Introduction Garfield's Nightmare is a 2D side-scroller that is probably one of the most formulaic and generic to have graced the DS. However, it boasts beautiful 2.5D graphics that are some of the most impressive on the system. It's a very easy and short game, so this walkthrough might not be necessary, but I suppose I was bored. Some bonus lives and sleepwalk doors can be quite tough to find though, so the FAQ covers all their emplacements. You get no reward for 100% completition, but at least you'll know you did it. The goal of the game is to go through all four worlds and defeat each boss to restore the broken alarm that will help Garfield wake up from his nightmare. ________________________________________________________________________________ �������������������������������������������������������������������������������� 2. Game Basics ____________ ��Controls�� A - Jump B - Stomp (A+B) Y - Pull (boxes) L - Look up R - Look down Start - Pause menu _________ ��Moves�� Attack: Jump on enemies' heads to defeat them. Note that you cannot defeat spiked enemies or you'll get hurt. Crouch: Press down on the control pad and move in the desired direction to crawl through small passageways. Stomp: While in mid-air during a jump, press B to stomp the ground. With this you can defeat enemies, break objects, press switches and be lifted higher if used on a spring. Push: You can push certain objects like stones and crates by walking towards them. Pull: Same as pushing but you must press Y and pull the object in the opposite direction. Look around: Press L or R to look up or down. _________ ��Items�� Pizza Slices They are your energy. If you get hit, you will lose one. You can only have three at a time. If you have no more, you lose a life. Doughnuts Collecting 100 doughnuts fetches you an extra life. Lives A bonus life is hidden within each level. You can also get extra lives from the mini-games in the Sleepwalk doors. If you lose them all, you'll get three credits to continue. Coins Coins are used to open the Sleepwalk doors hidden in each level. You can get them from defeating enemies or from breakable objects. _________ ��Signs�� Checkpoint You will restart at the previous checkpoint if you lose all your energy. Goal Touch the goal sign to finish a level. If you hit the paw sign, you'll get some extra doughnuts. Try touching it when it's at the highest point to get even more doughnuts. Sleepwalk door You'll find one hidden in every level. You will need to have enough coins to enter. Inside, you'll find a mini-game that will fetch you some extra lives. ______________ ��Mini-games�� You will unlock a mini-game every time you defeat a boss. You can select the mini-games from the main menu at the title screen. Spider Phobia Collect as many coins as possible while avoiding the spiders. You have four chances. To move Garfield, use the stylus on the touch screen. Tap A Pet Tap all the pets that come out of the holes in the table. The game will end if you miss four pets. To tap the pets, use the stylus on the touch screen. Midnight Morsel Move the bowl around to catch as many doughnuts as you can. Watch out not to catch any bombs though. If you catch four bombs, the game is over. Move the bowl using the stylus on the touch screen. _________ ��Hints�� Stomping enemies give you two coins instead of one. Holding down A as you jump on an enemy makes you hop higher. ________________________________________________________________________________ �������������������������������������������������������������������������������� 3. Walkthrough ________________________ ��World 1 - Old Castle�� Level 1.1 Start by heading off to the right and stand on the switch. Nothing happens? Try jumping with A, then press B while in mid-air to perform a stomp, or a ground pound, as I like to call it. This will activate the bridge so you can cross. Go on inside the castle, leaping over the spikes, and when you get to that yellow signpost, slow down and let the column fall. Continue to the right, past the obstacles, until you get to a green spider. Simply jump on top of it Mario-style to defeat it. Keep going right and use the spring to reach the platforms above. Walk past the checkpoint and you'll come to some ghostly ghosts. Jump on top of them at their lowest point, or avoid them, then proceed to the right until you can't go forth anymore. Press down on the control pad, and right to crawl through the narrow passage. Use the spinning wheels to go across the next area and get to the second checkpoint. Continue to the right, across the spikes, and watch out for that falling column. For the next part, wait for the spider to be in the rightmost corner to pass. Go on past the spikes and falling column, past the ghosts and up the platforms. Cross using the moving