                            Geo Location Guide
                              By: Scorchy99

This guide is dedicated to obtaining, and using Geos via all available methods
in game. With the exception of the Flame Geo, you can not obtain any of them
until after you have completed the game.

The Vortex tournament on Nessa area 2 will NOT give you a Geo, its only reward
is an evolve mineral. You can compete in this vortex at any given time after
you can travel to Nessa.

In the table of contents there are codes. To jump straight to a particular
section, what you want to do is copy the entire symbol to the left of the
section name, press Ctrl+F and paste it into the text box, and press enter.
You will jump directly to the section.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Geo Basics and their uses {BSCS}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first Geo you can obtain is the Flame Geo, you get it after reaching the
end of Genshi Area 2 and examining an altar in the bottom of the lava lake.
The Flame Geo is required to beat the game; it breaks the shields of the last
bosses when it is used in combat.

After you have beaten the game, you unlock the ability to obtain six new Geos,
and their respectful Ultimate Spectrobes. These are the main focus of the
guide.

They are:
  - The Cyclone Geo and Zorna
  - The Thunder Geo and Fulvina
  - The Hammer Geo and Larrup
  - The Plasma Geo and Voltron
  - The Ice Geo and Artezza
  - The Wing Geo and Shulla

Unlike the Flame Geo, which was automatically equipped to Rallen when it was
found in Genshi, the other Geos must be equipped in order to use them in combat
; and you can only have one equipped at a time.

To equip, or change your current Geo, you must be outside of battle. You then
press X, go to battle set, Rallen, then on that screen, you will see buttons
on the top of the touch screen, touch the one on the far right ( it looks
something like this: <{}> ). Now, drag the Geo you want to equip onto the
little man on the top of the touch screen.

To use a Geo in combat, you need to charge three bars of the CH meter, in order
to do this you need to hold down A. Once three bars have been charged, press Y
you will see a red Geo button in the middle of your screen. Now press X, and
your Geo will be unleashed.

All enemy Spectrobes will take between 400 and 600 damage depending on which
Geo you used.

But, something so powerful does have its limitations.

Geos can NOT be used:
  - In any of the large vortex tournaments
  - More than once per battle
  - If they are not equipped.

Now, that you know what a Geo is, how it works, and what it can't do, let's
find out how you get them!

There is two ways to get the all Geos mentioned previously (except the Flame
Geo, which you can only get during the story). The two methods are: fighting
in the large vortex tournaments Commander Grant tells you about, or entering
codes into the Card Input Machine.

Both methods are explained in this guide. Starting with the vortex tournaments.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vortex Tournament Method {VTRM}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The tournaments appear in six areas of the galaxy. They are, in the order given
to you by Commander Grant:
  - The peaks of the table top mountains, on Daichi
  - The desert on the fourth planet, Nessa
  - The moons of the Fifth planet, Akaboshi and Aoboshi
  - The west area of the sixth planet, Himuro
  - The surface of the seventh planet, Meido

Each of those tournaments has a set number of battles you must win in a row in
order to get the Geo. The number of rounds range from 50-70.

In these tournaments, you take cumulative damage. This means that if you take
damage it is not healed after each round, it stays with you for the whole
tournament. In addition to this, you are unable to use Geos in these battles.

There is also a timer, which keeps track of how long it takes you to win rounds
This has no effect on your ability to win a Geo. It only affects your total
score, which ranks you in the online Spectrobes community. You can submit your
scores via the Wifi upload function, and you can view other peoples scores at
this site: http://spectrobes.go.com/community/scoreboards.jsp

This is basically a super compressed version of what you'll find below

 -----------------------------------
|   Planet    |# waves |  Reward    |
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Table Top Mts|   50   |Cyclone Geo |
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Neesa Area 3 |   60   |Hammer Geo  |(called Nessa2 ingame)
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Ziba Area 2  |   55   |Thunder Geo |(called Akaboshi ingame)
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Ziba Area 3  |   65   |Plasma Geo  |(called Aoboshi ingame)
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Himuro West  |   70   |  Ice Geo   |
|-------------|--------|------------|
|Meido Surface|   70   |  Wing Geo  |
 -----------------------------------

The Geos can be obtained in any order you please, but I have listed them in the
above chart, and below they were told to Rallen by Commander Grant.

