Anyway, this is for SimAnimals, the game that allows you to play around with wildlife as God, or whatever the higher being is. Anyway, Enjoy! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [1.02] Version History Version 0.0 [28/1/09] Template Done. Version 0.1 [29/1/09] Started this ramshackle of a guide. Version 0.2 [1/2/09] More done. Version 0.3 [4/2/09] This is my only active guide that is incomplete. Version 0.4 [5/2/09] Now, given the current course of this guide, it should be finished in a set of 3 updates. One for each mission. Given that the achievements are updated at the end of each mission I complete. Version 0.5 [6/2/09] Guide is complete up to Chapter 7 and 8 is completed as well. Only 9 and 10 remain. That should be two to one updates left. Version 0.6 [7/2/09] Entire guide complete. Done and done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.01] Backyard You start off this mission with a small tutorial, so follow through that in order to figure out how this game works. So finish the Tutorial and when it finishes, we start this walkthough. You need to complete that happiness bar to finish this level, so shake down the trees, plant more of them, and constantly feed the squirrels in order to get that meter up. After a while, there will be a limit of three squirrels that enter the area. Keep them fed, and keep your new oak trees alive so you get more acorns. After playing through for a while, you get the message of Day and Night, and then, a Raccoon arrives to join the fray. Soon, after that, when the day arrives again, you get more squirrels to join the fray. Keep going, and sooner or later, you get access to the Wind ability, so read the little hint box there for some info as well. It isn't all that useful, so keep going on, feeding all the raccoons and the squirrels that decide to enter your backyard, and feed them, keep them happy and keep them going. After a while, you get the lightning ability as well. Now, to tackle the mission. You need an animal to sniff your hand, so move your hand slowly near the squirrel, and let them sniff it, and that would complete the objective. Next objective is to have an animal move in. Make them happy and have the home ready, for a tree, ready for the squirrel to move into the forest. You need to build their trust, and when that is done, they move in. Have their love bar completely full and they will move in. After that, you get two objectives. The first is to rub down an animal, follow the instructions and do so. That completes all the objectives for Squirrels. The second one is to make a mature Blackberry Bush. Get a Blackberry Seed and water it, and raise it into a Mature Bush. With a mature bush, they ask you to attract some Raccoons. If you already have them here, just wait for another one to come in. Or grow some more Blackberry bushes. Their next objective is to have a home ready, so shake down a tree and get them ready for the raccoon to move in. Next, get him to sniff the hand. Note that this will teach how to hollow a log, just put rain clouds over it and let the acid rain to erode it away. Now, you need to actually have the raccoon to move in. Hollow out the tree and let it move in. And finally, you need to pet the raccoon, and that will complete all the goals for Level 1. When you have filled the Happiness Bar for this level, tap the signpost and move into the Tiny Creek. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.02] Tiny Creek Your first goal here is to pollinate the Sundial Lupine plant, so follow the instructions that are given and pollinate the plant, creating more flowers to fly around. During that time, a squirrel will turn up. Songbirds will also come along as well. If you are having problems, hold L and shake the plant, that works. Next, you need to attract a rose bush. Rose Bushes are gained when there are enough Sundial plants here, so pollinate more so that the rose bush turns up quickly. The next objective will stem from that, you need more rose bushes so that you attract a rabbit, which is your next goal. When there are enough rose bushes, the rabbits will turn up, and you will pass that objective. Now, feed the rabbit a rose flower. Shake a bush and feed it, that should be quite simple. Next, get the Rabbit to move in. They will dig their own holes, so when you have enough trust with them, they will move in and dig their own holes. And from that point, the objectives will split. To continue with the rabbit path, you need to have a one rabbit to befriend with another rabbit. To do that, just drop them near each other and they should, sooner or later, socialise and become friends. Make sure that it is a male and female rabbit, because the final goal is for the rabbits to have a baby. The reason for the male and female is that that will lead to babies and that completes the objectives for the rabbits this time round. The second set of objectives starts off requiring you to plant a maple tree, which isn't all that hard to be quite honest. And that leads you to attract a songbird, the little blue bird, and that isn't all that hard either. Wait and they will move in, if they haven't done so already. If they have, kick one out, and wait for one to move in. Following the Rabbits Path, you need to feed the songbird a Maple Seed. Again, following the path above, you need to have the songbird move in, and this does so by requiring sticks. To get sticks to build a nest, you need to knock down a bush, in this case, a rose bush. Knock it down, build up the trust with the songbird, and they will gather the sticks, make a nest, and move in. The next are exactly the same, you need to have two songbirds befriend each other, and after that, you need the songbirds to have a baby. Like I suggested earlier, you should have a male and female befriend each other, because that will make the second objective that much easier. And after that, you've done all the objectives for this mission, so you can move on to the next one via the signpost. