~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
/2/ Intro to Star Trek/This Game
Star Trek is one of my favorite topics to talk about. It is mainly about a
group of people who are exploring space and meeting new cultures and species.
Many of these people are war-like and that is how we get to this game. The
Federation part takes place during the movie era around "The Motion
Picture"(1), "The Wrath of Khan"(2), and "The Search For Spock"(3). The
Klingon part takes place sometime after the events of "The Undiscovered
Country"(6). Basically, the Federation and Klingons are at war with each
other for reasons unknown. The other races in this game are the Romulans,
Gorn, and the Orions. The Federation were/are at war with the Romulan Star
Empire on an on and off basis (not all the time). The Federation have also
had minor skirmishes with the Gorn Heregemony. And last but not least, the
Orions are pirates. There is really no explanation on why the Federation
does not like the Orions. During the Klingon Campaign, you will fight
Romulans along side the Federation and also go through a civil war with
the infamous Duras house that has been seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
/4/ Game Play
Basically, you are in charge of a Starship which you are sent on missions with.
Each missions has many different solutions and outcomes. For example, you can
have diplomatic solutions or you can fight your way out. Starfleet prefers
diplomacy so I suggest you try diplomacy first and not fire your weapons at the
first thing you can get a target lock on (diplomacy works very well on some
missions). You can also upgrade you crew to do special things with the ship.
/5/ Weapons and Shielding
Before you meet the ships, you should know about your weapons and defences.
Primary Weapons: Phasers - Maximum Range is around 250 with a bigger damage
range under 75.
Secondary Weapons: Photon Torpedoes - Maximum Range somewhere near 150.
Primary Weapons: Disruptors - Maximum Range at 175 with a better accuracy
range under 75.
Secondary Weapons: Photon Torpedoes - Maximum Range around 250.
Primary Weapons: Disruptors - Maximum Range at 250 with a better accuracy
range under 100.
Secondary Weapons: Plasma Bolt - Maximum Range around 150, Better
Accuracy/Bigger Damage found under 25.
Shields protect you and your ship. The larger the ship, the more damage
shields can take.
/6/ Ships
The Federation, Klingons, and Romulans have the main 5 types of ships:
Frigate, Destroyer, Light Cruiser, Heavy Cruiser, and Dreadnaught. The
Federation has an extra ship and the Gorn have the Light Cruiser and Heavy
Cruiser while the Orions have the Destroyer and Heavy Cruiser classes.
Federation Ships: Knowing the size of the Star Trek Universe, there are many
ships that have had one second shots of them seen in the shows and movies.
Others have found these ship or the producers have published them in books
unfortunately, I have recently discovered that the site that had these names
was taken down. The site was a site that housed downloadable ships for the
SFC (Star Fleet Command) game series.
Frigate - Polaris Class
/8/ Missions
All missions have a spoiler/spoilers so if you do not want to find out how the
mission turns out, I will warn you before we get to the major plot spoilers.
/8A/ United Federation of Planets Missions
For these missions, try diplomacy and be as nice as possible even to the aliens
who are mean and nasty to you. As a Starfleet officer, you must try and avoid
hostile situations and make peace with different cultures whenever possible.
/8A1/ Mission 1: Shakedown
Ship: USS Essex, Polaris Class Frigate
You have been assigned to the USS Essex which is a Polaris Class Frigate.
Stardate: 7428.6
You start out by receiving a hail from the training facility. You will get a
mission briefing from the Admiral of this sector. He will order you to a sensor
buoy. Also an option is hailing the USS Lovell. Your friend Daine from the
academy is also getting some training. After you reach the buoy, you will be
dispatched to the next buoy. Head there. The training facility will then hail
you again to partake in live weapons tests in sector 53. Warp there by the way
listed in the controls or use the warp button in the lower left hand corner of
the navigation menu. The Admiral will then hail and tell you to proceed to
destroy one of the buoys by going to Red Alert. Either use the buttons for the
Alert Menu or use the touch screen. Personally, I only use L and the
D-pad/Control Pad and the rest I use the touch screen for. Now, get into a
range somewhere near 75. Use a series of torpedoes and phasers to destroy the
bouy. Again, the controls are near the beginning of the guide if you need help
controlling the weapons and the ship or use the touch screen and everything is
a little easier. If you want to overcharge your weapons, you can but after a
while, the batteries will not recharge so you do have limited power. Head in
the direction of the next buoy and destroy it just like last time. After it is
destroyed, you will be called into active duty as a freighter attacked a
transport. Warp to sector 32 to find out what the problem is about. You will
find an Andorian freighter attacking a Federation transport. Hail the
transport and tell them that you will be right there. Then you can hail the
freighter but there will be no response. I say do it anyway as you could get
extra points on the mission. Scan the freighter to find it fully crewed. Since
it attacked a transport and will not respond to hails, opening fire is your
last resort. Use everything at your disposal. After you damage the freighter
a little bit, the Admiral will order you to stand down and return to base.
Never, ever question the orders of a superior officer unless it is extremely
life threatening to you. Choose the second option and break off pursuit. Head
back to base. When  you reach the base, answer the hail from the training
facility and then ask T'Kal who is on the freighter. When you find out that
it is Daine, hail the freighter. You will find out that the Freighter and the
transport were a set up to test your performance as a Starfleet officer. You
did really well and you have been selected to stay in command of the USS Essex.
Now, all you have to do is move up to the base and you will dock automatically.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8A2/ Mission 2: Hostilities
Stardate: 7436.9
Ship: USS Essex, Polaris Class Frigate
You have been ordered to patrol the Klingon Neutral Zone.
Hail the training facility and tell them that you will be heading out. Then
hail the USS Missouri and tell the Admiral that you are ready for your first
mission. Go to Yellow Alert and Warp to the Neutral Zone. You will be stopped
by an incoming distress call. After listening to it you will find out that it
is coming from a planet called Kantare, a Class M planet with a primary
industry of mining turanium which is used for warp cores. You will then need to
warp to Kantare. Hail the planet to speak to Simon Caraway and then ask what
happened, then ask if the claimed attacks are unprovoked. Then ask where the
raiders are from. Tell him that you will prepare the best course of action and
then end the transmission. Go to Red Alert and warp to the large moon. Scan the
system then the freighters. You will find them to be Mark 1 freighters. Hail
them as soon as you finish scanning. Respond to their first comment then tell
them that you will listen to them (option 2). Ask them to explain why they
wanted Starfleet to come there. Respond to thw next two comments/questions then
Tell them to stand down and make sure that the facts are given to their
governor (option 2) then tell them that they will have a fair hearing (option
1). End transmission and escort them to Kantare. Hail Kantare and then link the
communication to the governor's office. Respond to the question/comments from
Mr. Caraway and then scan the freighters thaty just warped in to find the three
freighters as Mark 2 freighters. Hail the Raider Ship and tell him that you
thought that there were no armed ships belonging to Mr. Caraway. Then end the
transmission. Hail the freighters. Tell them to stand though they will not
respond. Open fire on the freighters. You will need to destroy all three
freighters with the help of the raiders. After taking out the first freighter,
go for the nearest freighter then go after the other one depending if it was
destroyed yet. Use a combo of photons and phasers. Also when you get really
close, attempt to take out one shield with an overcharged torpedo.
