Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is the sequel to the Slime MoriMori game on
the Gameboy Advance. This one was never released in USA or Europe. Well,
Rocket Slime is a game that plays similar to the 2D Zelda games from Flagship
and Nintendo, but it is much cuter, and looks much better. In this game, you
will have to save all your slimy friends from the evil Plob, which is a gang
of bad guys. There will be tank battles, wielding of swords, and crashing into
enemies. The most important thing however, is collecting items and enemies.
The items can be used as ammunition in your tanks during battles. Rocket,
which is the slime you control, does not have very many moves, but his
favorite is the Elasto Blast, which sends him fast forward, and makes him able
to break various stuff. I really don't have much to say, besides the two
(hopefully) facts: You will enjoy this walkthrough, as well as the brilliant
game it is written for. Go for broke!

Frequently Asked Questions [RockFaq]
==============================================================================

Q: How do I save in this game?
A: Talk to the slime in the church in Boingburg. There is only one savefile.

Q: Can my friend also have a savegame on my cart?
A: I said no.

Q: I keep seeing flashes from other areas when the screen goes black.
A: Everyone does. This isn't really a problem, though.

Q: Is this game a part of the main Dragon Quest series?
A: No, it is a spin-off developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS.

Q: Has this game been released in Europe?
A: At the time of writing this no, and there are no plans at the momet.

Q: How do I pick up items and enemies?
A: Elasto Blast into them, and make them land on top of you.

Q: I can't pick up enemies made of steel! They look like soldiers.
A: Elasto Blast into their back.

Q: How do I bring stuff back to town?
A: Throw them onto the train wagons in the various levels.

Q: Can I change the order of my carried items?
A: Yes, use the R button.

Q: How many items can I carry at once?
A: Three.

Q: What is up with the numbered items like arrows and bullets?
A: During tank battles, combine 3 equally numbered items to get one better
   item.

Q: I want more monsters!
A: Backtrack to the earlier levels and collect them, then.

Q: Why do I have to collect many monsters?
A: 30 earns you a crewmember, 50 a silver statue, 100 a golden statue in the
museum. Silver statues do not do anything special, only for
pleasure, while all golden ones unlock the final Tank Masters battles.
You can also unlock these battles by completing the main storyline.

Q: I can't get golems back to town!
A: Use Chimaera wings.

Q: How do I get more ammunition for my tank?
A: Throw items you find on the train wagons to take them back to the Garage.

Q: The boss I am fighting has 0 HP, but is not dead yet!
A: Go east out of your tank, and then over in the enemy tank. Elasto Blast all
the way east, and then finally through some blue beams, and then into the
   engine of the boss.

Q: How come you have much more HP than I seem to ever get?
A: Go to Ducktor's shop and talk to the slime behind the counter to upgrade
your tank's HP. Press RIGHT on the menu to browse betweeen upgrades.
Totally, it is possible to have 1500 HP.

Q: Can I replay the boss battles?
A: Yes, you can.

Q: Can I play as Slival's tank in Tank Masters?
A: Yeah, just beat him again after the main game. You do that in mountain
   krakatroda.

Q: How do I unlock Giggles Tank?
A: Talk to Meggan southwest of the museum - in a house. She will give it to
you in the North American version of the game.

Q: I can't get recipes number 35 and 37!
A: Beat the final boss again.

Q: What about recipe 38?
A: Win S-Rank in Tank Masters.

Q: How do I remove the numbered metal balls in town?
A: When you save slimes, the balls will go away. 10 slimes = remove 10st ball.

Q: Where do I find monster 'xxxxxxxxx'?
A: Check the monster section. I tell you where to find, and when to find.

Q: Where do I find slime 'xxxxxxxxxxxxx'?
A: Check the Slimes section. I tell you where to find them there.

Q: How can I use Download Play and Multi-Card Play?
A: After saving Flantenna, go to the Garage in town and talk to her.

Q: What are those bags with a'?' on them?
A: They randomly appear when you kill monsters by swords or blasts, and
   containg random items.

Q: So, you told me in what location to find the slimes, but I need details.
A: First use the Slime section to find the location, then press CTRL + F
and type in the Slime's name. Press enter until you see exactly where the
slime can be found (you will be taken to the slime's location as
   described in the walkthrough).

Q: Tell me about multiplayer. I demand that you tell me.
A: Demand all you want, I don't have friends that play games. Cool, yeah?

Q: I have something I think you NEED to add to this FAQ/Walkthrough.
A: Good, mail me about it. My mail can be found in the 'contact me' section.

Q: What version of the game did you play, snkupo?
A: I played the North American release of the game, but I live in Europe.

Q: This document seriously lacks information.
A: That might be, version 1.0 is the first 'complete' version of guide.

Q: I don't understand you chapter system?
A: My chapter system is something that I made so that this walkthrough would
not have to contain hundreds of sections. Instead, I list several locations
   under one chapter, see.

==============================================================================

Watch Rocket and his friends play with the Warrior Flute. A competition will
start, and here you will have to clean the field of leaves. Do this by using
the Elasto Blast. Elasto Blast is executed by holding A and the Directional
Pad in any direction you want to. When you let go, you will blast away. Once
all the leaves have been cleaned, watch the scene where Rocket plays the flute
and Big Daddy comes running in. After this, go south and try exiting the area.
The others will run before you, so make sure to follow them. Boingburg is now
attacked by the Plob, and Rocket is thrown away, mistaken for being a worm!
Rocket lands in Forewood Forest.

Slimes to find in this chapter: 7
----------------------------------
Swotsy, Stony, Mother Gloperior
Baron Blubba, Peewee, Bubbilly,
His Royal Wobbliness.

+ Forewood Forest

The flute pops out of Rocket's mouth. Go east and Elasto Blast into the
chest to find Swotsy (first). Blast into him again and catch him before he
hits the ground. Now, throw him to the brown spot on your left hand side.
Walk around a little and wait for a beep. This means that you have mail.
Press START and then L to check the mail you got. It is from Swotsy, as he
gives you a 'pompom'. You see, each time you save a slime, he or she will
send you a mail. Once you have read the mail, it will be confirmed that you
have saved the slime. Also, you can use the items that the slimes send by
pressing START then R and choose 'items'. There are many items, and all of
them work in different ways.

Walk north out of the screen, and you will see Babbo and Wiseguy, two members
of the Plob. After a little accident, they drop a chest. Save Stony (second)
from this chest. Do just as last time you saved a slime, but throw Stony onto
the railway wagon instead of going back. You will recieve a pompom by mail.
There are some coing in the jars south of the railway, so take them before
exiting to the right. Now, talk to the chest on the ledge above you, and start
walking north. Take the coins from a coin chest, and then walk right. Watch
the two Plobs again, and then head southwest to rescue the slime from the
chest you talked to earlier. This is Mother Gloperior (third). She will take
you back to town, and tell you that later, you can return to the forest, and
that if you want to bring items back to town, you can throw them onto one of
the railway wagons. Rocket calls this a day, and goes to sleep.

+ Boingburg

Next morning, walk downstairs and then head outside. You will learn that the
metal balls with numbers on can be moved by slimes. For example, one ball
saying 3 St can be moved by three saved slimes. The three slimes will now move
the ball. Head into the church now, and save your game by talking to Mother
Gloperior. Now is a good time to get to know the map function. At the upper
screen of your Nintendo DS is a map. By pressing the X-button, you can turn
the building names on and off. Also, on the map, all of the metal balls are
displayed. Remember to use the map whenever you look for something in town!
Now you can walk around town to check out some tagging, talk to the two other
slimes you saved, or walk into the palace to look at the vandalized picture
there. When you feel good inside, head east from the church, and back to
Forewood Forest!

