Note 1: The impulse 106 command will help a lot about figuring out what an enemy is called.
Note 2: If you try to spawn a Non Playable Character (NPC) in an area where they do not already excist the game will freeze, like spawning a gargantua in the tram ride in the beginning of the game or if you try to spawn a scientist while fighting nihilanth.
However: There IS a way to get around it. By spawning NPC's at an area where they already excist you can spawn it right in front of a loading checkpoint and walk through it. In 8 out of 10 times, the NPC will be transferred to the next loading area too. This way, I was able to bring a headcrab all the way back to the beginning of the sector C area (where the game starts) even before the huge catastrophe.
