~Part 1-- Introduction~

Well this is my first guide ever on GameFAQS. It should cover most everything
you need to know about my favorite character Spire. Well I shouldn't be the
one wasting your time with an introduction. After all you came here to learn
about Spire. If you have and question, comments, concerens, or sugestions
contact me at JSDaniel14(at)aol.com. Please include the word Spire in the topic
title.

~Part 2-- About Spire~

Spire, like I said, is my favorite character. He has some unique abilities
(I'll get into that later) and IMO is one of the coolest looking. I feel
that Spire is under-used and that he is truly one of the most useful. His
affinity weapon is the Magmaul but that is discussed in the next chapter. He
also has immunity to lava making Alinos Gateway the perfect stage to abuse.

~Part 3-- About the Magmaul~

Spire's affinity weapon packs a punch. There are only 2 downfalls to it. It
has an arc and you can hurt yourself with it. Training with the Magmaul can
help you over come both these obstacles. The part of the Magmaul that makes
it kick ass is that when fully charged it will burn. When uncharged the
shots will bounce around on the ground for a short time prefect for alternate
form spammers. Note to self: Don't burn yourself with the charged Magmaul

~Part 4-- Dialanche~

Dialanche is Spire's alternate form. It has the ability to climb up walls and
its attack can do between 8 and 64 damage. Few people know that the Dialanche
can attack through walls. When trying to get up a wall unmorph and either try
to walk up or jump.

~Part 5-- Damage Chart~

Damage Specs: Body Shot/Head Shot/Shot's per x seconds/Charge Rate
Magmaul: 032 xxx 2 per 1.15 seconds 1.8 seconds for charge,
2 for Burninator
Burninator: 048+19 xxx 1 per 2 seconds
Dialanche: 008-064 xxx 8 attacks possible

~Part 6-- Strategies~

This section will be set up by level.

Combat Hall: Dialanche can easily get to all health powerups the hallway on
the side is great for alt abuse and other than that use the magmaul.

Data Shrine: Use Dialanche in the morph ball slots

Processor core: Guard the 100 health grab the Double Damage power up and let
loose with the magmaul. The hallways on the side are great with Dialanche

High Ground: Dialanche is a quick and easy way to get to the top and snipe
with the nearby imperialist. Use the Double Damage power up with the magmaul
or chase the opponents with Dialanche.

Ice hive: There is a tunnel sticking out of the wall above a jump pad. Using
Dialanche you can get on top of it. Be the first to get death alt and run
wild.

Alinos Perch: There are some platforms sticking out of the wall and they go
almost as high as the big rock in the middle of the stage. The only way I
know how to get up there is with Dialanche. Use the magmaul or imperialist
once you get up there.

Sic Transit: When in the center room if you look at the wall you can see a
snow covered crack. Get up there and attack the grounds enemies.

Transfer Lock: There is a ledge going all around the stage. Use Dialanche
to get up there and let loose the magmaul.

Sanctorus: No info yet

Compression Chamber: grab the Double Damage power up and use the magmaul
or Dialanche

Incubation Vault: There is a possible sniping spot above the health on the
orange platform. Dialanche is a quick way to get the magmaul.

Subterranean: No info yet

Outer reach: Just run around with the Magmaul

Harvester: I hate this level. Just grab the Magmaul and go crazy. Beware
Snipers or become one yourself. There are 2 cloaks in this level at the top.

Weapons complex: In the big room with the Imperialist use Dialanche to go
to the area by the ceiling and have fun.

Council Chamber: Same as Alinos Perch except for some tunnels which Dialanche
or the magmaul could use.

Elder Passage: Same as High Ground

Fuel Stack: Dont use the light thing as a way to travel.

Fault Line: No info yet

Stasis Bunker: for stasis bunker: Immediately head for the second level and
grab the Imperialist (it is where the ammo upgrade was in story mode) and drop
down to the lower level and begin sniping for headshots through the wall. (to
prevent them from seeing you) if someone approaches you, let loose on the
magmal or use Dialanche to get the kill - Mr_Kanbei

Head Shot: Get the Death alt and kill stuff.

Celestial Gateway: No info yet

Alinos Gateway: This place is heaven for Spire. There is a glitch in this
level that will make people mad but Im not going to discus it. Use the lava
for your advantage.

VDO Gateway: No info yet

Arcterra Gateway: No info yet

Oubliette: Get the Omega cannon and dont blow yourself up.

