No man, there's no way a player becomes a boss. The game wasn't programmed that way. You just have to beat the other bosses, you can't be one of them.

Before you can be boss you have to defeat the original boss for instance slickjackson is the boss for funktown you have to beat him first I'm not sure how many times you have play him rather it's 3 or 5 times thats if you can get the bosses to play you I know you have to have 5 stars in order for them to play you
