Q1. Why can't I beat [Insert boss here]
A1. It could be that you're not at a High level, or your equipment sucks.
Usually, it's because you're at a low level. So, go train around for a couple
of levels and you should be able to beat who ever you're having trouble with.
Q2. Where can I save?
A1. You can save ONLY on the hidden leaf symbols that recover your HP and
Chakra. Unlike the first POTN, you cannot save anywhere you want, which
stinks.
Q3. What's the plot of the game?
A3. The plot revolves around getting 5 mirrors to seal a spirit beast. For
those of you who wanted a plot for the manga/anime series, don't worry.
In order to get the mirrors, you must defeat a boss. The bosses are main
enemies from the series such as Itachi and Kisame.
Q4. Can you play as [character]?
A4. See the Characters Section of the guide for details
Q5. What difference does it make where I put my characters in their
formation? What's the best formation?
A5. Formations can help your characters in battle because they can either
boost their ATK or DEF, depending in what formations you put them. As for
the best formation, it would depend on how you play, and how you use your
characters.
Q6. What does each of the Stats represent and how do they work?
A6. The stats are just like any ordinary RPG, except NIN. In the first
game, this is what determined how fats you could build up your chakra.
In this game, it determines how many Ninja Tags you can equip.
Q7. What are Ninja tags?
A7. Ninja tags are pieces of equipment that allow your character to:
- Perform a Character's unique jutsu(Shadow Possession, Human Boulder,etc.)
- Raise Resistances against Elements and Status Effects
- Raise Stats
- Learn other Ninjutsu

Because of the Sharingan, he is known as the "Copy Ninja," because he steals
other opponents moves and can create them to the smallest detail just by
looking at it once.

Bio: Because of a genetic trait inherited from his mother, his father was
going to kill him. However, Haku killed his father before he could kill him.
Zabuza came along and picked him up because of his magnificent skills. Even
though Haku is a male, he dresses very androgynously, so much that Naruto
first mistakes him as a girl. Haku is very loyal to Zabuza because of what he
did for him.

his team were hired to protect the bridgebuilder, he ended up being killed.

Battle Summons:

1. Gamakitchi
Who: Naruto
Rating: 1/10
This summon sucks. It's good for the first 5 minutes of the game, but
otherwise don't bother. I guess you could use it for a shield if a boss
was going to use a powerful attack the next turn.
2. Mini-Katsuyu
Who: Sakura
Rating: 4/10
Although it does have around 200 HP/Chakra, it's low defense is not very
helpful.
3. Black Ant
Who: Kankuro
Rating: 7/10
Not the best summon, but can put up more of a fight than the first two, that's
for sure.
4. Shukaku
Who: Gaara
Rating: 9/10
Has a high defense, which makes him last longer in the arena. His Infinite
Sandstorm Devastation attack is good, as well as his Wind Bullets.
5. Gamachu
Who: Jiraiya
Rating: 8/10
His Toad Fire and especially Tongue Whip are good abilities to use against
strong opponents.
6. Gamabunta
Who: Jiraiya
Rating: 9/10
Water Cannon is like a Water Style Jutsu Level 4 and Toad Blade Cut is still
as good as it was in the last game.
7. Summoning Jutsu: Bring down the house jutsu
Who: Jiraiya
Rating: N/A
Not really a summon, but it's funny for him to use.
8. Manda
Who: Orochimaru
Rating: 9/10
Bite hits all enemies for big damage and Squeeze usually immobilizes an enemy
if it doesn't kill them already.
9. Enma
Who: 3rd Hokage
Rating: 10/10
The Monkey King is probably the best summon by far. It has a combo attack,
a jutsu like Manda's Squeeze, and has high agility and attack.
10. Katsuyu
Who: Tsunade
Rating: 9/10
High HP and Chakra and good techniques to use. Katsuyu Massive Division is
like Enma's Adamantium Nyoi.
11. Pakkun
Who: Anbu
Rating: 1/10
This summon is about as useful as Gamakitchi
12. 8 Ninja dogs
Who: Kakashi
Rating: 8/10
Not a bad summon, works well with many enemies.
13. Kamatari

Rating: 8.5/10

Rating: 4/10
Not half bad, but still a waste once you get the Ninja Tag for him.

VIII. Walkthrough

VIIIa. The First Mission [FRST]

After watching the Opening cutscene and seeing Naruto and Sakura step in to
save Nazuna's butt, you'll be thrown into a tutorial battle. Kakashi will
explain how the battle system works for those newbs out there. If you need
more fundamental information, check out Room 201 in the Ninja Academy. Don't
worry, I'll show you where it is later.
Once that's over, we're going to see the Hokage. Or atleast not right this
second. It's time to pillage the village! If you don't want to pillage right
now, I've made a separate section that advances the story.