platforms to reach the third checkpoint. In the next area, you'll have no choice but to jump down. Fortunately, a platform on the right will bring you back up. You'll come to a Sleepwalk door. If you've been defeating all enemies on your way so far, you should have more than enough coins to enter. To go in, press up on the control pad. Defeating all spiders will earn you one extra life for each. Go for it. Back in the nightmare, go right and watch out for the cracked columns; those will fall down. You'll get to a spring that doesn't send you high enough. Try using a ground pond (A+B) right on it to jump higher and reach the platform above. The ghosts by the yellow signpost can be bother. Notice how one flies low and the other flies high. Right after the lower one, go on to the right as the second ghost floats above you. Do the same to get past the ghosts below, then go on to a wooden platform with some doughnuts. There is a hidden area ahead. Jump on the two first platforms, then atop the wall of the castle. Keep jumping on the platforms to the right, on the next wall, and across some more platforms until you reach a spring. Use it to get into the secret place and collect your Bonus life. Now drop back down and proceed to the Goal. Level 1.2 Go right to find a crate blocking your way. You can pull it by grabbing it with Y, then holding left to drag it. Pull it into the first room and use the crate to reach the platform above. You'll find some doughnuts and a slice of pizza. And you can now proceed to the right. Whatever you do, don't fall in that green liquid, or any liquid for that matter, especially water since Garfield isn't too fond of it. On your right, ground pound that barrel, then crawl through the narrow passage. You can destroy the barrel ahead for a coin. Grab the crate and drag it all the way over to the left. Use it to jump on the platform on the left and destroy the barrel for two more coins. Now go on right and watch out for the falling columns. Right before the checkpoint, use the platform to go up and find a slice of pizza and some coins in the barrel to the left. Continue past the checkpoint and avoid those big spiky balls. Head up past the bat and push the crate above. Use it to reach the switch and stomp it to take down the first bridge. Push the crate a bit more to jump to the right and stomp the other switch to take down the second bridge. Now head back down to the left and jump down where the bridge was. Crawl through the passage, then ground pound the barrel and push the crate against the right wall. Go back up using the spring on the other side to get to the second checkpoint. Grab the crate past the checkpoint and pull it all the way into the next room. Better yet, push it all the right and use it to get to the secret area on the right. Collect the Bonus life, then head back to the previous room and use the crate to get on the platform above. Do a ground pound on the spring above to go up and keep heading up until you reach the third checkpoint. For the next part, you may go up or down, at your choice. Proceed right, crush the barrel in the way, then crawl through the passage. Pull the crate out of the passage ahead, then go through and destroy the two barrels ahead. Push the crate against the right wall to reach the next checkpoint. Perform a ground pound on the spring right after it to get on the platform above or walk past under the spiky ball. Head right and across the green water using the spinning wheel. Jump on the next spring you come across to reach the wooden platform above, then jump on the moving platform to the right to find the Sleepwalk door on top of the castle tower. Stomp all the trashcans within the time limit, but watch out for the bombs. Some may contain extra lives. Back in the nightmare, head back down and drop down into the tower. Jump on the spring at the bottom to reach the opening on the right. Head right to find the Goal. Level 1.3 Head on right and stomp the barrels in your way. Climb up and use the moving platform and spinning wheel to cross. Continue right across the scaffoldings, then into the castle. Crawl under the wooden platform to avoid the ghost, then walk past the first checkpoint, back outside. Head right to some ruins. Ignore the first spring, then use the second one to get on the ruins and look around for coins and doughnuts. When you're done, keep on right and you'll across a red spider. It will swing on its web, preventing you from crossing. When the spider swings over to the right, jump on the wooden platform above the water and quickly crouch. Wait for the spider to swing over past you and jump out of there while it's to your left. In the next area, jump down and walk all the way to the right. Use the spring with a ground pound to get out of there