ABOUT THIS FAQ:

==================================================

This is a simple guide made for the purposes of making the Block Puzzles at the
"Ends of the Earth" Station easier. It may take the fun out of it, but if you
just want to get it done, then you've come to the right place. :)

This is also my first FAQ. I've always had an interest in in depth FAQs. Please
send feedback! It would be much appreciated. Please check credits for more
detail. [Crd]

I spent a few hours re-doing the block puzzles to map them and provide a step
by step guide. My memory on the prizes may be off, so I would appreciate a
cross check. :)

I had no sources for this guide except the game itself.

Please ask permission if you want to post the guide anywhere else! Thanks!

Onward!

How to read this guide [HtR]

==================================================

I will use maps to show block locations/target locations. There will be a step
by step procedure as well.

[ ]
[ ] = 1 Square [Each square = Block size]
[___]
 ___
| ^ |
| B | = Block [Always facing up to the roof at the
|___| start of a puzzle]

[ ]
[ X ] = Represents Blue Sockets [Destination]
[___]

Specific squares will be indicated by a letter and a number (B1, C2, etc),
depending on the grid provided.

==================================================

Ends of the Earth Station [EotE]

==================================================

WHAT IS IT?:

A station with three caves, each with Block puzzles of increasing difficulty.
They are "Brainteaser", "Braintwiser", and "Brainmasher." There are different
prizes for completing each puzzle.

The block puzzles are much like the block puzzles that were in the Sand Temple.

HOW TO UNLOCK THE STATION:

You will need to have gathered Force Gem #20 to unlock this station. That is,
you must have delivered at least 5 cuccos to Rael. It is located in the
upper right most corner of the Fire Realm.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

The Sandwand. Found in the Sand Temple.

HOW DOES IT WORK?:

You tumble the blocks by using the sandwand on the opposite end of the block
(so use sandwand on the right of the block to make it tumble left.) to insert
them into holes using the Sandwand to push them along. The blocks must have
their "insert" end facing downward to be "plugged" into the blue sockets.

You will be on an elevated platform, and in the middle of the map will be the
"Sandbox", containing the block, sand, boundaries, and blue tile the box must
be inserted into correctly.

I will provide a step by step guide; but feel free to experiment and figure it
out, it can be fun. :)

WHERE ARE THEY:

"Brainteaser" is the central cave on the ground floor.

"Braintwiser" is the cave located on the left side, on elevated ground.

"Brainmasher" is the cave located on the right.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:

There are numerous ways to do these puzzles! I simply provide one of the many
ways to do it. :)

==================================================

Brainteaser Block Puzzle [Bte]

==================================================

Let's start off with the "Brainteaser". They are the easiest puzzles, giving a
lot of room to tumble the blocks with the sandwand to align them correctly with
ease and without too much trouble.

Enter the central cave. Go up the hallway and the first door you come to.

**Brainteaser Room 1: [BTE1]**

    A B C D E
  [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
1 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
  [___][___][___][___][___]
  [ ][ ]| ^ |[ ][ ]
2 [ ][ ]| B |[ ][ ]
  [___][___]|___|[___][___]
  [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
3 [ ][ ][ X ][ ][ ]
  [___][___][___][___][___]
  [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
4 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
  [___][___][___][___][___]

This room is simple. One block, twenty squares. A lot of room to move it around
and position it to be correctly inserted into the Blue Tile.

Step By Step:

1- Move the only block (C2) DOWN to C3.
2- Move block again DOWN to C4.
3- Move block RIGHT to D4.
4- Move block UP to D3.
5- Move block LEFT onto C3.

That was simple, huh? It gets you used to how these will work from now on.:)

The door should open, proceed to the next room.

**Brainteaser Room 2: [BTE2]**

   A B C D E
 | ^ |[ ][ ][ ][ ]
1| B |[ ][ ][ ][ ]
 |___|[___][___][___][___]
 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
2[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
 [___][___][___][___][___]
 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
3[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
 [___][___][___][___][___]
           [ ][ ]
4 [ X ][ ]
           [___][___]

This room is slightly different in the fact it has some odd ends (C4 and D4).
Still; no problem. :)

Step by Step*:

1- Move the only block (A1) RIGHT to B1.
2- Move the block RIGHT to C1.
3- Move the block RIGHT to D1.
4- Move the block DOWN to D2.
5- Move the block DOWN to D3.
6- Move the block DOWN to D4.
7- Move the block LEFT to C4.

*Thanks to juniverse for sending me the simpler solution! :D I over complicate
things sometimes, huh?

The door should open, proceed to the next [final] room.

**Brainteaser Room 3: [BTE3]**

   A B C
 [ ][ ^ ][ ]
1[ ][ B ][ ]
 [___][___][___]
 [ ][ ][ ]
2[ ][ X ][ ]
 [___][___][___]

A smaller grid this time. This makes it slightly more difficult. Much more
rolling around and backtracking!

Step by Step:

1- Move the only block (B1) LEFT to A1.
2- Move the block DOWN to A2.
3- Move the block RIGHT to B2.
4- Move the block UP to B1.
5- Move the block RIGHT to C1.
6- Move the block DOWN to C2.
7- Move the block LEFT to B2.
8- Move the block LEFT to A2.
9- Move the block UP to A1.
10-Move the block RIGHT to B1.
11-Move the block DOWN To B2.

More tumbling. It will become slightly more complex when more blocks are
introduced.

The door will open, and you have now completed the Brainteaser! Claim your
prize, then leave out the right exit. Cross the bridge, and take what is in the
small chest as well.

The prizes are an ANCIENT GOLD PIECE and BIG GREEN RUPEE. A thanks to panda
naban for the correction!

