When you are playing as an Alien or Predator activate your Focus to have collectibles appear as flashes on the HUD.
When you are in multiplayer mode as a marine try to keep your back against walls as much as possible to prevent getting killed instantly by Aliens or Predators.
When you reach the indicated rank the corresponding skin will become available.

To get these following cheats you must earn them as follows
SNIPERMUNCH
Alien gains long-distance jaw attack - Defeat the first Alien Level (Temple) and score 10 live civilian head bites.
NAUSEA
Screen shakes and moves - Defeat the second Alien Level (Escape) in less than two minutes.
PIPECLEANER
All characters are shown as Pipecleaners or skeletons - Defeat the third Alien level (Ferarco) with 15 civilian head bites.
MOTIONBLUR
Screen becomes blurry - Defeat the fourth Alien Level (Gateway) in under four minutes with an average of 9 m/s or greater.
MIRROR
Displays a mirror of your Level - Defeat the fifth Alien Level (Earthbound) with one live Predator head bite.
JOHNWOOMODE
Game slows down when you attack or being attacked - Defeat the first Marine Level (Derelict) with 80 per cent head shots.
GRENADE
Stocks you Pulse Rifle with 99 grenades but no bullets - Defeat the second Marine Level (Colony) with 40 per cent accuracy.
WARPSPEED
Run fast - Defeat the third Marine Level (Invasion) in less than four minutes.
LANDOFTHEGIANTS
Makes you small - Defeat the fourth Marine Level (Orbital) using less than 20 shots.
SLUGTRAIL
Aliens crawl on floor - Defeat the fifth Marine Level (Tyrargo) with 32 Alien kills.
PIGSTICKING
Predator's Spear gun has unlimited ammo and multifire - Defeat the first Predator Level (Waterfall) with 80 percent accuracy.
BALLSOFIRE
Enemies always on fire - Defeat the fourth Predator Level (Fury 161) with 40 Alien kills
IMPOSSIBLEMISSION
Game becomes more difficult - Defeat the second Alien Bonus Level with 20 live Marine head bites.
TICKERTAPE
Aliens have trail - Defeat the first Predator Bonus Level (Invasion) with 15 Alien trophies.
TRIPTASTIC
Screen becomes Jittery, blurry and a Rainbow effect - Defeat the second Predator Bonus Level (Escape) with 10 civilian trophies.