and go on to the right until you come to the second checkpoint. Now right before the checkpoint, get on the scaffoldings there. Push the crate all the way to the leftmost scaffolding and use it to jump on the castle wall. Go left to find a Bonus life, and left again to find the Sleepwalk door. Avoid the mines and stomp the trashcans for some extra lives. Once that's over, head back to the checkpoint and go on right, past the spider. Continue to the right until you get to the next checkpoint. Climb up inside the tower, then stomp the spring to reach the opening on the right. Go across the next room, then down the tower and continue right, past the bats. You'll come to three ghosts blocking the way. Carefully time your jump to land on top of one of them, then hop past them or defeat the two others. Proceed right to the Goal. Level 1.4 Head right past the spinning spiky balls, then you'll be stumped. Pull the first crate left as much as possible, then jump up and get to the other side. Pull the second crate right as much as you can. Then jump on it and into the new opening in the middle. Get past the spider, then jump over the green water and continue to the right, past the ghost. Go down and crawl into the opening above the crate. Pull the crate to the right, then use it to jump on the path above. Get past the spiders ahead by jumping over them, then you'll be on a bridge outside. There are some gaps in the bridge that look like bottomless pits, but trust me, drop down into one of them. There is ground below, and more pits! Drop down into the one right before the spring to find a secret area underneath. Nab the Bonus life on the left, then climb back all the way up and proceed right to the first checkpoint. Head down the tower, then go across the next room. Drop down into the crack in the floor, then climb back all the way up using the many springs outside the tower. A moving platform will bring you to the very top where you'll find the Sleepwalk door. Crush all the spiders to get extra lives. Back in the nightmare, jump back down to the right and across the platform with the ghost to reach the second checkpoint. Below, stomp the switch to pull back a bridge in the previous area. The barrel under it contains some coins. From the checkpoint, go right and push the crate so you can jump on the castle's wall. You can head down from here to get a slice of pizza, but otherwise, jump on the next roof, and then down on the right. Keep going from a roof to the other, until you find an arrow pointing down on the last one. Go down and proceed across the rooms on the left until you reach the leftmost one. Jump on top of the spider to cross, then stomp the switch in the last room. Go back all the way right, across the bridge, and to the Goal. ________________________ ��Boss 1 - Warren Baty�� Warren will first drop some bombs that you can easily avoid, then will fly across the screen. Use the opportunity to jump on top of him. Then he will drop some more bombs at you, but this time around the bombs will release fireballs. Just make sure you jump over them after the bomb hits the ground. Warren will fly across the screen again, and then repeat the same process. Jumping on him three times while he flies across will have him defeated. _______________________ ��World 2 - Lava Land�� Level 2.1 Start by heading right and watch out for that mosquito; you'll find plenty here. You can crawl under the bridge for some doughnuts, otherwise keep going right and jump over the lava pits. You can break the egg with a ground pound for a few coins. In the next area, either go up or down, then continue right for a pizza slice and the first checkpoint a bit further ahead. Proceed to the right and cross the lava pits using the moving platforms. On the second one, you'll need to crouch so you can pass under the wall above. Head on right and jump from platform to platform, watching out for the fireballs coming out of the lava. Cross the bridge ahead and you'll come to an arrow pointing up. Climb up and you'll see a broken bridge right before the second checkpoint. Jump down into the gap of this broken bridge, but hug the right wall so you don't land in the lava below. Crawl under the wall to the right and you'll find a secret area with a Bonus life. Collect it, then climb back up to the second checkpoint. Move out to the right and go either up or down. You'll come to another broken bridge near a yellow sign. Jump down into that gap too, and look on the left to find the Sleepwalk door. Stomp the trashcans to get some extra lives. Back to the lava world, crawl under the wall to the right, then use the moving platforms to cross while avoiding the fireballs. Crawl under another wall, then continue right to the third checkpoint. The rest is fairly straightforward, keep