Thank you for selecting to read this FAQ. This FAQ is a walkthrough
for Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings for the NDS. This FAQ is best
viewed in notepad in Courier New font size 10. Final Fantasy XII
Revenant Wings takes place directly after the events of Final Fantasy
XII on the PS2. In the end of FF XII, Vaan recieves a note from
Balthier asking him to go to the Galbadian Ruins, where the game
begins.

[BASIC]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~GAME BASICS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This small section is about the game basics, and for the first time
ever, I've been kind enough to include the controls. (Now quit sending
me dumb letters like: How do I move? How do I attack? The game comes
with an instruction booklet and an in-game tutorial you know!
     D-pad =  Move camera (in battlefield);
              Move character (in World Map)
     A =      Jump to friendly summoning gate; Confirm. Ect; Used as
              'OK' in menus.
     B =      Clear all selections; Cancel. Ect;
     X =      Select all allied units. I use this alot. It is good
              for making your party attack a group of foes by sending
              everyone at them.
     Y =      Cycle through groups. Useful for sending one group and
              the party leader in command to a different place.
     L =      Switch the top and bottom screens, this allows players
              directly to be able to move the camera view to the
              selected area with ease.
     R =      Switch the top and bottom screens, this allows players
              directly to be able to move the camera view to the
              selected area with ease.
    Start =   Open Menu
There are three types of attacking units, and 1 type of support unit.
  Melee Units
  Melee units attack at close range.
  They can wipe out ranged units with out difficulty, but may have
  trouble against flying units.
  Ranged Units
  Ranged units attack from a distance.
  Ranged units are great against flying units, since the flying units
  can be hit rather easily, but they perform poorly versus melee
  units, who tend to whipe them out.
  Flying Units
  Flying units attack from the air.
  They can pick off melee units because the melee units cannot hit
  them easily. However, they are easily damaged by ranged units.
  Healing Units
  Healing units are a subdivision of ranged units, but healing units
  cannot attack. Instead, they sit back and cure them self and their
  comardades. They are an absolute must!
  Summoning Gate:
  A summoning gate allows you to call out an Esper. You must control
  a summoning gate in order to use it.
     Blue Summoning Gates: Gates you control.
     Red Summoning Gates: Gates controlled by your enemies.
     White Gates: Neutral gates that have not been captured.
  Capturing Summoning Gates:
  Move a group leader to summoning gate (Red or White) to capture it
  from your enemy. Once captured, the gate will turn Blue. Be aware
  that enemies will try to capture gates as well. You can capture a
  gate more quickly by sending more leaders to capture it.
  Summoning Espers:
  To summon an Esper, touch a blue summoning gate to bring up the
  Summon  command. When summoning an Esper, you must assign it to one
  of the groups led by your main character. The character doesn't
  need to be near the gate.
The Ring of Pacts:
  Selectable Espers are depending on your Ring of Pacts stats.
    Esper with which pacts can be formed glow yellow on the Ring of
    Pacts. You can form a pact with an Esper once the Esper adjacent
    to it is enlisted, enlisted means you payed the required amount
    of Auracite to enlist. Some Espers only become available once
    you unlock them.
Many more important things will be displayed throughout the guide,
these are only the extreme basics
[WALK]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WALKTHROUGH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the main part of the FAQ. The walkthrough is explaining how
to get through the complete game, start to finish. To begin the
game, choose 'New Game' from the title screen.

MISSION 0-1

VAAN THE SKY PIRATE  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Find Penelo, Balthier, and Fran.
 - Vaan must survive.

Simply follow the instruction of the gameplay and control, defeat
the flans when prompted. You will soon meet up with Penelo and then
Balthier and Fran.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

MISSION 0-2

THE TREASURES TWAIN  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat Ifrit!
 - Vaan must survive.

Not very hard... Just attack Ifrit with Vaan, have Penelo to heal if
necessary. Start off with X and select Ifrit. Every one will attack
Ifrit and Penelo will stand close by.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

 MISSION 1-1

 EVE OF ADVENTURE  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - Vaan must survive.

This part, you will gain control of Filo and Kytes, and learn about
the character and unit types: Melee, Ranged and Flying. Things like
Elemental weakness, each of these types has weakness and stronger
power against each other types. Beat all the enemies accordingly to
clear this part.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

 MISSION 1-2

 THE COVETED DERELICT   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Sneak aboard the derelict airship!
 - All allies must survive.

There is a few more tutorials here. Defeat a few easy enemies as
prompted and then move to the airship. Really, it's impossible to
lose!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 1-3

 THE TREASURE IS THE KEY (+2%)

Objective:
 - Reach the summoning gate!
 - All allies must survive.

Defeat the enemies with the effective type of attacks. This is all
more tutorials...

Objective:
 - Capture the summoning gate!

Press X to control all characters, then move closer to the summoning
gate.

Objective:
 - Summon three Espers!

Select the summoning gate to summon some espers. Just summon three
and...

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - All allies must survive.

... A few weak monsters appear, it's pretty pathic... But what do
you expect? It's still part of the tutorial!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

 MISSION 1-4

 UNWELCOME GUESTS  (+1)

Objective:
 - Defeat Ba'Gamnan, Bwagi, Rinok, and Gijuk!
 - Vaan must survive.

Ahh, finally a harder mission! I was just starting to get bored. They
are mostly Melee units, so keep your ranged units behind, and your
flying units up front. The battle really isn't that tough.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 2-1

 THE WINGED  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Save the wounded warrior!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Save the wounded warrior by defeating the Antlions near him. Its
rather simple.

Objective:
 - Save Llyud's companion!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Make your way to Llyud's companion. The Mission will end when you
successfully rescued Llyud's companion. Its nothing much...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 2-2

  AURACITE AND THE YARHI  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Prepare a few more Espers from the summoning gate (As many as you can
have). Use the units that are strong against your opponents type.
Since most enemies are Ranged enemies, send your Melee and Ranged
unit to finish them off you only need to kill their leader.

Before the next mission, you can now examine the Ring of Pacts and
Espers under the World Map Menu. Activate as many new Espers as you
like with the available Auracite, and you will be able to summon it
once activated.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 2-3

  REINFORCEMENTS  (+2%)

Objective:
 - Find the auracite chamber!
 - At least one ally must survive.