Spire has a advantage over anyone else in this level, he can climb
walls, use this to run away on the bottom of the stage, staying near the walls
to increase or decease altitude. another good defense is to stay as close as
possible to the person with the omega cannon, if he shoots you the score evens
out because of the splash damage you caused him. (not applicable in a 3-4
player match, he would get more kills than one off setting his own self-D)
- Mr_Kanbei

~ Part 7-- Spire vs. ___~

1. Spire's Natural Prey: Trace, Noxus, Samus
2. Spire's Natural Enemies: Kanden, Sylux, Samus
3. Compatible Stages: Medium and Large. Alinos Gateway is your best bet.
4. Compatible Modes: Battle (duh), Defender (the Dialanche can push people out
of the ring.), Prime Hunter (get one kill, and you completely eliminate Spire's
one weakness of speed. You get the first kill, you get all the kills)

Tips for Samus

She is the average hunter. She is weak to similar forms, so when she's in
Biped, you should use your Biped to fight her as well, as your alt. form may
not be as effective as desired. If you start blasting her, she'll probably turn
into morph ball, where she has the advantage, with her boosting capabilities
and her bombs. Enter your alt. form and get as close as you can, so the bombs
have less chance of hitting, and then use your attack back on her. She's easy
to score headshots on, as you can easily tell where her head is compared to
the rest of her body.

Tips for Sylux

The Shock Coil is Sylux's best friend. Get to it before he can, if you're in a
small level. If you're in a large level, you're bound to have both affinity
pick-ups and general pick-ups, so don't even bother trying to prevent him from
getting it, he's going to. To retaliate, go into alt. form, and don't let him
get away. If you get up in him, he's doomed. Even if he activates his alt.
form to fight back, just pound him and run, pound and run. Don't get anywhere
close to his mines, either. They deal damage. If he runs in his alt. form, then
simply pull out your strongest weapon and shoot in his general direction,
you're bound to hit sooner or later, eh?

Tips for Noxus

The Affinity-Super-Kill of Noxus' is by far the most deadly. Be sure to avoid
close range at all costs. His alt. form is great for close range, as is his
affinity weapon. Noxus' head is a fair size, so he's not particularly weak to
sniping, but it's still fun to do. The faster/powerful weapons can be Noxus'
greatest peril. Missiles are nice, they move really quickly and deal a painful
blow. The Volt Driver is handy, as is the Magmaul. You may be wondering why the
Magmaul was mentioned even though it serves little purpose in Wifi as Noxus has
no weakness to it. It's for the wide open areas, or extremely tight area's you
may find yourself in when fighting Noxus. In tight areas, the Magmaul has
almost the same ricocheting feature the Judicator has. In wide open area's, you
can move and shoot, and deal a lot of damage to the Hunter. Unfortunately, the
hunter is fast enough to be able to run towards you and you can get frozen,
which can kill you if you aren't stocked on health. When fighting a high level
Noxus user, it could take everything you've learned to take him down. However,
Noxus is also one of the easiest hunters to be "n00bified", where all the foe
does is concentrate on freezing you. Judge your opponent to figure out what to
be ready for.

Tips for Weavel

CURSE THAT TURRET! That's what you're thinking, right? The Weavel user is
thinking the same. That turret, if it has more health then the upper part of
Weavel, can kill. You see, since it does damage to both of them by fighting the
turret, load the Shock Coil, and strafe in a circle. If the turret has more hp
then Weavel, then Weavel will die before you finish killing the turret but the
turret will go too). Another nice way to kill the silly fella, is sniping. I
know you're thinking anyone can be killed by sniping easily, but look at that
head! It's huge! It makes for a nice target when he's in Biped form, eh? Yeah,
it does. If neither of these tactics work for you, then a head on assault may
be the only way. Load up a powerful weapon, because Weavel can't take it for
long. Missiles work well, as they also cause splash damage. Chances are, in a
head on assault, the Weavel will go into alt. form. What you do then, is aim
for the upper part of his body, while it's health is halved. The powerbeam,
missiles, Magmaul, BattleHammer, and Volt Driver are all excellent choices for
fighting the upper half. The Judicator, Shock Coil, and Imperialist are nice
choices for his lower half. Even if you're opponent doesn't seem like his
health is low, it probably is. The HalfTurret seems like an infinite health
supplied alt. form, but it's really all just an illusion. They could be scared
to death of dieing, and are just trying to get close to you before running
away for health. One last thing to remember, is that staying calm when
fighting Weavel is necessary, but getting overconfident of your abilities can
screw you over as well.