going on until you get to the Goal not too far ahead. Level 2.2 Proceed right and you'll come across a green mushroom. If you jump on it and press A as you land on top, you'll bounce higher and avoid the poison cloud. Continue right, defeating the enemies on your way, and cross the lava pit using the swinging platforms. You'll get to the first checkpoint. You can bounce on the mushrooms ahead to cross the next lava pit. Then use the swinging platforms to cross over to the other side. In the next area, you'll come across craters in the ground from where lava jets are propelled. Wait for those to stop before crossing. Continue to the right until you come to a yellow sign. Hurry to the right and jump on the ledge before the fire jet comes out. You'll then come to the second checkpoint. You can now either go up or down, but I'd suggest the upper path since the one below is a bit more risky. Continue right past the bridge and make it through all the various obstacles ahead. You'll get to a broken bridge with lava below and a fire jet coming out from above. Right after this part, there is a swinging platform and then the third checkpoint. There's a Bonus life hidden nearby, but this one is a bit more tricky to get to. Jump on the swinging platform before the checkpoint and notice the piece of wood holding the rope above the platform. Try to jump on it, then from there jump on the ledge to the left and you'll find the extra life. Now get back to the checkpoint. Keep going right until you get to the fourth checkpoint. Right after this checkpoint, there's another swinging platform. Do just like previously and jump on the piece of wood holding the rope above the platform. Then jump on the ledge to the right and walk up to the Sleepwalk door. Stomp the trashcans while avoiding the mines to get extra lives. Now head back down and cross using the swinging platforms. Push the crate ahead to proceed. Jump on the platform above the lava and it will carry you out to the other side. Don't forget to crouch when necessary. Once on the other side, you can take the path up for a pizza slice on the left. Otherwise, continue right, either up or down, and you'll come to a crate. Push it down the platform, then right. Proceed to the Goal. Level 2.3 Push the crate right at the start. Use it to climb up the platforms and stomp the switch. Go right and use the moving platform to cross. Watch out for the sneaky mosquito, then continue right and climb up. Jump to the left and hurry yourself to climb on the platform to the left before the fire jet comes out. Use the swinging platform to jump across, then go right and you'll come to a fire jet coming from above. There is a gap right under it. Drop down into that gap to find a Bonus life on the left. Crawl out of the secret area, then go right. Stomp the three switches on your way to activate the moving platforms. The first one had a pizza slice above, and the second one will bring you up to the path above. Proceed right to find the first checkpoint. Continue right and watch out for the fire jet right after the yellow sign. Push the crate ahead to move out and jump across the platforms over the lava. Keep going right and you'll find a switch. Press it to activate the moving platform nearby. Go back to it and push the crate down. Pull it against the wall to the right and climb up. Head right to find the second checkpoint. Continue right and use the platform to cross the lava pit. When you get to the yellow sign, either crouch or jump to avoid the green mosquito. Keep on right and you'll come across a frog. For the part ahead, cross using the platforms but don't stay on them for too long or they'll sink. You'll then reach the third checkpoint. Proceed to the right until you can either go up or down. Take the bottom path to find the Sleepwalk door. Crush all the spiders for extra lives, then head back on the upper path and cross the bridge. Move on to the fourth checkpoint. Cross the lava pit ahead with the mushrooms, then climb up at the dead-end and push down the crate on the left. Use it to jump on the platforms above, then go down to find the Goal on the right. Level 2.4 Instead of pushing the crate at the beginning, pull it back until you can get into the passageway. Then press the switch to activate the moving platform. Jump on the crate, then on the platform. Proceed to the right and get on the platform above the lava. Be careful not to jump when the fire jet comes out, then crouch to get to the other side. Continue right and jump on the next moving platform. You can choose to stay on the platform, or climb up to the upper path. Either paths will take you to the same place. After the first checkpoint, walk past the frogs, then you'll come to a broken bridge. Drop down in the gap, then get on the