Hello. My username here on gamefaqs.com is KingDraken. I have been a long 
time fan of the Crystal Chronicles sub-series and have logged in about 140 
hours playing this game. It has definatly held my interest and is most likely
the best fourty dollars I've ever spent.

That being said this guide is aimed at people who have already finished the 
game, and want to blast through it fast. Some of the dungeons can be a real 
beating and it can be quite boring. On wi-fi many people are still unaware 
that holy breaks the white orbs just as well as the books spells. That's why 
I created this guide to get the information out there so everyone can find 
even more enjoyment. This will also help those who are going back to lower
difficulties since going through dungeons faster means getting those items
you missed faster.

This guide is not intended for first time players even though they too can 
benefit from many of the tricks listed here. Always keep in your mind this 
is NOT the way the developers intended you to play. Please refer to another 
guide if you are just starting out.

---Basically this guide reads like you're going through the stage. 

---The number of players said in the parenthesis is the minimum number of 
people needed for the trick. 

---The parenthesis next to the ***BOSS*** symbol is the bosses name. 

---The first room you are in is always called room 1 and so on. 

---When I say enemies can be avoided, this often means they don't need to be 
defeated to beat the room, but many times it's convenient to kill some to 
make doing the puzzle easier to advance into the next area. 

--If you don't see a room mentioned in this guide, it means I do not have a 
trick to beating it. If you have one, please contact me about it! 

---So use ctrl+f and look for a section to start shaving time.

GENERAL TECHNIQUES.........................................................GEN

Money Dropping:
What this is is stacking money up by repetedly dropping one gold at a time. 
This will make the money start to pile up in a nice stack allowing you to jump
on on top and reach higher places. Great for non selkies to try some of the 
selkie only tricks.

Placing Barrels:
When you pick up a barrel you have the option to just place it by not holding 
a drection when you hit the throw/pickup button. This will allow you to take 
barrels and other items around with you if your only looking for a little
height. 

Haste:
The most useless magic in the game does have a purpose. You can get longer 
jumps thanks to this. Haste is cast by using thunder+raise.

Proper Head Standing:
Being picked up and standing on a head is very different. Head standing 
allows selkies to double jump while still carrying cargo. All you have to do 
is just land on someones head. Useful if wi-fi lag gets to be so tedius you
rather just do the platforming one time, or to reach chests without the use
of a magic pot, brick, ect.

Charge Canceling:
Basically you have to hit your attack button and hold it more a moment
and release. Then you do this again in a sort of rhythm. With practice you 
can attack much faster then with regular combos.

Scratch the [] series scratch card:
The easiest and least rare scratch card in the game. They typically fall
out of enemies. Make sure to scratch these whenever possible because with
them, any trick a double jump is needed, now any race can do. Very useful.

Using your charge attack:
Clavats, lilties and selkies can all use their charge attack to move faster.
By just charging the attack, you guy will act as if haste was cast on him 
when you move around. This can cut travel time by a second or two overall 
in each dungeon but its just something you may want to be aware of since 
it can make dodging spell rings a whole lot easier. Further, elementals 
(things that look like big headed blobs ussually a color depending on their 
attribute) can be taken out with a charge attack just as easily as they can 
a spell ring allowing you to kill them while mobile.

Death Abuse:
Ever have problems platforming that one section of gate or you have a wi-fi
partner that just can't seem to stop dying? Well this game allows you to
advance to other areas now regardless if they are standing next to the door
with you or not! This means that say the big one-eye in the tower when your
crossing using the magic switch platform, instead of jumping down with them to
redo the puzzle, have that guy die and do the puzzle yourself. When your both
safetly in the next room, then revive.

---Enemies in room one can be totally avoided. After you beat forest 1 there 
is a length of time where you can return to the crystal cores location by 
using the door you came out of in area one. You can also show her multiple
cores so you don't have to keep traveling back here every time you find a 
fragment. (1 player+)

---Only the three bears in room two need to be killed near the door. 
(1 player+)

After knocking his helmet off, get him in his "exhausted" animation (You can 
tell because he will be on one knee) and freeze him to get in just a few more 
hits. Also, a good way to get hits in on his head is to wait for him to punch 
the ground then use the makeshift platform to assault his cranium.

---You can avoid all enemies in rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 4 revisited.

No matter what it seems that the first thing the boss is weak to is blizzard. 
Cast a blizzard and then cast a fire. He will fall down allowing an even 
faster kill.