+ Forewood Forest

There will be a Plob here. If you want to take him down, just Elasto Blast
into him a few times, and he will drop some gold. You can also carry these
enemies like with slimes, and throw them onto the railway wagon to take them
back to town for later. You should do this with both enemies and items. Well,
start by taking the first enemy to town by picking him up and throwing him
onto the wagon one screen north. There is also an apple to the east of the
first enemy, so bring that one as well. Now walk one screen north, and catch
the cat type enemy and throw it on the train. Remember to always throw lots of
stuff onto the train wagons!

Now go east to where you saved Mother Gloperior. Throw the red chests, as well
as the enemies onto the train. Remember that you can carry more than one thing
at once, and then exit the screen by going north. In here, collect the acorn
type enemy and the straw from behind all the jars and send them back to town,
before picking up the rockbomb from the upper left corner. Drop it near the
rocks close to the entrance, and save Baron Blubba (fourth) from inside. He
will send you a 'rockbomb'. Head to where you saved Baron Blubba, and go east
past the unreachable rope. In here, there is a lot of leaves on the ground.
You can clean them away by Elasto Blasting if you feel like, but the reward is
nothing other than gold. The two acorn type enemies can be taken down. In my
case, I found a bag with a '?' sign on when taking them down, but these bags
are random spawn. Well, blast into the pillar you can see, and jump down into
the well.

In the chest down here, there is a leaf that will refill your health. Now, go
east and try to lose the mole type enemies before picking up a rockbomb. Well,
use the bomb to destroy the wall further east, and then continue walking in
that direction, past the destroyed wall. Backtrack to get another bomb, and
take down a new wall, then head up using the rope. Up here, there is a portal
that you can use to transfer to the beginning of the woods again. Check it
out, will you? There is also a chest containing some gold in the southern part
of the area, so do your thing, then blast into the lower left tree to find a
new well. Down here, save Peewee (fifth), and she will tell you that by
pressing R, you can re-arrange the stuff you carry. Bubbilly (sixth) can also
be saved down here. Peewee sends you a rockbomb and Bubbilly sends you one as
well. Now, head back upwards from where you entered this well, then head into
the blue metallish thing.

Refill your health here using the star platform, then head further north to
the gate. You will meet a talking tree named Bough Beater. Just blast into him
while he is not blinking. Dying here is hard, believe me. Now go north and
save His Royal Wobbliness (seventh). Now, you will have to carry this king
slime on your back. Watch the shadows of the bombs coming at you from above,
and try not to be where they land. Once you have gotten to town, the bad guys
go away. Now we are at the end of the first chapter, and you should have SEVEN
slimes saved. As you can see, there are slimes left in Forewood still, but you
can not save them yet - it is impossible at this moment.

==============================================================================
On A Mission For The King [RoWa002]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 5
----------------------------------
Namby, Perry, Bud, Gootrude, Flantenna

+ Boingburg

Wake up, and head to the castle and talk with the king. After some talk, he
gives you a seed of life, which rises your total health by one point. Jolly
good! Go to the church, save your game, and then head behind the huge tree to
find another seed of life. This tree is of course inside the church as well.
Now you will see that all of the enemies that you brought back using the train
wagons are in town, and they are nice. Feel free to chat with them if you want
to. Now, head east out of town and get to Tootinschleiman's Tomb. This is one
point east from the Forest on the map.

+ Tootinschleiman's Tomb

Now, once you get to Tootinschleiman's Tomb, walk up the stairs and then exit
the screen north. Blast into the bullet in the sand and throw it into the
cannon. Now Namby (first) will be saved if you open the chest that fell down.
With Namy on your back, head northwest and throw her onto the train to
recieve a bombshell in a letter. Now, there is a Toriyama-like enemy here as
well as some pillars. Throw them all onto the train. Now, head northeast,
blast to find a bullet and throw it into the cannon. This will make it
possible to save Perry (second) for a Rockbomb. Head north to the next area
now.

Watch the Plob get trapped below some sand and then talk to him. He will
explain that you need to help with by shooting at all the sand using the
cannon to your right. However, you will have to go a long way to get to the
cannon. Well, walk northwest to save Bud (third). Go northeast to throw him
onto a train, and do not forget to throw on some pillars and enemies as well.
Oh yeah, Bud sends you a wooden arrow as a reward for saving him. Now go out
of the screen east. Throw the enemies here on the train, blast the pillars for
a chest with some gold, and then get into the water in the southern part of
the room. At the other side, there is a slime named Gootrude (fourth) waiting
to be saved. Walk south and clear the area of all the blocks. Now, do Elasto
Blasts into the side of the cannon to push it all the way to the end of the
tracks. Once there, throw a bullet from the ground into it to break a sand
statue. Walk past the broken down sand statue now, and to a new area.

Throw Gootrude onto the train to the north, and let some enemies join her
along the way. She then sends you an obelisk. In the southwest part of this
room, there is a bullet that you need, as well as a possible spawn for the
mimic enemy. Pick up the bullet and go back northwest. Exit the room by going
further west and throw the bullet into the cannon. Now you can save the Plob
that was trapped in the sand! Well, do that, dummy. Talk to him, and learn
about his name being Ducktor Cid. Let him fix the warrior flute, and watch the
huge tank-like thing rise. Ducktor now finds a letter that says he's fired
from the Plob. Walk into the tank, and let Ducktor join you. As you can now
head, Ducktor was german! Or at least, that is what it sounds like. The guys
at Square-Enix sure are sick people. Now, Ducktor tells you to follow him.

+ Inside The Tank

Follow Ducktor into the room north from the entrance of the tank, and watch
the upper screen to see the 'slime marker' which shows you that you are
currently inside a tank. A rock will fall down, and Ducktor will throw it into
the upper cannon. Repeat this, and then find out that there are no more rocks
coming for you to throw. Now, walk south into the first room, and pick up
three rocks. Throw them all into the cannons, and then get more stones until
the mountain you are shooting at is dead meat. Or rock. There is also a bullet
down in the first tank room, and it will deal more damage than the rocks.

+ Boingburg

Ducktor has now made his way to town, and thinks he will have a good time
staying here. Now, tell the king about the Schleiman Tank. Now, the 10St
ball from outside of your house will be gone, so you can go collect the
Seed of Life there. Now you can also talk to Perry near the eastern exit to
play Gold Coast Surfari. The thing here, is to use the directional pad to
guide Rocket around and collect coins. Get over 1800 and you will be
rewarded with some Orichalum. North of churck, Ducktor had now set up a
Garage but there is nothing there to buy at the moment, so don't spend time
there. Now, go to the church, and save your game. After having saved, head
east out of town again.

Once outside of town, you will meet the Platypanzer. Since you have already
been a good girl and saved, you won't need to head back to the church as
Ducktor tells you. Say that you want to call for the Schleiman Tank to help
you in the battle against the Plob.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Platypanzer ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allright, this is your first real tank battle. You should look forward to
this. Start by looking at the upper screen, where you can see your tank,
which is the Schleiman Tank, and the Plob's tank, which is named
Platypanzer. The guns on the oponent do heavy damage, so watch out. A baisc
rule is that if the shots you fire hits the enemies shots, they will be
wiped out. Remember that you have two cannons; the upper one which fires
upwards like artillery, and the lower one which fires straight forward, but
a little faster. Now, you do not really have to care to much about this
during this first battle, but if you look at the upper screen and see
projectiles coming at you from above, you can use your upper cannon to shoot
down the incoming projectiles. The same goes for the lower cannon. As
earlier, go grab bullets and boulders from the first room in the tank. Throw
them into the cannons, and do this until the Platypanzer has zero health
left. When this happens, get out of the Schleiman Tank by either jumping
into one of the cannons, or running out the front door by going east. Get
inside the Platypanzer, and go east through some energy beams, and then
Elasto Blast into the engine found at the eastern part of the enemy tank.
Now, this tank is done for! Congratulations.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, a chest with Flantenna (fifth) will appear. Save her. She tells you that
she knows Hooly has been trapped in Tootinschleiman's Tomb somewhere. After
this scene, you will be taken to Ducktor's shop. Here, you can load and unload
ammunition for your tank. Remember, the items that you bring back from various
places using the train, are the ones you can load as ammo onto the tank. This
means that you should always bring back nice stuff! If you don't fill up all
the 30 spaces, boulders will be added instead of other ammo. So, fill the tank
with the ammo you want to fill it with, but remember to bring some strong ammo
with you, for example a load of Bombshells and Obelisks. It is your choice.
Now when you are in control again, Flantenna has sent you an Oaken Club. By
watching the letter, you can also see where she lives. Talk to her in town to
set up a wireless Nintendo DS connection with a friend! For reference, you
should now have saved 12 Slimes in all.

