Acquiring Renji + Evolving Renji Renji is found in Mission 4 of the Bleach World which is within the J-BlackHole ======================================= MISSION 4 1. KO all opponents with a pre-made deck Unlock: Kon 2. Clear within 60 seconds 3. Clear within 40 seconds 4. KO with at least 1 Special Attack Unlock: Yoruichi 5. KO with at least 2 Special Attacks Unlock: Renji SP: KO all opponents within 30 seconds Unlock: Papillon (Busou Renkin) ======================================= The Premade Deck consists of a Renji 4-Koma, Ichigo 5-Koma and a few support komas. You'll be using Renji. (Ichigo is pretty bad) You can just spam Up + X which will give you multiple quick kills, but you might ring out them (Which does not count as KOing with a special attack) If you really want to, lure them down to the bottom section of the arena. The sides have unbreakable walls which will be perfect in this situation. KO two characters (dosen't matter who) with Up+X and the rest with anything else and you'll get Renji. ============== Evolving Renji ============== Renjis chart looks like this: -- [S2]- [S3] | [H]---[B4]-[B5]-[B6] Costs: Support 2: 30 Red,20 green and 5 white Support 3: 80 Red, 20 Green and 10 white Battle 4: 160 Red, 40 Green and 10 white *Best Backup Character* Battle 5: 150 Red, 250 Green and 20 White *Cheapest X attack* Battle 6: 400 Red, 200 Green and 30 White *Slowest attacks but Good Damage* OVERALL COST: 720 Reds, 530 Green and 75 White =========================================================================== ===================== 2. Help and Support Koma ===================== Hurrah! KOMA! DAMAGE! We've finally got to the good bits. This stuff isn't bad at all but compared to the battle koma, its nothing! Help Koma --------- Gain SP when attacking with or blocking a Battle Character. ============= Support Koma 1 -------------- Shou Kenga ------------- Shape: [][] -------------- Renji plunges his sword into the ground and loads of mini swords come out underneath your opponent. Damage: To Knowledge: 36 Damage To Everything else: 24 Damage Would be a great attack support koma except that if your opponent moves after he's plunged his sword into the ground, the attack will be at the place he was when Renji started the attack. =============== Support Koma 2 ------------- Kogasetsukou ------------- Shape: [][][] ------------- Renji does his 5 Koma Up-X attack (Plunges sword into ground and 6 bits of his sword come out from the sides of your opponent and hit him) except that you can actually choose which opponent to target. Damage: To Knowledge: 54 damage (If they all hit) To everything else:36 damage (if they all hit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- =============== 3. Basic Attacks =============== B, B + Left/Right, B in Midair and B+Up are slashes with his sword. They all do 13 damage to Knowledge and 9 to everything else. Down+B = Aura bursts out from around Renji. Switches the opponents battle character and does 13 damage to Knowlage and 9 damage to everything else. Y = Renji slashes with his sword. Tap Y rapidly for more slashes. It does 27 damage to Knowledge and 18 to everything else (With max amount of slashes) Y + Left or Right + Y Midair = Renji sword expands forwards. Y Midair is the same except its expands diagonally. It does 27 damage to Knowledge and 18 to everything else. Y + Up= Renji spins his sword in the air. Tap Y rapidly for Renji to spin longer. 33 damage to knowledge and 22 Damage to everything else. (With max time of spinning) Y + Down = Renji jumps at opponent and slashes them if he touches them. Can break Guard. It does 27 damage to Knowledge and 18 to everything else. Select= Renji tightens his headband. Gains a small amount of SP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ================== 4. Battle Koma Outline ================== Yup, we can ACTUALLY PLAY AS RENJI! Awsome eh? As well as being in the Top Tier, Renji packs along some passive effects. 1. He can air dash. 2. He gets a bit more SP than normal characters when he combos with his sword. Anyways, onto the actual details. ==================== 4 Koma : Power ==================== J-Soul / HP : 152 Shape: [] [] [] [] Special Attack A: Renjis sword expands and he swings it forwards. 54 damage to Knowledge and 36 Damage to everything else Special Attack B: He slashes his sword in a frenzy all around him extremely fast. (Tap X rapidly for more hits) 63 damage to Knowledge and 42 to everything else. This Renji's best koma form. This koma is is a really good backup character/leader in a 4 Koma only deck. His second special attack can be used for ring outs and his 1st special attack can hit opponents hanging on the edge of the arena. ================== 5 Koma : Power ================== J-Soul: 184 Shape: [][] [][] [] Special Attack A: Renji slashes his sword forwards at the enemy repeatedly. (Tap X rapidly for more hits) 64 Damage to Knowledge and 43 to everything else. Special Attack B: Renji plunges his sword into ground and 6 bits of his sword come out from the sides of your opponent and hit him. 63 damage to Knowledge and 42 to everything else. I say this is the best version of for a solo deck. His X can hit many oponents at once and is really good for ring outs. Is ^X is nothing to be amazed at but is pretty decent at the least. ================ 6 Koma: Power ================ J-Soul: 184 Shape: [][] [][] [][] Special Attack A: (Bankai) Renji sommons a giant snake to assult your opponent. 