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.03] Thin Woods We start off this mission with a junkyard, and you have two goals straight off the bat. Clear all the junk in the area using water, and to attract crows. They are attracted via insects, found by pollinating flowers. Clear off one piece of junk, and then you get told to clear off all the junk in the area. That will unlock the Duggenweed for the Dandelions, though it might be a bit buggy and not unlock for you though. That clears up the junk objectives. The second lot of objectives is to attract the crows. You need to have plants that have insects, and it is there insects that will attract the crows to your land. You need to have the crow visit your land, and then you want the crow to move into your land, so let it eat all the insects that it wants and that will be right. After that, pet the crow, and finally, have a baby crow with a male and female crow breeding and providing a baby crow that will give you the final objective complete, and the medal for it. Completing unlocks the Humbleflower plant, that you might want your aniamsl to keep away from. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.04] Abandoned Farm Your first job on this level is to attract a squirrel to your land, and given that you have an oak tree, you need time before the squirrel comes onto the land and that goal is done. The next one is to attract an owl. This predator requires you to have several small animals, so you need to have 3 squirrels at least in order for the owl to show up. That shouldn't be too hard to obtain. How, the next part is for the owl and the squirrel to have a fight where the owl wins. This means the death of the Squirrel since the fight means hunting snack. After the tasty snack, get the owl to move in, but remember, you need some sticks for the owl to build a nest. That isn't hard. But getting an owl to be friends with another owl is a harder one. You might want to get the male female match, because the next objective is to lay eggs, which means you need some babies, and then the eggs need to hatch for this to finish. The second set of objectives will appear soon. You need to grow a blue flax plant to maturity, so sprout one, and let it grow. Easy enough. The next one is to attract a hedgehog. This is done when there are enough insects for the hedgehods to dine on. That will attract them, and the next part is getting a tad predictable. You need to get the Hedgehog to move in, have a baby, and the next part is the harder part. You need to protect the baby until it reaches its adult stage, and the hard part is that the owls would have decided, at this point, to eat anything that moves, so you are going to need to keep the owls away from the baby at night, and when you are trying to mate animals, that is the problem, the owls. After that, move onto the next stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.05] Waterfall Pool Your first job on this mission is to attract a duck, and given that you have all the ingredients necessary, you can attract the duck straight away, and before long, you want to have the animal move in. The duck will decide to build the nest next to water, not in the trees as they normally decide to do so. After it mvoes in, you need the duck to lay eggs, and it is basically the same process as an animal getting a baby. These eggs take some time to hatch, so wait and the eggs will hatch, which completes the next objective which was to get the eggs to hatch. The final goal for the ducks in this mission is to get the baby duckling to trust, or rather, befriend you, and that will complete all the objectives for the duck. The next set is for the Weasel, which is after the duck has layed eggs. The first thing for the Weasel to do is to get it eat duck eggs. When the duck of yours next decides to lay eggs, put the hungry Weasel next to the nest and let it munch down on the eggs, which means a baby duck won't grow, but you are just following orders. The next is to have the Weasel move in. The Weasel needs a small hollowed out log before it can move in, that is the requirement for the Weasel. Get a low, probably from the previous mission, and let it have the home that it needs. Then you need to pet the weasel, which isn't hard at all, and the final goal for the Weasel is to have it befriend a duck. That is all, there is no objective to make baby weasels, so yeah, knock yourself out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.06] Junkyard The Junkyard is literally a junkyard, so you get to bring in some new animals to help you clean up the rubbish. What you first need to do is to plant a Juniper Bush. Shake the existing bushes for a berry, and plant it. That isn't all that hard. The next is to attract a skunk. They will be attracted from the berries, but also you need nuts, so have a walnut tree at the