You now can setup your team through the Battle Party Screen before
the battle, set the suitable Espers for the stage and begin the
mission. All you need to do is push the switch to unlock the gate
and reach the center.

Objective:
 - Defeat Titan!
 - At least one ally must survive.

You're going to find yourself losing at first, bu after some time,
Ba'Gamnan will appear and... help you?!? With Ba'Gamnan's help, this
is a breeze!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 2-4

  'NEATH DARKENED WINGS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Destroy the enemy soul crystal!
 - Your soul crystal must survive.

This battle has a soul crystal..one for you, and one for them. All
you have to do is destroy the soul crystal. You don't need to kill a
thing! If you want, kill the normal enemies, but the party leaders
would just get revived and sent to the soul crystal, so it can be
easier to just rush to the crystal with everyone and attack it. That's
what I did and it worked every time!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 3-1

  SAVAGERY  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders.
 - All aegyl must survive.
 - At least one ally must survive.

It's a little difficult until you capture the summoning gate.Many
enemies are vulnerable to Fire, so having Kytes keep casting Firaga
to them helps. After rescuing the Aegyl, some Dogna will appear near
the exit. Now you best take care of them so the aegyls can escape
safely. Continue killing the enemy until you beat the last leader.

You can now visit Tomaj's shop on the airship's bridge!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 3-2

  RENDEZVOUS ROUND BACK  (+2%)

Objective:
 - Sneak into the temple!
 - Vaan must survive.

Pay attention to the way the enemies move, always move tight to the
side and move behind the enemies.If you're caught, run like mad till
you reach the entrance. It's easier than it looks.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

   MISSION 3-3

 THE CRYSTAL'S CRY  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders.
 - At least one ally must survive.

First take down the groups in the middle and capture the summoning
gate as soon as possible. Now defense the middle area and keep on
summoning Espers to help. Beware of the enemies from bottom area,
they might attack anytime and are rather deadly! As for the massive
group on the left, you can either send your Espers to break them
slowly, or you can summon evrything you can and rush out head on
for the kill! This is a lot harder than the last mission.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 3-4

 JUDGE OF WINGS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat the Judge of Wings.
 - At least one ally must survive.

Create as many Espers as possible, as the Judge of Wings will come to
you. Stay where you are and hold your ground. Don't bother with the
others too much, just attack the Judge of Wings like MAD!

Objective:
 - Defeat Shiva.
 - At least one ally must survive.

First you should capture the summoning gate in the central. Lure
Shiva's group to the left, keep your leaders at the beginning area
without getting spotted. When Shiva passes the central, call out more
Espers by using both summoning gates to attack them from both side.
This is, in my opinion, harder than the Judge of Wings Battle by a
tad.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 3-5

  BACKSTABBING BANGAA  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders.
 - At least one ally must survive.

I never really liked these creeps anyway... There's alot of foes
here, so don't bother to kill the leader too fast. And start from
this stage, you can strengthen your Esper by using the AP that you
get. There is a tutorial at the beginning of the stage to teach you
how to fortify.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 4-1

 PIRATE IN PERIL!   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Open all of the treasure chests!
 - At least one ally must survive.
 - Rikken, Elza, or Raz must survive.

There's some treasures would be excavated by Rikken's team, but if
you're really hungry for that, you can rush to their treasures at the
beginning and obtain it before they did. But if you take too much
treasure, you will get lesser reward in the end. The treasure chests
in the middle and another one to the West are Mimic, ignore them to
avoid being annoyed from the Mimic before you defeat the other
enemies.It's a bit woosy, but not too tough!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 4-2

  PIRATES AND PARROT IN PERIL! (+2%)

Objective:
 - Destroy the enemy soul crystal!
 - Your soul crystal must survive.

Take the summoning gate immediantly, block off the advancing enemies,
summon some more espers and CHARGE! Woosh... take out the crystal as
fast as you can! As easy as ever!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 4-3

 UNRELENTING NEMESIS   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Find the temple!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Seems simple at first, but an event occur as you reach to middle...

Objective:
 - Defeat Ba'Gamnan!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Keep Kytes alive because his Blizzaga is very good in use of fight
these enemies. Be wary when you near Ba'Gamnan, because a group of
Lamia will spawn at the top corner, you should get rid of them before
challenging Ba'Gamnan.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 4-4

  FILO IN A BIND  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat Ba'Gamnan!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Well, I hate this dude...First of all, you must capture a summoning
gate. Depends on the Espers you use. Assuming you will have allies
KO'd in the fight, it is recommend keep Llyud alive to revive someone.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

 MISSION 4-5

 RITE OF DESPAIR

Objective:
 - Defeat Belias, the Gigas!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Lot of Fire elemental monsters here, so prepare some Water elemental
Esper for this. Defeat the enemies around the left summoning gate
initially and capture the summoning gate as soon as possible to gain
your advantage. Later capture the second summoning gate as well. When
going for Belias' group, stick all your Esper together and send them
all in once.

After this fight, Vaan learns the first Quickenings, Pyroclasm.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 5-1

  THE MAN IN THE JUNGLE (+2%)

Objective:
 - Save the wounded man!
 - The man and at least one ally must survive.

Get close to the wounded man. Thats it, but thats not all...

Objective:
 - Esort the wounded man to safety!
 - The man and at least one ally must survive.

...As Penelo pointed, protect the wounded man to the West end,
however, the monsters are not letting you do this easily. The
monsters are unlimited spawning from the beginning area, so move as
fast as possible while trying to break all the monsters who are
blocking your way. Don't forget Vaan has learned Quickening, you
can perform this when the Mist Charge is full, and make sure you use
it into a group since it targets an area. This is pretty easy if you
don't get mobbed, since the enemies are so weak.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 5-2

  A GIFT FOR PENELO   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Gather foodstuffs!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Ahh, something nice, relaxing and easy. Obtain all three Prickleplum
to end this. Its easier if you utilize Kytes agic abilities to their
maximum potentional.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 5-3

 OBJECT OF DESIRE   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Protect Velis!
 - Velis and at least one ally must survive.

Ahh, I knew that easy strike wouldn't last...this is quite the
opposite, This is hard! Hold on until the Great Malboro appears,
defeat it to end this. The many enemies will try to sneak up on
Velis, so be forewarned!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 5-4

 THE DANCE   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Stop Velis!
 - Penelo must survive.

