*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Now, Let the Guide Begin~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
[1.01] Introduction

This is my 54th guide, well, technically, 55th, but I made this file first
and worked on it second. Anyway, this is a guide for the DS game of Knights of
the Nightmare, and it was a toss up between writing for this game, Knights of
the Nightmare, or Devil's Survivor. Given that a friend of mine is working on
it, I decided to take this one instead. Anyway, let us start.

Vinheim, if you are reading this, yeah, it was your fault.

[1.02] Version History

Version 0.0 [30/8/09]
Started on Guide. WooHoo. I currently have 4 active projects. This is like a
game of multitasking. Completed Scene 1 and a bit of appendix work.

*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
[2.01] Scene 1 - The Awakening of the Chosen

Now, for the sake of all that is holy, I have presumed that you have have
played with the tutorial, and are familar with the control scheme. Because I
will not accept quiestions just because you are too lazy to play around with
the tutorial, and might I add, for a game, this is a very good tutorial, most
games leave you to figure it out yourself.

"A great many generations have passed since the Royal Family of the castle of
 Aventhelm brought order to the land.

 But even within the light, the time comes when the shadows draw close.

 A time where old pledges are forgotten, when people lose sight of their
 paths, left only to chase their empty hopes and dreams... A conflicted age,
 mixed with both Law and Chaos.

 In times of strife there was a man feared and known across the nations of the
 world, rivaled by none, leader of the nation of Gleivoir and known as the
 Lion Heart King.

 But not even he could see the coming change, as if a vortex had opened,
 swallowing everything..."

                                        Scene 01 - The Awakening of the Chosen

                                                         Castle - Front Garden

A conversation breaks out between a one-eyed knight and a timid priestess.
They seem to be searching for someone, perhaps it was the fair Armoured Maiden
from the start? Time will tell.

                                                               Northeast Valde

It looks like our mystery maiden has disappeared...

                                                          The Abandoned Church

Hmmm, it looks like something is approaching, it looks like we need to do
something.

"A dilapidated church lies lonely and forgotten in the depths of the
 ancient forest of Valde. The ravages of time are apparaent, and what little
 remains show that church was built long ago.."

It looks like the monsters are getting hungry. And for this, it looks like we
need to get ready to fight. You are in control of a single knight, and you
are fighting a single green blob and ash wraith. Looks like the party is
getting started.

Since we only have a warrior, let us equip what we have in stock that we
could use, and that means the Slasher and the Frozen Axe. Take one of each
and let us start this battle.

Victory Conditions - Defeat enemies and fill 1 line of KILL markers within
                     6 turns.

Lets do this. Now, with the tutorial behind you, you should know how to
play around and obtain the items between the candlesticks and the chest,
just power up enough items and use them to break the obstacles, and get
the goodies inside.

The enemies shouldn't be too hard, nothing you can't handle, if you have
played with the tutorial.

What you really want is inside the Chest. You want the Knitted Scarf,
which will allow you to recruit Johann for your army. Break that chest and
just it on the tactics screen to recruit him.

Another key items is the Letter Opener. You will need that to recruit another
person, Jorgen, in Scene 4. A further key item, the Favourite Jug, is needed
to recruit Bonn in Scene 2, the next scene. Finally, in the last candlestick,
you will get the Wedding Ring, which is needed to recruit Moira in Scene 2.
Smash those candlesticks now!

Your best bet is to use the Frozen Axe and the Chaos setting to get rid of
the candlesticks and the chests. From then on, kill enough enemies to get
the kill counter lined up and proceed to the next scene.

                                                            The Past Revisited
Midnight, one day before the attack on Regnieberg

"There were not many who could sense the building corruption, the silent
 movement of vileness, and its all-to-sudden appearance.

 A few did notice, but the natural inhabitants of this land had little
 defence against the darkness and were cast into the void.

Watch the interesting cutscene, save, and move onto the next screen, the
setup screen. Make sure that you level up Johann up to recover a bit of the
lost vitality that you would have suffered.

                                                               Northeast Valde

"At this time, Asgard, the Underworld and the human world were slowly
 approaching chaos.

 The barriers between them were dissolving due to the selfish whims of
 certain souls.

 As if the sick desires of a few could control all the worlds...

 For even a large riverbank can crumble from the holes dug by ants.

 Who could predict it could decline to the point that none could turn a blind
 eye?

And how the start of the second scene.

*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
[2.02] Scene 2 - Long Road to Dawn

                                                             Flanier's Rampart

It looks like a bunch of knights are missing something, a vessel perhaps?

"This area of the Valde Forest is so heavily overgrown that the sun rarely
 reaches the forest floor. Few people dared to tread here, and all manner of
 plants and animals flourish."

Looks similar to first scene, you have to fight a few, this time, stronger
forest monsters to move on. It really does suck being a wisp, doesn't it?