ready, and they will join the frey. Then, you need them to eat out of your hand, so grab a Juniper Berry and feed them. Then, get them to move in. Skunks need to have small stumps for them to live in, and luckily, the Junkyard has a fair few of them where the rest of the junk is, in the middle of the dirt patch. Next, you need to pet the skunk in question. Finally, the last of the objectives is to have the skunk have a baby, and that will complete all the skunk objectives for this mission. The Badger missions start now. You need to attract the badger, and that means having squirrels since they love hunting and eating those animals. Once they move in, you need to feed them some fish. You need to catch them at the fishing hole on the northeast corner of the map. Feed them the fish, and then you need to have the badger to move in. They require a large log, and look in the previous areas to see if there are any lying around, Tiny Creek has one dead in the centre. Hollow it out with some rain and let them move in. Next, you need to have the Badger to have a baby, and then, when they do have a baby, you need to befriend the baby, so just cram it entirely with some fish, and it will be all done. That completes this mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.07] Big Lake The Big Lake requires you to first, shake a water lily that has a group of insects pollinating it. That isn't all that hard, given that there are a lot of water lillies here. Your next job is to attract a swan, and given that they love their water plants, and you have a fair amount of them, that isn't all that hard. The next part is to get the Swan to move in, so demolish one of the raspberry bushes and get the sticks ready for them to build the nest that they need. Now, the next part is to have the swans to get some baby swans via the eggs, so get them and let them hatch. Now, when they hatch, you need to pet the baby swan, and that should finish that part of the mission. However, keep one of the baby swans in your backpack, and leave it there, because a baby swan will be needed later. Now, the Geese. You need to attract a goose, and given that there is a lot of water plants in this mission, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Once the goose has been attracted to your lovely piece of land, you need it to move in, and they also live in the nests, like the ducks and swans. After moving in, the same story, you need it to mate and lay eggs, and then wait for the eggs to hatch. Now, this is the different part, you need a baby duck to be friends with a baby swan. This was the reason I told you to keep a swan in reserve inside your backpack. The difference between this mission and previous ones is that you are rewarded with three special plants, rather than two like in previous missions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.08] Abandoned Cabin You start off this mission in order to bring in a Rabbit, so just head into the previous missions, grab the roses and plant them, and the rabbits will come and move in. The next goal is to attract foxes, and they love to hunt rabbits, so you need at least 2 rabbits before they will move in for sure. Now, you need to feed the foxes a rabbit. So sacrifice one of your rabbits and feed them to the wolves, or in this case, foxes. Once they get a taste for rabbit flesh, they will have the objective to move into the land and they require some pretty small logs for this. The next item is to pet a fox, and that isn't all that hard. The next part is, obviously, getting the fox to mate with another fox, and to have a baby fox and that leads to the next objective, you need a baby fix to befriend a baby rabbit. I suggest that you kidnap the baby fox and place it in your backpack, and then head into a previous mission and get a baby rabbit from there. Thbe next set of objectives is to plant a Pecan Tree, and from there, you need to attract a porcupine. They will be active during the night, so your next goal will be to move them into your land, and they like large hollowed stumps. From there, build up a relationship and pet the porcupine, and then, make a father and mother happy with they have a baby porcupine. After that, get some Pecans or Cheerries from previous levels and feed them to the baby porcupine, and let them grow into a strong baby, and pet that and you finish another level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.09] Big Meadow Your first goal here on this level is to plant an apple tree, which is quite easy, considering there are plenty of apples to grow into trees. That is quite simple, as well as the next goal of attracting a deer. This is easy because the deer loves any plant and the Apple is one of the favourite foods of the Deer. The next goal is quite predictable, get the deer to move in, and there happens to be the easy part of this mission, since Deer only need to have a grassy bed, where they need a patch of grass to settle on. Now, once it has moved in, get an apple and feed the deer with it, which is again, quite easy. As you can probably guess by now, the next goal is for the deer to have babies again, and this time, you need to have two. The next goal is to grow up one of the babies into a full adult, but that is after it is born of course. Grow it up, and that should complete all the deer objectives. The next objective is for the bear. You need to attract a bear, and you can do this by having the