After the ships are destroyed, answer the hail from the governor to find out
that Mr. Caraway was taken into custody. Release control of the situation to
the governor. Hail the raider ship and tell them to stand down so that they can
be taken into custody.
Go to Condition Green and then warp to Space Station K-7. Hail the Station to
request permission to dock. End transmission and like last mission, fly in
close to the Space Station to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8A3/ Mission 3: Border Patrol
Stardate: 7442.8
Ship: USS Essex, Polaris Class Frigate
You are still on border patrol for the Klingon Neutral Zone.
At the start of every mission, go through everything you can scan and then go
through everything that you can hail. Last place you should hail is the base.
Tell them that you will be responding to a distress call. Go to Red Alert and
warp to the Neutral Zone. When you arrive, hail the freighter Miriam. After
talking to the captain, hail the Klingon Ship. Tell the Klingon Commander that
you want to discuss the current situation (option 1). Ask what happened Then
tell the Klingon that you understand and that you will need to find out what
happened. End the transmission and hail the Miriam again. Respond to everything
that Captain Wharton says then hail the IKS Bathma. Choose the first option
when the Commander Kroos responds. Respond to the next comment and then tell
Commander Kroos that you want to compromise (option 3). Tell him that you want
to take the crew but he can keep the freighter. Respond to the next comments
and then end the transmission. Prepare to attack the Klingon ship. Hail the
Miriam and tell them to leave the area. You will then have to battle the
Klingons. T'Kal will tell you that the Miriam has left the area. After you
destroy the first Klingon ship, warp back to Space Station K-7. Once there,
hail the Miriam and talk to Captain Wharton. Then hail the Starbase and request
permission to dock. Move in close to the base to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
Also for finishing this mission, you have unlocked the Romulan Frigate for the
Skirmish and Multiplayer Modes.
/8A4/ Mission 4: Ambassador Escort
Stardate: 7449.3
Ship: USS Essex, Polaris Class Frigate
You have been ordered to escort a Vulcan Ambassor from the Federation side of
the Klingon Neutral Zone. The Ambassador is returning form Qo'noS (pronounced
as Kronos but hey, now you know one word in Klingonese) on a mission of
negotiations.
Hail the Starbase and tell them that you are going to be heading out. Go to Red
Alert and warp to the Neutral Zone. Scan the sector. After a second or so, you
will be hailed by the Taopok and scolded by the Vulcan Ambassador for raising
shields and readying weapons. The Vulcan Ambassador will express concern of
danger and that you should warp to Space Station K-7. End transmission and do
so. You will drop out of warp and return to the coordinates of the Taopok
because there was a problem with their warp coils which caused them to not be
able to go to warp. He will say that his engineers can fix the problem. Sensors
will pick up another ship coming in. When scanned, it is identified as Klingon
in design even though they are attempting to block the scans. Hail the Unknown
Ship with no response. Ready weapons and prepare for combat. The Taopok will be
destroyed no matter what you do. Warp to the Eridini Sector to follow the enemy
ship. Once there, scan the sector to pick up a trace of the enemy ship. Either
warp to the Planet Suliban or the Romulan Neutral Zone.
Romulan Neutral Zone: Once there, there is nothing but the Freighter Sunset
which is a standard freighter. If you hail the freighter, the captain will not
have seen a Klingon Ship. Warp to the Planet Suliban.
Planet Suliban: When you arrive, there will be a Romulan and a Klingon Ship.
Scan and hail the Unidentified ship. The Romulan will warp out while you will
be left to deal with the Klingon. Since the Klingon wants a beating, let him
have it. After destroying the Klingon Ship, Warp back to Space Station K-7.
Once there, hail the Starbase and request docking clearance. Once you have it,
move your ship in close for automatic docking.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8A5/ Mission 5: Cloaked
Stardate: 7457.2
Ship: USS Amundsen, Charger Class Destroyer
You have been ordered to destroy the Romulan Ship that assisted in the
assassination of Ambassador Sorlin.
Go to Red Alert and hail the Starbase. Tell them that you are going to head out
and then warp to the Archanis Sector. Once there, scan the system and hail the
romulan ship. They will not respond. Be careful as this is a Light Cruiser.
They will first cloak and then decloak and fire their disruptors and their
plasma bolt which will take out one side of your shields. Recharge that side of
the shields and then favor it as it is very weak. Just barely holding. Counter
their next attack but hopefully, you will be able to get an overloaded torpedo
just as they were cloaking again. After you get a little damage on them, they
will go to warp. You will then receive a distress call from the USS Hudson.
Warp to the Andiri Sector to come to their aid. Ignore the Romulan as you are
to assist any other Federation Vessel first. Once there, hail the Orions who
will not respond. Hail the USS Hudson and tell them that you are here to help.
Destroy both Orion Ships and then warp back to Space Station K-7 which has
strangely been replaced by Outpost 11 (programming error?). Anyway, hail the
base and request permission to dock. Once you have clearance, move in to
docking range.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8A6/ Mission 6: Shore Leave
Stardate: 7463.1
Ship: USS Amundsen
You must warp to Regula 1 to deliver supplies to the colony ship Elysian
Fields. Once done, you must report back to Outpost 11 for some Shore Leave.
Hail all of the ships and then Outpost 11. Request Permission to head out. Warp
to the Akiri Sector. Hail the transport and then move within range of the
transport to begin transporting the supplies. As soon as the supply transfer is
over, you will pick up an unidentified ship heading in the dirrection of
Outpost 11. It is not a Federation vessel. Hail it and you will not receive a
response. Hail the Elysian Fields and tell them that you were happy to help
them. Warp to Outpost 11. Once there, scan the area and you will pick up three
Klingon vessels. Hail the Klingons and you will receive no response. Hail the
USS Norfolk and tell Captain Fritts that you are there to help. After you
destroy the three Klingons (Outpost 11 may be destroyed), warp to Outpost G-5.
Hail everyone that you can and prepare to defend the base. Destroy both Klingon
ships there. You will be hailed by the base and told that you can partake in a
counter attack. If you want to, you can or you can just head for Starbase 12
and dock. Personally, my ship was heavily damaged so Iwent to Starbase 12 after
first seeing what Curso was like. I had to try again.
Curso: You will find three Klingon vessels here. Join with the Norfolk and
attack the Klingon ships.
Now, for going to Curso, you have received an excellent ranking and 2 crew
upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
Starbase 12: Once there, you will find the USS Hudson and the USS Norfolk. Hail
the Starbase and request permission to dock. Speed ahead to
Now, for going directly to Starbase 12, you have received a good ranking and 1
crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8A7/ Mission 7: Shore Up Defences
Stardate: 7475.4
Ship: USS Amundsen, Charger Class Destroyer
You have been assigned to defend Outpost P-3 because of the aftermath of the
destruction caused by the Klingon Attacks.