B-But I thought... Screw you Velis... And after all we did to help
you! The important point is to protect Penelo, so keep your strongest
character in the middle, keep summoning the Esper according to your
opponent's weakness. Since Velis (Odin) won't move until you disturb
him, you can first gather a group of Wyvern and then send all
together to fight Velis, it would be easy... But the sheer massive
amount of enemies makes it hard! Wyvern is your best friend here...
Keep an eye on Penelo, as she won't do a thing and a lot of enemies
try to sneak up on her...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 6-1

 A RECURRING NUISANCE

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Always stick with the team for easier healing and curing bad status.
Again, fight with your opponents according to their type and
elemental weakness is very important in this stage. It's a much
needed break from the last two battles...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 6-2

 TERMS OF ALLIANCE   (+2%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemy leaders!
 - At least one ally must survive.
 - Fran must survive.

Put Shiva or Leviathan for rank III slot of the troupe. Summon your
rank III Esper as the mission is started, breakthrough the group
around the first summoning gate as fast as you can. Afterwards, set
your healing units target on Fran to keep her alive before while
facing the enemies from top. It never hurts to just run in and kill
every thing you see.(Ok, it does hurt, but in this mission, that
works pretty well)

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 6-3

  AT FRAN'S SIDE  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Accompany Fran to the cave.
 - At least one ally must survive.
 - Fran must survive.

Beware that enemies will appear from the begining area. Defeat the
enemies as Fran attacks through the path. Likewise, set your healing
unit target on Fran to keep her HP full. Avoid the Mimic chests as
well. This is kinda boring, since Fran is so slow! Also, Frans my
least favorite character until level 50, and thats pretty far off...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 6-4

 AUDIENCE AT THE AURALITH   (+1%)

Objective
 - Defeat the Judge of Wings!
 - At least one ally must survive.
 - Balthier must survive.

Initially capture the summoning gate on the right. With Kytes' magic,
 this is quick easy. For the boss, send a rank III Esper to lure her
with the support of your healing unit, re-summon your rank III Esper
again when it dies. If Balthier is targetted, you should move your
healing units to save him. Meanwhile, capture the summoning gate
behind the boss. Once you did it, the rest of the battle will become
easy, but...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 6-5

 BALTHIER'S BETRAYAL  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Stop Balthier!
 - At least one ally must survive.

...Dang! I Should have known. How could you Balthier?!?
There's a little trick you must do at the beginning. First cast
Llyud's Vanishga on an Esper, then send this Esper to left, pass
Ba'Gamnan's team, means this Esper should staying between Balthier
and Ba'Gamnan. When the Vanish status gone, Ba'Gamnan will chase and
attack your Esper, now lure them to Balthier's team and eventually
they will fight with each other.

*Thanks to my Friend Sheldon Schreiner for this trick*

Capture the summoning gate on the left after Ba'Gamnan's down. Fran
will probably get KO'd during this fight. After all, Balthier will
come to fight Vaan. Send a rank III Esper to face your enemies and
keep 2 or 3 healing units to support it, hopefully you had Carbuncle
for this. Needless to say, your other combat unit should fight
Balthier together while the rank III Esper is taking damage. If
you do so, the Battle Instantly becomes easier.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 7-1

 NEVER ALONE  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - All allies must survive.

Nothing is hard here, a Great Malboro will appear as boss after
defeating all enemies. But it shouldn't put up much of a fight.
Bring along some melee and ranged fighters for sure.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 7-2

 REMINISCENCE  (+2%)

Objective:
 - Find Vaan.
 - All allies must survive.

Examine the flowers blooming to open up new path. Individually move
all party members to where Vaan is. This is really quite easy, just
be aware you are alone...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 7-3

 WHERE THR HEART LIES   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Endure the attacks of the Yarhi!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Capture the summoning gate, try to breakthrough any of the enemy
groups while defending against the Raidens spawn from the bottom. It
can be easy or hard, its all how you do it! Note: This is easier with
an earth esper such as Atomos.

Objective:
 - Defeat Velis!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Save the Quickening if you have fully charged, spend it to Velis
(Odin). We can't drag this fight because more and more enemies will
appear, so should done this when the path is clear. Velis' damage is
not very strong, but he attacks all target in an area, so make sure
you weaker character stay further from him. Gang up on him and
eventually he'll go down in defeat! *Drum Roll*

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

 MISSION 7-4

 AEGYL UPRISING   (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - Your soul crystal must survive.

Since all enemies are Flying type, so there's no point to use any
Melee units for this fight.Be sure to have Carbuncle to assist in
healing! Remember you must protect your soul crystal, watch out for
enemies coming at your soul crystal. I reccomend making a army of
rangers for a defensive line, and a a large group of Flying units to
lead an attack.

*Ivalice is now available! Now you can get that 'full' party*

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 8-1

 AN IRRESISTIBLE OPPORTUNITY  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Destroy the enemy soul crystal.
 - Your soul crystal must survive.

Start by defeating the nearest enemies and capture the summoning gate.
Always pay attention to the moving enemies because they might come
straight to destroy your soul crystal, make sure you guard it well.
I suggest take the upper path to the enemy soul crystal, leave the
bottom path with some Ranged and Flying Espers to defense. Rush to
the further summoning gate when the path is clear. Have a Melee leader
and a rank III Esper with the support of Carbuncle or Penelo would be
easy. It's overally not too bad.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

*You must talk to Larsa, Basch, and Balthier to unlock the next three
missions*

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 8-2

 THE SECLUDED   (+2%)

Objective:
 - Seek out the informant.
 - At least one ally must survive.
 - The informant must survive.

The soldier you need to find is located around the top right part of
the map,near a bridge. Use Vaan for this, cast Sprint and Vanishga
and run to right, then to top and speak to the soldier to end this.
Basically, just ignore everyone. There's no need to fight.

MISSION 8-2

 LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Find the hidden chamber!
 - At least one ally must survive.

You must use Penelo because this map doesn't allow you to summon any
Espers, Kytes is almost necessary since his spells are very useful
against the enemies. Touch the Ancient Device at the side to unlock
the following gate, and each time you unlock the gate, some enemies
will spawn in the front. Simply take down the enemies with Kytes'
magic. Heal all your character before you open the next gate. This
is hard...

Objective:
 - Defeat the Elder Wyrm!
 - At least one ally must survive.