Tips for Kanden

Wormers aren't as hard to take care of as you think. They're the most deadly of
all of the alt. "abusers (if you must)", but they all have one weakness. Annoy
to Snipe, is one of the best techniques. It's not common, but it's a great way
to score that one kill you need to get the match out of a tie. When they're
trying to worm you, just jump to a higher spot that's inaccessible out of Biped
form, and blast away with the power beam. If they aren't stupid, they'll try
and get out of Alt. form to shoot you back. Lock and load, it's time to sneak
attack the fool. Zoom in, let him shoot you a bit if you must, then OHKO him.
Chances are, he won't fall for it again, but it's a great technique. You can
also try the common, Alt. Back tech. It's just as easy as it sounds. Load alt.
up, and get in their face. This technique is best used with Sylux, or Spire.
Sylux can summon his Bermuda Triangle attack, or Spire can keep close and do
about a lot of damage per attack. If you fight a Kanden thats using Kanden to
really use Kanden, however, chances are he'll be better then the wormer. Beware
the Volt Driver. If the stage is too small to avoid it, keep right in his face
when you hear it charging, so he'll shoot himself too. Headshots are nice too.
His head is really small, but easy to distinguish from the rest of his body.
The Imperialist works wonders in close range on him too, since he has a large
chest, which is easy to shoot, unzoomed. Missiles are an ally against Kanden
too. Although he's fast, missiles are too, and if you're Samus, they also have
the nice homing function. Avoid medium to close range combat with Kanden,
since he excels in those areas. Close range is much easier to deal with, but it
also runs the risk of annihilation by high speed and strength Stinglarva.
Medium range he's less effective with the Stinglarva, but his Volt Driver can
make for a nasty party gift.

Tips for Trace

0mG 1 r teh snip0rz you!!1 Phear meh headshots of deathzz!!11one Easy to
predict, right? A good Trace user will let you think they're gonna snipe you
from the start, but in all reality, they're not. Your opponent is probably going
to try to turn invisible, so watch your radar, and be sure to find a shock coil.
The shock coil can unveil the hidden Trace right from the shadows, and they're
probably going to dash away once discovered. The question is, do you give chase,
or do you find a different tactic? 4 things should affect your decision. How big
is the stage? Where can your opponent get to? Where can you get to? What's your
opponents fighting style? For starters, if the stage is small, chase them, if
it's large, going a different way might be better. Secondly, if your opponent
can get to high up places for sniping, it depends on if you want to snipe back
(if possible) or if you want to try to prevent the sniping. 3rd, if you can get
to a safe haven with some powerups and a small shield or something to block the
Imperialist, go into alt. form and head there, rather than chasing them. Lastly,
if your opponent likes sniping, then running may be better. If they like being
up close, though, then you're gonna want to chase 'em down. If you need to
chase them, then load up either the power beam, or the BattleHammer. They both
shoot quickly, which you need, but the speed and power of them are affected by
your choice. The Power Beam might be the best choice, so you should probably go
with that. When they lunge, jump to the side, and do a 360, then blast them as
they wait for you to land and lunge again. Repeat. But, if you need to turn
tail, then before you go anywhere, move as an alt. form beast and move to the
closest Imperialist pickup, then run for your safe haven. Grab pickups, and
snipe back at your foe. If you can't see each other, then make yourself scarce
and avoid detection while trying to sneak up on your opponents firing position.
Have fun!

Tips for Spire

Im going to leave this blank for now. After all who wants to know how to be
killed?

~Part 8-- Tips and Tricks~

Use the Dialanche to find sniping spots.

When you morph you jump a bit so low gravity areas might mess you up.

Spires head is tiny making it hard for people to get head-shots

Pick levels other than alinos, you might be surprised

In Alinos Gateway is your best bet set them on fire and knock them into lava
with the Dialanche and there is a pillar next to the Imperialist that is a
perfect sniper nest

The magmaul, imperialist, and judicator are the trinity of ownage weapons for
Spire

The magmaul(affinity weapon) is deadly once you can adjust to the arc for a few
reasons.
1. extra damage with spire(they get burned...literally)
2. good damage on charge to begin with
3. nobody actually expects you to hit them with it because of the arc.

If you know an enemy is hiding around a corner, fire a Magmaul shot in there
at an angle so that it bounces in and hits them.

Dialanche is like a 'enemy filter' if people are close to you. Two or three
good, quick hits kill your enemies quickly.

~Part 9-- Frequently Ask Questions~

What is the Spire Glitch?

If you want to know this than submit a hint, tip or strategy to
JSDaniel14(at)aol.com. If I use the tip in this FAQ I'll email you the glitch.
Now people will hate me. XD

Why do you like sniping?

'Cause its fun.

Trace is a better sniper than Spire.

Riiight. So you can climb walls to? Get on top of my Ice Hive sniping spot and
I'll believe you.

Whats your favorite stage?

Random...