apple and oak trees ready. The next part is for you to catch a fish, from either the river or the small pond, and feed the bear with it. After that, you need the bear to eat from your hand, which isn't all that hard either. How, have the Bear have a baby, which is again, getting part of the formula now, and this is the special part, you need to have the bear befriend another baby, the baby deer. This was the reason for keeping one in reserve, or if you are like me, you can smell this a mile away. That completes the second last mission, you now get the last mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2.10] Creepy Bog The first part of this mission requires you to attract a duck, so head back to either Waterfall Pool or Big Lake and bring in some water plants in order to attract the birds to your area. The next one is to attract a wolf, so you need a fair few animals before the wolves decide to move in. Before they are in, the wolves will need to be fed a duck, so wait until the duck is sleeping, and sneak up to the ducks and have a nice roast duck. After that have finished with their duck meal, knock over a large stump and give them a home. The next part is to pet the wolf, which isn't all that hard. Then, you need for the wolves to have a baby, which is as expected. When the baby wolf is out, you need to pet it, so you might want to give it some special plants that makes it happy with you, and makes it easier to pat. And that finishes the entire game. Done and dusted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.01] Squirrel The squirrel is one of the first creatures that you will meet and is one cute creature. They are quite to turn up as well. Now a quick note on how the system works. There are requirements that will draw in an animal. These requirements need to be sustained else the animal will move out. They can also move out if you don't feed them, or generally piss them off. What the animal likes to eat will be food that always be acceptable to the animal, but the food listed under the plants section shows what they are capable to eat. It will detail where the animals live, when they are up and about and the levels these animals appear on. Requirements: Oak or Pine Trees Likes to Eat: Acorn, Pinecones, Pecan Lives in Trees Active During the Day Found in Backyard, Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Abandoned Farm, Junkyard, Abandoned Cabin, Big Meadow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.02] Raccoon The Raccoon is one of the creatures you will see soon after the Squirrel and they are nice creatures as well, as long as they don't smell like the skunks. Requirements: Blackberry Bush or Fish Source Likes to Eat: Blackberries, Fish, Apples Lives in Large Stumps Active During the Night Found in Backyard, Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.03] Songbird The Songbird is the first bird you will see on the second level. It is a blue bird, and they love to sing, which is nice. Anyway, if you want them to live, you need to give them some sticks, which are the remains of dead bushes, so that they can make nests in the trees. Requirements: Maple Tree Likes to Eat: Maple Seed, Pinecones, Willow Fruit Lives in Nests in Trees Active During the Day Found in Tiny Creek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.04] Rabbit The rabbit is the first animal you will encounter that decides to build its own home by digging all over your land. You really don't have the control on where they live, so that is a hassle. When they like you enough, they will move along and dig holes in your land. Requirements: Rose Bush Likes to Eat: Roses, Azaleas, Blackberry Lives in Burrows in the Ground Active During the Day Found in Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Waterfall Pool, Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.05] Crows The black bird, the crow is a mean animal, after all, a group of crows is called a MURDER!!! They are the second type of bird you will encounter, and they like living in nests, as normal crows do. Requirements: Insects (Flowers Available for Pollination) Likes to Eat: Maple Seeds, Pinecones, Insects Lives in Nests in the Trees Active During the Day Found in Thin Woods, Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.06] Hedgehog The hedgehog is a rather docile animal, and a rather plump one, but they are still ground animals. They love to eat their insects, which follows after the crow, so make sure there is plenty for them. Requirements: Insects (Flowers Available for Pollination) Likes to Eat: Insects, Juniper Berry, Fly Agaric Lives in Burrows in the Ground Active During the Day Found in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.07] Owl The Owl is the first predator that you will encounter, that is, the owl is the first animal that will attack another animal under your control for food, and they have no qualms about it. Therefore, it is advised that you feed them fish instead of animals, if you want your animals to live. They also seem to have a bad relationship with all the animals they would consider as prey. Wouldn't you do the same? Requirements: Squirrels to Hunt Likes to Eat: Fish, Squirrels and Rabbits Lives in Nests in the Trees Active During the Night Found in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.08] Duck The Duck is the first aquatic animal that you will meet, so it is a nice change from the land based and recently, the