Harvest the Salt Pond every 4 hours for 10 salt. You can build it for parts and 13(?) RC after you get the Garden Ranch, or you can collect the level-up reward for level 50 and get the Salt Pond for free. Also, every now and then it will show up from a Mystery Box, the purple ones.
