Date of Question: Jun 13 2008 | Question ID: 120358 Can anyone tell me, how can I cure my self when I become a Vampire? It always spoils my game and I have to stop playing. I know about The Count of Skingrad. He sends me to find some witch and she wants 5 empty great soul gems. Where can I find them? I´m not using cheats but I´d be pretty pleased if anyone has one for being a Vampire. Thanks a lot!!!

I think you have to do the quest to get rid of it. Try merchants or the mages guild for soulgems. If you don't wanna do that, then make sure you sneak up on someone that is sleeping and drink their blood. That way, you will not burn in sunlight. Hope I Helped. Please Rate

There is a cure you have to get it by the quest look it up on youtube I found it there but look under vampire cheat in oblivion it is not a cheat but it shows you all you need about the cure

If you have the pc version and you want to use console (the thing that controls the programming in the game)just open up the game, make sure you can walk around and stuff, then press the button that has the ~ (you don't need to press shift), and type player.additem 00015B8E 5 and you will get 5 empty grand soul gems. If you have the xbox 360 version I'm sure you can find one in the arcane university lobby in a display case. Then you can dupe them (if you want) or you can look for some in the magesguild like xlisardx said.

No need to go on a quest to cure vampirism. I too contracted the disease in an earlier game and didn't want to contract it a second time. First ov all, vampirism only does affect after 3 days of contracting the disease. Word to the wise : carry cure disease potions or scrolls or spells. Once you have contrated the disease simply take the cure disease potion RIGHT AWAY and you are rid ov vampirism (till next time). If you are NOT cheating (dunno why), the arcane U. Is a good spot for at least one grand soul gem. In oblivion, in the sigilus sanctum (or whatever) there is ALWAYS a "chest" right before the sigil stone depending on your level there could be grand soul gems. Otherwise, search in forts ,ruins or caves to find them in random loot.