platform over the lava at the left and it will take you to a Bonus life. Head back on the main path and proceed to the right. Watch out for the fire jet after the yellow sign, then head onto the bottom path to find a pizza slice and a switch at the dead-end. Stomp it, then go up using the moving platform. Walk past the second checkpoint on the bridge, then continue right. Use the moving platform to get across the lava, then you'll come to a crate. Push it down the platform, then right, and use it to climb up. In the next area, take the bottom path and pull the crate out of the passage. Take the upper path and drop down in the gap. Press the switch, then head back up and jump down where the arrow points. Proceed to the right to find the Goal, but hold on. Walk past the Goal to find the Sleepwalk door. Stomp the trashcans, then head for the exit. ___________________________ ��Boss 2 - Pratick Sweaty�� To defeat Patrick, first avoid his fire breath by moving around (or simply sticking to the right or left side of the screen; if you're luck he won't even reach you there), then Patrick will lower his head. Be quick and jump on it or stomp it to hurt him. You'll need to do this three times to defeat him. The process stays the exact same each time. __________________________ ��World 3 - Cloud Valley�� Level 3.1 Can you feel the static? Start by heading over to the right, hoping from one cloud to the other, or just walking underneath. See that mini tornado? You can jump on it with no damage and defeat it. Same with that cloud further ahead that sparks lightning bolts; just make sure you don't stand under it. You'll come to a fan. Stand above it to be lifted up. Defeat the crow, then proceed right and press the switch on top of the higher cloud. This will stop the fan below so you can pass. Jump over the bramble branches to reach the first checkpoint. Get past the next branches, then continue right. Although the arrow says to go up, stay on the bottom path and head right to find a switch. Stomp it to activate the fan above. Now climb up the clouds and let the fan propel you to the right. Keep going to the right, past some arrows and a crow. Drop down in the area below and go right to find a switch. Press it to stop the fan blocking the path above. Head back up using the fan to the left, then continue right. You'll come to the second checkpoint. Cross the area with the yellow/red colored poles (there's a pizza slice on the upper path if you wish), then climb up the clouds and continue to the third checkpoint. Climb up on the right (you'll see a Bonus life, but we'll need to come back for it), then proceed to the right, through an area with a tornado and a lightning cloud. Right after this part, get on the first cloud, then jump on the pole to the left. Climb up the structure and go left. At the leftmost edge, leap on the cloud at the left. Stomp the switch to stop the fan below and go collect the extra life. Back where we were, continue right and stay on the bottom path. You'll find a switch at the end. Press it, then use the fan to collect the doughnuts above. In the next part you'll need to climb several cross shaped poles. First climb up, then left. Jump on the poles that you see on your left and on the last one you'll find the Sleepwalk door. When you're done, climb the poles to the right, then jump over the brambles and reach the Goal. Level 3.2 Hope you like rain, though I doubt Garfield enjoys it. Proceed to the right and jump over the mines. You'll need to crawl under the last few. Continue to the right and climb up the clouds to reach the first checkpoint. For the next part you can either go the upper path or bottom one. Either will end up at the same point a bit further ahead, where you'll find a platform held by four balloons. Stand in the middle to go up, and stand on the right or left side to go in the direction in question. Head up, then jump on the cloud to the right. Just after the second checkpoint, go down and crawl under the pole to the left. You'll find the Sleepwalk door below. When you're done, crawl into the opening to the left, then head back up using the balloons. Proceed right, past all the obstacles and straightforward platforming until you reach the third checkpoint. There will be another platform with balloons right after it. Before getting on it, go right for a pizza slice. Now use the balloon platform and work your way to the top, navigating between the mines. Note that the more you stand on the edge of the platform, the faster it'll veer. That way you can avoid the mines. At the top, go right and use the next balloon platform to go up. At the next one, jump on it, then jump to the right and hug the pole. You'll fall on a cloud. Go right to find a Bonus life. Now use the balloon platform to get to the