When the fish pulls, don't click, when it stops, go trigger-happy with the clickin. Easy! (just make sure you stop clickin when the fish pulls again)
Try to go slow, the slower you go the easier it is to not snap your line.
1. Fastly click a when the fish is not pulling and when it is click a until it goes yellow or if you risky until it's red but stop when it's red. Then that will make it pull back less.

You may be trying to get the green bar to fill up rather than go away--as I did for a frustrating bit. Click when it's not vibrating instead of when it is and I think that should solve the problem.
Ok a little bit of clarity would have been great here, I was trying to get the green line to go all the way up I was not going towards the hook. You're not trying to get the green line to fill up your trying to make it shorter