---You Can avoid all enemies in room 1 and 2 (1 player+)

---Room 3 you can have a selkie jump on your head and up to the switch to 
activate it. Or, freeze the ice and jump on each others heads. If your a 
selkie just double jump after freezing. (2 players or 1 Selkie)

---Room 4 you only need to kill the initial enemies. (1 player+)

---You can avoid all enemies in rooms 5 and 6. (1 player+)

---Only need to blow up the door with the powder keg in room 1. Can avoid all

---If your a pacifist all you need to do is grab the powder kegs off the 
enemies heads. Gravity works well on bats (Blizzard+Raise). (1 player+)

---You can avoid all enemies in room 5. (1 player+)

Casting blizzard as he is about to get up can afford you some extra hits. 
Remember to hit him with the water to douse his fire.

---Cast holy (cure + raise) on both white switches. Don't even bother dropping

---Room 7 Push the bookshelf over as normal, but instead use it as a bridge to
cast holy (cure+raise). (1 player+)

---You can avoid all enemies till the boss door now. (1 player+)

Try and get one of the golems to blow up on him. That stuns him for a bit. 
Blizzard will also work for a few moments. Use charge canceling to hit him 
multiple times and when he starts actually casting, hold down the charge all
the way to move around and avoid his ring. When he lets it go come back to him
and unleash your move getting in some heavier damage.

--Room 1 there are no enemies and rooms 2, 3, 4, and 3 again you can avoid all 
enemies. (1 player+)

---Room 5 and 6 you can avoid all enemies. (1 player+)

---Room 7 if you have a selkie in your party they can stand on your head and 
double jump to the other side and throw the boxes up there down for you to  
get up as well. (2 players+, one must be selkie)

---Room 9 you can avoid all enemies just grab the crystal off of their head.

Gravity can be your friend here (Blizzard+raise). Make sure to charge cancel 
instead of stomping for faster damage. Aim for the wings the entire time. You 
get the most damage that way and even more when the protectors fall off.

---If you know about where the switch is already, just push the block over and 
unfreeze. (1 player+)

---Take the zip line and kill the enemies at the bottom, you don't have to 
kill the two ice bombs or the one-eye. (1 player+)

---In room 4 get the key and place it right underneath the switch on the still 
frozen ice. Beat the pole till you hear the sound something worked, and then 
unfreeze. The key will place itself. (1 player+)

---Room 6 you dont need to use the zip line to land on that platform, just 
take the stairs towards the top of the map for an easier time. (1 player+)

---Room 8 you can avoid all enemies, and if you already know where the switch
is, just push them on there and unfreeze. (1 player+)

Just use the normal strategy of waiting for him to get into the water and 
freezing the pot on the right to throw in there. His weak spot is his belly.

---Lilties, selkies, and yukes can hurt the chimera in room 4 with their 
respective smash attacks. In turn you can cast holy(cure+raise) as well. 
(1 player+)

---In room 6, if you have more then yourself, you can pull down the switch 
while your partner casts holy(cure+raise). (2 players+)

---Also in room 6 if your playing a selkie you can use the treasure chests on
the bottom of this room to jump up and reach the next area without pushing 
the bookcase. (1 player+, must have one selkie)

the trap to jump back up. You do not have to kill any enemies in this room

---In room 8 you can go up the stairs and remove the crystal to lower the 
spikes.[Doesn't really save time as makes the battle more managable].

---If you want, in room 1, you can simply step on the switch and cast firaga 
to light it by stacking it underneath the candle to avoid clearing the magic 
egg. (1 player+)

---In room 2, and have a party of three with two selkies, those two selkies 
and be lifted up onto the ledges above and double jump over to the blizzard 
switches. Then everyone can start casting blizzard. 
(3 players+ and 2 must be selkies)

---If only a party of two and one selkie in room 2, you have to complete a 
wing first. Then you can do that for one of the switches while the other 
person grabs the egg. You can avoid all enemies in this room as well.
(2 players+, one must be selkie)

---In the right wing, you can pull the first block you see on top of your 
own head. Just jump into it when you fall down the hole. Then you can run 
this block over the barrier, and proceed to place it in the hole. 
(1 player+)

---In both the right and left wings, selkies can double jump them and their 
entire party up to the ledge without the pot by first jumping on the 
tombstones near the ledges. (1 player+, MUST be selkie)

---You can avoid all enemies in the left wing. (1 player+)

---You can avoid all enemies in room 5 and 6. (1 player+)

