different family? I want to use the same skins and personalities I created, but not with the same family.

I don't care about keeping any of the things they've earned or the relationships they've formed, I really just don't want to re-create all these Sims from scratch. Can I somehow add them to the "Sim Bin" or something like that?

I think that you can go on the computer and select find own place. I'm not totally sure though.

You can use a computer, newspaper, and maybe the phone. When the pie comes up then push Find Own Place. This Sim can pick which family members to go with them or go by themself. They won't go into a family though, but with a little love and tenderness they will be able to Move In with another family.

If you click on the newspaper you can select find own place, then you end up back in the families bin, you can then move into a diff house, and make friends with someone in an other family so you can move in, children and younger can't be left alone in a house
