Alien Swarm Cheats and Tips

When you reach level 27 press 'Promote' to unlock the promotion stars. Doing this will reset your levels but you will receive the corresponding promotion star.

Unlock Titanium Star:

1st promotion

Unlock Carbide Star:

2nd promotion

Unlock Callium Cross:

3rd promotion

During gameplay press the '~' (tilde) key to bring up the cheat box and then type in 'sv_cheats 1' (without the quotes) to enable cheat codes. Then enter any of the following codes to activate the correspondng effect. These codes cannot be used in offline practice:

God Mode:

Type 'asw_god 1'

Full ammo (all weapons):

Type 'asw_gimme_ammo'

Full Health:

Type 'asw_gimme_health'

Disable Auto-Reload:

Type 'asw_auto_reload 0'

Enable The Director:

Type 'asw_horde_override 1'

Enables 360 controller:

Type 'support exec 360_controller_pc.cfg'

Let's you play in 1st Person View:

Type 'firstperson'

Open the Level Tile-based Generator:

Type 'asw_tilegen'

Open the Server Browser:

Type 'openserverbrowser'