---In room 7, if you have two players grab the top left verticle coffin 
and proceed to move it towards the verticle hole with the button that 
moves the platform. Have someone stand on that button, untill the coffin 
is on their head.Now the person under the coffin simply has to move off of
it for the coffin to be pushed right in. Alternativly, you can have someone
dive into the water and cast the highest level clear spell you can by 
stacking them on the person in the water. With luck the thing will fall off
their head. You can avoid all enemies in this room. (2 players+)

---You can avoid all enemies in room 8. (1 player+)

---In room 9 with a party of two, you can grab one person and throw them 
onto one of the candles. Then unfill the water, and move the coffin down 
below next to the other one for an easy jump. With a selkie you can just 
double jump overto the other one. With three people it's as simple as just
throwing the two up onto the candles. 
(2 players+)

I like to alernate between casting clear and cure on this boss to remove her 
spectral status because of her nasty way making you poisoned. When she does 
her bum rush, be sure to use charge canceling on the spot behind her head and 
not her head.

---When you revist room 4, with two players on can stand on the switch while 
the other jumps up to grab it without the box. (2 players+)

---In room 7 with a party of two selkies you can double jump off of each 
others heads to grab the egg. (2 players+, 2 must be selkie)

---In room 7 with 3 players you can ignore the egg by just casting thunder 
yourselves on an individual thunder switch. (3 players+)

---In room 8 with 2 players you do not need to kill any enemies, just have 
one person do the ussual jumping down the cliff and the other remain on a 
switch. (2 players+)

---You can avoid all enemies in room 9, room 3 revisted and room 4 again.
(1 player+)

##############################################################################
Do not jump on top of this boss when it's weakness is revealed by knocking him 
offthe wall when he gets up on there. Instead just keep using your weapon in 
the water since it damages faster.

ICE MOUNTAIN 3.............................................................IM3

---All the same tricks apply but if you go the ice mountain 2 way you can move
to the area where ice mountain 1 ziplines down. As a selkie you can double 
jump up towards the area above and land on the ledge with the two ice flans 
and ice elementals. This skips the majority of the dungeon. 
(1 player+, one MUST be selkie)

---You can avoid all enemies in rooms 1, 2 and 3. (1 player+)

---In room three with more then one person, the others can wait on the very 
last tower and have it carry them up as well. (2 players+)

---In room and you are a selkie carry the barrel over to the final tower, 
proceed to raise the towers, and use the barrel to double jump on top of it. 
(1 player+, selkie only)

---You can avoid all enemies in rooms 4 and 5. (1 player+)

---In room 5 a selkie with haste can clear the gap and hit the switch across
the way. You can then skip the first part of room 6. You can also have a 
partner jump and throw the selkie across if you can't get the timing down.
(1 player+, must be selkie)

---In room 6, if playing with a selkie and a partner, A selkie can avoid 
using the pot to obtain the blue key by getting a boost jump from the said 
partner. (2 players+ one must be selkie)

---You can avoid all enemies in room 7. (1 player+)

---In room 9, with a party of 3 and one selkie, or a party of two selkies, 
go towards the ledge that you ususally have to cross with the dropping 
platforms. Use some timing and jump off of each others heads to have that 
person land on the platform above. Have the rest of the party purposely 
kill themselves so they all move on when the selkie goes through the boss 
door. You can avoid all enemies in this room. 
(2 players+ two selkies, or 3 players+ one must be selkie)

---You can avoid all enemies when you revist room 7. (1 player+)

---When you revisit room 9 be sure to kill the enemies to get the elevator 
to appear. Selkies have this part easy so if you are selkie with party 
members do your best to get to the second set of plates. Purposely make one 
of these fall down. Then drop a peice of gold on the ground and hop on it.
Thanks to the way items work in this game, everyone standing on the gold or 
your head will be lifted up along with the plate. 
(1 player+, selkie makes it easier)

***BOSS***(Death Machine Type Omega and Type Sigma).....................BOSSXI

The best bet is to kill the silver robot first as the golden one doesn't have 
too many nasty attacks. Blizzard the silver robot then jump on top of the 
golden one. You can now aim the robot for a few seconds. Shoot his laser by 
pressing the attack button and the other robot will go into his prone 
animation where you need to hit him a few more times to get him into his 
stunned one. When the silver one does die you can hit it again with the laser
and the fallen robot will repel this back onto the golden one knocking it over
as well. Both have weak points on their abdomen.