Outside the gate to the left of the guard is some Chakra Chinese Medicine
Pills. These items raise your stats. Make sure to notice the Hidden Leaf
symbol near the exit. That will recover everyone's HP and Chakra fully,
and unlike the first Path of the Ninja, you can only save on one of these
symbols.
Go inside the gate. The first building you'll see is Ichiraku's Ramen. It
doesn't seem to serve any purpose, unlike the first game, so just leave it
alone for now.
The shop right beside it is the Ninja Tag shop. See the FAQs section
for an explanation on Ninja Tags. Inside you'll find a Hidden Leaf Style Ninja
Tag, which will allow you to cover allies when their HP is low, taking damage
for them and preventing their death.
To the left of the Ninja Tag shop is a flower shop. You'll see Ino behind
the cash register, as her and her mother run the place. Nothing special here.
Behind the Flower shop is a Japanese-style mansion. Go in the gate and in the
left corner is some Family Secret Ointment. This will heal everyone in your
party's HP and Chakra fully. You can only use it in battle.
Behind Ichiraku's is the Weapon/Armor Shop. Behind the Weapon/Armor shop is
a Restaurant named the "BBQ-Q". There's a toothpick in a chest to the right
inside BBQ-Q. This is an attack item, although not a very strong one.
Next to the BBQ-Q is Naruto's house. Right outside you can find some Sweet
Chestnuts. Chestnuts fill both your HP and Chakra, depending which kind you
get. Inside Naruto's house, beside the bed is a Cup of Ramen. This is a food
item, the Cup of Ramen will heal your HP a little bit. If you go to the next
room and look at the scrolls, you'll find an Escape scroll. These let you
teleport to the entrance of a dungeon or teleport you outside of a battle.
Next to Naruto's house is the Chestnuts Shop. Below that is the regular Items
shop. Go to the right to the next screen.
The first house you see is Kakashi's house. Nothing to steal there, so keep
going. The building(tower?) beside the naruto movie poster is the movie
theater. Despite it's name it does not let you watch movies of any sort.
The characters you bring in just make comments. In order to see the "movie"
you need to find the tickets.
Keep going and the next house you see (I think) is Sasuke's house. The sad
song and the Team 7 picture lying down hints that this is Sasuke's house,
although no villagers say who lived there.
Keep going and you'll run into Guy's Tent. Nothing Special here, so keep going
until you get to the Hot Springs. Unfortunately you can't enter, but there is
800 Ryo to the left of the entrance.
Go back to Sasuke's house and walk inbetween the house and movie theater. Go
across the bridge and you'll find a chest that contains an Immobility manual.
Now go all the way down to the left. You'll find an Immobility manual. The
manuals cure you of status effects.
Go back across the bridge and take a left. There should be a house that we
missed that's inbetween Kakashi's House and the movie theatre. This is
Shikamaru's house. If you go to the left, you'll find 2 chests. The one on the
left contains a Silver Ticket. This allows you to see a movie in the theatre.
The right one contains Strong Ninja Power Chinese Medicine Pills(Whew!).
Go out and back to the BBQ-Q. Go up into the next screen.
The building on the left is the Leaf hospital. To the left of the nurse that's
standing outside the entrance is a General Manual. These heal any status
effects for the whole party.
Inside go to the second room on the left. You'll find a Blind Resistance:Rin
Ninja Tag. Go outside the room and to the end of the Hallway. You'll get a
Cosmos. These are Smiley items, which can either make the person you use it
on�s morale go up or down. The morale affects your stats in a way. If you have
low morale, your stats will be lowered, but if you have high morale, your
stats will be higher than normal.
Go to the counter and up the stairs. On the roof, in between the door and the
water tower, you'll find a Special Chinese Medicine Pill.
Go all the way out and go up. Take the first left. There's a kid blocking a
chest right now, but remember it for later.
Go back to the main path and across the bridge. This is the Ninja Academy.
Go to the right and infront of a tree will be a Blindness Manual.
Go inside the Ninja Academy and up the stairs to the left. Go down some
and there you'll find a smoke bomb. These blind all enemies on the
screen. Now go around, ignoring the stairs that go to the roof. Above a
doorway you'll find a Poison manual. Keep going around and down until you
see another chest. It contains a Flash Bomb. These will blind all enemies
on the screen. Now go in the room to the right. This is Room 201; Here you
can learn fundamentals to the game. You'll find a chest in the bottom of the
room that contains some Food Pills. These recover your HP.
Go out and back to the first floor. In the lobby you'll see two doors. The one
on the left is the Kumite Dojo. Look at the Kumite Dojo section for more
details. In the middle of the two doors is Konohamaru, Grandson of the 3rd
Hokage. He allows you to use the Summoning Sheet, just like he did in the last
game. Check the Summoning Sheet section for more details. Lastly, we have a
defunct Mission Reception. IN the first game this is where you went to
progress the story. There's nothing else here except 300 Ryo in the top left
corner.
Now go out and to the entrance of the screen. The house on the right is a
normal ninja's house. Inside you'll find a Naruto Card, another Smiley Item.
Outside and to the right you'll find a Fire Style Defense:Rin Ninja Tag.

ii.Visiting Tsunade [TSUN]

Our last stop of the day is the Hokage's HQ. For those of you who skipped the
giant pillaging section, Go up one screen and to the utmost right. Go in the
Tower.To the right, there's a man leaning up against a shelf of scrolls.
Remember him.
Anyway, talk to Tsunade and watch the scene.
You'll receive BTL Summon: Gamakitchi from Jiraiya. He'll go into a tutorial
battle with you to show you how to use summons. Don�t bother equipping
Gamakitchi, he'll only waste what precious little NIN you already have.
He's way too weak to fight anyone.

iii. To the High Speed Map we go! [HSMP]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So we must go the Valley of Great Evil, eh? Go out of the village and to the
Leaf symbol. Before leaving, it would be wise to stock up on some Food Pills.
Some Manuals wouldn't hurt either. Save and head out.
Unlike the first game, POTN2 doesn't have a world map, which means you must
practically walk everywhere you want to go.
Right now, there are two ways we can go:
1. Continue with the story and head right like Nazuna says
2. Go down to the Practice Field and get some more free items.
I'm going along with choice 2. Don't worry, there's only 4-5 chests in the
practice field. Plus, it's a good place to level up if you feel like you need
to.

Practice Field
Items: Medical Chakra pill, Wimp Ball, Defense CMP, Agility CMP
Ninja Tags: Teamwork
So go down and to the right is the first chest. It contains Medical Chakra
Pills. Go to the right again and you'll find a Wimp Ball. This decreases an
enemy's ATK power. Go right to the next screen.
Go down and you'll find a Defense CMP. Go to the right and get Teamwork, a
Ninja Tag that increases the chances of the wearer protecting an ally. Go up
and you'll find an Agility CMP. Go out and back to the crossroad.
Go to the right, or head back to the leaf symbol in the village if you need to
recharge.

Items: Medical Pack

Collectibles: Jin Scroll
Go up and to the right to find 2 chests. The left one contains a medical pack,
which fully heals a SINGLE person's HP and Chakra. The right one contains
Kalbee Potato Chips, a smiley item.
To the left of the two chests is a cliff. We can't do anything about it now,
but remember it for later, as we'll need a certain summon pet to climb
cliffs.
Go down and to the right. You'll initiate a scene where Jiraiya tells you to
blow into the mic(or yell if you want...), and will explain the High Speed
Maps. It's essentially a platformer, jumping over snakes and avoiding bats and
other enemies. Once you get 20 scrolls, you'll get a certain scroll. Once
you've gotten all the scrolls from the High Speed Maps, go back to the man in
the Hokage's house who's leaning up against the scrolls and he'll give you a
special item.
There's also a frog in every High Speed Map to collect, although I'm not
quite sure what their exact purpose is.