...Oh man, And I though the above battle was hard... This is insane,
no espers?!? But then again, the Elder Wyrm was harder in Final
Fantasy XII on the PS2. After the final gate, Elder Wyrm appears as
boss. Have a Melee character (Vaan or Basch) do close combat with it,
and set Penelo target to this character.

MISSION 8-2

 YE WHO REST  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - At least one ally must survive.

This is easy! The foes rae so weak and easily defeated. Physical
attacks is all you need, and spells work awesome too. You'll be done
this mission before you know it!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 8-3

 FIGHT BACK TEARS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Reach the top of the volcano!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Use Shivar, Carbuncle, and Mateus. Simply clear the path with Kytes'
Blizzaga spell until you reach the goal point. Jeeze, that ws easy...
you'll whip through this...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
  MISSION 8-4

 WAYWARD SOUL (+2%)

Objective:
 - Defeat Chaos!
 - At least one ally must survive.

...No wonder, this is hard! You will face another boss after Chaos,
so don't suicide on defeating Chaos. Try not spending too much time
to capture all summoning gate because Chaos will find you after a
moment, and you should be prepared before that. I recommend you
capture the summoning gate on the top, then slowly break down the
Chaos' group. Once you've cleared the enemies around Chaos, send a
high HP character to face him with some Carbuncles support. And you
should have Kytes around to guard your team since he can use Blizzaga
to finish most enemies easier. If you think you can control your
party very well, delay Chaos's action by luring him to other area
with different party while you're capturing more summoning gates.

Kytes learns Nature's Wrath when Chaos is defeated.

Objective:
 - Defeat Mydia!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Two tough bosses in a row makes this one of the toghest missions in
the game! For this fight, you can capture the all the summoning gate
first. Don't trigger Mydia's attention before you kill off he enemies
around. Send some Flying type Esper from opposite side to reduce her
HP (Bomb's Self Destruct). When Mydia left about 30% HP, use a
Quickening to finish her off. Again, you must have Carbuncle support
because Mydia can easily kill anyone.

Congratulations, you beat one of the toughest story missions!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 9-1

 WINGED WARRIORS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Destroy all enemy leaders!
 - At least one ally must survive.

You have to beat these enemies repeatedly (Four times), not at all
hard but takes time. Each time you start the next round, make sure
to heal all allies who're not at full HP. This may take as long as 30
minutes to do, so be prepared. (Depends on Level and skill)

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 9-2

 CREATOR OF DARKNESS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat Feolthanos!
 - At least one ally must survive.

...Now this is a lot harder.(But still not the most difficult mission)
Capture both summoning gates near your starting point. While going to
the middle, prepare for fight three rank III Espers in a row which
are Belias, Mateus and Chaos. If possible, lure Belias away and
capture the summoning gate before beaten Belias. after this, capture
the remaining summoning gates. Use Ranged unit to lure and defeat
the foes around Feolthanos, so Feolthanos would be easier. Still,
it's a rough fight.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 9-3

 FALLACY (+1%)

Objective:
 - Defeat all enemies!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Another annoying stage, lot of enemies to fight and the area is small.
It's HARD! Try to capture some summoning gates as soon as possible.
Afterwards, capture to opposite summoning gate without waiting. While
doing so, summoning as many Esper as you can to protect the middle,
don't forget your rank III Esper is most important. Spending a
Quickening on opponent's Carbunble in a group is useful. Prepare to
have a harder fight to come...

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 9-4

 THE UNCONCSIONABLE  (+2%)

Objective:
 - Defeat Mydia!
 - At least one ally must survive.

I warned you there would be difficult things to come! Clear the
middle area can capture the summoning gate if you can, because if
you choose to the corner summoning gate, you might be surrounding
unless you are really fast enough to recover your party before the
next group enemies come. When your status is stable, attack and
capture both summoning gates at the top corner to decrease foes
spawning, otherwise it would be very hard to defeat Mydia when any
of the summoning gates still under enemy control. After you
successfully capture all summoning gates, close in on Mydia.

You can now access Well of Wispered Oaths, where the hardest
optional quest, Midlights Deep, awaits you!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 10-1

 WAITING IN THE WINGS  (+1%)

Objective:
 - Capture the summoning gates!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Capture the summoning gates one by one, nothing is hard here. This
may take a while, but overally, it's quite simple. It only took me
7 1/2 minutes to win!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  MISSION 10-2

 THE ABYSS - Womb of Feolthanos

Objective:
 - Destroy the enemy soul crystal.
 - At least one ally must survive.

Gather all units to focus on target enemy group, start by hitting the
right area, then clear the rest in the middle. The last group before
the soul crystal may take some time since the all foes are guarding
there. You can lure out some of them first and then through the other
path to reach their soul crystal. This is only somewhat difficult,
but compared to past crystal battles, this is HARD! (Where's OUR
crystal?!?) Still, my level 60 party with Vaan's upgraded Anastia
(Upgraded 2 times) breezed through it.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  THE FINAL BATTLE

 REVENANT WINGS

Objective:
 - Defeat Feolthanos!
 - At least one ally must survive.

Set more Ranged and less Melee units. Enemies are only Melee unit,
damage not very strong, but the massive quantity is quite annoy,
use Bomb continuously to get rid if it (Self-Destruct).

Note: enemy's level is depend on your total story completition.

Once you clear the area, focus on the boss' right hand (top), always
take at least 3 healing units along with your party. Take down the
other hand after this. Do remember keep on summoning when your Esper
is down, because it's hard to recover in this battle once your team
allies getting lesser, so be sure you always have
enough unit to push off the unlimited opponents.

Finally, you target is the core, beware the core will attack all
everyone in front of him with his ray. This is a really powerful
attack. To avoid getting worthless damage, you can attack the core by
casting magic beside the stairs, however you can still sending your
Esper up the stairs to attack. But the main problem is Bahamut, which
would appear before you can defeat the boss, and you should focus on
Bahamut when this happens (this is tough!!). Keep your leader further
from Bahamut's spotting target, bring him to the summoning gate if
possible, so you can blast him with lot of Espers on the summoning
gate. After defeating Bahamut, continue damaging the core. It sounds
so hard, ut really, I've seen much more challenging battles.
(Midnights Deep, Keeper of the Precepts, anyone?)

Objective:
 - Defeat Feolthanos!
 - Vaan must survive.