After your crew finishes talking, hail Starbase 12 and then hail Outpost P-3.
Go to Red Alert and then warp to Outpost P-3. As soon as you arrive, put out a
distress call. And after sending out the Distress Call, hail the USS Trafalgar.
Comment on his response then Tell him to go in with you (option 2). Then hail
Outpost P-3. You will get no response so take out the Klingon ships with the
help of Daine. If you do not remeber Daine, he was in command of the USS Lovell
in Mission 1: Shakedown. After you destroy the Klingon ships, hail Outpost P-3
and you will pick up another Klingon ship heading into Federation space. If you
hail Daine, you can tell him of the other KLlingon ship and then either head
back to Starbase 12 or intercept the ship.
Starbase 12: As soon as you arrive, hail the Trafalgar and then hail Starbase
12 and request permission to dock. Once you have docking clearance, move within
range to automatically dock.
Now, for going directly to Starbase 12, you have received a good ranking and 1
crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
Neutral Zone: Once there, you will find a light cruiser. You and Daine are the
only people out there to take care of the Klingon ship. If you do not have any
or you have a little hull damage, I suggest you go there. Hail the Trafalgar
and respond to Daine's comment. Warp to Starbabe 12 for some repairs.
Now, for going directly to The Neutral Zone, you have received a good ranking
and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8A8/ Mission 8: Behind Enemy Lines
Stardate: 7487.5
Ship: USS Polaris, Miranda Class Light Cruiser
You have been ordered to go bring the USS Repulse away from the Klingon Side of
the Neutral Zone.
Hail Outpost 12 and tell them that you are going to head out. Go to Red Alert
and warp to the Amar System. Once there, head to where the Repulse is and scan
the area. Also hail the Repulse. Once you get close enough, you will be hailed
by the Repulse. Tell them that you are there to keep them safe and end
transmission. Scan the Amar System again to identify the location of the
Klingon ships. Hail the Klingon ship and tell them that you are trying to make
a peaceful contact (option 1). Hail the USS Repulse to get their status. Ask
them abouth their weapons. Then tell them that you will cover them. Hail the
Klingons again and ask if you can negotiate (option 1). Continue firing at
them. Destroy both ships and attempt to protect the Repulse. Hail the new
Klingon and as soon as you hail them, end the transmission. Hail the Repulse to
find out that they need more time to get engines but they have shields which is
good since last time they took a pounding. Destroy the next Klingon ship and
check on the Repulse. They will tell you that they will have Warp drive soon.
End transmission and target the next Klingon ship. You will get an emergency
hail from the Repulse telling you that they are able to warp out. Tell them to
do so and that you will follow them (option 1). Warp to outpost  P-3. As soon
as you get there, the Outpost will hail you and tell you that you brought along
the two ships that had entered the system before you warped out. As soon as you
end the transmission with the Outpost, hail the Repulse and tell them to stick
close to you. End the transmission and open fire. After you destroy the two
ships, hail the USS Repulse and you will get Commodore Seratrise. Tell her that
you know that she would do the same. Then hail Outpost P-3 and tell them that
you are doing your job. You now have docking clearance so move the ship into
docking range.
Now, for following my instructions/recommendations, you have received a good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8A9/ Mission 9: Klingon Raiders
Stardate: 7498.7
Ship: USS Polaris, Miranda Class Light Cruiser
You have been ordered to destroy all Klingon ships in the area from which the
attacks have been coming from.
Hail Outpost P-3 and ask for the location of the raiders. Tell them that you
will be heading out. Then hail the Achilles and tell them to join you at the
first location. Go to Red Alert and warp to Thelda 1.
Thelda 1: You will detect three Klingon ships target one of them and open fire.
After all three ships are destroyed, hail the Achilles and ask them what their
ship's status is (option 1). Tell them to follow you to Thelda 2. End
transmission and warp to Thelda 2.
Thelda 2: Once there, scan the sector. Then hail the Achilles to find that
their Captain is attempting to contain a plasma leak. Move in towards the
Achilles and you will pick up two Klingon vessels. After you give them a little
damage, they will warp to a different area. Hail the Achilles and tell them to
follow you home. End the transmission and warp to Outpost P-3. Once there, hail
the Achilles and tell them that they did a good job. Then hail Outpost P-3. Get
docking clearance and move in to docking range.
Now, for following my instructions/recommendations, you have received a good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the Romulan Light Cruiser in the Skirmish and
Multiplayer modes.
/8A10/ Mission 10: Counterstrike
Stardate: 7507.2
Ship: USS Polaris, Miranda Class Light Cruiser
You have discovered a Klingon Base. The Admiral wants it destroyed and
you are going to help destroy it with a prototype cloaking device stolen
from the Romulans.
You will find out from T'kal that the Cloaking Device you will be using was
taken from the Romulans by Captain James T. Kirk (for those of you who are new
to the Star Trek universe, Captain Kirk stole a cloaking device from the
Romulans in an episode from the Original Series titled "The Enterprise
Incident"). Go to Red Alert and hail Outpost P-3. Tell them that you will be
heading out. Hail the USS Sutherland and tell them thaTt they will receive
instructions. Then Hail the Calcius and tell them that they will get their
chance to aid the Federation. End transmission and warp to the Klingon Patrol.
Once there, scan the Aurelia Sector  and allow the other ships to head forward,
try and stay back for the first minute as you are going to need your shields.
Hail the Sutherland and tell them to protect you (option 1). Hail the Calcius
and tell them to defend you (option 1). Most likely, somewhere in the battle,
you will lose the USS Calcius. This may affect your score, I am not exactly
sure. Also, try and conserve your power reserves. Keep the battery above 2/3s
and you should be fine. Scan the area to make sure that there are no more
ships. As soon as that is done, Cloak by pressing the button beside the Warp
button or by pressing the combo of R+X. Warp to the Klingon Starbase. You will
appear to be undetected. DO NOT HAIL OR SCAN ANYTHING AS YOU WILL BE PICKED UP
AND DESTROYED!!!!! Now, Move in really close, decloak and open fire. After you
have knocked out their shield generator, hail the Sutherland and/or Calcius if
you still have them. Tell them to come in and help destroy the base. Hail the
Sutherland again and tell them to focus on any Klingon ships. Use all the extra
power you have, if you have to, to destroy the base. The best option are
overloaded torpedoes. Once the Base is destroyed, warp back to Outpost P-3.
Once there, hail the Sutherland and thank them. Then hail the Outpost and get
docking clearance. Move into docking range to await you debriefing.
If you were able to keep the Calcius and Sutherland both alive, then you will
get 2 crew upgrades and a rating of excellent. While it is difficult, it is
possible (Kenemtef from Spain, 8/21/2008)
/8A11/ Mission 11: Sherman's Planet
Stardate: 7519.6
Ship: USS Polaris, Miranda Class Light Cruiser
You are to warp to Sherman's Planet to assist the USS Enterprise.
