Question for Final Fantasy XI

My father bought me a xbo 360 for christmas and he asked me what games do I want. Can someone please answer these question's.
1. Should I get this game?
2. How many people in this game do you get as partners for your team?
3. Do you get to make your own person in this game?
4. Is the fighting the same like final fantasy X?

1. if you are a dedicated rpg fan

2.there are about 3000 people on at any given time depending on your server. you can join a linkshell and talk to about 50 friends at once (i didnt check the max), you can be in a party of 6 (a group capable of fighting the same target and talking in their own chat window,and you can have people not in your party help be casting healing and other spells as your group fights (power leveling) as well as local talking and area talking

you make your character's: name, race, gender, and changeable "jobs" (warriors,mages,etc) wich spread across a wide range of styles once you obtain the secondsary ones. also you can chose a non player partner for solo play wich you do all but name (kindof you pick from a list after the quest)

4.ive never played ff10 but its a real-time version of turn by turn wich they tooled to work very smoothly it keeps the base conscept of abylities from other ff games but it runs real time, youl have to try it to understand if you havn't already