Slimes to find in this chapter: 7
----------------------------------
Golia, Bunny, Poxie, Curate Rollo,
Winkles, Goodith, ??? aka Slimechanic

+ Tootinschleiman's Tomb

Now, head to Tootinschleiman's Tomb after having saved and fixed ammounition
into your tank. We want to save Hooly, remember. Once there, walk the only way
possible until you meet a green thing named Spine Les. Follow him west out of
the screen when he tells you he wants to fight. Keep going west until you see
a chest containing the slime Golia (first). Throw her onto the train, and you
will be given a wooden arrow. Elasto Blast over the water with the strong
current. In the next area, go to the right side of the sea and pick up the
bullet. Return to the cannon in this area, and throw the bullet into it. Now
you can Elasto Blast into the cannon's side to make it float to the other side
of the water. Go close to the cannon, pick up another bullet, and then after
having elasto blasted the cannon to the end of the tracks, you can shoot down
the sand statue to get to the chest behind it. Inside, Bunny (second) will be
waiting for you. Bunny gives you a wooden arrow when you go to put her on the
train in the area northwest.

In this area, there is another chest with a slime named Poxie (third), so save
her for another arrow. Allrighty, head south, then northeast and into a new
area above the slime that you saved by using the cannon. In here, talk to the
enemies for a new battle. With tanks, of course. Since you were a good girl
and remembered to tell Ducktor to load the tank full of ammo, just start the
battle right away!

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Platypanzer Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle is also very easy. The boss starts out with 60 Health Points.
Since the boss does not really have any strong ammo, and does not fire too
fast either, you will be fine by just firing like crazy using both cannons.
Remember, if you see on the upper screen that the boss shoots items at you,
you should counter these incoming projectiles with weak items like chests,
boulders and so on, and then fire the stronger ones, so those are the ones
to hit the enemy. Once the boss has zero HP, go break its engine.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your rewards here are Curate Rollo (fourth), which is a slime, and some
Girder. Now, the green guy named Spine Les will run southeast. Follow him into
a new area after having looked at the holy water in your mail from Curate
Rollo. Backtrack until you see all the cannons on the train wagons. First, use
the bullet on the ground to shoot down a sand statue in the western part of
the area. In here, there is a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Short Shooter ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys actually tell you what cannon they are going to use. This means
that you will get to know when and where to counter with weak items. After
countering with weak items, shoots lots of strong items at their tank. This
is all you need to know.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rewards here are Winkles (fifth) and a boomerang.
Once back in the area with the moving cannons, use the
bullet on the ground to blow up a sand statue in the eastern part of the room,
and then go to the next area. In here, save Goodith (sixth) and activate the
portal in the upper left corner. If there is no bullet on the ground,
backtrack to get one, and then throw it into the cannon after getting back. A
sand statue will break down, so go collect the Seed of Life behind it. Even
though there is a path leading north, break the other sand statue to your
right using the cannon, so that you can get here faster next time.
Now, take the north path to hear Spine Les call you a 'desperado', and hit you
all the way to a new tank battle. You can't even wait with this one once you
have started talking to Spine Les.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Purrsecutor ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The enemy has 100 HP this time around, so the battle will be a little
longer. It is not too hard though. However, when you see a 'baddy' running
towards your tank, be fast and meet him. Elasto Blast into him until he
dies. Three times should be about enough to kill him. Or, take him down.
Remember, there are kids (like me) playing this game, so we don't want any
violent talk. Depending on your ammo, it might take some time to win, but
you will easily get there by using both cannons; counter with weak items,
and try getting the strong ones to hit the enemy tank. When the enemy has
zero health, go Elasto Blast its engine.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spine Les will talk about 'Suffering salsa' and run away. Save
the '???' (seventh) slime from the chest now, since one has
appeared after you won the battle. Now, you will transport back
to town automatically, after having recieved the Oaken Club as a
reward. You should now have saved 19 slimes in all.

==============================================================================
Wow, I saved a '???' Slime [RoWa004]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 5
----------------------------------
Rustle Sprout, Startist, Curedon Bleu,
Prince Pigummy, Shelby, Hooly

+ Boingburg

Check your mail after waking up, to find out that the '???' slime you saved at
the end of last chapter is the one named 'Slimechanic'. Walk outside, and you
will meet Slimechanic. He will take you to the Garage and tell you that he can
upgrade your tanks' Health Points for a fee. You will be using items you have
brought back to town, plus some of the gold you have. There are several
options for upgrading. I upgraded until my tank had 200 HP, and so should you
do. Remember, this is your own choice, but I will recommend upgrading to 200
HP. Allright, talk to Ducktor if you want better ammo for your tank. I know I
wanted that after having collected items at the tombs in last chapter.

Now, head over to the church and talk to Curate Rollo to get to know about the
fact that she is selling healing Yggdrail items. Buy if you want to, but I
stayed away for now. Also note that you can only carry one of these items at
the same time. If you buy both, the first one will disappear.
Since you have saved over 15 slimes now, head to the king's castle and walk
into the door northwest in there. This is the kitchen. Talk to Goodith to hear
about a pie she baked. Not much more to do that talking about pie in here for
now, sorry. Head back to the tombs now.

+ Tootinschleiman's Tomb

Remember the room you fought the last tank battle. Go towards that room. In
the area east of it (impossible to not see this), Spine Les will be waiting.
He will run north when you enter, so follow him. Now, there is a cannon
withing your eyesight. Don't mind it yet. Instead go a little north, drop into
the current, and get onto the ground again when you see a new cannon and a
bullet. Elasto Blast the cannon north, and then throw the bullet into the
cannon. A sand statue to your west, on the other side of the water, will fall
down. Behind, the slime Rustle Sprout (first) can be saved. He will give you a
bonus bag and a wooden arrow in a letter after he's been delivered on a train
wagon.

Now, from the room where you saved Rustle Sprout, go east out of the screen
and into a new area. A chest with Startist (second) is here, so save him. He
will tell you to meet him at the castle when you are back in town, and then
send you a catnip on mail. Go north, and you will see an area with lots of
train wagons. In the northwestern part in this area, there are three chests
with slimes in. Open them all to save Curedon Bleu (third), Prince Pigummy
(fourth) and Shelby (fifth). Now throw them all onto one of the wagons, and
then heal at the pad in the middle of the area. The rewards on mail are
catnip, a Shuriken Recipe and girder.

Go two screens south and blast the two chests in the water for lots of gold.
In the southeastern part of the area, there is a teleporter, so activate it by
jumping into it. Now, before going out of the screen east, go south to blow up
a sand statue. Now, a battle will soon start, just talk to the enemies that
poke you by saying mean things. The black one for example, looks real badass!
Kicking his butt will be fun!