75 damage to Knowledge and 50 to everything else. Special Attack B: (Bankai) Same as above except the snake goes up instead of forwards. 78 damage to Knowledge and 56 to everything else. It would be the best except that the charge up time for these attacks are slow. REALLY SLOW. Also, only his specials are Bankai. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============= 5. Deck Help ============= There are three things you need in a deck. Help Komas, Support Komas and Battle Koma. ================ For Help Koma.... ================ Renji is boosted by Byakuya, Ichigo and Rukia. Basically when making your deck, place those characters next to Renji. A little sparkle effect will happen. Renji now gains a small amount of max health for each boost. Also, if you have a a battle koma/support koma version of the above characters, Renji will still get the boost. There are many komas that give effects that will help Renji. For instance, Devil Bat allows Renji to jump 3 times. This will also allow him to Air Dash more. Use komas that increase your special gauge (eg. Jiraya, Athena) in parts where they dont touchRenji or a different battle character. ================== For Support Koma.. ================== Orihime 3-Koma- As Renji can't heal himself, he'll need a buddy to heal him. If you plan on putting Renji alone in a deck, use Sakura. Sakura heals a decent amount of damage and removes negative status effects, but its only for the battle character you're currently using. If you plan on pairing up Renji with someone else, use Orihime. Orihime heals less, but she also heals every battle character in your deck! Josuke 2-Koma- This small koma is actually a real gem. This is one of the best healing characters in the game! It heals 41 HP and will turn you around. (Useful when you get hit by a movement seal) Shishio 2-Koma- This is a powerful 2-koma which inflicts burn and a decent amount of damage. It can combo break which makes it very useful. Hitsugaya 3-koma- This is to be used after using Renji's 4 Koma Up+X,5 Koma's X or 6 Koma's X. Or you can just use it when a character is out of the arena. Hitsugaya will shoot out a ice beam, freezing the opponent. Now he wont be able to jump back up! ================== Battle Koma ================= Taikoubou-6 Koma(Knowledge)- This is to make up for Renjis weakness. If you face a laughter opponent, switch into Taikoubou and start killing! Taikoubou's special can also poison your opponents- a pretty nifty trick. Hitsugaya 4 or 5 Koma (Knowledge)- A second choice. Hitsugaya can freeze people and is also really fast. Use the 4 koma version as a backup and 5 for either a main or backup. (I suggest backup.) Rukia 5 Koma- She gives Renji a boost and gets a boost from Renji. She also has some useful abilities like the ability to float (Charge your midair Y), and I think she can freeze people as well. Ichigo 4,5,6,7 Koma- 4-6 are all long ranged. They shoot out cresents of aura that do desent damage. 7 is Bankai Ichigo. This version is very powerful and fast. 7-Koma's specials are pretty nice and fast. ANYTHING KNOWLEDGE- Well, use anything you like here. You could use Ichigo, but I don't reccomend it (It's Power). ================= Example Deck ================ I made this simple deck to explain what I mean. [R][R][U][C][C] [R][R][I][C][C] [R][O][T][T][T] [O][O][T][T][T] R= Renji O=Orihime C= Ichigo Z= Zangetsu I= Uryuu Ishida H= Hitsugaya T= Taikoubou U= Rukia Renji is boosted by Rukia. Ishida allows Renji to gain more SP when comboing. Orihime for healing and Taikobou as an Anti-Laughter guy. Ichigo is there for ranged attacks. ========================= 6. How to use/Fight Renji ========================= HOW TO USE RENJI Renji is a nice close combat character with nice ranged attacks as well. His ranged attacks have a lot of well... range and are useful when your HP is low. His melee is a bit average but they're fast. As Renji, you'll most likely be spamming his ^X attack. A good tactic when you're low on health is to keep on jumping and using Renji's Aerial Y. It may get a bit repetitive, but it's a great way to deal damage. As Renji is a bit slow, you'll often fall behind faster opponents. I suggest using >B when they're running which will stop them for a few milliseconds. Follow that up quickly with a special or a Y attack. Remember that using attacks that throw the enemy in the air are very useful as they can't block. A nice combo to use is B,^B,^Y,^X (On Renji's 4-Koma). This will fling your opponent up in the air, making him vulnerable to Renji's powerful ^X. This does 96 damage to knowledge and 64 to everything else. ========== 6. Credits ========== Genroh - For making his awesome translation guide / walkthrough. I could't have done this FAQ without it.