flying animals that you have met as well. They eat plants based in the water as well, and no, you cannot grab the duck and roast it for food, though that thought is making me rather hungry to be quite gonest. Requirements: Water Lily or Marsh Grass Likes to Eat: Water Lily, Marsh Grass, Bulrush Lives in Nests by the Water Active During the Day Found in Waterfall Pool, Creepy Bog ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.09] Weasel The Weasel is the first animal that you will meet that decides to eat on things all meat, yet it cannot hunt. It will eat the eggs of animals, and that isn't a very nice thing if you are trying to breed animals. Requirements: Insects, Eggs or Fish Likes to Eat: Animal Eggs, Fish or Insects Lives in Hollowed Out Small Logs Active During the Day Found in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.10] Skunk The lucky thing about the DS is that it cannot transmit the stench of the skunk through the speaker. Anyway, they do appear quite late in the game but the good thing is, you cannot smell them Requirements: Nuts and Berries Likes to Eat: Juniper Berry, Blackberry and Insects Lives in Hollowed Out Small Stumps Active During the Night Found in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.11] Badger Another predator animal, the Badger loves to hunt their animals, and as like the other predator, it will hunt during the night. Again, when you don't want to lose an animal, keep them away, but the good thing is, they are slower than their owl counterparts. Requirements: Squirrels to Hunt Likes to Eat: Fish, Squirrels, Rabbits Lives in Hollowed Out Large Logs Active During the Night Found in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.12] Swan The Swan is the second aquatic animal that you are going to meet, and they don't seem to like the geese a lot. They are attracted only on water maps, and there is only one of them where the Swan can come in a play. Though they don't come in a variety of colours. Requirements: Water Plants Likes to Eat: Bulrush, Marsh Grass, Water Lily Lives in Nests by the Water Active During the Day Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.13] Goose The Goose is the final member of the aquatic birds that you will encounter in the missions. The Goose doesn't like the Swan either, so you need to make them friends at birth, less they be friends at all. They are water animals, and are attracted by aquatic plants. Requirements: Water Plants Likes to Eat: Bulrush, Marshmallow, Water Lily Lives in Nests by the Water Active During the Day Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.14] Porcupine The Porcupine is a prickly animal, and the best thing is, if any animal decides to take it for a snack, the attacking animal will get pricked by the spikes, and send it packing. This is a small animal, so don't think it won't get attacked. Make those foxes reconsider their choice of target. Requirements: Pecans Likes to Eat: Pecans, Cherry, Chestnut Lives in Hollowed Out Large Stumps Active During the Night Found in Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.15] Fox The Fox is the first day predator that you will see. It, like the Badger and the Owl, loves to hunt squirrels and they also love their rabbits, though they will settle for the abundance of fish if need be. They will however, hunt anything smaller than them, so keep an eye on them Requirements: Hunting Animals Likes to Eat: Squirrels, Rabbits, Fish Lives in Hollowed Out Small Logs Active During the Day Found in Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.16] Deer The Deer is a plant loving animal, they will only eat plants. They, along with the rabbits, basically chow down on any plant, and if you have a look at most plants, they are one of the prime consumers. Requirements: Plants Likes to Eat: Apple, Blackberry, Cherry Lives in a Grassy Bed Active During the Day Found in Big Meadow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.17] Bear The Bear is an omnivore, they will always eat plants when they are available but if you do not feed it, it will go and eat the animals if they are hungry, though that will depend on what is closer. I was thinking that the bear would paw everything alive, but hey, I guess these are a varient of the Teddy Bear. Requirements: Plants or Animals Likes to Eat: Fish, Blackberry, Squirrel Lives in a Hollowed Out Large Stump Active During the Day Found in Big Meadow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [3.18] Wolf The Wolf is the king of all the predators, and they will only eat flesh, and it is flesh you will give them. They are the last animals to appear in the game, and with good reason, since they eat everything in sight. Requirements: Fresh Meat... Likes to Eat: Ducks, Rabbits, Squirrels Lives in a Hollowed Out Large Log Active During the Night Found in Creepy Bog ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.01] Oak Tree Oak Trees are one of the first trees that you will see, and these appear everywhere. They do take a up a lot of space when they want to be mature. You can see this when you read the icon glossary and see that a tree needs room, so clear out the surrounding area to allow it to grow into a mature tree. Seed => Acorns Home to Squirrels, Songbird, Crow, Owl Food for Squirrels, Crows, Porcupine Found in Backyard, Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Abandoned Farm, Big