Valley of Great Evil
Jiraiya tells you to look around the place, examining things. In case you
become stuck, there are 3 places you need to check before moving on:
1st place: Infront of the 2nd house on the left(Which would be the west side).
2nd place: On the north side of the 2nd house on the right.
3rd place: On the north side of the 1st house on the right.
Examining these 3 places will let you advance. Watch the scene that occurs.
Go back to the Village it is. You'll start back on the High Speed Map when
the scene is over. Try and get those 20 Scrolls and the Frog! I'll show you
the way incase you have short-term memory problems.

Go up and to the rightmost house and talk to Tsunade. She gives you the
next mission: find all 5 mirrors within a week and seal the spirit beast!
We also get 3 new Members: Shikamaru,Choji, and Ino. Tsunade will go into
a tutorial battle with you to show you how to switch between the main and
alternate members.
In addition Nazuna gives us a hint of where to go next - The Sulfurous Valley.

Hidden Leaf Village
Since we have 3 new members, we can change people now. For my party I chose
Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, and Choji as an Alternate. There are essentially
3 types of characters:
1. Fighters - These people don't have much Genjutsu and rely more on their
physical attacks.
Examples of these characters are: Naruto,Kiba,Choji,Gaara,Neji,Rock Lee
2. Healers - These people are skilled in Healing Arts like Heal jutsu and
would be considered the "mage" tag in standard RPGs
Examples of these characters are: Sakura,Ino,and Hinata
3. Mix - These people have a good knowledge of Genjutsu, but they can also
fight if needed, just not as quite as good as the Fighter type:
Examples of these characters are: Shikamaru,Kankuro,Shino,TenTen,and Temari
I would suggest atleast having one of each of these characters in your party,
although I find you could substitute the Mix for a Fighter if you really need
the Attack power.
So go by the shops stock up on Food Pills and Manuals since you really
don't have enough money to buy anything else right now. 2 or 3 Escape Scrolls
would be a good idea too. Save and head out when you're done.

Oh BTW, it would be a good idea to put your team in a formation since you
actually have enough people to make one. Look at the Formations section for
more details.
Anyway,take the first left you see, then go down and take the next left.

Ninja Tags: Guts
There's a chest across some water. We can't get to it now because we'll need
a summon pet to walk across it. Remember it for now.
Just go all the way to the left and go up across the bridge. Go to the right
and you'll find a Guts Ninja Tag. This will allow you to use Guts on whoever
equips this. Guts will automatically bring a character back to life, very
useful. Go back to the left and up to the next screen.

Protip: Use the Hidden Leaf Symbol to your advantage. If you're getting
your tail whooped, go back to the symbol and walk around close to it. After
the battle, go back to the symbol to recharge. This will help you gain levels
you need easily because you can go all out and not have to worry about
wasting your items.
Above the Hidden Leaf Symbol is a Makibishi Spike. For those of you who've
played the first POTN, these Makibishi Spikes and Paper bombs DO NOT work the
same as they did in the previous POTN. You set the item down on a square where
the enemy isn't standing on and you hope that they hit that spot. It would
take several of these items for your strategy to work if it were based around
these items.
Anyway, Go up to the right and watch the scene.
Don't go in the left door just yet. Go in the right one first.

The Sulfurous Valley 2
There will be three chests, one of which is behind rocks. How do you get the
chest? Guess.
You need a summon pet to break the rocks!
Well anyway, the first chest on the left contains BTL Summon: Mini Katsuyu.
This is a summon only sakura can do. It's actually quite helpful, unlike
Gamakichi,Although it costs 90 NIN to equip.(GRRRRR!!!) So you won't be able
to equip it for a while.
The right chest contains Spiky Human Boulder, a Ninjutsu Tag for Choji. But
unlike the BTL Summon, it only costs 50 NIN to equip. It's still quite a bit,
but you'll be able to equip it sooner.
Go out and head around to the other side. Go through the door, picking up some
Medical chakra pills right beside the door.

On the first chest, you'll find Sleep Aroma. Go up across the bridge and to
the right. You'll find a Versatile Pill. These revive a person from K.O. Now
go right and around the cliff you'll find a Ramen and Rice Bowl Set(Smiley).
Go inside the cliff.

The Sulfurous Valley 1b
Go down and you'll find a Attack Chinese Medicine Pill inside the chest. Go to
the right and get a Chakra Chinese Medicine Pill. Go across the narrow strip
of land and you'll get Water Style Defense: Hyo. Go back to the second chest
and go down to the next screen.

There's two chests and a suspicious looking switch on the wall from where
we're at. The left chest contains a Medical Pack. The right chest contains a
Strong Ninja Power Chinese Medicine Pill(Whew!).
The switch on the wall changes something in the cave, which allows you to
continue on with the cave through the door that Choji broke the boulder
infront of earlier. Head back to the other side of the Entrance.

Now you can go through the left door I told you not to go through earlier.

The Sulfurous Valley 3
Go across the bridge and you'll find 3 treasure chests. The top one contains
a medical pack. The other one of the top right contains 1000 Ryo. The last one
contains Medical Food Pills. Go around the left side of the cliff and
you'll find some Barrier Paper. This item works under the same rules as the
Paper bombs, but I'm not quite sure what it does. Go inside the next door.

Go to the right and you'll find a Sannin Bromide(Smiley). Across the bridge is
a Wimp Ball. Go up and the chest beside the cliff contains a Medical Pack. Go
inside the door.

Go all the way down and you'll find a Strong Defense Chinese Medicine Pill. Go
across the bridge and near the door will be some Wind Pills. These temporarily
increase your agility. There's a Hidden Leaf Symbol below the chest. Recover
and Save. Head through the door.