The key for the maps is as follows:
  x    is a fossil
  o    is a mineral
 !!!   is a cube and fossils/minerals
VORTEX is where you are going to find the vortex in the area

Table Top Mountains; Daichi Area 1 - 50 waves - Cyclone Geo
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Alright, so this is the final screen of Daichi area one. This vortex is a
little tricky becuase if you remember, all non-corona spectrobes, and all suits
except those that are Corona suits will take damage while you walk around
outside the battles.
This can be fixed in two ways: One, you bring some healing items with you and
use them before you enter battle. Or, two, you could bring a Corona suit, and
Corona Spectrobes for this area.
Either way, you can find the vortex on the map where it says 'VORTEX' - it is
in the same spot where you dug up the diamond mineral for Cyrus during the
story.
This vortex is found in the final screen of Ziba Area 3. The vortex is found at
the very end of the area, in the same place where you fought the boss when you
were here during the story.
You might want to watch Rallen HP around rounds 55-60, because more than once
I've take about 450 damage from the attacks of one of the enemy Krawl that
appears in some of those rounds.
Meido Surface - 70 waves - Wing Geo
````````````````````````````````````
Well, for some reason I did the map of Meido really small... This area is the
very first screen of Meido. To get to the vortex you need to follow the south
wall from your ship, then when it dissappears, turn left until you reach a
wall, then head south from there. It is on the map below.

Most of the rounds from 30-60 are pretty easy, but after you get past 60 watch
out for the krawl called vizepi and Greep plus other ones that look the same
as them, as they can do massive amounts of damage.

Strategies for the vortexes {STRT}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've got a couple good ways to get through the vortexes, I personally think
they work well, but everyone has their preferable spectrobes and strategies
so these may not work for you.
First, a few general tips:
  - Use the best equipment for Rallen (Omega Gloves, Sword, Rupture blaster,
    Plate Gear suit) equipped to Rallen before the sequence battles begin, or
    by healing with Spectrobes like Samugeki and Mossax.
  - Keep Rallens HP as high as possible this can be done using healing items
  - If a Spectrobes starts to weaken, switch it out with one of the support
    Spectrobes, or heal it.
  - Ignore the timer, the amount of time it takes you does not affect whether
    or not you get the Geo. Only completing all the rounds does.
Good Spectrobes to use that I am not going to mention below are Vilanox,
Dongiga, Masetosu, Thundora, Windora... There are a lot of them. It all just
depends on personal preference.
To be honest, there is only two strategies, but all of the other ideas I had
were just variations of what is mentioned below.
Strategy one
````````````
Depending on which side you are more comfortable with, you want the defensive
melee Spectrobe to be on the inside of Rallen, and the ranged Spectrobe on the
outside. For me, that is melee on the right, and ranged on the left.

At the start of the battle, stay close to the outside of the arena keeping the
all members of the party close to the wall, but in a line extending to the
middle. When the melee Spectrobe comes up to the first enemy, have it use its
normal attack and then charge the CH meter.

Your melee Spectrobe will be in the way, and slow the advancing Krawl. Unleash
the ranged Spectrobes CH attack, then run to the south side of the arena
charging the CH meter, unleash your attack again. With powerful Spectrobes,
you should be able to win the battle with 3-5 attacks or less.

When you need to heal, run around the arena and don't let the krawl get close,
use it as many times as needed because as long as you are only trying to get
the Geo, time DOES NOT matter.