As soon as the mission starts, go to Red Alert, and hail the Trafalgar and
speak to Daine (You remeber him right?). Also, go to full speed and turn
towards the left. Timing is critical as you are about to have some uninvited
guests. Also scan the Klingon Fleet. Attempt to move away and move at full
speed to avoid the Klingon torpedoes. Attack the furthest right ship as the
other two will cloak before they come into range. Hail the Trafalgar and ask
for status (option 2) and then tell Daine to form on you (option 1). This will
keep him out of danger as you have to keep him alive. After all three birds of
prey are out of the way, two destroyers will come in. You only have to destroy
one of them. You have to get through this part undamaged. After destroying one
of them, you will be ordered to Sherman's Planet where you, the Trafalgar, and
the Odyssey will meet to destroy the Klingons in orbit. First, allow your
batteries to be recharged as you will need them to be.
On a side note, recharging the batteries may take a while so go take a bathroom
break, go to your kitchen and make yourself a sandwich, go get your mail and
read it, or if you are in school, do your work and you might pass your class
and go on to captain the Polaris in another 20 years. Just do something
productive instead of staring at the screen waiting for the batteries to
recharge. It will take time.
Alright. Now that you are done doing whatever it was you went to do, warp to
Sherman's Planet. (In case you forgot, we have to go clear out the Klingons and
save Admiral James T. Kirk.) When you drop out of warp, you should have fully
charged shields. Take a left to avoid the torpedoes and hail Daine. After
conversing with him, hail him again and tell him to form on you (option 1). You
now have the extremely hard job of taking out three Klingon Light Cruisers.
Also, periodically hail Daine and check his status (option 2) and then tell him
to form on you (option 1). Other than that, destroy the Klingons, protect
yourself, and protect Daine and you should be able to win. After that, hail the
Odyssey and find out about a Klingon Heavy Cruiser at Outpost P-3. Hail Daine
and tell him about it. Make sure you have shields on all sides and take another
break and wait for your batteries to recharge again.
You may not get all your power back but you should get most. Also your shields
will recharge on the way to Outpost P-3. Warp to Outpost P-3 and defend it with
Daine. As soon as you arrive, hail Daine and ask if he is there. During the
battle, you will be hailed by the Admiral and told to stand down. Keep your
shields up and hail the Trafalgar and tell him that he heard the Admiral and
then tell him to stand down. Tell him that you will open fire on him if he
fires once more (option 2). End transmission and hail the Klingon ship. Tell
them that you were ordered to stand down and ask if they received a message
like that. Tell them not to fire and end the transmission. Lower shields and
the mission will end.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8A12/ Mission 12: Recovery
Stardate: 7531.8
Ship: USS Jefferson, Constitution Refit Class Heavy Cruiser
You are to rescue any damaged ships in the combat zone area.
Hail the Sheridan and wish them luck. Hail Outpost P-3 and tell them that you
will be heading out. Go to Yellow Alert and warp to the Melora System. Scan for
the USS Hamilton as well as hail the USS Hamilton. You will have to move
towards the Hamilton so that you can take aboard the survivors. As soon as you
get close enough, it blows up after suffering a Warp Core breach which cost the
lives of all 325 crew members. Scan Sector 2 to see about anymore ships. You
will receive a distress call from the Sheridan which you just saw. Go to Red
Alert and warp to Sector 3. As soon as you get there, scan Sector 3 and hail
the Sheridan. You will find out that a "phantom ship" attacked them and they
want you to keep a lookout while they work on repairs. Scan again and you will
locate tachyon emissions. Hopefully you can get a shot on the Romulan before
they cloak. Also if you hail them, Ensign Thoren will scream in pain due to the
Romulans sending a feedback pulse through the comm unit. You will get an
emergency hail from the Sheridan saying that they have to abandon ship. Tell
them that you will begin transport immediately (option 1). Go to Condition
Green so you can beam them aboard. Hopefully you can get enough shots in on the
Romulan ship so that they will leave before you lower shields. After your
shields are lowered, the USS Sheridan will explode and you will find that you
have everybody on board your ship. Scan Sector 3 to locate the Romulan ship.
Warp to Sector 4. Scan and hail the USS Hektor to find that all the crew have
died due to a hull breach. Fire everything you have at the Romulan ship and try
to avoid their Plasma Bolts if you can. They can heavily damage you and your
shields. Destroy the Romulan ship and you will get a distress call from a
Klingon ship. Warp to the Klingon Distress to help them. Once there, hail the
Klingon ship and tell them that you are there to assist them. Tell them that
your wish is to destroy the Romulan ship (option 1). Assist the Klingon ship in
destroying the Romulan ship. Hail the Klingon ship and respond to their
compliment. After hailing the Klingon, scan Sector 3 again. Then warp ro
Outpost P-3. Hail them and you will be cleared for docking. Move into range to
end the mission.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the Romulan Heavy Cruiser for the Skirmish and
Multiplayer modes.
/8A13/ Mission 13: Peace Treaty
Stardate: 7539.1
Ship: USS Jefferson, Constitution Refit Class Heavy Cruiser.
You have been ordered to escort a Klingon Ambasssador from the Neutral Zone to
Starbase 2.
First, hail the USS Martel and ask if Daine is ready to escort the ambassador.
Ask if he is going to carry out the assignment. Hail Outpost P-3 and tell them
that you will be heading out. Go to Yellow Alert an warp to the Neutral Zone.
You will be rendezvousing with the IKS Kortath. Hail the USS Martel and ask why
Daine is loading torpedoes. Tell him to back off and tell him not to attack the
Ambassador. Tell him that you are going to honor their word until they fire.
Hail the IKS Kortath and tell them that you are ready. Scan the sector then
warp to Nordir. Once there, scan the sector then Starbase 2. Hail the USS
Martel and ask if Daine will be respectful. Tell him that you hope he is wrong
and then end the transmission. Hail the IKS Kortath and thank them. End
transmission and then hail Ambassador Karf. Prepare to escort the Ambassador to
Starbase 2 and end transmission. Warp to Starbase 2. You will drop out of warp
and find that Ambassador Karf is under attack. Hail Ambassador Karf and tell
him that you will try to fight off the Romulans. Close the channel and then
hail the USS Martel and tell Daine to take down as many Romulans as possible
(option 1). Hover around the Ambassador's ship and attack any and all Romulans
near you. At some point the Ambassador will take heavy damage. Ambassador
Karf's ship will be destroyed and then hail Daine. Tell him to follow you to
Starbase 2 (option 1). Hail Starbase 2 and ask if they have heard from Daine.
Move in towards the Starbase and you will be able to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received a good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
FOR AN ALTERNATIVE, as soon as the Romulans begin to attack, overload your
engines and go beam the Ambassador aboard the USS Jefferson while using Daine's
ship as cover for you to prevent the Jefferson from taking any damage. This
will effectively get you 2 crew upgrade points and an excellent rating.
(bobboman 2000 4/14/2008)
/8A14/ Mission 14: Rogue
Stardate: 7552.9
Ship: USS Jefferson, Constitution Refit Class Heavy Cruiser
You have been ordered to locate Daine and bring him back to Starfleet Command.