Go to the right and you'll find 2 chests. The bottom one contains Super Brand
Versatile Pills. These bring everyone back to life. The top one contains a
General Manual. These recover all status effects for everyone.
Go back to the left and a scene will occur.

Strategy: All 3 of the enemies are weak to immobilization so if they're
giving you trouble, slap Shikamaru's Shadow Possession jutsu on them. I put
Naruto in Shadow Clone Mode and had Sakura use Fighting Spirit Injection on
him. The Hidden Leaf Shield wouldn't hurt either. When he receives around 430
440 damage he'll use Fierce Dragon Palm which will deal 999 to the party.
A scene occurs.
Go down and you'll find a Hidden Leaf Symbol. It would be a particularly good
idea to save here. When you're ready, head up into the next screen.

Strategy: Like Rokakku and the Disciples of Mu, Zabuza is weak to
Immobilization. The first time you use Shadow Possession on him he'll be
Immobilized. But after that, it seems to be harder to put him back into
Immobilization. Use Sakura's Heal All Jutsu to heal and Naruto's Shadow
Clone jutsu to deal extra damage. Choji's Human Boulder attack would prove
useful too. Haku is weak to sleep. If you can survive long enough, Zabuza
will run out of chakra and can't use Hidden Mist Jutsu.A way to avoid the
jutsu is to put your party in the Spiral formation. That way he will only
affect one character.
Zabuza can use Silent Killing, which can instantly K.O. a character. You can
also put your team in the Fortune formation, which lowers the chance of
Instant Death Attacks. You'll know when a boss's HP will get low because they
will go into a "weak" stance. Hopefully by the time you kill Haku, maybe
Zabuza's Chakra will have run out and you'll only have to worry about him
attacking, which for me was between 15-20 a hit. It's not necessarily a hard
fight, it can just be a little long and drawn-out, which unfortunately is what
the mirror fights excel at.
After the 2 scenes, it will be time to give Tsunade an update. You can either
use an escape scroll or be a loser and have to walk all the way out again.

Watch Granny Tsunade talk. She'll give you your first summon pet,
Mini-Katsuyu. This slug ignores all terrain damage, allowing you to freely
walk across poisonous swamps without getting hurt.
To summon a pet, open up the menu, go to jutsu, and then select Naruto.
Choose the pet you want and you're done.

up to 20-22 using the Leaf Symbol trick in the village.

Go down. Notice the 2 cliffs on your left. After the second one, go to the
right and step on the scroll. The ninja above the scroll will tell you about
the scrolls if you're curious. You'll see a chest and a cliff on a cliff. In
the chest is Make-Out Paradise, a smiley item.
Go back down and to the next screen.

Go to the first right you see, the one that has the sign. You'll enter a High
Speed Map. If you get 20 scrolls, you'll get the Gi Scroll.

Pathway to Tanzaku Town
Go right, across the bridge and you'll come to a fork in the road. Up goes to
the Crystal Ravine, Right goes to Tanzaku Town. I'm going right for now.
Hey guess what? This means another High Speed Map! Collect 20 Scrolls and
you'll get the Rei Scroll.

Ninja Tag: Fire Style Defense: Hyo, Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu
Collectibles: Sakura Blizzard
Just a small town with some hustle and bustle to it. There's 3 places you
can go into: The General Store(Items,Weapons/Armor Shop),A Restaurant, and an
Inn. There's a leaf symbol right below the General Store.
Go inside the Restaurant and to the right you'll find a General Manual.
Go back outside and in the lower left corner you'll find a Fire Style
Defense: Hyo Ninja Tag. In the Upper Right corner, behind the man from the
Hidden Sand Village, you'll find Sakura Blizzard, a sword that only Sakura
can equip.
To the right of the Inn is a Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu Ninja Tag. Unlike the
name suggests it does not give Naruto the ability to use Multi Shadow Clone
Jutsu, which in the first game you could hit 5 times instead of the usual
3. This Ninja Tag allows the plural forms of Sexy Jutsu and Naruto Uzumaki
Barrage to be used once you've used Shadow Clone Jutsu. It also allows another
ability, Everywhere Shuriken.
Nothing else here, so head back to the High Speed Map.

Go up this time.

Go ahead and Summon Mini-Katsuyu if you already haven't. Go all the way to the
right and you'll find some Clip-On Needles.
If you go all the way up, you'll notice some stones blocking your way to get a
chest. Remember it.
Go to the left and step on the scroll. Go around the cliff to reach a Leaf
Symbol. Go up into the Crystal Ravine.

If you go up, you'll spot Kiba and Shino. But they don't look very friendly to
you... uh-oh.

I put Sakura in instead of Ino because Ino didn't know a Heal All Jutsu yet.
Both of them aren't weak to any Genjutsu. Human Boulder is a good idea, and
I suggest using Hidden Leaf Shield to lessen Kiba's Fang over Fang. This
battle's not really too hard, it's just Kiba that you have to worry about.

Jako's Wind Style: Devastation dispels any buffs that you have on your party.
Shino's Insect Wind Jutsu can deal a good bit of damage to the enemies. Jako's
Fire Style: Fire Tiger Explosion can take a lot from the party. He also had
High Defense for my party. But as long as you heal from his Fire Style attack
it shouldn't be too difficult, just takes a while because of his high defense.
Items Received: Restrain Ninja Tag
Jako uses a Fire Tiger Explosion on the party, immobilizing them. Hinata
decides that she won't drag Naruto and others down, so she breaks free.

Strategy: Make sure Hinata is in the middle row. Use Byakugan to up critical
rate and evasion rate. Heal her if her HP gets in the 60's. Usually this will
happen after Jako uses Fire Tiger Explosion.

It looks like Jako will kill Hinata, but Naruto and the others block Jako's

Hinata will join the party after the long battle. I went back to the
Leaf symbol to recover and save and to Tanzaku Town to resupply. I leveled
my party up to 27 so I wouldn't be doing 10 damage to enemies here.
After level 25, your chakra levels up. When you have to build chakra by
rubbing the screen, you will gain a light-purple bar that goes after the
first level orange bar. This will make your jutsus do more damage, but will
also cost more chakra, so be aware.
Anyway, before that long Interruption, there was a chest on the left. It
contains a Super Brand Versatile Pill.
If you go to the right you'll notice a different colored cliff. You need
another Summon Pet to climb the cliff, so go into the cave that was on the
left.

