I am stuck in the level The key and the lock hourglass chamber

I am playing prince of persia the warrior within and I am in the round - The Key and The Lock Hourglass chamber and I don't know what I have to do now. I can't see any lock or any key in the very empty room and the red lady have said that You'd have to undo the very fortifications of the castle and I don't even know where I can find these fortifications. Please tell me what should I have to do to cross this level

I'm guessing you've just gotten the Serpent Sword. That is the key. The lock is in the middle of the central hall. It looks like a rusty hemisphere sticking out of the floor. Walk up to it, it will cut to a scene where the prince uses the sword on the lock.

Now there is a turnstyle a few yards away. Turn it to change the conformation of the rocky platforms in the central hall. With some patience and logic, you can use this mechanism to access three doors in the central hall. One of them is a life upgrade. The other two lead to complicated levels wherein you activate gears and such to open the door to the throne room.
