Why won't my sims use the toilet? They use the ones I put in after the others break

Well it's either they don't need to go to the toilet,they can't goin the room it in maybe because ther is no door someone standind in the way or it is brocken if they are busting but wont go to there toilet go to a comunity lot or a friends place

My sims can't use the toilet neither it says object error with all toilets I put and I don't understand why!!!!!

Mine is doing the same thing. The room has doors, the toilet is facing the right way, and my sim needs to use it so bad she keeps peeing on the floor. It gives me the options to clean or flush the toilet, but that also does nothing. It won't even let me delete the toilet or move it, it keeps saying object in use. I'm hoping it's a glitch. I'm going to try restarting it.
