Welcome to my first attempt at a game guide, so
please bear with me as it may not be your cup of tea
this first go around. I have put many hours into the
original Viva Pinata and decided to pick up the DS
version which I must say is very well though out and
improved for the means of the touch screen.

- This Guide is as complete as it can get for
now with the exception of a few minor errors,
will update with any suggestions and tips.
- Also missing some information as it is still
unknown at the time of the creation of this

2. Purpose [VPPurpo]

The Purpose of this guide is to make you aware as a
player of the bad happenings that could possibly come
across your garden and to help you turn the to these
creatures tame so that they can be used to your
advantage.

3. The Sours! [VPSours]
--------------------------------------------------
Here are all the sours that can currently be found
in Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise and the level they
are found at. After taming each sour you will receive
a sour blocker for the tamed pinata, keeping all sours
of that kind away from your garden. I tried to put them
in order of appearance but it may vary from player to
player depending on what type of pinatas and plants
are being kept in the garden.

3.1 Shellybean [VPShell]
--------------------------------------------------
The Shellybean is the first sour you will come across
in the game at level 2 or higher, but if tamed it can be
used to your advantage. The item(s) needed to tame
a sour shellybean is 1 APPLE SEED.
3.1.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 2 gardener or better
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Apple seed
What it will do as a sour: 1) Eats all of your seeds in the garden
3.1.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Snail
Candy: Jellybean
Level: 3
House Cost: 330 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Shellybean in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 1 Thistle grown in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Thistle flower
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Bluebell seed
2) Have a Shellybean house in garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a Bluebell will change its color to
blue.
What it will do tamed: 1) Eats weed seeds in the garden

3.2 Sherbat [VPSherb]
--------------------------------------------------
The Sherbat appears somewhere in the game around
level 3. The item(s) needed to tame a Sour Sherbat
is 1 JACK O' LANTERN.
3.2.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 3 gardener or better
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Jack o' Lantern
What it will do as a sour: 1) It will drain your pinatas and
make them ill
3.2.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: (Fruit) Bat
Candy: Sherbert
Level: 4
House Cost: 550 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Sherbat resident in the garden
2) Nighttime in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 3 Mothdrop residents in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 2 Mothdrops
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Tulip flower
2) Have a Sherbat house in garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a Chili will change its color to
red.
What it will do tamed: 1) The Sherbat will have the ability to
momentarily distract Dastardos

3.3 Crowla [VPCrowl]
--------------------------------------------------
The Crowla appears somewhere in the game around
level 3. The item(s) needed to tame a sour crowla
are 1 BOTTLE OF MEDICINE and 1 BIRDBATH.
3.3.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 3 gardener or better
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 bottle of medicine
2) Have 1 birdbath in the garden
What it will do as a sour: 1) It will eat sick pinatas
3.3.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Crow
Candy: Cola
Level: 5
House Cost: 825 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Crowla resident in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 4 Lickatoad residents in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 variant Lickatoad
2) Has eaten 1 Lickatoad
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 2 Shellybeans
2) Have a Crowla house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a bottle of medicine will change its
color to yellow.
What it will do tamed: 1) The Crowla will have an ability to
momentarily distract Dastardos

3.4 Profitamole [VPProfi]
--------------------------------------------------
The Profitamole appears somewhere in the game around
level 6. The requirements to tame a sour profitamole
are 2 MUSHROOMS and 1 RED FLUTTERSCOTCH.
3.4.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 6 gardener or better
Resident Requirements: 1) Have 2 mushrooms in the garden
2) Has eaten 1 Red Flutterscotch
What it will do as a sour: 1) Attacks your flowers
3.4.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Mole
Candy: Profiterole
Level: 6
House Cost: 825 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Profitamole resident in the garden
2) Nighttime in garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 4 Arocknid residents in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 2 Arocknids
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 3 carrots
2) Have a Profitamole house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a ball of wool will change its
color to blue.
What it will do tamed: 1) the Profitamole will eat up the patches
of dirt from a Mine
Other Information: 1) Directing Profitamole to a mine in the garden
it will dig up coins and gems

3.5 Macaraccoon [VPMacar]
--------------------------------------------------
Truly one of the cuter pinatas when tamed, the
Macaraccoon appears somewhere in the game around
level 7. The requirements to tame a sour
Macaraccoon are 1 CLUCKLES and 5 MASTER ROMANCER
AWARDS.
3.5.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 7 gardener or better
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Cluckles
2) You have 5 master romancer awards
What it will do as a sour: 1) Steals eggs from your garden
3.5.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Raccoon
Candy: Macaroon
Level: 7
House Cost: ??? Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Macaraccoon resident in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 5 Syrupent residents in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Defeated 3 Syrupent residents
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Arocknid

3) Have a Macaraccoon house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a mushroom will change its color to yellow.