Victory Conditions - Defeat enemies and fill 1 line of KILL markets within 7
                     turns.

Okay, so we have Moira and Bonn here, so make sure that you have the Wedding
Ring and the Favourite Jug from the previous screen here, ready to recruit
them for your cause. I suggest you bring a Frozen Axe for Bonn, since he is
a warrior and you need to break some items, and a Searing Edge for Moira.

After you recruit both the knights, you will want to take out the obstacles
and unlock them for their goodies. The Box should get your the Indigo
Ocarina. After the second turn, which your axe to the Slasher for your Warrior
and the Beast Fang for your Hermit.

You should, after destroying all the items, including the signpost and the
grassland, get an additional leather wallet and slim darts as well. These are
needed in the next scene. Keep fighting more and more monsters until you
can get the kill counter up to filled.

Later, around turn 5, the Box will respawn back to normal and you will need
to break it again, as it contains a Bauble, used to recruit someone in Scene
4. Keep holding on until you reach that point, and then we finish this
scene.

                                                            The Past Revisited
The night before the fall of the western tower

"It was still autumn and the castle had not yet faced disaster.

 The king of the castle wished for a blood tie to end the feud between the
 Tiamats and humans.

 Eventually, an agreement was reached, and everyone felt a long awaited sense
 of peace.

 Everyone, but for a few individuals.

                                                               Northeast Valde

An interesting conversation between two knights, it seems that the King is
sending in reinforcements to the forest.

And that wraps up the second scene.

[A.01] Darkness Items

Seeing this should be the first of the appendices, there isn't much that you
need to learn in order to read this appendix, you just need to understand the
stuff in the game, and the rest should pop into mind.

The only thing to note is the effect of the skill. C will mean where the
character dishing out the attack is, whilst a X is the tiles that are hit.
Note that all the X's will be in front of the character, unless said
otherwise.

won't read crap like "Hw Tis in Gme" because it is lazy and inconsiderate. But
that doesn't mean you send me a business letter detailing what information you
want to know either.

Finally, if you see that there is something wrong in this FAQ, or something
that you think should be included in it, please send it in, the worse you can
do is to have it rejected, but if I think it is a good addition, I'll add it
with the next update as well as give you credit for the addition. Corrections
are always welcome.

I will also NOT RESPOND to the following:

 * Phishing Sites
 * Attempted Scams
 * Mass Spamming
 * Forward Messages
 * Advertising
 * Technical Issues
 * Illegal Activities
 * Unrelated Emails to the Game
 * Emails about Another Game

All problems with technical issues to do with the gameplay such as bugs and
glitches should be sent to the developer or publisher, or look for fixes or
ways to avoid it. All technical issues with hardware should be sent to the
manufacturer of the piece of hardware in question.

The secret email address is:

hillsdragon13 [at] [ho.tm.ail] [dot] [co.m]

Now, the legend:

[at]        = @
[ho.tm.ail] = Remove the .'s
[dot]       = .
[co.m]      = Remove the .'s

If you feel generous, you can send money via Paypal to that address. It is
completely optional, but I'm curious to see how much I can milk, I mean make
out of this. All donations are appreciated, seeing I have to pay for the
game this guide is for, and that does cost money, more since I'm faced with
the outrageous prices found in Australia.

It may be a pain in the ass, but most smart people could figure out the real
email address. The problem is that people would normally Ctrl+F to find the
email address without reading the relevant guidelines, as well spamming sites
which always find their way to my inbox.

Also, do not add me to your MSN, Yahoo or any other instant messaging system
because you will be blocked and deleted permanently. Also, I will not accept
invites to be your Facebook friend, or join any other social networking site
because all invites will be rejected.

The credits section is where all the credits for the guides go. Anyone or
anything that remotely helped out with this guide goes here, and that goes

You know, your name could be on this list as well.

CJayC, The Creator of GameFAQs, thanks for all the memories

You, no point of writing if no one is reading
Atlus for the distribution of the game
St!ng for developing the game

Me, for a shameless piece of self promotion

[C] Webmaster Information

This is where all the sites that this guide can appear on are listed. If the
site name is not on this list, that means that either they are accepted by
me but not listed, due to logistical reasons (this is the same copyright
section as all the other guides, and no point listing a Civ 4 site on a Sims
game), or they are not allowed outright.

Anyway, POINT OUT ALL SITES NOT LISTED HERE. It will be up to me what site is
allowed or disallowed.

www.GameFAQs.com <Master Copy>
www.NeoSeeker.com
www.SuperCheats.com

NeoSeeker and SuperCheats will have the guides a full day after it appears on
GameFAQs. This is because those two sites grab any new update from me from
GameFAQs itself, so if you are itching for the newest version, please check
www.GameFAQs.com first.

It will NEVER BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR ON

www.cheatcc.com

Why? Because they stole some of my works before, and I will not forget that.
No amount of goodwill will be able to repair what you have done.
