How can I reset a neighborhood to its original characters?

How can I reset a neighborhood to its original characters?

I have the following Sims 2 editions: Sims 2, Sims 2 Nightlife, Sims 2 University, Sims 2 Pets, Sims 2 Open for Business, Sims 2 Holiday Edition, Sims 2 Seasons, Sims 2 Bon Voyage, Sims 2 Free Time, and Sims 2 Apartment, all installed on my computer. My problem is that I would like to reset the neighborhoods back to their original characters without deleting the three neighborhoods I have created and without having to re-install every game (since I have lost one of my Pets and Bon Voyage CD's). Is there anyway I can restore the neighborhoods to their original state???

Yes there is a way to reset your whole game. It depends on whether you want to reset every town or just one.

1. Go in to your hard drive, normally the C drive
C:/mydocuments/eagames

Look for the sims2 folder which holds the saves in the neighbourhood and remove to the recycle bin. *delete*

2) If you want to only delete one neighbourhood then you need to go into the folder I told you to remove. Go in C:/mydocuments/eagames/thesims2/neighbourhoods folder

And delete the file that matches the town.
You will also have a back up save in (possibly this folder)
C:Program FilesEA GAMESThe Sims 2TSDataResUserDataNeighborhoods

Make a copy of the files that you wish to reset. (copy not just cut and paste)
And then place that copy into
C:/mydocuments/eagames/thesims2/neighborhoods (which is where you deleted in the first place.)

This should reset your game.
Please make sure youre not running your game at the time.
And it will take a little longer to load as it is resetting the files
IF there is a part of this explaination you DO NOT understand then either submit another or ask someone in your home to help you through the process.