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Golemator ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The enemies say they will crush you with Iron Balls! Don't get scared. The
thing to do here, is to watch the blue projectiles with eyes that the
enemies shoot. You see, they tend to come at you VERY slowly, and more often
one following the other than alone. So, since they move so slow, ignore them
until they are getting real close. For example, if blue slow moving
projectiles come at you from the enemy's lower cannon, then shoot with ALL
the bullets you have using the upper cannon. There is no way the enemies can
counter those bullets that fast. Yep, that's your strategy this time around.
Just remember to counter the blue projectiles when they DO get close, since
they do a shitload of damage (26 HP). Also, at the end, when their motor has
gone down, bring with you a bullet, as you can throw it at all the beams and
lights you have to pass before getting to their motor. After having thrown,
you can pick the bullet up again. This is faster than Elasto Blasting.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

+ Boingburg

Now, you can save Hooly, your friend (sixth). You will also recieve Steel
Broadsword as a Bonus Prize. Oh yeah, you should have saved all the slimes
in the Tootinschleiman's Tomb level now. This means, there should be 25
slimes in town now. Back in town, you should listen to the king. He has a
new task for you, involving Mountain Krakatroda. Ducktor will come
screaming about the fact that he knows how to give you a crew for the tank
battles, with up to three partners. You can later talk to Ducktor when you
want to assign partners, and press start during battle to set up the team's
tactics. Now, in my case, I bought more Health upgrades for my tank, all
besides the last one on the list. This means I had 220 HP. This my friend,
marks the end of this chapter. See you in the next one!

==============================================================================
Backtracking To Forewood [RoWa005]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 9
----------------------------------
Speckles, Sheala, Jumpy, Plopstar,
Starthur, Earl Luminum, George,
Goozanna, Tickled Pink

+ Boingburg

Allright, since we did not bother setting up a team for the tank battle in
last chapter, this is what we're going to do now. You can check the slimes
section of this guide to find out what each slime avaliable to help you does.
Note that not all the slimes you've saved want, or can, fight in these
battles. Look for the 'Tank Battle' letters in the slimes section. You can
also bring enemies that you have brought 30 species of back to town. You can
find them in the museum northwest in town, but since the museum is not open
yet, you have to wait. Anyway, if you want to follow my pattern of play, you
can choose the crew members to be Hooly, Blubba and Swotsy. Also, remember to
fill your tank with better ammo, since you should have a nice bunch after
being at the tombs for so long.
Now, if you go to the castle and talk to Startist
behind the king, you can paint on the picture of his majesty. Do that for a
good laugh, and then head east out of town. Your destination is Forewood
Forest.

+ Forewood Forest

You will meet Wiseguy and his friend again, and they will run north out of the
screen. Follow them, and go north until you can see them again. They will drop
down the rope that you saw last time in these woods, so use it to gain ground
and get up to where you could not get earlier. Save Speckles (first) from the
chest up here, and backtrack to throw him onto a train wagon. He will tell you
that he would love to see your painting done with Startist in the castle, and
then send you some firewater. Head up the rope again, and go two screens
north and then east for a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Purrsecuter Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is your first battle with a crew. You will find out that battles are
much more entertaining now. For example, if you chose the same crew as I did
earlier, Blubbe will not only carry ammo, but also blow himself to counter
enemy fire. If something hits him, he won't even drop down at first. Hooly
us also a little racer! He is very fast, and does 15 damage if he hits the
enemy tank. You can also set him to do damage to their tank to slow them
down, using the START menu. This battle is very easy and very fun. Just keep
on attacking like crazy, no real tactics other than that are needed to win.
In my case, I had 180 HP left when the battle was over.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sheala (second) can now be saved. Well, you can't even avoid saving her now.
Go back, and then north. Climb up the rope to see the two Plob mess around and
use the train wagons. Jump onto a wagon yourself, and go all the way west.
Here, you see a chest. Open it to save Jumpy (third), and he will send you the
Steel Broadsword Recipe. Lower the rope as Jumpy told you, and then exit this
area southwest (not by using the rope, further west). Go west in the area with
the club, and lower the rope in the next one. Get onto the wago, and go west
rolling ontop of it. When you crash, pick up the bomb and blow up the wall you
crashed into. Now go north until you see a wagon with a chest. Elasto Blast it
as far east as you can, and then go back to the wall you blew up earlier. A
little south of there, jump onto a wagon to crash and save Plopstar (fourth).
Now, go up the rope again, and take the wagon until you crash into the chest
on the wagon you moved east earlier. This will save Starthur (fifth), and make
the wagons start going back to town, so throw the slimes onto one of them.
Starthur will send you the Iron Ball Recipe. Go two screens west for a tank
battle now.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Chrono Twigger ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have the same team as I chose, set Blubba and Swotsy to use the
cannons, and Hooly to infiltrate, ok? Since the enemy is an RPG tank (haha),
it will heal using some kind of potion pretty often. However, since Hooly is
infiltrating and destroying their machines, their rate of fire will slow
down. You should have no problem in killing them off. If you can't seem to
bring them down to zero HP because of all the healing, just head over to
their cannon room and kill their baddies by Elasto Blasting into them. This
will stop all the fire coming from them until the baddies are restored.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Earl Luminum (sixth) will now be saved, and you will get a medicinal herb. On
mail you will also be given an Iron Arrow 2 Recipe. Go back one screen east,
and lower the two ropes. Go down the western one to save George (seventh).
Backtrack to deliver him on a train wagon. Now, head down the eastern rope,
and you will see two enemies talking about a lock mechanism. Well, pick up the
nearby chest, as well as the enemy with the horn. You also need a fruit as you
can see on the statue. Backtrack one screen to find one, and then use the R
button to arrange them so that it looks like this starting lowest: Rocket,
Horned Enemy, Fruit, Chest, and then go onto the gray circle. Here, jump over
the lumber to save Goozanna (eight). Now, get into the portal and deliver her.
Go into the portal again, and find two horned enemies as well as a cat. Now,
backtrack all the way to the first area of the woods, and arrange the carried
enemies so that it looks like this from the bottom: Rocket, Horned Enemy, Cat,
Horned Enemy. Now, go all the way east in the first area to open the gate. Oh
yeah, just walk past the trees.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Carrot Top ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a fun battle. Set all your friends to use the cannons, and then
infiltrate the enemies tank. Destroy ALL of their machines to slow them
down, and kill baddies all the time. There is a switch in this tank, that
you should prevent the baddies from reaching, until you are sure that you
have the situation under control, and have lowered the enemy tank's HP lots.
When you feel confident, head back to your own tank and help with the
cannons. As usual, get into their engine room when their HP reaches 0. If
the enemies manage to press the button, prepare for lots of damage. They can
  only do it once though.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tickled Pink (ninth) will now appear, and you will find a BS-1 Crooze. You
should now have saved all the slimes in the Forest, so go back to town. You
will get Orichalum as a bonus item. Back in town, check if you can make the
selection of ammo for your tank better, and if possible, upgrade the tank's
health as well. That's it, really. Leave town, and head for Mountain
Krakatroda. You should have saved 34 slimes in all now.