---In room 2, selkies can reach the second level without blowing up the block
by double jumping onto the ledge above using the blocks. 
(1 player+, selkies only.)

---In room 2, after you freeze the water, place another frozen pot on top of
the lit fire pot. After pushing your block over, you can throw the tower of 
pots into the water, making the block sink and the water freeze all at once. 
(1 player+)

---You can avoid all enemies in rooms 4 and 5. (1 player+)

---When you revist area 4, the order always goes 3,1,4,2 when you push in 
the rods. (1 player+)

---Revisiting room 5 you can avoid the big one eye by moving the platform up 
first. You can also avoid all the enemies in this room again. (1 player+)

Having the golems explode on him again makes him stunned for a few moments. 
You can add even more down time to him by freezing him. Casting barrier
(fire+clear) will let you be able to take that area spell easily where the 
large circle comes and inflicts curse. Charge canceling is always your friend 
and if you think he's going to cast a spell on you, use the haste effect that
clavats lilties and selkies get for charging their focus attacks and move out
of the way and back in when its done.

You can cast blizzard to give yourself a few moments of free attacking time. 
The trick is to know where the arms are going to pop up. This boss can be 
really random. Sometimes he doesn't stop spawning the arms and other times you 
can defeat him before he even summons one. If you get as far as him merging, 
and if you manage to break it apart again, he will be stunned for a while.

How to access?
When you get admitance to Library 3, kill all the dark elementals and a portal 
will show up. Step into the portal and choose a book. You need to beat a boss 
to unlock the next boss book

The first boss will lodge his tail in the ground if you get on his back, wait 
for him to charge up, and then dodge his attack. You can hit him a few time 
while the tail is in the ground to rack up the damage. You can cast blizzard 
on him to keep him there for a while.

***BOSS***(Baby Behemoth).................................................ROF2
##############################################################################

The second boss Behemoth, is weak to quake (fire+raise). If you cast it on 
him he will tumble over revealing the crystal on his chest.

The flying bird is easy enough but you can cast gravity(blizzard+raise) to 
bring it down to earth. The weakpoint is on his head.

The flower monster can be tackled a few ways. First, get rid of the tenticles 
to save yourself the hassel. You can then wait for his mouth to open naturally
or cast gravity (blizzard+raise). Now all you have to do is get on and whack 
the crystal that gets explosed. The boss will do a really damaging spin move 
every so often, so look closely for the key tells like him winding up.

***BOSS***(Dragon)........................................................ROF5
##############################################################################

The boss you fight in the volcano which the game refers to as dragon is weak 
to blizzard. Freeze him then run around to his tail and whack on it. If you 
manage to do a substantial amount of damage to it, he will get exhausted, 
continue to whack on his tail. Two lilties can use their smash attacks(laser) 
to keep the boss down infinitly. All they have to do is have one shoot the 
laser through his face at the tail, and the other at this tail towards his 
face. Selkies have something similiar but all they need to do is bow smash 
their tail once, and then run around and do it again.

Like all undead monsters you can cast clear or cure to remove her spectral 
status. Her weak point is on her chest, and she sits just too high for 
anything but jumping attacks. She has low hp compared to the other ring of 
fates bosses and memorizing her pattern is easy thanks to her long casting 
times.

!Oblivion_Soul adds:
With a max stat clavat or yuke, after clearing her spectral status, cast
holyga on her(cure+cure+raise+raise) about 3 times to spell her dimise. This
Works well on very hard.

***BOSS***(Cu Chaspel)....................................................ROF7

The boss I refer to as doppleganger is weak to blizzard. If you freeze him you 
will have a long time to just beat him up. After he gets unfrozen he has an 
unnaturally long magic resist (indicated by the blue fire on his head 
forever), so your going to need to focus your efforts on damaging the real 
one when frozen.

***BOSS***(Great Galdes and Crystal Guards)...............................ROF8
##############################################################################

Galdes is a pain anyway you look at it. The minions will keep endlessly 
respawning almost as soon as you kill them. However, you will need to kill 
them in order for their spell damage not to completely overwhelm you. His 
weakpoints are the tiny spikes that are loitered around his base. Make sure 
you pay attention to things like if your inflicted with gravity. If you 
happen to fall down that little ledge on the bottom of the screen with 
gravity, you will get hit with multiple spells all at once. After destroying 
all the base spikes, his chest will open up showing yet another weak point. 
Just jump on the base and start hitting. This battle is much more managable 
with an actual party and I find it tough to solo.