Hail the Starbase and request permission to depart. Once you have it, go to Red
alert and warp to the Hromi Cluster. Once there, scan the sector and hail the
USS Martel. Tell him that the Klingons are after him and that he must return
with you to Starbase 2 (option 2). Tell him that Starfleet did not give the
Klingons his coordinates. Tell him that he will get a fair trial if he goes
with you to Starbase 2. Tell him that Klingons do not take prisoners. End the
transmission and prepare to destroy his ship. During the battle, a Klingon ship
will arrive and tell you that they are here to help. Tell them that you need to
deal with Daine by yourself (option 2). You will be told that it is not an
option. At least they do not try to attack you. Keep firing at Daine. After the
USS Martel is destroyed, hail the Klingon Ship and tell them that Daine was
once a great Starfleet officer. Warp to Starbase 2. Hail them and request
permission to dock. Move in to docking range to end the mission.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received a good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the USS Excelsior in the Skirmish and Multiplayer modes.
/8A15/ Mission 15: In Defense of Peace
Stardate: 7564.2
are the bait in a trap set to catch the Romulans.
You will get an urgent hail from the Admiral on Starbase 2. Get the mission
breifing and be assigned the help of the USS Petersburg. Hail the Petersburg
and tell them to keep a careful watch. End the transmission and go to Yellow
Alert. Warp to Outpost P-3. Hail them and tell them that you are ready for the
ambassador. Hail the base once you are in transporter range and ask if they can
tell you when the Ambassador will be ready. Wait a little bit longer to hear
that the Ambassador has arrived and so has his luggage. Once that is over, warp
to Catellus. Hail the Petersburg and tell them that it will not be quiet for
long. Scan the sector for any ships. You will behailed by General Kron. Respond
to their hail and tell them that you understand your role. Tell them that you
will be ready when you see the Romulans. You will get an emergency hail from
Admiral Jacobs. Ask him where is the path of the Romulan fleet. Tell him that
destroy the three ships, you will be hailed by General Kron. Tell the General
that only a few of the ships followed you. Warp back to Catellus. When you
arrive, you will see a  group of Romulan ships beside the planet. After you
destroy the last three Romulan ships, go to Condition Green and move toward the
planet to begin transporting the Ambassador. After you are done transporting
the Ambassador, warp back to Starbase 2. Hail them to request docking
clearance. Once you have it, move in to docking range.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the Klingon Campaign which you can play by going to the
New Game menu and selecting the Klingon Campaign. You can also play through any
Federation mission by using L or R on the Mission Breifing Screen.
/8B/ Klingon Empire Missions
the enemies you have. Today is a good day to die! Qapla!
/8B1/ Mission 1: Proving Ground
Stardate: 23018.6
Ship: IKS Karfon, B'rel Bird of Prey Class Frigate
Training Mission
To start, meet your crew and then you will get a hail from the Qo'noS Starbase
(Kronos though I will use the Klingon Name. Also in the breifing, Commander
Kadir mentioned Sto-vo-kor which is the Klingon's Heaven or ground for the
fallen warriors). Answer the hail and tell General Vor'Ath that you live to
serve. After some talking, you will be sent on the way with a freindly Qapla
(you will get several cultural notes like this. This time I am telling you that
Qapla means success.). End transmission. Then hail the IKS Velorn and speak to
your brother. End transmission and warp to the testing area. You will be hailed
again and told that you are to attack the drones. (Kahless was the first
Klingon and gave many of their teachings that they have today. Today means in
the 23rd Century as you are playing the game.) Go to full alert and scan the
testing area. Target the first drone and destroy it. Go after the next drone
and destroy that too. Destroy the last drone and respond to the hail you are
receiving from the General. He will order you to the next area, warp there.Once
there, scan the outpost. You will detect more drones coming from the outpost.
After you destroy the three drones from the outpost, you will be ordered to a
third area. Warp to the third area and you will be hailed again. You will be
ordered to destroy the IKS Franar. Hail the IKS Franar and respond to Kalath.
End transmission and destroy him. After inflicting heavy damage, hail the
Franar and tell him that he is not worthy of the Empire and will be destroyed.
After destroying the Franar, warp back to Qo'noS and first hail the IKS Velorn.
Respond to his comments and hail the base. Move in close to the base to end the
mission.
leaving to patrol. Go to Full Alert and warp to the Neutral Zone. Before you
can, you will be hailed by Khitomer Outpost. They have been attacked by
Romulans. Warp to Khitomer Outpost. You will drop out of warp and find two
Romulan Ships that you must destroy before you can leave. The IKS Velorn will
appear after you have scored a hit on the hull of one of the ships and will
tell you that they are here to help. Destroy both Romulan ships and Fleet
Command will hail you. Tell the General that you are within striking range of
Khitomer. Hail the IKS Vrlorn and tell them to follow the General's orders. You
receive word that the Fourth Contingent will meet you en route. Warp to
Khitomer. Hail Khitomer and ask what happened and how they got through the
defense shield. You will be informed that a Federation vessel responded first.
End the transmission and hail the USS Intrepid. Ask them if they know the
heading of the Romulans. Warp to Arkanus. Once there, you will see two Romulan
ships. Hail the IKS Velorn and then the Romulan ship. After both Romulan ships
are destroyed, you will be hailed and told to dock with Khitomer Outpost. Warp
Full Alert and cloak. Warp to the Asteroid Field. Once there, target the
Communications Array and go there at full speed. Once in range of your weapons,
decloak and open fire. Slow down, decloak and open fire. Hail the IKS Velorn so
they can come in and help destroy the Romulan ships. You have two ships to
destroy. Focus on one of them and then you can go after the other one if it is
not already destroyed. After both are destroyed, hail the IKS Velorn. Warp to
Cursa. Hail the Cursa Starbase. Move in to dock with the Starbase.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
When starting out, General Vor'Ath will hail you. Respond and then respond to
his directions. When done, go to Full Alert, cloak, and warp to Romulan Space.
Once there, decloak near the closest ship and open fire. Only one hit is
required so do not bother with overcharged torpedoes. After all ships are
destroyed (the IKS Vokar will assist you), two other Romulan ships will come
in. After you destroy those two ships (the IKS Vokar may be destroyed), warp
back to Cursa and hail the base. Move in close to dock.
Now, for following my instructions/recommendations, you have recieved a good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8B5/ Mission 5: Under Cover
Stardate: 23042.9
Ship: Dominus, Romulan Destroyer
You will be commanding a Romulan vessel that the Federation have given the
Klingon Empire. You are to get information on their future fleet deployments.
After you crew finishes complaining, General Vor'Ath will hail you. After your
conversation, warp to the Neutral Zone. Once there, do not hail the two Klingon
ships. Instead, hail the Romulans and tell them your identification (option 2).