==============================================================================
Off We Go To Mountain Krakatroda [RoWa006]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 15
----------------------------------------------------
Kworry, Mag Max, Itsy, Dragory, Crystal Chronicler,
Goopid, Dummy, Splatrick, Bitsy, Rocky, Flanpa,
Count Dragoola, Merc, Diablob, Lady Poly

+ Mountain Krakatroda

Walk one screen east, and throw the 1000t weight on the chest calling for
help. Inside, there is a slime named Kworry (first), so save him. He will send
you a thousandweight. Walk up the western stairs, and watch the ice blockade.
You can not get through here yet, but save the slime in the chest, and pick up
the boomerang. The slime is named Mag Max (second). Save him, and then exit
the screen east. In here, you will find a chimaera wing. Throw it onto the
nearby enemy to find out that it will take whatever it hits, back to town.
Throw the next wing onto the dragon-turtle enemy to take it back to town.
There is a chest nearby as well. Inside is a small slime named Itsy
(third). Bring the thousandweight to the next screen by going east, and throw
it onto the chest here. Dragory (fourth) will pop out, so pick him up and
throw the slimes onto the train wagon. You will get mail with shuriken and
firewater. Go one screen east again. In here, there are lots of those turtle-
dragon enemies. Throw a thousandweight to stun them, and then save Crystal
Chronicler (fifth) from the chest in the area. Later, you can visit the museum
in Boingburg if you want to. In this room, there is also a bomb, so pick it
up, and go back west. Walk up the stairs, and use the bomb to blow up the
blocking wall.

Elasto Blast into the red line, and you will bounce all the way to the other
side. Here, go a little south and make the rope drop down. Now, go back, and
exit the area north. Save Goopid (sixth) in the next area, and walk a little
north to see Wacko Quacko (wow, close to my own nick) and his friend trying to
get into the huge gates. When they leave east, you should head west. Bounce
into the first red line, and you will land on a big grassy platform. Now,
bounce into the southern red line so that you can get all the way to a new
platform where Dummy (seventh) has been trapped. Walk two screens east, and
use the wings here to send the two slimes back to town. Pick up a bomb to blow
away the wall here, and then walk up the stairs, then west to save another
slime and throw down the rope. The slime is named Splatrick (eight). You will
recieve Iron Arrow 2 Recipe from Dummy, Holy Water from Goopid, and oaken club
from Splatrick.

Walk one screen east to see Wacko and his friend talk. They will run away
after threatening you. In this room, save Bitsy (ninth). Walk back west, then
north and save Rocky (tenth). He will tell you that by rolling down a big
hill, you can do a rollerdash. You can not do this yet, so the pig here will
have to wait. Go to the room where you met Wacko again, and watch the statue.
Go pick up all the enemies and items you need, and use R button to arrange
them correctly. Then, open the gate by stepping onto the gray circle. Inside,
a tank battle is waiting.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Schzwarzman Tank ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not a very hard battle. Just keep using your cannons all the time, and send
Hooly to infiltrate. I myself, did never enter the enemy tank before its HP
reached zero in my session. Just note that this enemy has a shield it will
shoot at you, but you can easily take it down by firing three to five shots
at it. When HP reaches zero, you will have to first walk into the cannon
room of the bad guys tank, and then east from there, since the layout of the
tank is different from other tanks.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will now recieve the Mountain Krakatroda Key, and you can also save Flanpa
(eleventh), as his chest will appear nearby. He will take you back to the
huge gates. Inside the cave, you will find a Slime Knight. They can be used to
attack quickly with, if you carry them. Just try using the Y button to swing
the sword. Nearby is also a chest containing Count Dragoola (Twelfth). He will
send you the BS1-Crooze Recipe after you have walked west and delivered him
onto a train wagon. In this room, you can save Merc (thirteenth) from a chest
as well. Now, you might get a little angry with me, but I had you go west
after getting the Slime Knight for the sole reason of making this paragraph a
little longer than it would originally have been. So, yes, head back two
screens east, and use the Slime Knight to cut the spiders web. Go past all the
enemies and walk into the round opening in the wall for a new tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Fort Knight ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This one has the same shield as the last tank, so shoot it down if it
appears. The real weak point of the Fort Knight is that it only has one
single machine per ammunition outlet. This makes it a GREAT target for
sabotage. So, set all your slimes to use the cannons, and then infiltrate
their tank and take down their machines. Now, head back and help the slimes
firing the cannons. The enemy tank won't last long. Not at all. This battle
is a piece of pear pie.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your rewards are Diablob (fourteenth) and an Iron Shield. The shield can be
great in battles for blocking the projectiles the enemies counter with. Now,
you should have four slimes left to save in the mountain, check that. Now,
backtrack and go west until you reach another ice blockade. From there, go
north. The statues can be taken back to town by using wings. Well, go further
north, and you will reach a room with a strong current in the water. In the
eastern part of the room, you should save Lady Poly (fifteenth) and then get
into the portal in the northern end of the room. Use wings to take all the
statues back to town, and then the fence that is blocking a hole in the wall
will go away. Before entering this hole, use another wing to send the slime
you are carrying back to town.

/// Plot Belly Boss Battle ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will meet the boss of the level, named Pot Belly. He says he
uses his pot to make food, so he has to be a good guy. Wrong. When
he starts running around, you should just watch him, and pick up the
bombs and wings that he drops. Throw them back onto him to damage
him. Sometimes, he will throw bombs that hits himself, since he's
not very smart. Throwing wings at him will not move him back to
town, but damage him. Firewater is also something that he will drop,
but not very often. The firewater is however, the item that makes
most damage if you throw it at him.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the battle is over, pick up the pot, and walk into the portal that has
appeared a few seconds ago. The pot says that it will learn you how to do
alchemy, and that sounds good, right? Good going, you are now done with this
chapter.

==============================================================================
Starting With Alchemy [RoWa007]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: Zero
-------------------------------------

+ Boingburg

Walk outside, and talk to Flanpa when he approaches. Follow him to the wagon
where the Krak Pot can be found. Remember this location, which is east of
Ducktor's Garage. You can put two items into the pot, and they
will be fused with each other, and produce something, if you use a correct
recipe. Flanpa will now give you an Iron Shield Recipe, along with the needed
ingredients. Experiment a little, and make the items you want to make. I made
two Iron Balls and a BS-1 Crooze. Now you will realise that collecting items
is very important if you want strong items. Walk out of the wagon when you are
done.

Now, walk to the west, over the bridge, and then north towards the museum
in town. Before entering the museum, talk to Dragory who is a slime, and buy
his canvas for 500 Gold. This canvas is named 'Blue Sky'. You can paint on it
by talking to Startist in the castle later. Well, walk into the museum and
talk to Crystal Chronicler in the reception. He will tell you that when you
have collected thirty species of a monster, they will display a statue of that
certain monster. Now walk in to the northern rooms in the museum, and talk to
the monsters there (if you have collected 30 of some species), and they will
offer to join your tank crew! As always, you can assign tank crew in Ducktor's
garage. I rearranged my crew a little, so now it consists of Blubba, Platypunk
and Jailcat. I also added some ammo to my deck (including the items I made
with alchemy), and you should do the same. Now, if you upgraded your tanks
health with all of Slimechanic's old list, you can now talk to him, press
RIGHT, and then choose from more health upgrades. I bought 2 upgrades, and
increased the HP with 40 x 2.

When you try to leave town, Ducktor will stop you, only to get shot at by an
arrow. The letter says that there is a prisoner in Backwoods. This is Bo, your
sister. Well, Rocket's sister anyways. Now, head to the Backwoods on the map.
This chapter was not too long, was it? It did get you into alchemy and also
let you know about monster crewmembers. Very useful.

