in the game options there should be audio options, move or change the music meter to 0, or change the music.

I also have this problem lol but I have recently found a way to get around it. If you go into the game folder and select the music folder and then one of the radio channels (world, pop, rock, salsa...you get the idea) You can drag your mp3 files into that folder and the songs will play the next time you play the game up and turn on the stereo to that channel.obviously you will have to skip songs if its a sim one but i found it helpful, i just put a whole bunch of songs I liked and I don't mind the sims music too much so I'm not complaining!