In the end, Vaan appears in the throne. Fight with the boss and your
allies will eventually appear to help. Now move Vaan away from the
boss, just let your allies to hit the boss till he's down.

Congrats, you just beat Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings. Enjoy the
ending!

Really, the game was great, but I just feal it wasn't as good as
Final Fantasy XII for the PS2. The PS2 game has far better graphics,
better story, more moves, I perfer it's control, tougher bosses such
as the super-tough 50 million HP Yiazmat. I loved the Marks in the
Original,as well as the ending, the cut scenes, and hey, did you
know everyone can wield anything, and any esper? Also, everyone had
3 quickenings each and they could be chained to form a mighty
concurance such as the awesome Black Hole.
old time...
For those who own a Playstation 2 and haven't played
Final Fantasy XII, they need to run down to a store RIGHT NOW and buy
a copy (I got mine used at EB Games for $25.00 CAN and the Canadian
dollar was about $1.02 then) Anyway I repeat: BUY FINAL FANTASY XII.
Aside from Final Fantasy VII, this is quite possibly the BEST Final
Fantasy ever (Or at least until 2009 when Final Fantasy XIII hits
the PS3)

|   |                       |first, then focus on Levithan. Like    |

|69.|Escape Escapade |This is hard. Fight the girl first, the|
| | |others should come at you. Next kill |
| | |Riken, and lastly kill the last one. |
| | |Fight as many monsters as you can, |
|   |                       |especially the White Hares,as they will|
|   |                       |heal your victims,making it much harder|
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|70.|An Uninvited Invitation|Don't these guys die?!? This is what...|
| | |We fought them twice in FFXII on the |
| | |PS2, and twice in this game, so that |
| | |makes this the fifth time! Take out the|
| | |leaders one by one while capturing the |
|   |                       |summoning gates. Save Ba'Gamnan for    |
|   |                       |last, take out his commarades first.   |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|71.|For a Moments Peace    |                                       |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|72.|???                    |                                       |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|73.|Just For Penelo |Another easy mission, you don't have to|
|   |                       |fight anything, and the level 99 golems|
| | |are too hard to kill anyway. Try either|
|   |                       |decoying the golem's away while someone|
| | |grabs the fruit, or use some one with |
|   |                       |an immunity to immobiolize.            |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|74.|Dance of the Dead |Just repel the foes and reach the boss.|
|   |                       |The foes are endless, so don't try to  |
|   |                       |'kill all the foes first', kill a bunch|
| | |in the way, then go after Zalera and |
|   |                       |strike him down. Zalera is quite       |
| | |powerful, so you may want to start with|

|   |                       |focus on Famfrit. DON'T put your people|
|   |                       |in a straight line. Instead, surround  |
|   |                       |him.                                   |

|78.|Masterless Minions     |                                       |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|79.|Wings of Midnight |This Mission is available right after |
|   |                       |finishing Chapter 9. You will have to  |
|   |                       |fight a LOT of Rank III espers before  |
|   |                       |Bahumat appears. When Bahumat does     |
| | |appear, attack him and defeat him to |
| | |complete the mission. Hard, but not as |
|   |                       |hard as Zodiark.                       |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|80.|Keeper of Precepts |This mission pits you against Zodiark |
|   |                       |and a number of other monsters which   |
| | |can spawn in the summoning gates. Most |
|   |                       |monsters are level 93-95. It's possible|
|   |                       |to  beat this at level 60, (That's what|
|   |                       |I did)though you may want to wait until|
|   |                       |you are level 70-80. Whipe out as any  |
| | |foes as you can, and capture as many |
|   |                       |summoning gates as possible. One thing |
| | |you can do is capture all the summoning|
| | |gates, then use the two on each side |
| | |as well as the one in the center. If |
|   |                       |you do that,you can attack Zodiark from|
| | |the sides AND the front. Just go for |
|   |                       |Zodiark.Not the other foes on his sides|
|   |                       |Available in begining of Chapter 10.   |
|---|-----------------------|---------------------------------------|
|81.|Battle on Big Bridge |This mission is available available |
|   |                       |after completing chapter 9, It pits you|
|   |                       |against Gilgamesh and Enkidu. The thing|
|   |                       |is, Enkidu will continue to spwan until|
| | |there is eight of them. If you kill one|
|   |                       |another will spawn soon. So basically, |
| | |the only way to win this is to attack |
| | |Gilgamesh right off the bat and kill |
| | |him BEFORE all eight Enkidu spawn. The |
|   |                       |Enkidu can cause disable.              |

These are the obtained easily, rank I espers. They all Require 1
Auracite to enlist.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alraune
Type: Melee
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Irritable beast short of stature and temper.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 4/10
The Alraune is available from the begining of the game and is one of
the original 4 you get. He is rather useful earily, but soon, you'll
never use him again. It attacks with ram.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Garchimacera
Type: Flying
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: An imp with a heart of mischief.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 4.5/10

More useful against the melee units, such as Alraune. However, the
vast number of Ranged units in the begining of the game makes things
more difficult for the poor little dude. Available from the begining
of the game and is one of the original 4 you get. It attacks with
Gnaw to deal damage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sylph
Type: Ranged
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Sylvan spirit for whom the winds are blades.
Cost: 11
Personal Rating: 5/10
Can be quite useful to attack the foe with, they can stand behind
melee units so that they can hit the foe but can't be hit by the foe.
Available from the begining of the game and is one of the original
4 you get. It atacks foes with aero from  far off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

White Hare
Type: Ranged/Healing
Nature: Holy
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Friendy creature quick to aid those in need.
Cost: 12
Personal Rating: 6/10

This is necessary, while not as useful as Carbuncle, the White Hare
can really help you in difficult battles with its healing skills.
This is a must! Available from the begining of the game and is one
of the original 4 you get. It doesn't attack, but instead uses the
cure spell.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gnoam
Type: Flying
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Airborne sprite of the forest.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 5/10
This little guy isn't much of a fighter. He uses a float kick rather
than attack to harm the foes, but it's still a bit on the weak side.
Unless you really need flying espers, forget about him!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Goblin
Type: Melee
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: A familiar nuisance armed with his time-tested punch.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 6/10

