No. In Creative Mode you cannot craft things unless you grab a Crafting Table out of the Creative Inventory.

If you are in creative pc then get wood and place it in like you would on survival. If on xbox 360 it's just the same. Same for pocket edition too.

In creative, you can't craft Crafting Table as clicking "E" (default) will instead open the creative inventory. The only way to craft at Creative is to place a Crafting Table then right-clicking it will toggle the Crafting Screen. This feature had not yet been implemented on the latest version of Minecraft PE which is 0.10.4.