Meadow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.02] Pine Tree Pine Trees are the second most common tree and these appear from the very beginning. Again, they do take up a lot of space when they want to mature so keep an eye and move them around if they need more space. Seed => Pinecones Home to Squirrels, Songbird, Crow, Owl Food for Squirrels, Crow, Songbird Found in Backyard, Tiny Creek, Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.03] Daisy Bush A common bush, these are just clumps of flowers bunched together. At least it isn't a daisy patch. Food for Rabbits, Deer Found in Backyard, Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.04] Blackberry Bush Another type of Bush, the Blackberry Bush grows some nice fruit that you can munch on if you are desperate. Note that it isn't advised, computer chips aren't that tasty. When the bush dies, which it will eventually, it will lose all the leaves in a temporary stage, until the twigs collapse into a pile of sticks. Seed => Blackberry Food for Raccoons, Bears Found in Backyard, Thin Woods, Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.05] Cauliflower This is actually grown in a food patch, and is actually food for humans to eat, though you cannot eat it. Food for Rabbits, Deer Found in Backyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.06] Maple Tree The Maple Tree was specially imported from Canada and stolen from them in order to appear in this game. Remember, they are trees, so make sure the area around them is clear for space to expand when they finish growing, Seed => Maple Seed Home to Squirrels, Songbird, Crow, Owl Attracts English Marigold Food for Squirrels, Songbird, Crow Found in Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.07] English Marigold The English Marigold is a type of plant that is drawn or rather, attracted by maple trees. So having maple trees will attract these plants. Other than they, its just another plant. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Jesseroot Found in Tiny Creek, Thin Woods ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.08] Sundial Lupine The Sundial Lupine is a purple plant that sort of looks like your average Lavander plants. It does. Anyway, it is another plant that can be used to pollinate and grow everywhere when the insects arrive. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Rose Bush. Found in Tiny Creek, Thin Woods, Waterfall Pool, Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.09] Rose Bush The Rose Bush is the item that attracts the rabbits. Rose Bushes are created when there are enough Sundial Lupine plants that it attracts a rose bush for you to grow. I'll avoid any Kissed by the Rose puns. Seed => Rose Flower Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Luke's Dream Found in Tiny Creek, Thin Woods ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.10] Witchgrass Witchgrass seems to appear randomly, there are no set preconditions to make it appear. They seem to appear closer to the edge, and they serve as an alternative food for rabbits, to step them devouring your Rose Bushes. Food for Rabbits, Deer Found in Tiny Creek, Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.11] Luke's Dream The first of the special plants, these are attracted by rose bushes. This is just a massive fungal growth. It can be eaten by animals and what it does is that it will improve the friendship bar and trust between all the animals and you, the creator. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Tiny Creek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.12] Jesseroot The Jesseroot is another special plant. This will be attracted by the English Marigold plants, which in turn are attracted by Maple Trees. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Tiny Creek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.13] Crocus The Crocus is another type of flower, they are used mainly to attract the walnut tree in the game, which is a rather nice tree. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Walnut Tree Found in Thin Woods, Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.14] Giant Ragweed The Giant Ragweed is a weed that is generated from a bunch of junk, and you should not let these grow, unless you want your rabbits to have an alternative source of food. Food for Rabbits, Deer Found in Thin Woods, Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.15] Duggenweed Another special plant, the Duggenweed is a plant that you really don't want your animals to eat because over time, it will actually make them even more hungry than they already are, so yeah, not a good idea. They are attracted by Dandelions. However, there happens to be a bug that it might not show at all on some games. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Thin Woods ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.16] Humbleflower Another special plant you don't want your animals to eat. This will make them decrease their relationship with you, and that is a bad thing, so do whatever you can to get rid of it when you can. You seriously don't want this plant around. It is attracted by the Walnut Tree. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Thin Woods ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.17] Dandelion The Dandelion is like in real life. You can grow it until it is old, and then you can pick it up, and blow into the DS mic to release all those little blooms everywhere, and plant it back again to start the cycle. It appears that it will appear at random, so keep your eyes out. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Duggenweed Found in Thin Woods, Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.18] Walnut Tree The Walnut tree is obtained via the Crocus plant, so you will need that in order to obtain the Walnut Tree. Keep your eyes out in order for you to obtain this tree and sweet walnuts. This in turn can attract the Humbleflower, so there is a two bit process to obtain that flower. Seed => Walnut Food for Squirrels, Songbird and Crows Home for Squirrels, Songbird, Crow and Owl Found in Thin Woods, Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.19] Azalea Bush The Azalea Bush is another bush, that will leave some sticks when it burns into a cinder. Seed => Azalea Flower Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Purple Foxgrove Found in Abandoned Farm, Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.20] Blue Flax The Blue Flax is another type of shrubby plant, and it isn't all that appealing, but it is quite useful, because it is the plant responsible to attract the Cherry Tree, and that is needed later on. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Cherry Tree Found in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.21] Purple Foxgrove The Purple Foxgrove is a beautiful set of plants, and it is a nice set because it is one of the plants responsible to attract a special plant, and in this case, the Hungfoil. These are a lot better to have around since they are far easier on the eyes. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Hungfoil Found in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.22] Cherry Tree The Cherry Tree, besides producing a fair amount of cherries, will always be in bloom, making it half look like a Cherry Blossom tree, though it is no where as beautiful as the real deal. This is different from other trees since it produces fruit, and not seeds, unlike most of the trees you have encountered up to now. Seed => Cherry Food for Raccoons, Porcupine Home to Squirrels, Crows, Songbird, Owl Attracts Mark's Shimmer Found in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.23] Hungfoil The Hungfoil is a special plant, first found in the Abandoned Farm mission and this is special because it allows all animals who eat it to stand up to predators, that is, when a predator and the prey fight, if the prey eat this plant, this will beat the predator. I've seen an owl get beaten by a squirrel, so it is a rather funny sight. This is attracted by the Purple Foxgrove plant. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.24] Mark's Shimmer The Mark's Shimmer is another special plant, found in the Abandoned Farm mission as well. This is another interesting plant, the animal who eats this will be active all the time, since it reduces the need for the animal who consumes this plant to sleep. Think of it like coffee for normal human beings. It is attracted by the Cherry Tree. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Abandoned Farm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.25] Willow Tree The Willow Tree is a massive tree, and it does appear to be one of the biggest trees in the game. It produces the Willow Fruit, and it appears mainly on maps with a decent amount of water to play with. I like the top of the tree though, it does look like someone's hair. Seed => Willow Fruit Food for Songbird, Crow. Porcupine Home to Squirrels, Songbird, Crows, Owls Attracts Red Poppy Found in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.26] Water Lily The Water Lily is a beautiful plant, and as you can guess, it is only found on the water, otherwise, that would defeat the purpose of having the word water in its name. It is a nice plant, but the best thing is, it doesn't require you to actually water it. Food for Ducks, Swans, Goose Found in Waterfall Pool, Big Lake, Creepy Bog ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.27] Marsh Grass Marsh Grass is usually found on the banks of rivers and such, and you will find it on a map with a river, the Waterfall Pool map. Sure, it doesn't appear to do much, but hey, its grass and it feeds animals. Food for Ducks, Swans, Goose Found in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.28] Chanterelle The first type of fungi that you will see, this is actually an edible type of mushroom, though I don't advise you to go around outside wantonly eating mushrooms you see outside, because they are going to be poisonous. They are only edible by a single animal, the Hedgehog. Food for Hedgehogs Attracts Spiny Kataria Found in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.29] Red Poppy The Red Poppy, despite being symbolic for certain events, is attracted by the Willow Tree, and it all leads to a special plant, which is rather interesting. Anyway, look for it near the Willow Trees. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Lamhorn Found in Waterfool Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.30] Lamhorn The Lamhorn is the new special plant that is specifically attracted from the Red Poppy. This basically acts likes the Luke's Dream plant, all it does is increase the trust between you an the animal, so it really isn't anything new. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.31] Spiny Kataria The Spiny Kataria, unlike Hurricane Katrina, is another special plant. This is not a nice plant however, it will make your animals more grouchy when you let them eat it, and that isn't exactly a good thing if you want that animal to bond with another. This is attracted by the Chanterelle mushroom. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Waterfall Pool ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.32] Bull's Thistle This is technically a weed, since it grows mainly around pieces of junk, so one will assume that it is junk. Well, it doesn't seem to do much, besides attract some insects for your animals to eat. Food for Rabbits, Deer Found in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.33] Juniper Bush This Juniper Bush is another berry bush, which is handy with you decide you want to feed some of your larger land animals, such as the Skunks and Hedgehog. Again, when this plant decides to dry up, it will leave some sticks behind, just for you. Seed => Juniper Berry Food for Skunk, Hedgehog Attracts Forking Lurkspur Found in Junkyard, Creepy Bog ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.34] Fly Agaric The Fly Agaric is a mushroom that is spawned from the variety of junk that you may have in the area. Food for Hedgehogs Attracts Sweet Tiffany Found in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.35] Forking Larkspur The Forking Larkspur, where the Forking isn't replaced with another F word, is another plant that leads to a special plant, and this is attracted by the Juniper Bush. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts the Catocap Found in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.36] Catocap Attracted by the Forking Larkspur plant, this special plant makes all animals that munch the plant stinky, and that isn't a good thing if you want your animals to smell nice. At least no one will go near them. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.37] Sweet Tiffany The Sweet Tiffany is yet another special plant, and this time, it is attracted by the Fly Agaric plant, or rather, mushroom, or rather, fungi. This is another plant that you don't want to feed your animals, this makes the animal more cowardly, and if they are a prey animal, like a rabbit or squirrel, they will not put up a fight against predators. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Junkyard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.38] Raspberry Bush Again, another Bush that allows for the nests of birds. One of the later fruits to appear in the game, appearing in the 7th mission, you will get some sweet Raspberries from this tree. Food for Raccoon, Hedgehog, Porcupine Attracts Baby's Breath Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.39] Bulrush The Bulrush is a reed like plant, it seriously looks like the weed that is at the back of my lawn, that I enjoy running over. These are found near the water, always, so water isn't all that important since there is plenty of it. Common sense makes it look like a reed. Food for Ducks, Swans, Goose Attracts Marshmallow Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.40] Purslane A sort of weed looking plant, it is more of a shrub than anything else. What it does do is provide some food for the rabbits. I seriously would want them to eat this rather than killing off all the rose plants that they seem to like eating. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Samleaf Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.41] Baby's Breath The Baby's Breath plant is attracted by the Raspberry Bush, and it one that doesn't require a hell of a lot of water, considering it is found in the Big Lake mission. This is important if you want to grow the Prestongrass plant. Make sure that it is near the water. Food for Rabbits, Deer Attracts Prestongrass Found in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.43] Prestongrass The Prestongrass is the first of the special plants for the Big Lake level. The Prestongrass is a plant that will, when fed to an animal, will make them super happy, which is good if you want them to be happy with you. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.45] Samleaf The Samleaf is a special plant that is attracted by the PUrslane plant. This is a semi-weed that has no use, but the Samleaf plant is sort of useful. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Big Lake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.46] Pecan Tree The Pecan Tree is one of the last trees to appear in the game, it appears in the eighth mission, which is pretty late. It is attracted by the Pecan Tree, and it does appear rather late in the game, considering it appears in the eighth mission. The Sharp Matthew, when consumed by any animal, will fill the belly of the animal completely. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.50] Justinstem The Justinstem is a special plant that is unlocked from the Panther's Cap mushroom. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Abandoned Cabin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [4.51] Apple Tree One of the last trees, the Apple Tree is a tree that, as you can guess, produce a fair amount of apples. Food for Everyone First Attractable in Creepy Bog ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [5.01] Small Log A Small Log is one part of a collapsed tree that isn't old. A collapsed tree is made when you shake the tree, like you would to get fruit, and keep shaking the tree until it breaks from the stump and dies.