Once you get him, he's a pretty good fighter, and many foes use him
as far as the Chapter 9! He uses goblin punch, which is pretty much
random damge, to attack.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cactoid
Type: Ranged
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Distant, ambulatory relative of the common cactus.
Cost: 11
Personal Rating: 5.5/10
He has his uses, though I wish his 1000 needles attack could actually
deal 1000 damage, (But it doesn't)he can really take a bite out of
flying units though. Many foes use the cactoid, even in Chapter 9!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bomb
Type: Flying
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Handle with care.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 7.5/10

This guy has his uses... While he normally attacks with Bomb Blast,
he could also use a far better attack: Self Destruct! Self Destruct
does massive damage to surrounding foes, which is why many like to
use the bomb to eat up bosses HP. You can make an army of 7, then
send them all to self destruct, generally, this would kill the
unfortunate foe.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Salamander
Type: Ranged
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Fire-breathing lizard with an appetite for destruction.
Cost: 11
Personal Rating: 6/10
Since the Salamander is a ranged unit, it can stand behind your melee
units and barrage the foes with its Fireball attack! It can be
useful for eating away at a number of flying units.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Djinn
Type: Melee
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Mischievous flame spirit that scorches its foes.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 5.5/10

This guy can be sent ahead, with salamanders behind him, to ignite
those dang water units! He uses flame sneeze to attack his opponent
with a gust of fire!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chocobo
Type: Melee
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Its swift legs carry it charging into battle.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 6/10
Chocbo is a decent fighter, used commonly even in chapter 9 by some
foes! He uses beak to strike his foe. (Whatever happened to chocobo
kick?!?)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Shivan
Type: Ranged
Nature: Water
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Info: Heir apparent to Shiva's chilling might
Cost: 11
Personal Rating: 7/10

She's actually quite strong... Heck, she accompanied me into the
final battle! (Because the game forces you to have two Rank I's at
all times) She can stand back behind sahagin and strike down her
foes with blizzard!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sahagin
Type: Melee
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: Water-spouting creature spawned in the deep places of the sea.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 6/10
Sahagin makes a great back up unit for Shivan, since he can stand
up front and use smack while Shivan barrages the same unit with
blizzard. This can whipe out fire units pretty easily.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aquarius
Type: Flying
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: Rides the winds on brilliant fins.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 5/10

Uses bubble bath to damage his foe, not my favorite, but he still
has his uses when you need a flying water unit earily in the game.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quetzalcoatl
Type: Ranged
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Earthbound avian who flings bolts of lightning from his lowly
      perch.
Cost: 11
Personal Rating: 6/10
His thunder has its uses as he can deal impressive damage versus
some water types, but overally, he's not my favorite.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Remora
Type: Melee
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Lightning dances across this mechanized marionette.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 6/10

He's not my favorite either, I guess I just don't like lightning
element units... Still, his speed is kind of imprssive. He attacks
his prey with Thunder Chop!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ramih
Type: Flying
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Automaton crafted by Ramuh, archon of storms.
Cost: 10
Personal Rating: 5.5/10
Agian, good speed, not the greatest stats though...Uses spark to
deal lightning damage to his foe. But really, he could use a attack
boost!
[RTWO]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~RANK TWO ESPERS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This section is about Rank II espers. All rank two espers require 2
auracite to enlist.They are very common and much more powerful than
the Rank I's.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carbuncle
Type: Ranged/Healing
Nature: Holy
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: The rays of its ruby light heals all they touch.
Cost: 16
Personal Rating: 9/10
Carbucle is EXTREMELY useful! It is a healer, and it knows 2 spells,
its normal 'attack' cure, and a special spell with area affect
healing: Ruby Balm. Ruby Balm resembles Curaga. Carbuncle is a must!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Balasa
Type: Melee
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: An angel of fire consumed by its own passion for destruction.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 7/10

Balasa has his uses, as he's a great choice to take if planing on
fighting ranged units weak to fire.He has very high strength, and
great attack, which makes him a good choice to bring when you need
physical attackers.He attacks with fire fist, which also inflicts
slow on the target.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wyvern
Type: Flying
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Wyrm that has taken wing, snapping fiery jaws at its quarry.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 8/10
I like the wyvern quite a bit. He has great speed and attack, as well
as two attacks: Gnaw, which is his normal attack, and fire breath,
which deals fire damage in a straight line. He is quite useful, and
he's hard to hit if you're a melee unit...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lamia
Type: Ranged
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Ophiian who bedevils her prey.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 7.5/10

Lamia is very useful too. The reason for that is because she has the
fire spell to deal damage, and a the entice charm to confuse the
foe. Confusion may turn the foe against its allies.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonberry
Type: Melee
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: "The past has a way of catching up with you."
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 7.5/10
The Tonberry has his uses. He has high attack which helps boost his
knife attack, and his Karma spell does damage based on the number of
kills the opponent has done. To make the tonberry useful when
challenging a boss, send a bunch of weak units for the boss to kill.
After the boss kills a lot of units, use Karma to deal high damage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Raiden
Type: Flying
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Lightning courses through his diminutive frame.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 7/10

His lightning storm attack is useful since it silences and damages
one foe. Aside from that though, he's really not that strong... His
mind, magic, and speed are decently high however.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ixion
Type: Melee
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Stameping destrier that tramples foes 'neath thunderus hooves.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 6.5/10
This guy is... um... ok. He has stats much lower than Raiden's
though, and his attack has no special effects.Hoof Kick just does
lightning damage to one foe. Ixion doesn't know any other attacks
too, so He's hot worth using.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sagittarius
Type: Ranged
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Centuar archer who rains bolts of lightning on his foes.
Cost: 15
Personal Rating: 7.5/10

This guy is useful at times. His plasma Arrow is his normal attack,
but his noticable ability is Triple shot,which looses three arrows at
foes, dealing lightning damage to who they strike. Naturally, this is
pretty useful.Sagittarius is best hiding behind some melee fighters
while he strikes his foes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Diabolos
Type: Flying
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Demon who bends gravity to his will.
Cost: 18
Personal Rating: 8/10
Diabolosis really quite good. While his stats aren't that high, his
normal attack, Nightmare, deals damage and puts the foe to sleep.
While his other attack, Gravity, deals damage based on the current
HP of the enemy. (Note: Some foes are immune to gravity)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Shivar
Type: Ranged
Nature: Water
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Info: Shiva's cold-hearted paramour.
Cost: 18
Personal Rating: 8/10