You are also reporting valuable reconnaissance (option 2), and that you have to
get to Romulus immediately and that you cannot stay and fight (option 2). Warp
to Proxima. Once there, the Romulans will hail you. Give them the sign (option
1). Scan Proxima to find a ship yard. Move into orbit around the planet very
carefully. You do not want to crash into the planet. You will pick up
communication frequencies. Apparently, they are broadcasting fleet operations
to all of the ships. After you are done, warp back to Cursa. Hail the base and
you will be told that you will be destroyed. When you tell the Klingon in
charge of the base your true identity, he will apologize and allow you to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8B6/ Mission 6: Assassination
Stardate: 23051.4
Ship: IKS Kalen, Kron Class Destroyer
You are to assassinate the Romulan Emperor who is currently being moved from
Proxima to Romulus.
Your staff will talk of revenge. After they are done, hail Cursa Base and ask
them which ship the emperor will be on (option 2). Then ask about the defenses
(option 1). Tell them that you understand and then hail the IKS Dranor. After
the quick conversation, end transmission, and warp to the Neutral Zone. Once
there, scan the sector. Then hail the IKS Dranor. After asking about the
coordinates, tell them that you will attack the escort ships (option 1). End
transmission, go to Full Alert and cloak. Scan and you will pick up the convoy.
Target the emperor's ship and then decloak and fire. After it is destroyed,
attack the other two ships. The best way to attack ships that have cloaking
devices is when the are cloaking. You have a few seconds to get an overcharged
torpedo in or all of your weapons. You must protect Kell's ship (the IKS
Dranor) or you will fail the mission. It took me several times to do this, but
finally, I beat it. After you destroy the Emperor, there will be a signal
coming in.Hail the IKS Dranor and tell them of the transmission. You could go
either way with investigating or not. Like most mission, if you go to the side
quest, you will get one more upgrade point. Like always, If you don't go, on
the side quest, just hail the base and dock. If you do go...
Investigation (option 1):
To do the extra "mission", warp to Strellak as opposed to Cursa. If you want to
go home, warp to Cursa. Automatically, you will order the scanningof the
Federation vessel. There will be limited life signs onboard due to a hull
breach. Sixty (60) life signs will be found in the Engineering/Stardrive
section. You must protect the Federation vessel from the Romulan Light Cruiser.
Hail the IKS Dranor. Choose the only option to tell Kell to follow your lead
(Ha'Dlbah is a "bad" word. It is similar to pataQ which is also an insult. I
assume both of those are in relation to our "b" words, both of which are banned
on GameFAQs.) Also, hail the USS Sydney. (Just as a note, the Sydney is a
Polaris Class Frigate. And on another note, the game developers made a mistake.
A Polaris Class Frigate does not have an Engineering section. A Polaris Class
only has a saucer on two nacelles as well as a little neck that attaches the
nacelles to the saucer.) After destroying the Romulan vessel, you will receive
an audio signal from the USS Sydney. Listen to the mission and then allow them
to engage warp to the nearest Federation Outpost. Warp to Cursa.
Cursa:
As soon as you arrive, hail Cursa Starbase. Respond to the Emperor's question
and then move in to dock.
Now by going to the aid of the Federation Vessel, you will have received an
Excellent rating and two crew upgrades.
Also, you have unlocked the Orion Destroyer for use in Skirmish and Multiplayer
Modes.
/8B7/ Mission 7: Invaders
Stardate: 23058.3
Ship: IKS Hekra, D-5 Class Light Cruiser
You are to protect Klingon dilithium mines that have been raided.
Hail Cursa Starbase and tell them that you are heading out. Go to Full Alert
and warp to Minodies. Once there, scan the planet Minodies. After you get that
report, scan again and you will detect three (3) incoming ships. Hail the
unidentified ship. The Gorn will respond to you. Send out a distress call and
open fire on the Gorn. All of their ships are light cruisers.This may take
several tries to beat but eventually you will win. After you win the battle
(the other ship may be destroyed), you will receive a signal of some sort. Warp
to the Alialk Sector. Once there, you will detect a Romulan drone as well as a
ship. Move in and beam aboard the drone by going to Stand Down mode. The
Romulans will destroy it remotely. Warp to Cursa. Once there, request
permission to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received a Good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8B8/ Mission 8: Supply Lines
Stardate: 23067.1
Ship: IKS Hekra, D-5 Class Light Cruiser
You are to destroy six freighters that are headed for a Romulan Base.
Hail Cursa Starbase and tell them that you will be heading for the convoy. Hail
the IKS Kordos. Go to Full Alert and  warp to Romulan Space. Once there, you
will discover that you were lead into a trap. There is one freighter, two
frigates and 1 destroyer. Destroy the freighter, then two other ships and the
last one will warp away. You will get an emergency hail from the Kordos. They
have suffered a plasma leak aqnd your brother is telling you to leave him and
his crew. After the conversation, Stand Down and move in close. After they beam
aboard, the ship will explode and Yon'Tep Starbase will hail you. They have
been boarded. Go to Full Alert and warp to Yon'Tep now. Once there, you will
find a Frigate and two (2) Destroyers. Send out a distress call and then hail
the base. Last but not least, hail the Romulans. You will get an incoming hail
from the Federation ship, USS Stark. After destroying the ships, hail the USS
Stark again. After that, hail the Star Base and tell them that you will head to
Qo'noS (Kronos). Warp there after that. Hail the base and tell them that you
will be docking. Move in close for the mission to end.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received a Good
ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8B9/ Mission 9: Outpost Defense
Stardate: 23073.1
Ship: IKS Hekra, D-5 Class Light Cruiser
Fight the Gorn who are mercenaries.
You will get a hail from Yon'Tep Starbase. Answer it and then go to Full Alert.
Hail the Squadron and then warp to the Klingon Border. Once there, hail the
Squadron. Scan the border and then float your ship around a bit. The IKS
Ba'Nath will then hail you. Warp to the Ba'Nath. Engage the Gorn ships that
enter. The Ba'Nath will most likely be destroyed. After you destroy the Gorn,
Kensar Outpost will hail you. Warp to Kensar Outpost. Once there, hail the
base. After you destroy the Gorn Light Cruiser and Heavy Cruiser, hail the base
and then warp to Yon'Tep. Hail them and prepare to dock.
Sadly, these instructions give you a Poor ranking but on the bright side, you
still get a crew upgrade to spend however you like.
Also, you have unlocked the Orion Heavy Cruiser for use in Skirmish and
Multiplayer Modes.
/8B10/ Mission 10: Pursuit
Stardate: 23077.6
Ship: IKS Hekra, D-5 Class Light Cruiser
You are being sent to capture one of the Gorn.
Hail Qo'noS (Kronos) Starbase. Go to Full alert and then warp to the Klingon
Border. Once there, hail the IKS Di'Ra. Three ships should begin attacking
you. After destroying two (2), hail the Di'Ra so that you can pursue the
fleeing third ship. Warp to Gorn Space. Hail the Gorn ship and then scan
them. Do not destroy them before your crew finish talking. Hail them again and
then beam them aboard. Warp to Qo'noS (Kronos). Request permission to dock
from the base.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8B11/ Mission 11: Rebellion
Stardate: 23085.2
Ship: IKS Hekra, D-5 Class Light Cruiser
You must kill a dishonorable Klingon.