==============================================================================
Sister Trapped In Backwoods [RoWa008]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 6
-----------------------------------
Tokyo Tom, Gooshido, Goosashi,
Early Burly, Drake, Bo

+ Backwoods

Upon arriving in Backwoods, you will meet a Plob named Plat Sam. He is the one
that sent the letter with the arrow. Three monsters will now talk to you, and
then escape, telling you to find them to do some tank battles. Walk east and
you will get to an area with leaves on the ground as well as a railway with
train wagons. From here, head northeast and into a new area for the first tank
battle of the level.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Chrono Twigger Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set all your allies to use the cannons. No infiltration done by them this
time around. So, the enemy will pretty quickly start shooting baddies over
at your tank. Throw them back into the cannon when they arrive. Well, make
it a POW-fest and join the crew throwing stuff into the cannons. You should
be overpowered compared to the enemy tank in this battle. No kidding, you
can do this very easily by shooting, and only shooting.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rewards for this battle are Strong Medicine and a chest containing the slime
named Tokyo Tom (first). Tom is one of the 'Goonins', which is a group of
slimes that are a parody of japanese jounin. He will send you a Holy Water
Recipe. A spear blocking a hole in the wall back in the room to your west will
not be gone as well, but you can not enter the whole before you have moved
another two spears. Go back west, then one room south for a new battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Pyramaniac ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have both Jailcat and Platypunk infiltrate the enemy tank, if you have them
in your crew, as I do that is. The enemies tend to use the upper cannon a
lot more than the lower one, so you know where to shoot if you are afraid of
taking damage. Since Blubba is also using the upper cannons, you should get
some free moments when you can fire using the lower cannon, and do damage
to the enemies. With two crewmembers also infiltrating, the enemies will be
very busy, all the time until they die and their tank reaches zero HP.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rewards is a Spooklear Bomb and a slime named Gooshido (second), another
Goonin. Another spear will be removed, and you will recieve a Miracle Sword
Recipe. Exit west again, and head anoher room south, to the southmost room.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Carrot Top Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tell the Jailcat to infiltrate, and the two others to shoot using cannons.
Follow the cat, and it will open the gate for you. When it has opened the
gate, send it back to deal with cannons, and then break all the machines in
the enemy tank. Elasto Blast the baddies a lot, and when they say 'press the
button', make sure that they dont get to hit the red button in the eastern
part of their tank, as this will launch the big drill. The battle is very
easy, you can just Elasto Blast the baddies to keep them from doing harm to
  your tank.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save Goosashi (third) now, and recieve a Medicinal Herb Recipe. Go back west.
Do not enter the hole that has been made accessible yet, but go northwest to
find a Seed of Life and two slimes, Early Burly (fourth) and Drake (fifth).
Deliver them onto the train back east. Now walk north into the hole that was
blocked by spears earlier. Remember the black enemy from the mountain chapter?
Well, his name is Slival, and he will be your enemy this time as well.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Schwarzman Tank Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set one crewmember to infiltrate, and the rest to use the cannons. The enemy
tank will fire very quickly at first, so shoot three items at if yourself
using one of the cannons, and then leave the rest to your two crewmembers.
Now infiltrate the enemy tank, and blow up the machines here. Walk into the
cannon room to find Slival and the crewmember you sent earlier fight. Kill
off Slival, and then simly wait for him to return, and kill him again. Well,
this is ONE way of doing it until the enemy has 0 HP, but it's funnies to go
back to your own tank and start blast the crap out of the enemy tank
instead. Your choice. Do note that the last strategy is much harder, as you
will have to counter a LOT.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Slival will get sad, and you will be able to save your sister Bo (sixth). This
the last slime of Backwoods. In a bonus you will now get the Clap Trap, and in
a mail from Bo, the Goddess Statue Recipe. This marks the end of this chapter,
my slime.

Save Our Mom And Dad, Please [RoWa009]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 8
-----------------------------------
Gregg, Sir Sudsy, Duke Swellington,
Mama Mia, Big Daddy, Goobrielle,
Pebbles, Anjello

Walk downstairs and Bo will stop you, and tell you that mom and dad haven't
been saved yet. The main reason to do this, is mom's sandwiches of course. The
three Goonin will now pop out of nowhere, and then after some talk, they will
go away again. Now, with 55 slimes saved, more steel balls have been removed.
This means that you can now go to the far west part of town, and into the
spyhole near the castle (southwest of it). Go to the spyhole, and drop down
there, and look how things are. There is not anything you can really do down
here other than look, so now, head to the western part of town. The far
western part, of course. There is nothing you can really do here either, but
read the note on the board, and watch the huge monument-ish thing. You will
have to return here later. Now, depending on what you want to do, you can
either go visit Ducktor to fix your crew and ammo, or walk straight out of
town after having saved. You can also make some items using alchemy - it's all
up to you.

When you try to leave town, the goonin will stop you. They have located your
mom and dad. They have been trapped at Callmigh Bluff. Before heading to the
recently unlocked Callmigh Bluff, it should be useful to backtrack to Mountain
Krakatroda for some additional enemies and items. Remember, thirty enemies of
one species means a new crewmember unlocked. After getting thirty imps, thirty
living statues and a lot of items, I made my way back to down, and talked to
them at the museum. I did not, however switch them, so my crewmembers were
still Platypunk, Bubbla and Jailcat. Now we are finally done with all the
extra stuff, so head to Callmigh Bluff, if you haven't done so already.

+ Callmigh Bluff

Walk north past a railway and to a new area. Don't mind the ice blockade at
the start. Now walk up on a stage, and into the door saying 'Level 1'. You
should just pass the ice blockade outside here as well. Save Gregg (first)
from the chest on your left side, and then backtrack to deliver him, and some
monsters onto the train wagons. Now go back to where you saved Gregg and climb
up the nearby rope. Up here, save Sir Sudsy (second), and then head south out
of the room to deliver him on the wagons. He will send you the BS-2 Bluestreak
Recipe. There is an ice block in the western part of this area as well, but
take the northwest exit since you can not deal with the ice yet. So, head into
the door with the 'Level 2' sign.

Walk over the bridge, ignore the slime chest, and head out southwest. You will
see a 'Level 3' sign and more ice. Go west and into the other Level 3 door, go
straight north in here, and save Duke Swellington (third). Now jump to the
platform in the water, then east and go up the rope. Now, behind some more
ice, two chests have been trapped, and a guy will shout: ' SON IS THAT YOU,
SON'. Big daddy and Mama Mia will break out of their boxes and tell you to
stand back. Rocket now helps his injured dad back to town. Back in your house,
you are tol to take the 'Goonin Trials'. Yes, this reminds me of a crap series
called Naruto. Wannabe anime. Anyways, now you will have saved Big Daddy
(fourth) and Mama Mia (fifth) as well, so check your mail for Medicinal Herb,
and Edged Boomerang Recipe. Now you should have saved in all 60 slimes, so you
are over halfway through the game. Now walk outside your house.

+ Boingburg

South of your house, a shop has now been opene if you saved all sixty slimes
so far. Walk into the shop and take a look around. There is not much to do
here yet, as you should be able to see. Because of this, you should now head
to the spyhole southwest of the castle, and start with your Goonin Trials.
Talk to the Goonin, and then Elasto Blast into the green sign saying 'Mind'.
Goosashi tells you that you need to collect some wood. Ducktor shows up to
help you. Well, he only jumps into the pot, but here is what you have to do;
Elasto Blast into all the wooden and gray items in the room, and throw them
into the fire under the pot. When you have done this with all the items, the
trial will have been passed. Now Elasto Blast into the 'Skill' sign. Gooshido
will tell you to Elasto Blast into him, and then summon lots of fake slimes.
Elasto Blast them all, and Gooshido will be the final one left. Trial two
complete. Now go for the 'Body' trial. Just blast into the flag, and Tokyo Tom
will fall down. Now, you will learn the 'Master Blast', and be able to destroy
those ice blockades from earlier. Also, the Goonin members will now be able to
join your tank crew. So, head to Mountain Krakatroda to collect
the three remaining slimes.