While he normally attacks from far off with blizzard, he also likes
to inflict stop on his victim with Absolute Zero. He is good at
supporting allies and has terrific mind and magic. His magic Attack
and Defense is great. Shivar is a great choice in battles!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Siren
Type: Flying
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: Irresistible songstress who beguiles eye and ear alike.
Cost: 15
Personal Rating: 7/10
Siren isn't the worst summon, but she isn't the best either. Her
Kickline Dance is very useful, since it's her main attack and it
inflicts stop and damage on the foe. Most of her stats aren't that
high though.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cuchulainn
Type: Melee
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: The Impure, his touch is pioson and death.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 8/10

His attack isn't as high as it should be, but that doesn't discouage
me from using this guy all the time! His Mind is possibly the highest
in the game, nearly 3 times his attack! His magic defense is also
great. He is useful since he uses Malaise to damage the opponent,
and Blight to poison them. Magic users won't be killing him anytime
soon. (But really, he was one of the main espers in Final Fantasy
XII on the PS2, so his stats should be higher)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Golem
Type: Melee
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Woodland colossus who stands watch over Nature's creation.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 7.5/10
This guy is a tank, a decoy. He has what is possibly the highest
Stamina in the game. His defense is absolutely terrific too. He's
the opposite of Cuchulainn, with super defense instead of Magic
Defense. His wild charge inflicts imobiolize and deals damage, so
don't expect to flee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cu Sith
Type: Ranged
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: A Yarhi whose innocent appearance belies its remorseless soul.
Cost: 15
Personal Rating: 7/10

His stone attack has its uses, as it deals earth damage, and he can
blind with his bedevil spell. His magic should be a lot higher than
it is however. He really isn't the best choice unless you have
flying foes weak to earth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Atomos
Type: Flying
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Noble spirit of earth.
Cost: 14
Personal Rating: 8.5/10
His stats are more subpar, but they are also more balanced and
average compared to other Rank II espers. His uppercut is very useful
because it deals earth damage to ALL foes in range. Also, his drain
lets him transfer HP from the foe to the caster. Very Useful indeed,
Atomos is! He's your choice for a Rank II esper.
[RTHREE]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~RANK THREE ESPERS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This section is about Rank III espers. All rank three espers require
3 auracite to enlist.They are very powerful and often need to be
unlocked.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zalera
Type: Ranged
Nature: Holy
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Death Seraph who scathes foes with angelic light.
Cost: 25
Personal Rating: 9/10
Cool, he's holy element, yet he doesn't heal. Instead, he casts Holy
to deal holy damage on one foe as a normal attack, and he uses Holyja
to deal major hurt to ALL enemies. The only downside, he takes for
ever inbetween castings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Exodus
Type: Flying
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Judge-Sal who metes out justice from the heavens.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9.5/10

His judgment does earth damage with an area effect, and his meteor
deals heavy damage to all foes in an area. So naturally, he does best
at taking out multiple foes. His stanima is very high, as is many of
his other stats. He's a great choice, even for those who dislike
earth, his meteor makes up for that!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Titan
Type: Melee
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: The ground trembles at his approach.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10
Titan has tons of HP, high attack, mind and stamina, a Landslide
attack which deals earth damage in an AoE. (Area of Effect) His
Gaia's Wrath imobiolizes targets and deals earth damage to
surrounding foes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hashmal
Type: Ranged
Nature: Earth
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Earth
Info: Bringer of order before whom mountains are pebbles.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 8.5/10

Hashmal has loads of HP, high attack, stamina, Mind, and magic to
back it up, but his attacks have no side affects. They just do
straightforward area damage; Roxxor does earth damage, and Stonja
does Heavy earth damage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Odin
Type: Melee
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Tyrannical lord of the Yarhi who cleaves his opponents in two.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10
Odins got great well rounded stats in all areas except Mind, which
is still high.He only has one attack: Zantetsuken, which deals
damage to multiple foes. Aside from that, he's lacking it in the
spells catigory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mateus
Type: Flying
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: The corrupt.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10

Mateus is great! She has terrific mind, Great Strength, Magic, and
speed, as well as formidable Stamina. Her flash freeze does damage
in a straight line, while her Blizzaja deals massive ice damage to
multiple foes. Her speed and attack speed is very good.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shiva
Type: Ranged
Nature: Water
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Info: Alluring Empress of Ice.Blizzards whirl and rage at her command.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9.5/10
Woah dude, Shiva's gotten good! She's stronger than ever, with very
high Magic, Stanima, Mind, and Speed. Her magic attack is very high,
and her normal attack, triple slap, deals three hits of wtaer damage
to one foe. More impressive is her Diamond Dust. It does massive ice
damage in a Area and inflicts stop! She used to be so weak, but
now... She can really hurt, easy to get too! Don't be ashamed to use
her, as she's remarkably good. I used her for over half the game!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ultima
Type: Ranged/Healing
Nature: Holy
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: High Seraph, bringer of life and death.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9.5/10

She may be healing, but don't turn your back on her yet! She's very
useful since she can comand a whole group, heal them AND attack with
her powerful Eschaton! Eschaton deals massive damage leading in a
straight line. Also, her healing move isn't cure, but Revitalize,
which removes debuffs as well. She can really kick your butt at
a high level.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ramuh
Type: Flying
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Archon of Storms, foes fall before him as wheat before the
      scythe.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10
Ramuh has high HP, Magic, Stamina, Mind, and Speed. His normal
attack just deals lightning damage, but his Judgement Bolt, wow,
Silence and lightning damage to all foes in range. He got great
stats, great attacks, well, what more do you want (Hint: Think Shiva)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Levithan
Type: Melee
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: Ancient wyrm of the deeps, said to swallow tidal waves entire.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10

Levithan is awesome. He got Massive Stamina and mind. His Barracuda
Dive deals nice damage to surrounding foes. His Tidal Wave deals
MAJOR water damage to multiple foes. And the name Levithan is kinda
cool!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Famfrit
Type: Ranged
Nature: Water
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: Water
Info: Darkening Cloud who blots out the heavens.
Cost: 22
Personal Rating: 9/10
All of Famfrits stats are good, except for his speed which is still
very high. Briny Cannonade deals water damage to one foe and is his
Basic Attack. Tsunami is better. It deals heavy water damage in a
line.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tiamat
Type: Ranged
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: Bound by the ring on its neck, this mighty wyrm breaths
      lightning arcs.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 8.5/10

