I love this game but am not able to play it to completion. In the Part II where the hero rushes to the desert he finds that all the Prince's men except for one officer have been killed by the undead. The officer keeps crying for "water from the mules" but the hero is never able to complete this task. The hero is allowed to visit other regions after that but the story does not proceed as per plot. Is there a way to overcome this problem and get a message from the dying officer to deliver to the prince?

The horse where you need to get the water for him is about 20 feet to the right of him.
