The hourglass is at the lowest level of gharic's forge. You will need a key to enter the forge, generally found in a chest at corligan's estate. Good luck! Mytibuni

It occured to me that you may not know the location of gharic's forge, as well.......it is on the island group east of new sorpigal. You need to fly or water walk over. If you have a lot of trouble getting the monsters OUTSIDE killed, you probably should wait a few levels before going inside the forge----fire elementals and warlocks abound!!!! Mytibuni