After Hinata uses Byakugan, there will be two chests on the right. The left
one contains a precious Versatile Pill. The right one contains Insect Weed, an
attack item similar to one of Shino's Jutsus.
Go up and to the left you'll find an Insect Master Ninja Tag. Go around the
mini maze and at the bottom you'll find a Man Beast Taijutsu Ninja Tag. Climb
up the rope near the top.

Go to the left and up and there will be a ninja. He will tell you about the
value of Ninja Tags. Go to the left and down. There will be 3 chests: Left
chest - Gold Ticket, Right Chest - Agility CMP, and Middle Chest - Summon
Toad Scroll.
Unlike the first game, Summon Toad Scroll doesn't Summon Gamabunta for a free
Toad Blade Cut. It summons a little frog that breathes fire and will follow
whichever row the enemy is on, it's actually pretty useful. Jiraiya has a
jutsu that does the same thing, but you won't be able to see him until you
beat the game.
Now go up and all the way to the right end of the screen. You'll find a
General Manual. Go up to the next screen.

Go to the left. There will be 2 chests:The right one contains a Flash Bomb,

If you go up you'll notice a couple of chests behind some rocks. You guessed
it, you need a summon pet to break those rocks!
Go to the right side of the screen and the chest near the bottom contains some
Toad Brand Food Pills. These recover a person's HP fully. To the right will be
teleport scroll. Jump on it!
First, go to the left, and then down. Then go down the one-way ice slide and
you'll get the Sannin's Senbon. Go down the next slide and back to the first
scroll.
At the first fork, go right this time. You'll find a treasure chest.
Now go to the left and up. Then to the next screen.

You'll see a scene where Naruto and Kiba try to figure out how to get up this
enormous cliff infront of them. Akamaru volunteers to go into the small
passageway to explore.

I haven't figured out a way you can put Akamaru back into the hole to get any
chests you missed inside the cave, so follow my directions carefully.
If you go around and go down the rock slide, you'll get a Super Brand Food Pill.
These recover the party's HP fully. Now go up and to the LEFT. Outside you'll
get a Strong Ninja Power CMP. Now go back inside and to the right this time.
Akamaru will lower the rope for you, so climb up on it and there will be a
Leaf Symbol to the right. Save and go into the next screen.

Strategy: Water and Wind Jutsus work best against Shukaku. Shukaku is weak to
sleep-type jutsus, so use that if you need to catch up in recovery. Man Beast
Flameshot and Ninja Flower:Mimosa work well against him as well. He will
use Shukaku's Sand, which is like the Summon Toad Scroll, except it follows
what columns the characters are on. It will use Sand Burial if there are any
characters on the column, which for my party it would put them in critical.
Substitution Jutsu doesn't cover this, and I didn't find a lot of difference
in damage when I used Hidden Leaf Shield. He can also use sand Storm, which
will blind a character and any nearby. Infinite Sandstorm Devastation will
not only blind as well, but also deal a good helping of damage.
If you're around my level, dealing that much damage to Shukaku won't be too
much of a problem.
Item received: Chakra Control Ninja Tag.
There will be two scenes after the battle.

Go over to the left and if you were to go down, you would go into the Desert
of Death. The ninja standing near the boulders blocking the path can tell you
more about the Desert of Death. For now, go up and you'll notice a Leaf symbol
on the right. If you go up, you'll run into a High Speed Map. This will give
you the Chi scroll if you get 20 scrolls. If you're having trouble getting
the scrolls, don't worry. You'll get a summon pet later that reduces the
number of enemies on the High Speed Map.

Heh. More like the Hidden Weird Village. There's the Weapons and Armor shop on

an old guy. The first person that you see infront of you tells you that he
likes to sleep in the shade. Now talk to the boy in blue behind that guy you
just talked to. He'll tell you that he saw an old man sleeping behind the sign
over there.
Go to the left and if you look closely between the railing, you'll see a
figure behind the sign. Examine it. Of course he's sleeping so Naruto's going
to "Give him a yell that'll really ring his bell!"[LOL] So you can yell into
the mic or if you're on a mission and you can't afford to make a noise lest
an enemy discover your position, you can blow into the mic.
The old man wakes up and after some talking, he tells you that he heard the
mirror was in the Desert of Death[Gee, how typical.]
Before you leave, pay a visit at the Kazekage's house, err... cave. There's a
cave at the rear of the village. It's raiding time!
Inside on the upper left corner, there are 2 chests: On the left is a Wind
Style Defense: Toh Ninja Tag. The right one contains a Heavy Sand pot. Hmmm...
I wonder what this is for? Who can make some use out of this? Hmmm...
Anyway, go to the upper right corner, and there are 2 more chests: The left
one contains a Plant Growing Kit[Smiley], the right is a Family Secret
Ointment.
There's nothing else here, so go out and you remember that boulder that was
blocking the path earlier? Go back to that spot.

Now what are we going to do about these boulders? Hmmm... Oh look, there's
Neji, Lee, and TenTen! Lee says that he'll break the boulders with a "nice guy
pose" and proceeds to do so. Neji and Tenten comment that they could've done
that if they knew Lee was just going to smash the boulders.
Anyway, Neji, Lee, and TenTen join the party!
What lies infront of you is the Desert of Death.Like the man says, you can
only stay above ground for 15 seconds. Don't worry, there are plenty of holes
to duck under if you're running out of time.

Once you're across the hole, there will be a treasure chest right above you.
It contains a Family Secret Ointment. Now go up and you'll find a Cursed Mark
Vest. This does the same as it did in the last game - makes your stats go up a
lot, but seals your jutsu. This would be perfect for Choji since he doesn't
have a lot of jutsus and his stats are lacking, but sadly, the only one who
can equip it in your team now is Neji. I'll let you decide whether you want
to sacrifice his Byakugan and 8 Trigram jutsus for it.
Anyway, climb up to the rope.