+ Mountain Krakatroda

Jump into the first portal, walk south past the area with all the strong-
current water, and then Master Blast into the ice blockade. Walk south past
the room with all the chests and spider webs, and roll down the huge hill.
Keep rolling, and you will blast a piggybank for about 500 gold, and save
Goobrielle (sixth). This technique is named 'Rollerdash'. Goobrielle will send
you a Clap Trap Recipe, so be sure to check your mail. Go south, and then
backtrack all the way to where you made your first Rollerdash. This time, you
should not stop where you saved Goobrielle, but instead continue rolling up
the hill in the west side of the room. Make sure you do not carry monsters
when starting to roll. Pick up the Seed of Life from the chest near the stand,
and then throw down the rope for easy access later. Now walk west for a tank
battle.

  /// Schleiman Tank versus T-Rax ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hacks 'R' Us, righty? This boss has it all.....When it comes to HP. This
means, defeating the boss is very, very easy. Compare it to the last battle
you had with Slival, and you will laugh because of this fight's easyness.
Set all your crew to use cannons, and infiltrate yourself. Break their
machine, and head back and shoot like crazy. The T-Rax fires pretty powerful
shots, but when you, along with three helpers, fire like crazy, the enemy
tank's shots won't hit you often - or not at all. The T-Rax is very slow,
and you are very fast. You win. Oh yeah, the engine room has two forks. Take
the lower one when going for the final Elasto Blast.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pebbles (seventh) will now have been saved, and you will get a Chili Pepper.
Pebbles will also send you the Chili Pepper Recipe in a mail. Now, remember to
room where the red lines are? You know, the ones you Elasto Blast into, and
then bounce all around. Well, just roll down all the hills, and head east.
Climb up the rope in this area, and head west for the final tank battle of the
chapter.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Cyclown ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the look of things, you could also have done this boss earlier, but it
should be much easier now, and you had to backtrack anyways. So, doing it
now is better. Well, the boss has Boomerangs that lock onto your projectiles
and shoot them down. Sabotage their tank to slow down their boomerangs, so
that they don't come out so repidly as earlier. Then, just damage them to
  death.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The slime named Anjello (eight) will now have been saved. Head back to town,
recieve the Cloaking Device as a bonus, and start the next chapter. 63 slimes
should now be your total slime count.

==============================================================================
Back To Callmigh Bluff [RoWa010]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 10
---------------------------------------
Jewelian, Mrs Hooly, Mr Hooly, Teeny,
Splodgy Dave, Spot, Fangummy Bob,
Patch, Morrie Morrie, Flabbot Flancisco

As always, fix up your ammunition, and if you feel like you need it, upgrade
HP, and make some stuff with alchemy. In my case, when I left town, my tank
had 480 HP, and my crew consisted of Blubba, Goosashi and Tokyo Tom.

+ Callmigh Bluff

Once here, go straight east and blast through some ice. Inside the room behind
the ice, there are three slimes named Jewelian (first), Mrs. Hooly (second),
and Mr. Hooly (third). Walk back west and then north, and send them back on
the train wagons. You will recieve Strong Medicine, Goddess Statue and
Iritaball Recipe. Go one screen north, and save another slime from behind the
ice blockade. This one is named Teeny (fourth), and he will give you the
Miracle Sword Recipe. Continue walking north into the cave, and when you get
outside to the Level 2 sign, blast through the ice far west in this area.
Continue west and you will get to a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Splatypanzer ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, if you chose the same crew as I did back in Boingburg, look at the
members abilities, so that you really know what they can do. Set Blubba and
Goosashi to use the cannons, and Tokyo Tom to use cAMMOflage. This means
that he basically infiltrates the enemies, and hurts them. He attacks very
quickly. Follow Tom, and help him smash their machines. Make sure to bring
some of the enemy tank's ammo back to your own tank, and fire at will. After
you have sabotaged the tank, this battle will get much easier. If you do not
sabbotage them, you will have a hactic time with all the shields the enemies
  keep firing.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the battle is over, and if you are the winner, you will get to save
Splodgy Dave (fifth). This is the shopkeeper, so next time in town, be sure to
check the building south of your house out again. Splodgy Dave will now send
you a Vulcan Gun. Go back east and then go all the way to the Level 3 sign.
Nearby, there is more ice for you to pass. Inside, there is an area with
wagons, and a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Cactiballistix ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very easy battle. Set your mates to use the cannons, and infiltrate as
usual. Bring down their machines, take some huge-time arrows back to your
tank as ammo, and shoot using both cannons, while Tokyo Tom keeps an eye on
the enemies (infiltrate). In the enemies engine room, take the upper path.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will now save Spot (sixth) and get a Golden Arrow. You will also recieve
Firewater Recipe by mail. Go west, and continue until you reach the room where
you saved your parents earlier. Exit southwest, and then go into a room
northeast to find a Goddess Statue. Deliver the statue to the train wagons,
and then blast through the ice close to the Level 4 sign. Insie, there is a
new tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Pyramaniac Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The battle with the tank itself is not too hard, but you will need to be on
your toes, and watch out for incoming baddies, both from the enemy cannons,
and running ones coming from the field. Once someone enters your tank,
Master Blast into them until they die, or, faint. Anyway, send Tom off to
infiltrate at the beginning, and help the other two crewmembers to use the
cannons. When the tank reaches zero HP, take the upper path in the engine
  room.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fangummy Bob (seventh) will now have been saved. He will also send you the
Bastard Sword Recipe. Now head back to the room where you saved the parents,
and head northwest out of that room. Keep going and you will get to the Level
5 sign. Inside the door, there is a slime named Patch (eight), so save him,
and then walk north out of the room. You will get to a rope, so pull it down.
You will fall an extreme distance, but head up again after you have gotten to
the bottom. Walk north to a new area, and you will see the orange sky. In the
chest close to the sky, there is a Seed of Life. Walk east for a new tank
battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Enforker ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The enemy tank has quite a lot of HP. Do as in the last battle; set two
slimes to use cannons, and one to infiltrate. You should also infiltrate,
and take down their machines. Their baddies are mostly statues this time
around, so don't spend time on taking them down. Bring back some of their
lightening items and use them as ammo. The enemies use quite a lot of
shields, so make sure you watch the upper screen and fire lots of ammo at
them. If some enemy items enter your cannon room, throw them back into the
cannon as fast as you can. Take the lower path when in the enemies engine
  room.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morrie Morrie (nineth) will now be saved, and you will get a Lightning Staff.
Drop all the way down using the long rope, and walk north. Jump into the
portal to activate it, then go back again. Roll into the blue hole, and
prepare for the final battle of this chapter. Harvest Loon is the name of the
boss, and he says he's better than you! Kick his butt, my slime.

/// Harvest Loon Boss Battle ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Loon will give you a Slime Knight, because he thinks you look to pathetic
without at least a sword. He's right. Well, when he starts flying around
like a mad bird, he will wait for some seconds, and then throw three scythes
at you. Use your Slime Knight Sword, and try beating one of them so that it
hits the Loon in his face. You can also try to hit several of the scythes at
once, there is nothing stopping you from doing that. When the Loon gets real
mad, he will throw his big scythe at you. It does not move very fast, so you
can easily jump, and then float in the air a little, to avoid it. Just don't
think that you can beat the big one back at the Loon. The final attack of
the Loon, is to summon small red devils. Just use your sword to beat them
all down, and you shouldn't have any problem in finishing the rest of the
battle, as he will repeat his old attacks if he still lives.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the battle is done, pick up the schyte that drops, and head north and
save Flabbot Flancisco (tenth). My game actually had a bug, that said I had
only saved eight slimes, but the ending result turned out to be ten when the
game counted up the slimes at the end. Don't panic if you have this bug as
well. This is the first print of the North American version I am playing, if
you wanna know. As a bonus, you will now get another vulcan gun. You will walk
back to town with Flabbot, and then go to sleep. Something big will be
happening tomorrow. But that, is another story, in the next chapter.