Respond to General Vor'Ath's hail. Go to Full Alert and warp to Oteron. When
you arrive, you will find the Excelsior Class USS Olsen. Hail them. Three
Klingon vessels will come in and attack you. Target a Destroyer as opposed to
the Light Cruiser so you will not take much damage. Hail the IKS K'Tinga. Tell
them that they are traitors to the empire and destroy all three ships. The
Olsen will hail you and tell you that their base is under attack. You can
either join them or not. To join them, select option two. To go home, select
option one.
Defense of Federation Starbase 131 (option 2):
Warp to Starbase 131. Hail the Olsen and then attack the Romulan Ships. Target
one of the destroyers and fire. Between you and the Olsen, you should be able
to destroy the Romulan Ships. Hail the Olsen and then warp to Qo'noS (Kronos).
Qo'noS (Kronos) (option 1):
Hail the Starbase and dock.
Now by going to the aid of the Federation Starbase, you will have received an
Excellent rating and 3 crew upgrades.
/8B12/ Mission 12: Hidden From View
Stardate: 23092.4
Ship: IKS Va'Tal, K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser
You must stop the Duras house from destroying the Empire!
Hail the base to find out that the Duras house is collaborating with the
Romulans by sending data transmissions to them. Go to Full Alert and warp
to the Kluntek Sector. You can either attempt to cross the sensor net or
release Tachyons and then cross it cloaked. Do not do anything. Just float
across at full alert. I know this sounds stupid, but it works. Trust me. A
Romulan Light Cruiser will warp in. These things are very fragile so it won't
pose much of a problem to you. Your shields should stay relatively full. Now,
cloak and warp to the Neutral Zone. When you arrive, you will be able to listen
in. After you finish that, scan the sector. They will pick you up so move in
right behind the IKS Porthis (Duras). Drop your cloak and open fire with
everything. Since the aft section of his ship is not as protected as the
front, you should have taken out his shields. Hail him and then continue
attacking them. You may be damaged slightly, but it should not be too big of a
problem yet. After destroying Duras, warp back to Klingon space. This is where
it gets tricky. In come two Romulan Heavy Cruisers. Take on the one nearest
you and hail the IKS Run'Mot out there for help. They will then attack the
other ship. After destroying yours (and suffering heavy damage), move to the
other Romulan ship. The allied ship should have caused heavy damage. Do what
you can if it isn't destroyed before you get over there. After all ships are
destroyed, warp back to Qo'noS (Kronos). Once there, hail the base and move in
to dock. Honestly, I just got lucky on this.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the Gorn Light Cruiser for use in Skirmish and
Multiplayer Modes.
/8B13/ Mission 13: Joining Forces
Stardate: 23106.3
Ship: IKS Va'Tal, K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser
You must purge the Duras scum from the Ganalda Sector.
Go to full alert, hail the base, then warp to Klingon Space. Once you get
there, there will be two Duras ships, a heavy cruiser, and a light cruiser.
The light cruiser is easy to destroy as it cloaks and can be easily destroyed
when it cloaks. After destroying both and suffering some damage, scan the
debris, then warp to Ganalda. Once there, you will meet up with the IKS Klath.
Hail them and then two Duras ships come in, both heavy cruisers. You must
destroy both ships. This can prove to be quite difficult. After you have
destroyed those ships, hail the IKS Klath again. More ships will come in.
Warp to the Ganalda Border without fighting those ships. Once you reach the
border, call for help (hailing frequencies). Engage the two Klingon heavy
cruisers that come in. The USS Olsen, an Excelsior Class Heavy Cruiser, will
respond to your call. Hail them and then fight the Duras ships. After both of
those ships are destroyed, hail the USS Olsen again. After your conversation,
warp to Qo'noS (Kronos).
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
good ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
/8B14/ Mission 14: Diplomatic Failure
Stardate: 23114.9
Ship: IKS Va'Tal, K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser
You must defeat some Orion Pirates.
Hail the base. Go to Full Alert, then warp to the Voltion Sector. Once there,
scan the sector. Hail the IKS Torkan. Follow them to the Tairli Sector (warp).
Scan the sector. Hail the IKS Torkan about the location in which he chose for
negotiations. As soon as you finish with that, listen in to the Gorn's
conversation (hailing frequencies). You will discover that the "Gorn" are
actually Orion Pirates. You are then tasked with destroying their ships. You
must also protect the Chancellor. His ship is the Klingon light cruiser (the
one that doesn't look like yours and is towards the left when you enter the
system). Destroy the two nearest ships. You will then be hailed by the
Chancellor to stand down. Do so and then hail the "Gorn" ship. Then warp out
back to Qo'noS (Kronos). You will drop out of warp before arriving. Hail the
"Gorn" ship and then open fire. After causing damage, their ship will be set
to overload. Go to Stand Down to beam them aboard. Their ship should then be
destroyed by its own power. Finish your journey to Qo'noS. Hail the Chancellor,
then hail the base to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
/8B15/ Mission 15: Return to Kronos
Stardate: 23128.5
Ship: IKS Va'Tal, K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser
You must finish off the last of the able-bodied House of Duras Warriors.
Hail General Vor'Ath. Listen in to the signal and then hail him again. Go to
Full Alert and warp to Qo'noS (Kronos). Hail Chancellor Vagh and then General
Vor'Ath. Destroy the three ships there (that aren't allied ships). The three
enemy ships should be a Kron Class Destroyer, D-5 Class Light Cruiser, and a
K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser. Hail Chancellor Vagh and tell him that you will
take care of Tirak (option 2). Once you have warped to the system, scan the
planet. Two ships should then decloak. Take out the destroyer and light
cruiser. As soon as you destroy those two ships, hail Tirak. He will decloak.
Destroy him and his ship. Hail the IKS Klath and then warp back to Qo'noS
(Kronos) This time, all you have to do is move in and dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
good ranking and 1 crew upgrade to spend however you feel like it.
Also, you have unlocked the Gorn Heavy Cruiser for use in Skirmish and
Multiplayer Modes.
/8B16/ Mission 16: Final Battle
Stardate: 23137.1
Ship: IKS Va'Tal, K'Tinga Class Heavy Cruiser
You must stop the the Romulan Fleet.
Starting out, hail the IKS Klath and go to Full Alert. Scan the area then warp
to the Klingon Border. Hail Vor'Ath to discuss battle plans. Warp to Sector 2.
Once there, call for help only to find none. Defeat all the Romulan ships in
the area. Next, you will get a call for help so warp to Sector 1. Upon arrival
fight off the two Romulan Light Cruisers. Hail the ship, then Vor'Ath. Warp
back to Sector 2. When you arrive here, , hail Vor'Ath and then the IKS Klath.