Go to the right. You'll find the 4th Hokage Bromide[Smiley]. Go down the hole.

floor. Suddenly, kunai knives come at you from all directions, but Neji
blocks all of them with his 8 Trigrams Rotation jutsu. Good job, Neji!
In the lower right you'll find a Ninja Power CMP. Now go down and to
the left. You'll see a chest, the rope to the outside, and a leaf symbol.
You know what that leaf symbol means. Look inside the chest and you'll find
an Agility CMP. Save and then climb up the rope.

They've come to steal our mirrors, but we're not letting them go without a

Strategy: Jako's Wind Style: Devastation removes any buffs you put on your
party. Jako is really the only one who attacks, unless you start fighting
Rokkaku, which I DO NOT suggest unless you are level 35+. Jako's Fire Tiger
Explosion still packs a punch, but Rokkaku's Earth Style: Rock Danjo jutsu
did around 150-160 to my party. That was enough to put my party into the low
double digits. You could fight him if you put Neji and Lee in your party,
because they were at level 35 when they joined my party.
Rokkaku mostly stays in the 2nd and 3rd rows, making it harder to deal
adequate damage to him, but I think it's who you attack more. When I was
attacking Jako solely, Rokkaku didn't use the Rock Danjo jutsu, he may have
used the Fierce Dragon Palm once or twice, but he wasn't aggressive. But when
I started attacking Rokkaku solely, Jako used Tiger Explosion periodically on
me.
Either way, if you defeat Rokkaku or Jako first, Jako will use a Fire Tiger
Explosion that deals 999 to everyone.

Strategy: These guys aren't much of a threat anymore since you've got Kakashi

two. Lightning Blade does quite a bit too. Guy's Dynamic Entry and Primary
Lotus can deal out the damage as well.
Received Items: Repel Genjutsu Ninja Tag, Hidden Leaf Armor
Yea, you better run. Kakashi will give you Pakkun, the summoned pet I was
telling you earlier about. It reduces the number of enemies on the High Speed
Map. Don't bother using him in battle though, he's as useful as Gamatatsu. Not
only that, you can't summon him until you beat the game. Truly pathetic.
From here there are two chests at the bottom. The left one contains Shizune's
Charm, which is a one-time auto recovery from K.O. The right one contains
Super Brand Chakra Pills. Like it's counter-part, it restores everyone's
chakra fully.
Go to the far right and you'll get an explosive kunai. Go left to the next
screen.

For now, I'm going to revisit the places to get treasures we couldn't reach

the entire game.
Go down and there will be 2 chests. The left one contains a Strong Defense CMP
and the other will contain a Strong Attack CMP.

Gamatatsu to walk across the water. You'll find a scroll at the end that will

up the cliff on a cliff. It will have a Chubbies Rule! Ninja Tag.
Now go up and summon Gamatatsu to walk across the water. You'll find a
Professor Ninja Tag. Now this part infuriates me. Why in the world did they
make a cliff where you can climb up on it without Gamakitchi? Why couldn't
they just make all the cliffs this simple? Anyway, the chest on top of the
cliff will contain a Strong Chakra CMP.

in battle.
Go across the water and up to the next screen. It's the last High Speed Map!
This one might be a little tough because of the annoying tree foreground, so
I suggest using Pakkun if you're having trouble.

Once you reach the entrance, the group will split up. Gaara, Temari, and
Kankuro will go into the left side, and the rest will go to the right. Do you

right. On it contains the Sannin's Ninja Sword. Now go across the Magma with
Gamatatsu. You'll find the Master of Shadows Ninja Tag. Now go up and you'll
find some really hot rocks blocking your path. Nothing we can do here yet.

Strategy: Neji's Palm Rotation can be useful against Sasuke's Sharingan.
If you need to conserve HP, just have Neji fight with it on if Sasuke has
his Sharingan on (95% of the time he will too.) His Palm Rotation will also
counter any Taijutsu Sasuke does, such as the Lion's Barrage. But Sasuke's
Sharingan will copy your jutsu and use it on you, such as Lee's Leaf Whirlwind.
Usually a First Aid Jutsu(Level 1 All) will match itself with Sasuke's Fire
Ball Jutsu. It would be best not to put your teammates in a horizontal
formation, such as the Falcon Formation, or put them right behind another.
Sasuke's Dragon Flame Jutsu and especially *gasp* Chidori will rip both of
them apart. One dead teammate is better than two, right? Unluckily for us,
Chidori doesn't suck terribly like it does in the first one(Ehh, I suppose
it's more of a double-edged sword). He'll start using it after around 1600.
Suddenly, he will start laughing and transform into Curse Seal Level 2. He'll
use a Fire Ball Jutsu that deals 999 damage to everyone.
It seems we're in a bind here... Gaara, save us again! But wait, it looks like
Naruto is getting up! He transforms into One-tailed Ninetails Manifestation
form.

Strategy:I used Nine-tailed Fox Healing first for it's Regen Properties. You
can die here, so be careful, even though you have Guts on. Just use the
Ultimate Rasengan here, and use a Medical Pack if you need to. I usually
waited until my HP got low to use one, because I wanted to save the Super
Brand Chakra Pills.
Once you've dealt enough damage to Sasuke, you'll get this recreation
of the famous Dark Chidori/Ultimate Rasengan clash scene. Of course, you know
the outcome if you've watched the show/read the manga.
Once Naruto picks himself off the ground and pulls himself together, a
cutscene will occur.
After the cutscene, head back to the Village.

One recommendation before you leave: Buy some General Manuals. About 25-30
should be enough. Also, buy 4 Confusion Resistances, the Hyo if you
can afford it. One more thing, buy atleast one Immobility Resistance.
This will all come into play later.
Also, if you've gotten all the scrolls from the High Speed Maps, go talk t
the guy in the Hokage HQ, next to the Scrolls. He'll give you the Will of
Flame Ninja Tag. This will increase all resistances(I think it covers Status
Elements too),but it costs 100 NIN to equip.
Anyway, once you're done gaggling around, head to the roof of the Ninja
Academy. Take the left stairs and the stairs infront of you.

then to the SE cliff. You'll also need Gamakitchi to climb down walls.
Take the lower path before you go to the other side. You'll find Shino's last
weapon, Parasite: Four. On the other side of the wall, jump down the 1st
cliff you see. You'll find the Hokage Shuriken.
Don't jump down the next cliff just yet. Go right and you'll see a chest
behind some rocks. You'll get the Hyuga Wraps.
Below the 2nd cliff that you passed, you'll find the Leaf Symbol.
Examine the Yellow Orb.

examine the right one. We can use the scroll now so hop on it.
It'll take you to a Leaf Symbol and the Blue Orb.

