Near the road all you will have to worry about are patrols and dogs.

Make sure to take out your sniper rifle and check the vicinity for enemies such as dogs because they will point out your position to their masters.
<BR>
<BR>
They key is to stay silent. If you use the sniper rifle correctly you will get some clean headshots in.
