How to idenafy a wepon

I found a gold sword but I have to identafy it be for use and don't now how to what do I need to do to identafy it

Just bring it to Lady Shizuka. Talk to her and choose the "Identify" option.

Is there a certain point as to when you can get her to identify the wepon? because as of right now at my current point in the game she wont identify it, of does her friendship need to be higher?

SHE DOES IT RIGHT FROM THE START xD just click her quest called identify and it completes itself and you can identify

You need to go Speak with Lady Shazuka, this NPC will have an identify option. The higher her Friendship lvl the more likely you are to find a rare weapon with higher skill ranks, durability, & grade.
