I've never heard of that problem happening before. It might be one of the files not loading properly. Try restarting the mission. If that doesn't work, you might have to restart the game as a whole. If that still doesn't work... Well, I don't know what to tell you. It's really easy to mess up the files on a PC game. =/

i have this problem and i tried every thing but i got no arrows in dance date or lowrider challeng or even life's peach party dance i dont know what's wrong :(

I am having the same issue. How did you solve it?

In my case the solution was to reset display settings to default, set resolution to the minimum value, and remove Silent patch and Asi loader that I had installed initially. Also, I have opened gta_sa.exe file properties and on the tab "Compatibility" set check to run in compatibility mode with Windows 7, Use resolution 640 by 480, and next two checkboxes (something with fullscreen mode and administrator rights).
