SO, any and all help is appreciated - pointing out mistakes, adding
locations etc. Just send me an email at tehwavy AT gmail DOT com, so I can
credit you for helping me and stuff.

   ==   Version History

0.6 (04/28/2008) - Drop list complete! WOOHOO! Thanks to everyone who helped
with that (you've been credited, don't worry). I've made a
start on the locations, but still have a lot to go.
                   Fixed a few things.
                   Expect greatness.

0.5 (04/22/2008) - Every Noise in the game listed. Still a lot of pin drops
missing, especially on Ultimate. Also need to add locations
                   and special notes.

   ==   Stuff About Noise

Basically, Noise is TWEWY's name for monsters. Being a recently released
Square-Enix game, you might already be suspecting that fighting battles is far
from the norm (everyone's totally over random battles nowadays) - and you'd be
right. Fighting in this game usually consists of 3 steps:

 - Scanning the area with your Player Pin
 - Tapping a floating Noise symbol
 - ...and fighting whatever Noise happens to be in it.

In this way, battles are about as least random as possible. You have complete
control over when you want to fight something (bar story-related and boss
battles) and you can even change your difficulty and level on the fly.

Noise come in a variety of shapes which determine what type of enemy you'll be
fighting (eg. frog, wolf, mammoth etc.) and a few different colours.

Red - Normal Noise. You find these everywhere. They won't chase after you
when you scan and nonchalantly await their inevitable demise.

Black - Taboo Noise. After a certain point in the story, you come across
these special black Noise quite often. They're the same shape, but
these ones chase after you when you scan. Also of note is, when
fighting them, whoever of your 2 playable characters does not have
the puck does considerably less damage. Not only that, you can't run
           from Taboo Noise.

Blue - Boss Noise. One of the rarer kinds of Noise, usually containing
formidable foes. Not nearly as common as Red or Black Noise, these
appear sporadically during the main story (you don't need to fight
them at all) but are much more abundant during a second playthrough
allowing you to replay story-related bosses without having to play
through the chapter again. Beating these on a difficulty of Hard or
above shows a record of the battle time on the Noise screen.

Green - Pig Noise. Rare little floating green Pig Noise appear roughly once
a day, and show up on the little top-right HUD when one is nearby.
Defeating these usually yield rare pins, but a lot of the time
defeating them requires a certain special tactic. They won't show up
in your Noise list until you defeat them in Pork City during Another
Day. Failing to kill one offers no penalty. It'll still be there. :O

Yellow - Negative Noise Symbols. Despite the name, these are just Red Noise
that are above a person who's feeling "negative". Defeating them
makes the host not so negative, advancing the story and stuff.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

   ==  Stuff About Pin Drops

First off, all drop %'s shown in the Noise List are the Default Drop %'s.
In TWEWY, enemies drop items (pins) based on your current level in relation to
your max level, and the difficulty you have set. An equation showing the
relation between max level, current level and default drop % would be:

Default Drop % * (max level - current level + 1) = Adjusted Drop %

So, let's take Noise No. 1 Dixiefrog as an example. It drops 100 Yen on Easy
with a default drop chance of 15.00%. If your max level was 10 and your current
level was 10,

(max level(10) - current level(10) + 1)
= 1

therefore the adjusted drop % would remain at 15.00%.
If your current level was 1 however,

(max level (10) - current level (1) + 1)
= 10

meaning the adjusted drop % would become 10 * 15.00%, which as a result means
you have a 150% of getting 100 Yen on Easy. For the sake of MAKING SENSE,
150% equates to 100%.

NOTE: (max level - current level + 1) is shown on the bottom-right of the
screen as a number next to a star. Multiply this number by the default
drop % to get an adjusted drop %.

ALSO NOTE, chaining enemies (tapping more than one enemy during a scan) will
multiply the adjusted drop % by however many Noise symbols you tapped. For a
long time the max number of chains is 4, but during endgame you can buy an
item from Shibu-Q which allows a chain of up to 16. As usual, the bottom-right
of the screen will show how much default drop % will be multiplied by.

ONE FINAL NOTE, there are two items which raise the drop rate slightly.
According to in-game descriptions, Curious Mushrooms raise drop rate by 1
and Absolute Shadow Ramen raises drop rate by 3. This raises the little
default star value by the corresponding number (the in-game Noise List
still displays default as if it were 1).

A little quick thing about difficulties: different difficulties yield
different pin drops. Simple as that. Easy is unlocked soon after you start
the game. Hard is unlocked early during week 2. Ultimate can be bought
from Shibu-Q as a Quest item after beating the game by trading in
2xOrichalcum, 6xRare Metal and 4xTektite.
