You should always, and I mean always if your being a sniper and planing to stay somewhere is put down a det pack behind you. If your sniping down somewhere and a enemy comes up behind you and you don't have one then your dead. So if you put down some explosives behind you then they will be blown up, hopfully you will notice and put another one down.: Note always put it doqwn facing the enemy, if you don't then it will not be blown up. Remember, your doing you team a favor

Do not think that being in the prone position makes you safer and harder to hit. Enemy snipers will be looking for other people or snipers to be in a prone position. If your sitting there and someone sees and shoots at you, in the time you take to get up and move is enough for them to kill you. So what you really should do is to stand or crouch shoot at the enemy one time and as soon as you can. Then either prone yourself behind something, or to jump prone yourself onto the ground. Your doing your team a big favor by folowing this rule. Don't use it... And see what will happen!