Tiamat is more defensive. The reason for that is because he has such
high stamina and defense as well as his special attack being Mighty
Guard, which cats protect and shell on all allies in range. His
normal attack, Plasma Storm deals lightning damage to all foes in
range.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shemhazai
Type: Melee
Nature: Lightning
Weakness: Earth
Resistance: Lightning
Info: His wispers echo between lightnings flash and thunders crash.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10
Shemhazai is some-what powerful. His (In Final Fantasy XII on the
PS2 Shemhazai was a female) speed is his main asset, and his Mind
and Stamina are Fantastic too. Soul Purge deals lightning damage in
a straight line, and Thundaja deals Massive Lightning damage to all
foes in range.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chaos
Type: Flying
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Walker of the Wheel who writes his foes fate in flame.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10

His stats are very much balanced, though his speed and magic are by
far the highest. His QuadraStrike is very useful, since it does four
successful hits. His flare isn't that much better, but it takes less
time to charge between uses.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ifrit
Type: Melee
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Where walks the lord of flame, all is cider and ash.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9.5/10
Ifrit has high stats in just about everything, mind and Magic Defense
is the exception. He has a bushload of HP, and his burning strike
Basic attack is very useful since it does 2 hits. His Hellfire is
really useful when he's surrounded because it does area damage
centered on him. Hellfire also inflicts slow. Ifrit and Shiva are
the best choices early in the game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Belias
Type: Ranged
Nature: Fire
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fire
Info: Gigas that strikes with smoldering brimstone.
Cost: 20
Personal Rating: 9/10

Belias has lower HP than he should have, but he has Massive Magic,
great strength, Mind, and Stamina. His painfalre deals heavy damage
to one foe, and his Firaja deals Heavy fire damage to all foes in
range. He's not bad, but I think I perfer Ifrit and Shiva.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bahumat
Type: Flying
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Wyrm Tyrant that soars on the wings of night.
Cost: 25
Personal Rating: 10/10
Bahumat ROCKS! He got terrific stats in everything, is well
balanced, and no weakness. He got Massive HP, A powerful normal
attack, Bahumat Claw, which deals damage to all foes in range.
However, his biggets feature is... *Drum Roll* ...MEGAFLARE!
Megaflare deals Massive Damage and inflicts disable to all foes in
range. Bahumat is great and no element has its uses. Not to mention
he looks the coolest!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gilgamesh
Type: Melee
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: The greatest swordsman in all of Ivalice...or so he says.
Cost: 22
Personal Rating: 10/10

Very strong and well rounded. Has very high stats in everything,
though his attack speed is somewhat low. He's plain cool! His
primary attack, Slice Thrice, hits the foe with three successful
hits and is very powerful. His other attack is Masamune, which deals
heavy damage to one foe while ignoring their defense. Because
Masamune ignors defense, it acts like the foe had 0 defense, which
allows very high damage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zodiark
Type: Ranged
Nature: -
Weakness: -
Resistance: -
Info: Keeper of the precepts, before whom the mighty are rendered
      weak.
Cost: 30
Personal Rating: 10/10
And I thought Bahumat rocked... This if I pit this guy against
Bahumat, it would be absolute PAWNAGE!(For Bahumat) Thats how
powerful Zodiark is. He has massive stats in all catigories except
speed, which isn't the worst, but not at all good. His normal attack
is Graviga, which deals damage based on the targets current HP to
all foes in range. His best attack though is Final Eclipse, which
does massive non-elemental damage to all foes in range.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HOW TO OBTAIN ESPER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section explains how to obtain the rank three espers not already
on the Ring of Pacts or blocked off with a stone on the Ring of
Pacts.
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------o
|Gilgamesh  |Complete the 'Battle On Big Bridge' side mission.The    |
|           |mission, available after completing chapter 9, pits you |
|           |against Gilgamesh and Enkidu. The thing is, Enkidu will |
|           |continue to spwan until there is eight of them. If you  |
|           |kill one, another will spawn soon. So basically, the    |
|           |only way to win this is to attack Gilgamesh right off   |
|           |the bat and kill him BEFORE all eight Enkidu spawn. The |
|           |Enkidu can cause disable.                               |
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------o
|Zodiark    |Complete the 'Keeper of the Precepts' side mission. The |
|           |mission pits you against Zodiark and a number of other  |
|           |monsters which can spawn in the summoning gates. Most   |
|           |monsters are level 93-95. It's possible to beat this at |
|           |level 60, (That's what I did) though you may want to    |
|           |wait until you are level 70-80. Whipe out as many foes  |
|           |as you can, and capture as many summoning gates as      |
|           |possible. One thing you can do is capture all the       |
|           |summoning gates, then use the two on each side as well  |
|           |as the one in the center. If you do that, you can       |
|           |attack Zodiark from the sides AND the front. Just go    |
|           |for Zodiark. Not the other foes on his sides.           |
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------o
|Bahumat    |Complete the 'Wings of Midnight' side mission. You will |
|           |have to fight a LOT of Rank III espers before Bahumat   |
|           |appears. When Bahumat does appear, attack him and       |
|           |defeat him to complete the mission. Hard, but not as    |
|           |hard as Zodiark.                                        |
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------|
|Famfrit    |Complete the 'Darkening Clouds Gather' Side Mission.    |
|           |It is very simple compared to any of the above missions.|
|           |Work your way around to Famfrit, killing all you see.   |
|           |When you reach Famfrit, kill the surrounding enemies    |
|           |first, then focus on Famfrit. DON'T put your people in  |
|           |a straight line. Instead, surround him.                 |
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------o
|Zalera     |Complete the 'Dance of Dead' side mission. Just repel   |
|           |the foes and reach the boss. The foes are endless, so   |
|           |don't try to 'kill all the foes first' kill a bunch in  |
|           |the way, then go after the boss and strike him down.    |
o-----------o--------------------------------------------------------o
|Levithan   |Complete the 'Serpents Rage' Side Mission. Like Famfrit |
|           |work your way around to him, killing all you see. When  |
|           |you reach Levithan, kill the surrounding enemies first, |
|           |then focus on Levithan. Like Famfrit, don't put your    |
|           |people in a straight line. Instead, surround him.       |