Strategy two
````````````
Your key Spectrobes here are Mossax (or any serious healer) and a melee
Spectrobe. Naguzoro, and Inkaflare. Sides do not really matter in this
strategy. Basically what you are going to do is run straight up the middle
when the battle starts and melee the enemy krawl with the melee Spectrobe.
I would only recommend this strategy if you have maxed the attack stat on
your melee spectrobe because you need to be able to dispose of the Krawl
quickly as to prevent damage to Rallen.
It is simple, obvious, and fast; but also very dangerous when dealing with the
stronger Krawl that can deal 300-450 damage to Rallen in one attack. But this
is where the healer (preferably Mossax) comes in. When Rallen, or either
Spectrobes HP becomes too low just run around the arena and heal until your
HP is full, because like I've said before, time does not matter.
Card Input Machine Codes {CIMC}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the alternative method to obtain the Geos. In order to use the Card
Input Machine, you must have given Aldous the Upsilon Cube (found on Kolin
outside the museum). The machine is found in the bottom of your ship, on the
left hand side of Aldous' capsule.

There is a short explanation of the format being used below, and after that
the Geos are listed by their number, with the name of both the Geo and the
Ultimate Spectrobe following it. There is no #1 Geo because it is obtained
during the story line.

[ ]------------------[ ]

 --[ ]--[ ]-[ ]-[ ]--
 --[ ]--[ ]--[ ]--[ ]--
[ ]------------------[ ]

The first four points in a combination will always been in the four corners.
The remaining three points always appear on the twelve spaces found in the
middle.

You do not have to be exact in touching the points 5, 6, and 7; if you get
reasonably close the game is fairly lenient about accepting the it.

In this guide; I will refer to each point that needs to be pressed as a
number.

1 will be the first point
2 will be the second point
3 the third point
4 the fourth point
5 the fifth point
6 the sixth point
7 will be the final point

If you have successfully entered the code; you will see "Access Granted"
and your Geo will appear after you press A or touch the touch screen.
If you have entered the code incorrectly you will see an "Access Denied"
box, and you will have an opportunity to try again.

Here are the combinations:

2. Cyclone Geo / Zorna

Damage Chart {DMGC}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a convenient little chart that says about how much damage is done to
the enemy Krawl when it is used; the ~ is an approximation sign because damage
does vary slightly depending on the type of Krawl you are fighting.
 --------------------------
|Geo Name   | Damage Dealt |
|-----------|--------------|
|Flame Geo  |     ~450     |
|-----------|--------------|
|Cyclone Geo|     ~460     |
|Thunder Geo|     ~500     |
|Hammer Geo |     ~520     |
|Plasma Geo |     ~550     |
|Ice Geo    |     ~580     |
Geo Descriptions {OTIN}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These are the in game descriptions given to the Ultimate Spectrobes that are
released from the Geos. (They are not the greatest in terms of their use of
language...)

1. Flame Geo / Tindera
``````````````````````
Tindera is often called the king of flames. His body is formed of the fires of
Genshi. Legend has it that the two swords he wields can annihilate anything
they touch.
2. Cyclone Geo / Zorna
``````````````````````
Zorna is the tornado mikado and he wields the power of ruthless winds. He has
exceptional intelligence and a mere flick of his jewelled fan can produce a
deadly gust of wind.

3. Thunder Geo / Fulvina
````````````````````````
Fulvina evolved from lightning and his lance can manipulate thunder- his roar
sends fear up the spine of any enemy and his lance can lay waste to entire
battle scenes.
4. Hammer Geo / Larrup
``````````````````````
Larrup is the czar of destruction. The hammer he wields pulverizes anything
it descends upon. There is no foe that can withstand his catastrophic might
and force.

5. Plasma Geo / Voltron
```````````````````````
Voltron is the master of magnetism. He's a massive creature with untold powers.
He can emit a single wave of magnetic energy in all directions that razes
anything in its path.
6. Ice Geo / Artezza
````````````````````
Artezza is arctic cold incarnate. He could freeze entire oceans if he so
desired. He has frigid ice crystals on his body that can turn foes into
feeble ice statues.

7, Wing Geo / Shulla
````````````````````
Shulla is shrouded in a noxious fog of ferocity. His toxic spell can send
enemies to eternal sleep and his sword-sharp wings can repel even the most
conditioned enemies.