Destroy both the Romulan Light Cruiser and the Romulan Dreadnought. You may be
hailed by the IKS Klath only to be told that they are nearing destruction and
can't take another hit during this segment of the mission. After finishing off
those two Romulan ships, warp back to Qo'noS (Kronos). Hail the base and move
in (for the last time) to dock.
Now, for following my instruction/recommendations, you have received an
excellent ranking and 2 crew upgrades to spend however you feel like it.
You can also play through any Klingon mission by using L or R on the Mission
Briefing Screen.
/9/ Skirmish
First off, Skirmish Mode is where you can combat in various situations. To
unlock all the ships for this mode, you must play through both Campaigns.
First, select the map you want to play with. The following are the maps for
Skirmish Mode:
Gorath Sector: A Planetary system with a few asteroids. A good place to do
multi ship combat.
Camus Sector: This system is a light asteroid field along the Klingon Neutral
Zone.
Japori: A Planetary system with a few asteroids orbiting the planet.
Carraya: This is a heavy asteroid field making it more difficult to navigate
safely.
H'atoria: A light asteroid field along the Romulan Neutral Zone.
After you finish with this, select which ship you want and the difficulty
level. To choose which ships you want to go up against/have on your team,
choose Custom. Crew Level is where you choose how good your staf is. These
are the following crew levels:
Ensign: This crew level starts everyone out with no crew points at all.
Lieutenant: By selecting this, the ship has all upgrades raised to level 1
status.
Commander: With this level, all crew members have been raised to upgrade
level 2.
Captain: The ship will start out with all crew upgrades maxed out.
Furthermore, after setting all your choises and such, you may now battle it
out by pressing Start on the touch screen.
/10/ Multiplayer
Note: I don't know anyone with this game so I will only go through the
preparations of Multiplayer.
With multiplayer, you can either host a match or join an already existing match.
Host:
First, choose which game type you want. These are the game types:
Skirmish: A typical Combat. Nothing fancy here. To win, destory the other
ships. (You may choose any ship you have unlocked)
Battle Fest: Each side starts as the smallest ship for that race. When you
die, you respawn as the next larger ship. Whomever runs out of ships first
loses. (You may choose only between Federation, Klingon, and Romulan Frigates)
Battle Fest Lite: A shorter version of Battle Fest where you progress through
3 successively bigger ships. The first to run out of ships first loses. (You
may choose only between Federation, Klingon, and Romulan Destroyers)
You also have all the maps as listed above in the Skirmish section of this
guide. Crew Level select is also the same.
Join:
Wait for a host to create a match for you to participate in.
/11/ Tactical Advise
I have come up with and have been using this same tactical advice when
I used to play the Star Fleet Command series games. Since this game
relates closely to that series and I have tested the same tactics here
as I have in the SFC series, then here are techniques that will aid you
in combat.
Tactic #1: Spin
Yes, spin. On most ships, your weapons will coer all sides. Some times in
conflict, to use all these weapons, you must either unload it on a ship
that crosses your path on that side or just not use them. With this method,
you not only use all your weapons, but you can also protect the shielding
in certain areas by allowing equal fire on all sections. This also works if
you are protecting one section where you can rotate clockwise and
counter-clockwise to avoid showing your enemy that break in your shields.
Tactic #2: If you have a cloaking devise, use it.
If you have the reserve power to use this addition on your ship, then use it.
It might just buy you enough time to recharge your weapons for that final blow
against your enemy.
Tactic #3: Tailgate/Monkey See, Monkey Do
Exactly as it says. Tailgate. It may not be accepted by people on the highways
and roadways and you may even be yelled at by people, but in this game, this
might just help you. On some missions, there are a couple of ships that don't
have weapons in the back. This is when you focus back there as you can't be
damaged. Now comes the Monkey part of the tactic. Do exactly what they do.
When they speed up, you speed up. When they slow down, you slow down. When
they turn, you turn. This way, you can stick with them and keep firing in
that hole you made in their shields.
Tactic #4: When in a locked turn, turn the other way
Yes, it may not happen much, but occasionally, you and your enemy may be
locked in a right or left turn where both of you cannot go faster and are
both on the same curvature. This is when you do a hard turn to the other
side and meet up with them there. Otherwise, you might be stuck in that
position for a while.
Tactic #5: What does this button do?
Yes, I know what it may sound like: blindly pushing buttons and such, but
it isn't and it really helps (me at least). With the DS version, you can
control this game both with the buttons and the touch screen. Why not both
at once? Try using the L button for targetting and the D-Pad (control pad)
for steering and speed. Use the touch screen and stylus for weapons, warp,
cloak, and anything else you may need. This probably works for me because
I am right-handed.
Tactic #6: Gap in their shields
Same as Tactic #3, but this is on other places besides their rear section.
This probably works best on Romulans as they have reinforced shields in the
back. You may take a lot of abuse, but if you try to keep your fire to one
or two sections of shielding, you can destroy them a lot quicker.
Tactic #7: Charge the torpedoes and fire!
That's right. This can help you save your power. Basically, instead of using
your power on all weapons, focus on using extra power on your torpedoes.
Charged phasers can do something, but charged torpedoes actually are better
as they cause plenty more damage than the phasers. Just save the phasers for
that final blow or those shields over there.
Tactic #8: Wait
No, I'm serious. After an objective and you have more to do in the mission,
wait. Yep. You heard me. To get extra power, and fast, take a break. Go to
Stand Down or Condition Green. Stop your ship. Stop everything that you may
be doing that might drain power. Then put the DS down and keep it running.
Don't close it or anything. Take a bathroom break, a five minute nap, or make
yourself a snack. Do anything for a few minutes. When you get back, either you
should have full power reserves, or as much as you are ever going to see in
this mission again.
Tactic #9: Hey look, that Klingon/Romulan is cloaking!
Take full advantage of ships that may be cloaking. If you see them cloaking,
their shields just dropped and you have a couple of seconds to unload
everything on them. Cause massive damage when they are disappearing from
your sensors. You can easily destroy Klingon and Romulan ships this way as
this is their weakness.
Tactic #10: Avoid all things bigger than you other than ships
Yes, I know this may seem obvious, but when you least expect it, poof, your
ship is destroyed because you were too close to that asteroid over there. I
know it was unfair because you only had to deliver one more hit before you
would go back to base, but still, it happened. Every now and then, look around
your ship and if you are near anything big and dangerous (planet, asteroid,
starbase) , move your ship away and take the battle farther out from these
dangers. Enemy ships won't get hit by them as they are computer controlled.
Only once in my months of playing this game have I ever seen a computer
controled ship be destroyed like this. Save yourself, move the battle away.
/12/ Contact Info
If you have a comment, suggestion, question, error that you caught, or would
like to help fill an area (multiplayer would be nice), go ahead and send me an
email. I will get to it as soon as possible. If you forward me emails, send
spam or purposefully try to clog up my inbox, I will block you whether or not
you had a question or something useful to say in the future. I now have my
email up whenever I am on the computer.
Due to spam, you have to construct my email address by hand so that I stop
winning the European Lottery and my email address stops showing up in religious
texts in Africa. These are just two examples of the spam I get.
