Well, you gotta to options and it's depend on which difficulty you use. In harder mods you must properly park the truck and the trailer into the red box to detach or attach. At easier mods you can drive truck to the trailer at your own wheel and to detach it too. However, you must go through yhe red box to detach it.
But I have 2 trailers, the first one I can take, but the second not.