Before stepping on the mat ahead. Cross the Poison Pond and get the Playing
Possum Ninja Tag. It allows Gaara to summon Shukaku, but it costs a whopping
200 NIN. Once you step on the mat, a scene will occur.
Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru are all trying to figure out how to open the
door when Shikamaru notices the number 30 written on the mat. The game gives
you two options here:
1. Do a 30 min one finger handstand
2. Get 30 people to stand here
Hmmm... I really think it's the first one. Lee will appear and say that in
order for the door to open, someone has to do a 30 minute one finger
handstand. Lee volunteers to do so.

Gensho: Those fools! What are they, stupid or something? How much more obvious
can we make this door puzzle?
Jako: Well, I thought we weren't supposed to let them in AT ALL.
Gensho: No, fool! The Villain guidebook here says that "in order to make an
excellent stronghold of evil, you must either put a weapon of your
weakness somewhere in the stronghold where the hero will find it, or
put various puzzle traps that eventually lead the hero to you. And I
couldn't find anything I was weak too, so...
But I thought I had something lying around somewhere...
Jako: What about those magazines with the pictures of cute girls on them?
Gensho: Yea, where are they?
Jako: Well, it kinda got cold in here, so I used my Fire Tiger Explosion on
them to keep warm.
Gensho: SAY WHAT!? YOU DID WHAT!?
-Back at the present location-
30 minutes later, without any mistake, the door does not open. Sorry, Lee.
So it looks like the only other option is to get 30 people to stand here.
Naruto, I believe this is your expertise.
I wish they had more of this in the game.
Beyond the door, there will be a cliff and also a poison pond on the cliff.
Across the pond is a scroll. Take the lower path once you're on the other
side. At the end of the path you'll find the Instant Byakugan Ninja Tag.
Take the upper path now. There will be a cliff, followed by a bridge,a
poison pond, and a cliff. There will be two scrolls, one will transport you
to the other. So it looks like we're stuck. But Akamaru decides to take one
of the scrolls to the other side of the wall.
In the hole, you'll see a treasure chest. it contains Food Pills. Akamaru
will eat these and transform into his powered-up red form. Go along the path
and you'll meet a boulder blocking the exit. Akamaru will tunnel through it.
Good job Akamaru! Now go up and under the bridge.

Cave of Great Evil 2
Armor: Jinsoku Greaves
Ninja Tags: Instant Shadow Clone
There's a lot of water here, so switch to Gamatatsu. Take the left path, and
you'll come across the Jinsoku Greaves. Ignore the path ahead and go back and
take the right path. Take the left at the fork, and get the Instant Shadow
Clone Ninja Tag. Now to the other path and use Gamakitchi to climb the cliff.
It's another mat, except it has 100 on it. Naruto, you know what to do. I
would suggest using the stylus here, as it can be a lot easier that with your
finger.
I wonder how Jako and Rokkaku got through here?

Once inside, head for the Leaf symbol. Prepare yourself, and remember to

Main and Alt party members for the fight. I suggest putting Temari in your
party and a healer such as Ino, Sakura, or Hinata as an Alt. It would be good
to have one in the active part as well. Once ready, head up.

using Temari's Cyclone Scythe Jutsu. Thankfully they're not too strong. Jako
still has Wind Style:Devastation and his signature Fire Tiger Explosion to use
against you.

Jako ties down the party with chakra rope. Things start to look grim, but
suddenly Gensho backstabs Jako! (Good Job Gensho!)
It seems as though this is the end for Naruto's friends, but Naruto suddenly
transforms into One-Tailed Manifestation Naruto and frees his friends. Better
watch out Gensho, he doesn't look very nice...

Strategy: Your HP and Chakra will automatically be restored at the beginning,
so there's no need to worry. Using the Hidden Leaf Shield jutsu would be a
good idea too. Here is a list of this guy's moves:
1. Evil Energy - This is where those General Manuals and Confusion Resistances
will come in handy. This is the Equivalent of the Marlboro's Bad Breath attack
if anyone's ever played Final Fantasy before. It will hit you with a group of
bad status effects all at once. The most dangerous of them all being
confusion. I would suggest the next turn you get to use a General Manual.
2. Convulsion of Nature - This is an attack that has a chance of hitting
everyone with Immobilization. If that happens, you're in some deep trouble.
Which is why I told you to buy some Immobilization Resistances, although you
can get by with only one. But even if you didn't, I'm going to be nice and
tell you a way to get around without any Immobilization resistances.
This may be a complicated explanation, but I'll try to keep it as simple as
possible. At first, it seems that you can move your party to a certain area
and not get hit with the attack. Well, he also has another version of the
attack that fills in the blank spots that the first version couldn't hit. For
example, this is the range of the two attacks:

So even if you moved your party to a blank spot, you would get hit with the
second version of the attack, therefore any where you virtually move, you will
get hit with the attack. So how can we get around this? Put only ONE person
outside the range.

Y Y- Spell will hit Teammate
X X O- Teammate outside Spell's range
With this method, we can ensure that atleast one person will not get hit with
the attack.
3. Evil Illusion: Fighting Spirit Madness Jutsu - You might've
gotten hit with this with the previous fight with Gensho. It's basically
the same attack, except it has two versions like the Convulsion of Nature
attack.
4. Double Destruction Mouth - Steals some of your HP and Chakra
5. Dance of Nothingness - Strips buffs
Evil Energy is the attack you should be most aware of. Use the Summon Toad
Scroll if you still have it. Make sure your Alt is always alive, incase 2
or more teammates die. If you have a healer as an Alt, you can get back up on
your feet a lot quicker.
Pace yourself, because it can be a long fight. You can always make the fight
easier by leveling up.