fourth checkpoint. Shortly after, you'll get to another platform. Stand on it to go up and stomp the switch on the left. Now that the fan is stopped, use the platform to go right. Continue right and you'll float above three fans. Between the second and third one, drop down to collect a pizza slice. Then move out and climb up the clouds until you get to the Goal on your right. Level 3.3 The weather's starting to be nice. Go right, past the cannon and fireworks (just jump over them), then head up by jumping from cloud to cloud. The small ones will vanish after you touch them, so be quick. When you get to the gap, wait for the air mine to fall down and jump on the parachute on top to cross. Continue right and avoid the fireworks. Climb up the next set of clouds and wait for the air mine to cross. You'll reach the first checkpoint. Use the fan to go up, then jump on the clouds and head up using the balloon platform. Climb up some more and use the next platform. You'll get to another gap. Use the air mines coming down to cross, then jump between the two bramble branches and crouch to avoid the firework. Jump over the next two, then crouch and go right to find a pizza slice. Climb up the clouds, avoiding the pesky mines, up to the highest one with the arrow. Leap over to the left from the very edge of the cloud to land on a bigger cloud with the Sleepwalk door. Now return to the cloud with the arrow and go right until you find the second checkpoint. Proceed right and press the switch to stop the fan. Now head up using the balloon platform and you'll find another one to your right. Go up, but hug the left wall so you avoid the firework. At the top, stomp the switch on the right. Then head back down and press the switch where the fan is to stop the other fan above. Go back up and continue to the right. Hop on the clouds over the bramble, then crawl under the pole and press the switch at the right of the balloon platform. Go up, then jump over the fan and head left until you get to the cloud with the two arrows. Instead of going in the direction pointed by the arrows, jump on the clouds to the left and keep going left until you find a Bonus life in the middle of fireworks. Crawl your way out of there and return to the arrows. Follow the clouds to the right and you'll come to the third checkpoint. Use the balloon platform to go up, then press the switch on top of the first fan to stop the second fan. Go back up and collect the pizza slice, then continue to the right and climb up on the clouds up to another balloon platform. Use it to get on the path to the right, then drop down and proceed right. Stay on the bottom path and walk to the right. Jump on the poles at the end and crawl under the mine. Avoid the crow, then crawl under the poles below. Stomp the switch to stop a fan. Backtrack to that fan and use the other one to be propelled to the right. Keep following the path to the right and avoid the enemies to find the Goal at the end. Level 3.4 Sunshine, finally. Proceed to the right and jump from cloud to cloud, then over obstacles, until you get to a new type of balloon. You can stand on it, and every time you jump, the direction will change (shown by the arrow). So if you want to change the direction while on the balloon, jump as many times as needed until the arrow points in the right direction. Now get on the balloon to go up. Jump past the pole on the right and press the switch to stop the fan. Return to the balloon and go up again. Past the pole, jump on the balloon to change the direction to right. Crouch so you pass under the pole to the right. Jump over the pole, then continue right. Jump on the clouds to climb up, then go left and use the fan to be lifted higher. Move out to the right to reach the first checkpoint. Continue to the right and cross the gap with the mines and balloons. A bit more further ahead you'll get to the second checkpoint. The next part is a tad more tricky. Get on the balloon to go up first, then jump to go right, then wait until you're past the bramble branch and jump again to go down. When you're down enough, jump a few times until the balloon goes right. Then wait and jump to go up. Leap over to the pole on the right, finally. Work your way through the poles and clouds in the next area, then reach the third checkpoint on the right. Just after the arrow following the checkpoint, drop down in the gap to find a Bonus life down below. Then head back up using the platform with the balloons. On the right, before the Goal, you'll notice two pole structures with the Sleepwalk door above one of them. To reach it, you're supposed to stand between the two and wait for an air mine to float down. With the right timing, jump on the parachute, then quickly jump back on the structure. Difficult to do, and maybe