If u want to score goals from midfield from way out, just get the ball to one of ur star players, move him towards the centre of the pitch near the edge of the centre circle in the "opponents" half (the circle around the kick off area i.e.).

Press and hold shoot with direction key flat towards goal (i.e. if u are using tele or tower camera just right or left direction key is enough).

You'll see that after a little practice, u'll get to know the exact amount of power required for the shot and then almost every shot goes in.

And even the keeper reacts in a comical manner (holding his head in his hands as if he's just put an own goal)