3.6 Cocoadile [VPCocoa]
--------------------------------------------------
The sour Cocoadile is truly one of the creepier
sour pinatas with its long shark-like teeth, the
Cocoadile appears somewhere around level 8. The
requirements needed to tame a sour cocoadile
are 160 PINOMETERS OF WATER (16%), 1 SWEETTOOTH,
and 2 SWANANA.
3.6.1 Sour Version

Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 8 gardener
Resident Requirements: 1) Have 160 pinometers of water (16%)
2) Has eaten 1 Sweettooth
3) Has eaten 2 Swanana
What it will do as a sour: 1) Currently Unknown
3.6.2 Tamed Version

Animal: Crocodile
Candy: Cocoa
Level: ???
House Cost: ??? Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Cocoadile resident in the garden (from
having tamed a Sour Cocoadile)
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 160 pinometers of water (16%)
2) Have 5 Quackberry residents
Resident Requirements: 1) Have 190 pinometers of water (19%)
2) Has eaten 3 Quackberries
Romance Requirements: 1) Have 220 square pinometers of water (22%)
2) Has eaten 2 Juicygeese
3) Have a Cocoadile house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a bluebell flower will change its color to blue.
What it will do tamed: 1) The Cocoadile will fertilize your
plants with its tears

3.7 Mallowolf [VPMallo]
--------------------------------------------------
The Mallowolf if my favorite pinata as the wolf is
one of my favorite animals, the Mallowolf appears
somewhere around level 8. The requirements needed to
tame a sour Mallowolf are 1 PIGXIE.
3.7.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) You are a level 8 gardener
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Pigxie
What it will do as a sour: 1) Prevents visitors to your garden
3.7.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Wolf
Candy: Mallow Crisp
Level: 9
House Cost: 1540 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Mallowolf resident in the garden
2) Nighttime in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 6 Rashberry residents in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 3 Rashberries
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 1 Goobaa
2) Has eaten 1 Bunnycomb
3) Have a Mallowolf house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it a bone will change its color to pink.
What it will do tamed: 1) The Mallowolf will chase Ruffians
out of your garden.

3.8 Bonboon [VPBonbo]
--------------------------------------------------
The Bonboon is one of the latter sour pinatas to
show up to your garden and should appear somewhere
around level ???. A lot is still unknown about the
Bonboon. The requirements needed to tame a sour
Bonboon are either 1 SYRUPENT or 1 TWINGERSNAP.
3.8.1 Sour Version
------------------
Appear Requirements: 1) currently unknown
Resident Requirement: 1) Eat either 1 Syrupent OR
1 Twingersnap
What it will do as a sour: 1) Starts fights amongst the
other pinatas
3.8.2 Tamed Version
-------------------
Animal: Baboon (appearance of a Mandrill)
Candy: Bonbon
Level: 10
House Cost: 1980 Coins
Appear Requirements: 1) Have a Bonboon resident in the garden
Visit Requirements: 1) Have 1 monkeynut tree grown in the garden
Resident Requirements: 1) Has eaten 7 bananas
2) Has eaten 7 monkeynuts
3) Have 1 banana tree grown in the garden
4) Have 1 monkeynut tree grown in the garden
Romance Requirements: 1) Has eaten 3 Jameleons
3) Have a Bonboon house in the garden
Variant: 1) Feeding it an orchid will change its color to white

4. Frequently Asked Questions [VPFAQ]
--------------------------------------------------
Q) I have one Cocoadile, but others aren't appearing!?
A) Your Cocoadile probably appeared prior to the
appearance and defeat of the sour, so more
cocoadiles will not appear until the sour has
been tamed, regardless of meeting the visit
requirements.
Q) Where can I get an apple seed?
A) The apple seed can be bought from Costolot's General
Store at level 3 for about 50 coins.
Q) How do I get a jack o' lantern?
A) Grow a pumpkin, and once fully grown
pay Bart to magically transform it into
a jack o' lantern.
Q) How do I get a bottle of medicine?
A) The bottle of medicine can either be bought from
Costolot's or by paying Bart to magically
transform some honey.
Q) Where can I get a birdbath?
A) The birdbath can be bought from Costolot's.