Hokage's HQ
So Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru will all be around Tsunade, Naruto telling
her how easy the mission was. Tsunade will offer you to take along a member
of Anbu with you. This represents you in Online Matches. You can either choose
a Male or Female Anbu. The only difference that I've heard of is that the
Female Anbu is more resistant to Sexy status effect than the Male Anbu.
Logical.
It would be a good idea to head to the Leaf Symbol and save. You don't want to
fight the Final Bosses again, do you? Let's see if we can go get some more
characters!

Well, there's movies we can watch. Oh boy! I never would've thought that the
developers could have squeezed in the first 3 Naruto movies in this tiny DS
cart. So head over to the Movie theatre(Right across from Kakashi's), and they
even have a Make-Out Paradise movie we can watch! Refer to the tickets section
to see where to get the tickets.
Choose which movie you want to see, pick 4 people(Not sure what's the point
of that), and enjoy the show!
Wait, That's IT!?!? The characters you pick make comments ABOUT the movie?
Who's the bright guy who thought that up? Who the hell wants to see characters
make comments about the movie instead of seeing the actual movie? I don't pay
$8.50 just so I can hear other people talk when I'm trying to listen to the
movie, so why should this be any different? This is some bull. This would be
considered false advertising.
None of the character's comments change for any of the movies either,creative
much? If you look at the poster boards in the lobby, you'll recognize the
first movie, Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, but the other two are about as
authentic as cheap Hong Kong bootlegs. I hope that the other things to do
aren't cheap knock-offs like this. (I also hope you enjoyed the satirical
rant.)

The Moya Bros. are a random encounter, and you can fight them as many times
as you want. You need to be at a high level to beat them, probably atleast 60+
The problem is their stats. They can hit hard and fast, decimating your party
before you can get a turn. If you don't feel up to leveling, you can use the
other characters you get from the Summoning Sheet. Though they may be strong,
they probably only have less than 1000 HP each. They give out a lot more
experience than the final boss too, so this may be a good place to level to 99
if you wanted to.
Oh, BTW, one more little thing I have to explain: the Ultimate Mission!

ii. The Ultimate Mission! [ULTM]

Like Tsunade says, this is where the true mission begins: WI-FI and Wireless
battles. Let's head over to the place to go.

Selection Grounds are up ahead.

Jonin from the village will be there to tell you some rules of the Wi-Fi and
Wireless Battles:
There are some jutsus you cannot use. These include Toad Healing Oil, Heal
Jutsus Level 4 Shadow Sinking Jutsu, and Mobility Heals.
You also cannot use your own items. You are given a set of items that you
can use, although it's not very much.
There are two types of rules in Wi-Fi: Fixed Level Rules and Fixed Rules. In
the former, all stats aside from NIN are set to a fixed number that correlate
to the fixed level they post.
You have a maximum of 30 seconds to input your commands, otherwise you'll
lose your turn.
Chakra builds work differently in Wireless/Wi-Fi battles. If the opponent is
casting a chakra build jutsu, you have the chance to lower or even nullify the
effect by rubbing the touch screen the appropriate way.
Enough of the rules, let's survey around a bit. I spy 3 treasure chests!
The first one should be the most obvious, as it's out in the open, next to a
machine. It contains Strong Ninja Power CMP. the Next one is in the
upper-right corner, near the leaf symbol. It also has Strong Ninja Power CMP.
The last one is cleverly hidden in the trees. Go straight down from the leaf
symbol, around the bush. It contains Strong Defense CMP.
I'll explain how to get into the Wireless Battle. Talk to Anko and you'll see
a menu that consists of a Battle, and 2 trade options. The first one allows
you to trade Ninja Info Cards/Regional Prints. The second one trades Ninja
Tags.
There are two guys beside Anko. The one on the left wants Regional Prints.
Once you've gotten a certain number, he'll give you an item. The first item
you'll get is Sasuke's Ninja Info card for 1 Regional print(Ill explain what
these are in a bit.) The guy on the right wants Wi-Fi points. You'll get
5 points if you win a match, only one if you lose a match in Wi-fi.
All this talk about Wi-Fi probably makes you excited. The machine to the left
of Anko is where you go to play Wi-Fi matches. You must have 3 things in
order to play Wi-Fi:
1. Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, or a Good Wireless Router.
2. You must claim a Village.
3. You must receive a friend code.
The first one can be a little tricky. I believe Nintendo stopped making the
USB Connectors a while ago, so it would probably be best if you got a Wireless
Router. The game can help you set up a Wi-FI connection using the option on
the Title Screen Menu.
To claim a village, go to the menu, and go to User. Select Battle Settings
and go to Village Settings. Select the state you live in and you're done.
To receive a friend code you'll have to connect to Wi-Fi and be assigned a
friend code. This should only take a few seconds to do.
Now you're ready to go! Have fun with the online battles!
Sometimes you'll run into people who like to disconnect when they're losing
when you're in a battle. This is a cowardly act to keep their "straight" record
clean. Don't be a wuss. Be an honorable man. Take the loss, because they
deserve the 5 points. Who cares about wins and losses anyway; it's a game
that's meant to be fun.

G. Battle Ranks [BTRN]
After a battle you may notice that you get a rank. This determines how fast
you end a battle. Here's how to get the ranks:
Genin: 6+ Turns
Chunin: 2-5 Turns
Jonin: 1 Turn
It's a bit different when you're in Kumite Mode. I'm not quite sure what
determines your rank. It would be impossible by normal means to kill something
in one turn, usually.

X. Kumite Dojo [KUMD]
Even though the mirrors allowed you to fight major bosses from the series,
they still left out a few key battles, and even some they decided to make up.
Here in the Kumite Dojo, you can still fight the enemies from the series in
here.
There are 3 modes of Kumite:
1. Regular Kumite
Regular Battle against an enemy. You can take anyone you want in here.
2. Limited Kumite
This pits one person of your team against an enemy. Usually, they are
One-on-One fights. You cannot choose which team member to use.
3. Survival Kumite
Similar to a Survival mode in a fighting game. See how long you can last!
The longer you last, the better the prize will be.