==================================================

Braintwister Block Puzzle [Btw]

==================================================

These are the intermediate block puzzles. It is the cave up the steep steps on
the left of the Braintwister (center) cave. Enter and proceed down the hall to
begin the puzzles.

**Braintwister Room 1: [BTW1]**

   A B C D E
      [ ][ ][ ]
1 [ ][ ][ ]
  ___ [___][___][___] ___
 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
2[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
 [___][___][___][___][___]
 | ^ |[ ][ ][ ]| ^ |
3| B |[ ][ ][ ]| B |
 |___|[___][___][___]|___|
      [ ][ ][ ]
4 [ X ][ ][ X ]
      [___][___][___]

Introducing multiple block puzzles! These really aren't as hard as they look,
just follow the steps properly.

Also; for simplicity, in multiple block puzzles, I will state which block I'm
referring to (As Block 1, Block 2, etc.).

Step by Step:

(Block 1 = The block in A3)
(Block 2 = The block in E3)

BLOCK 1:
1- Move block RIGHT to B3.
2- Move block DOWN to B4.
3- Move block RIGHT to C4.
4- Move block UP to C3.
5- Move block RIGHT to D3.
6- Move block DOWN to D4.

BLOCK 2:
1- Move block UP to E2.
2- Move block LEFT to D2.
3- Move block DOWN to D3.
4- Move block LEFT to C3.
5- Move block DOWN to C4.

BLOCK 1:
7- Move block UP to D3. Don't worry! We just need to take it out to give room
to push Block 2, and we will put it back in place. :)

BLOCK 2:
6- Move block LEFT to B4.

BLOCK 1:
8- Move block DOWN to D4. .

Note: Upcoming block puzzles call for moving already properly placed blocks off
their panels to make room to push others. I wrote the step by steps accordingly,
so hopefully it's easy to follow!

Door opened. Proceed to the next room!

**Braintwister Room 2: [BTW2]**

   A B C
 [ ]| ^ |[ ]
1[ ]| B |[ ]
 [___]|___|[___]
 [ ][ ][ ]
2[ X ][ ][ X ]
 [___][___][___]
 [ ]| ^ |[ ]
3[ ]| B |[ ]
 [___]|___|[___]

Two blocks, smaller area.

Step by Step:

(Block 1 = The block in B1.)
(Block 2 = The block in B3.)

BLOCK 1:
1- Move block DOWN to B2.
2- Move block LEFT to A2.
3- Move block UP to A1.
4- Move block RIGHT to B1.
5- Move block DOWN to B2.
6- Move block RIGHT to C2.

BLOCK 2:
1- Move block LEFT to A3.
2- Move block UP to A2.
3- Move block UP to A1.
4- Move block RIGHT to B1.
5- Move block DOWN to B2.
6- Move block DOWN to B3.
7- Move block LEFT to A3.
8- Move block UP to A2.
9- Move block RIGHT to B2.
10-Move block DOWN to B3.
11-Move block LEFT to A3.
12-Move block UP to A2.

It wasn't that bad, huh?

The door should open, proceed to the final room of the Braintwister.

**Braintwister Room 3: [BTW3]**

   A B C D E
 [ ][ ] [ ][ ]
1[ X ][ ] [ ][ X ]
 [___][___] ___ [___][___]
 [ ]| ^ |[ ]| ^ |[ ]
2[ ]| B |[ ]| B |[ ]
 [___]|___|[___]|___|[___]
      [ ]| ^ |[ ]
3 [ ]| B |[ ]
      [___]|___|[___]
      [ ][ ][ ]
4 [ ][ X ][ ]
      [___][___][___]

The last room of the Braintwister. It's easier than it looks. :)

Step by step:

(Block 1 = The block in B2.)
(Block 2 = The block in C3.)
(Block 3 = The block in D2.)

Note: This may get a little confusing. Keep track of where your Blocks are! It
is easier to remember which block is which if you just look at it's last
position before it's next step. (For example: When at Block 1's 5th step,
look at where it ended on Block 1's 4th step.) :) Hope it helps!

BLOCK 1:
1- Move block DOWN to B3.

BLOCK 2:
1- Move block UP to C2.

BLOCK 3:
1- Move block UP to D1.

BLOCK 1:
2- Move block RIGHT to C3.

BLOCK 2:
2- Move block LEFT to B2.

BLOCK 1:
3- Move block DOWN to C4.

BLOCK 2:
3- Move block LEFT to A2.
4- Move block UP to A1.

BLOCK 3:
2- Move block DOWN to D2.
3- Move block DOWN to D3.
4- Move block LEFT to C3.
5- Move block LEFT to B3.
6- Move block UP to B2.
7- Move block RIGHT to C2.
8- Move block RIGHT to D2.
9- Move block UP to D1.
10-Move block RIGHT to E1.
11-Move block DOWN to E2.
12-Move block LEFT to D2.
13-Move block UP to D1.
14-Move block RIGHT to E1.

Triple block puzzles. Fun.

And when that's done, the door will open. Congrats, you just completed the
Braintwister puzzles. :)

Go claim your prize, a HEART CONTAINER [#13]! Then be sure to grab the smaller
chest on the way out, containing a BIG GREEN RUPEE.

==================================================

Brainmasher Block Puzzle [Bmr]

==================================================

These are "expert" block puzzles. Don't be intimidated by the name, though.
While they are more difficult, that's what this guide is here for.
There is a lot of fun on finding other ways to do it, but I will provide a step
by step for one of the ways anyway. :)

To access it, go right up more steep steps from the "Braintwister" cave
(located left of the "Brainteaser" cave in the center.) Enter and proceed down
the hall to begin.