not worth it. Reach the Goal and finish off the level. _______________________ ��Boss 3 - Jean Cloud�� To defeat this boss, first avoid the water balloons he drops at you. The best way to do so is to stand under him right before he drops the balloons, then when he's about to drop it, run to the corner that is the farthest from him. That way none of the balloons will ever reach you, as they only bounce a few times before vanishing and that will leave enough distance between you and the first bounce. After this, red balloons will come out of the clouds below. Stand on one, then jump towards Jean and stomp/ground pound him when you're high enough, but before the balloon disappears. Repeat this process two more times to win. ___________________________ ��World 4 - Frozen Mounts�� Level 4.1 The final batch of levels are the best and it starts here. Head off to the right and watch out for that little floating enemy -- you can't jump on it. You can break the ice blocks on your way with a ground pound. Defeat the penguins, then you'll come to a yellow signpost. Watch the ground for an icicle that will come out. Jump over it. You will have to be careful for those as they are pretty much everywhere in this level, and hard to see at that. Continue right and watch out for another icicle. Climb up and left for a pizza slice, then keep going right and you'll see another signpost. Take the upper path and continue right. Here you can go up or down; but watch out for icicles on the bottom path. Avoid the floating enemies ahead, then reach up to the first checkpoint. Proceed right, past the enemies, and stay on the bottom path. You'll find a switch at the end that opens some ice blocks with doughnuts underneath. Nothing particularly interesting. Climb up the platforms where the switch is and jump on the ice to the right. Continue right and crawl under the platform. Start climbing up until you reach the arrow. Climb up higher and jump on the platforms to the left. Keep going left and it will lead you to a Bonus life. Now go back to the arrow and go right. Head off to the very right once you're back on the ground to find a slice of pizza at the end. Then use the platform over the jet of water to go up and proceed right. Jump over the icicle and cross the bridge to come to the second checkpoint. Head off to the right and press the switch hidden in the purple patch of flowers to open ice blocks with doughnuts. Use the waterspout to reach the platforms above, then keep it up right and jump over the icicles. Climb up the ice blocks, then drop down in the last gap for a pizza slice, if you need. Then climb back up and continue right. Climb on the frozen pillar, then stomp the switch on the ice to open a path below. Head into that opening and head all the way right. Climb up the ice blocks, then jump on the platforms to the left and press the switch to open the ice ahead. Continue to the third checkpoint and proceed to the right. You'll need to press two switches to open the path ahead. The first one is on the frozen pillars right after the bridge with many little floating enemies, and the second one is on the ground right past the big ice structure. Once you have pressed them both, head back across and head into the Sleepwalk door. That done, stomp the switch and continue on the main path to find the Goal. Level 4.2 It's sno-wing! At the beginning, head across the moving ice blocks and you'll find a switch on your way. Press it to open the path ahead and head into it. Just watch out to avoid that snowball throwing snowman. You can jump on its head to defeat it. Continue to the right across the moving ice blocks and avoid the next snowman. Ahead will be some icicles in the ground; watch out for those as well. Start climbing up (left for a pizza slice -- and snowman) to the right to get to the first checkpoint. Proceed to the right, climb up the ice blocks, drop down, jump across the icicles, jump over the ice spikes, snowman, and ... finally, you'll come to a water spout. Take the bottom path for a pizza slice, then use the water spout to go up and continue to the right, up to the second checkpoint. Proceed to the right and you'll find a switch on some ice if you stay on the upper path. Stomp it, then head into the bottom path and go right. You can climb up the platforms here to find a pizza slice at the very top. Otherwise, move out to the right and use the water spout to go up. Break the ice blocks ahead with a ground pound, then climb up the platforms on the right and stomp the switch at the very top of the ice. From the highest platform at the right of the switch, take a huge leap to the right to land on another platform with a Bonus life. Go right from there and jump across the water streams. Proceed to the right up to the third checkpoint. Walk