Hello, and thank you for looking at my Abilities FAQ.  This is my second FAQ
typed for GameFAQs and I hope it becomes very informative.
Anyways, here's the rundown on Abilities.  In MegaMan Star Force 2, unlike in
the previous game, you can equip abilities that power you up.  It uses your
Link Power, which is a number that increases as your brotherly bond between
your in-game Brothers and Wi-Fi Brothers increases.  Abilities come with a
number that determines how much Link Power it consumes.  So if you have 200
Link Power, and the ability you want to equip says 170, then you only have 30
points of Link Power to use.
Abilities can be found by resucing Mr. Hertzes in battle or in Green Mystery
Waves.  Once you've picked them up, you can go to the Omega-Xis menu and
select "Equip Abilities".  There, you have a list of all the abilities you've
picked up, and on the right, the abilities you have equipped.

This will be the bulk of the guide.  I will list all abilities in the
game and what they do.  The format will be [name], [link power required],
[description], and [locations].

As for locations.  There are two ways, and both will be listed.  One way that
you may obtain new Abilities is by rescuing a Mr. Hertz in battle.  On some
occasions, when you battle viruses,(and only on mainstream wave roads)
a Mr. Hertz will be caught in the middle of the battle (usually in the
front corner) asking for help.  If you delete all the viruses without causing
harm to the Mr. Hertz, you will get a Rescue Bonus in the results. Abilities
obtained vary by area.  Also you may find HP+50 /60 in Grizzly Peak, but
HP+50 /70 in the same area.

Sometimes you may get abilities from Green Mystery Waves.  Instead of
finding Zennys or a BattleCard, you get an Ability.  These tend to be
different from the ones you get by rescuing Mr. Hertzes, so don't neglect
Green Mystery Waves.  In some areas, you may find Blue Mystery Waves that
give you rare power ups.  These are one time only, so they're usually
very valuable.

      Frequently Asked Questions|

There's alwasy some questions being asked regarding abilities.  I will
answer the ones I've heard, or the ones I've come up with.  If you
have a good question that needs an answer, it may get posted here,
soon.  Please look through this too see if any questions you may
have are answered here.

Q: Where can I rescue Mr. Hertezs in battle?
A: Mostly on ER Wave Roads in major areas.  For example, Echo Ridge,
	Mess Village, Wilshire Hills.  Get it?  And not in ESes;
	areas inside other objects.

Q: Can I stack buster abilities like "Charge Wood" and "Charge Ice"?
A: The answer is no.  Only one panel-creating ability can be put on at
	once.  If you try, you will be asked to remove the previous one.
	You can, however, have a panel-creating ability, and, say,
	Charge V on at the same time.  Doing so will expand the effect
	of created panels.  You also can't stack abilities that have a
	similar effect, like First Barrier and First Aura.

Q: What happens if I don't save the Mr. Hertz during battle?
A: Simple, you don't get a reward.  Which is quite a shame considering
	how rare they are.  Remember that to auto-targetting attacks, they
	count as an enemy.  So careful when you use Battle Cards like
	Radar Missle, Mummy Hand, and Cancer Bubble.  On some rare occasions,
	the Mr. Hertz will appear in a dangerous place, like in the middle
	of the enemy's side.  It shouldn't be too hard to rescue the Mr. Hertz
	every now and then once you get the hang of it.

Q: How come I'm not getting abilities from Green Mystery Waves?
A: These tend to be rarer than getting Cards or Zennys.  Maybe 1 time
	out of 3 would be the probability, but wither way, be patient with
	these.  You may need to Pulse In a few times before you get these.

Q: Why isn't Charge V, Charge Cross, or Charge Spread working?
A: Chances are you're in your Tribe On form.  These abilities do not
	affect your charged buster when your are transformed.  Not only
	because it wouldn't make sense, but because it would be cheap.
	For example, you can't be Ninja and expect to launch a V-shape
	of shurikens.  These will only apply to regular MegaMan's
	buster attack.

Q: Where do I get Humor Word?
A: You don't.  This ability isn't even obtainable by normal means.
	The only way to get it is by cheats, and it doens't do anything.
