Thunderbolt fighter hints and tips for Operation Gamma 41

When you crash into somthing,quickly hit the red X button.Thus doing that,you do not wast a turn,and can do it all over again as if you never started on it,leaving you,with 2 turns,unless you fail to hit the red X button then you got 1 left.I don't know if you can do it more then once,cause I hit it twice and the 2nd time it froze up on me.