right all the way past the obstacles until you come to another waterspout. Go up and jump on the platforms to the left to find a switch. Stomp it to open the path ahead. Before proceeding into it, jump on the platforms to the right of the spout to find the Sleepwalk door. Then head down and go right to reach the fourth checkpoint. Continue across the next couple platforms and jump down after the second snowman. Press the switch at the end of the bottom path and head back on the upper path using the water spout way on the left. Head down into the new path and walk to the Goal on the right. Level 4.3 Head over to the right and avoid the snowball, and then cannonball. Continue to the right and jump over the icicle, avoiding the snowman right after. Keep going right, across the water and avoid the next few similar obstacles. Eventually, after a frozen water section, you'll come to a snowman followed by a big ice block with spikes on a platform above. Walk right through the ice wall on the right, below the spikes (yes, right through it). You'll fall down in an alcove with a Bonus life. Now walk up to the waterspout ahead. Walk across the frozen water and climb up the ice blocks. Break the blocks below you with a ground pound once you're back on the bottom path. Walk right through the ice wall and meet up with the first checkpoint. You'll then have the choice of the upper or lower path; both of which will lead you across the river. Here again, you can go up or down, but the bottom path is blocked for now. Take the upper path and press the switch at the end to open the path below. Proceed through it and continue to the right. Climb up on the upper path and jump back down once you reach the other side. Go right and climb back up. If you go left from there, you'll find a pizza slice. Otherwise, continue right and drop down behind the ice wall to reach the second checkpoint. Proceed right and prepare for a series of platforming obstacles. Avoid the icicles coming out of the ground and jump on the ice blocks moving out of the water. Take the waterspout up and go down to the right. There will be a huge ice wall you can jump through. Work your way to the top left corner and stomp the switch to open the ice structure to the left. Go back there for the Sleepwalk door. Then head back to the ice wall and follow the doughnuts to find the exit. Continue across the next obstacles to come to the Goal at the end of the path. Level 4.4 Jump down at the beginning and head past the cannon and water, using the moving ice block (or better yet, take the upper path). Keep heading right and go down when you can. Stay on the ground and go past the waterspout. Crawl between the ice blocks ahead and stomp the switch hidden behind the crystal. Climb back up using the platforms on the left and jump on the platforms up in the air on the right to find a Bonus life on the last one. Drop down and proceed right. Use the water spout and head across the ice columns. Jump down and use the other water spout to go back up. Break the ice blocks below you with ground pounds, then go right to find the first checkpoint a bit further ahead. Continue right until you get to the second waterspout. Go down on the other side of the ice column and press the switch to open the path ahead. Go into that new path and eventually you'll come to some breakable ice blocks stacked one atop the other. Stomp them, then press the switch behind the ice wall. Crawl through the passage ahead, then move out to the next area. Head across the glacier and watch out for the ice spikes. Grab the pizza slice above the moving ice ahead and reach the second checkpoint. Keep going right until you come to a big bridge with a snowman. Right before the bridge itself, break the ice block at the tip and crawl in the opening just below the bridge. Stomp the two switches underneath the bridge, then go back on the bridge using the water spout. Drop down in the next gap to find the Sleepwalk door. Then continue right and crawl out of there. Stay on the bottom path and press the switch at the end. Climb back up and drop down into the new path. Walk across the bridge to the right to find the final Goal. Boss 4 - Franz Coughka To defeat the last boss, first avoid the snowballs thrown at you. Then Franz will release penguins from its hat. Jump on a penguin and press A as you land on top to bounce even higher. While hovering above Franz's hat, perform a ground pound/stomp to hit it (make sure no penguins are coming out of the hat when you do this or you'll get hurt). That's it. Repeat two more times to beat him for good. One trick to avoid the snowballs is to stand very close to Franz, almost half of your character's body into the boss's belly. You won't get hurt and none of the snowballs will ever touch you.
