I have downloaded the trial version of age of empires and none of the cheats work. Coinage doesnt give me 1000 gold and gaia doesnt let me control animals and so on. Do the cheats only work in the full version or if not how do they work in the trial version?

Well those cheats DO work.
I always use them. I think that they might not work on the trial version, but they do work in the full version.
No I have the trial mode too but no cheats work on it. But on the entire game it works.
You need the full thing
You need to download the full version and it works only on the multiplayer.
You need the full thing, I've been trying every cheat in aoe3 on trial and it doesn't work, and I can't get the full version as it's no longer downloadable :(
