You first need to choose a mission by talking with the officer standing against the wall on the left hand side He is the guy who gave you your command of the you-boat. Interact with him and click the 1st option. He will brief you and then you are able to choose which theater of war you would like to operate in by clicking on one of the iron crosses in the sea and requesting that mission. Close the window and go to the guy standing immediately to the left of him and select torpedo layout, re-equip your arsenal and then go back to the mission briefing guy and select the second option lets start a new mission or something. Happy Hunting!