==============================================================================
I Survived The Harvest Loon [RoWa011]
==============================================================================

Slimes to find in this chapter: 17
---------------------------------------
Cheruboing, Goochie, Weeny, Wild Fang,
Clawdia, Sliminator, Eggbard, Meggan,
Blingaling, Lord Lard, Pamby, Michelle,
Tickles, Soapia, Frankenslime,
Her Royal Wobbliness, Lord Roly

+ Boingburg

After some sleep, check your mail to find out about the Cloaking Device
Recipe you have got from Flabbot. walk downstairs and get outside of your
house. The king, Big Daddy and Flancisco will be talking with each other
regarding the state the town is in. The citizens now start fixing all the
broken stuff. Watch them for some fun. After all this, the town will look
fine again, so you can actually be proud of being a slimehabitant again.
Back at the castle, a sequence will show the goonin reporting to the king.
They say that the Plob are trying to excavate something near Mountain
Krakatroda. Tokyo Tom has also heard something about something Dark. The
Dark One is the correct word. It is then decided that you should go to this
place the goonin reported about, and try to stop the Plob from digging up
The Dark One. The king gives you a Seed of Life.

Now, take a look at the library, since you have now removed the Steel Ball
outside it with over 70 slimes saved. The library is just west over the
bridge, close to your own house. Walk upstairs, and start blasting into the
books on the floor there. Some of the books in the northeast part of the room
hides a little something that is a test of Hooly's that has a zero percent
rate. Walk north into the upper floor of the library, and climb up the ladder.
Inside some books up here, there is a Golden Arrow Recipe. Now walk outside,
and to the western part of town. Talk to Fangummy Bob and buy the canvas he
offers you for 500 gold. Now, Morrie Morrie is the red slime that is standing
near the huge monument-ish thing. Talk to him, and tell him that you are
ready.

Morrie Morrie will introduce you to the fine play of Tank Masters, which
basically, is lots of tanks battling each other, one on one, just as in the
tank battles with the Plob in the main storyline. You start from Rank C, which
is the lowest rank. Check out the Tank Masters own chapter for more detailed
information. Remember, I will not tell you when to play Tank Masters. You can
start now if you want to, or wait until you feel like you're ready.
After you have done your stuff, you should go fix your crew over at Ducktor's
garage. My team of choice is Blubba, Pickys and Flancisco.

+ Flucifer's Necropolis

Walk north and you will see an Imp and some baddies talking about you. The two
rockbombs that you need at the gray spot on the ground will escape. One to the
left, and one to the right. Go right into the water first. Go southeast past a
railway and into a well. You will see some fire type enemies, and a statue
with Rocket and some monsters on top of him. There will be two ropes. One
east, and one in the middle. Take the middle one, and then drop into a new
well, and climb up a new rope. You will find a slime named Cheruboing (first).
He will send you Strong Medicine Recipe. Now backtrack to throw the slime onto
the train, and drop down into the first well again. Notice the statue? It will
have a red Platypunk on top. Walk up the east rope to collect one of them.
Bring it with you, and then drop down into the well again, and choose the
middle rope to head up. Here, an Imp will be waiting. Pick it up, and head
back up using the eastern rope. On your east side, there will be another well,
so drop down there, up another rope, and then collect a mimic (chest) and save
the slime here. Sorry if this was confusing, but you should be able to make
it.

The slimes name is Goochie (second). Now, backtrack a little through the
nearest well, and then walk north onto the gray statue spot. This should open
up the gate, if you have all the correct enemies on top of you. If you could
not save the last slime because of space, go back and do so now, before
heading north past the now opened gate. Goochie will send you a Metal King
Sword Recipe. In the room north of the game, there is a railway, and a slime
chest in the southeast corner, containing Weeny (third). After saving her,
walk east for a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Fort Knight ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This tank has been doomed from the beginning. Especially if you are already
familiar with Tank Masters, since this battle is easier than anything there.
Anyways, set your allies to attack and heal, and then fire three items into
one of the cannons yourself. Hop into one of the cannons to shoot over to
the enemy tank, and blast their machines. This tank only has one machine per
ammo outlet. This makes the battle even easier, and by now, you should have
much more HP then the enemy tank as well. When their machines have been
taken down, go back and shoot using your cannons. If you are really slow,
the enemy might launch a mirror. Just try shoot using the cannon that is not
aimed at the mirrors path if this happens.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your reward will be the slime named Wild Fang (fourth) and a Mirror Shield.
Wild Fang will also send you a Vulcan Bullets Recipe. Walk out of this area,
then northeast to a new one filled with water with strong currents. Jump into
the water, and follow the main current to the west side. You will see a well
in the northwestern part, but ignore it for now, and instead follow the
current soutwest to save a new slime named Clawdia (fifth). Go back and put
her in a wagon, and then head back to the room with the currents. Now, follow
the current northwest and get into the well there to save Sliminator (sixth).
Go back to the eastern part of the room with the water.

Back east, jump left to the platform with the chest on. From here, jump
northwest into the water, and you should be able to make it down to the well
on the other platform. Drop into the well, jump onto a train wagon to get to
the other side of the water, throw the slime onto a wagon and climb up the
rope. Sliminator will send you the Lightning Staff Recipe. You will get to a
huge area with lots of lumber-built platforms, or stairs, or whatever. English
is just the language I study, sorry.

Go northeast along on the platforms and then west to exit the area. In this
area, there will be some train wagons, LOTS of cactiballs on a field, and a
portal leading back to where the baddies escaped at the start of the level.
Activate the portall, pick up the bomb and then throw it onto the stone wall
east of the cactiball field. Inside, there is a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus War Chest ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
From second one, you will notice that these guys fire very, very quickly,
but their firepower is not too much to be afraid off. However, if you do not
rush into their tank and take down their machines, you might get in trouble
with your own HP - so do that. The enemies might fire traps, so watch your
upper screen for those. If one reaches into your tank, be nice and step on
it yourself, as it is better if you loose HP than your crewmembers, since
they have less, and take a long time to revieve. That's it - following these
lines is enough to win. Just make sure you take the lower path in their
engine room to save some time.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as always, your reward is a slime, this time named Eggbard (seventh).
Now, go back to the room with all the lumber platforms/stairs. Under the
platform closest to where you entered, there is a chest with a Seed of Life.
You could also have gotten this one before the battle, just to tell you that.

Drop into the water on the left side at the place where you went right
earlier. Walk west into a new area. In the southeast part, there is a slime
named Meggan (eight). Go one screen back and drop her onto a wagon, then head
back and get onto the platform, and then up on the wagon there. Ride it into
the water. Ride it to the other side. When you are asked if you want to go
back to town say no. You will automatically bump to a room north, but go back,
drop into the water, and head north into another room that is not connected to
any other areas than the one where you rode the wagon over the water. There
are two slimes here, Blingaling (nineth) and Lord Lard (tenth). Go back and
throw them onto a wagon. Lord Lard will send you a Gold Bar Recipe, and
Blingaling will send you a Holy Crystal. Now run over the water using the
wagon again, and it will once again bump you into a room connected to the
northwestern part of the area with the wagon and the water.
From here, go east from the railway you meet to initiate yet another tank
battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Golemator ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys will infiltrate from the air and the ground starting from second
one of the battle. Shoot the air infiltrators down, and Elasto Blast the
ground one(s) to death. With the baddies still being dead, infiltrate their
tank and crush their machines. The baddies, after having being brought back
to life, will infiltrate even more, and continue this trend all the way
through the battle. They won't use their cannons much, in other words. Just
keep blasting into the baddies, while taking a little time off to use your
own cannons when you can. Watch out for one of the baddies using the air to
fly through however, as he can take several shots before falling down.
However, by watching out for him, I mean watching out so that you shoot
using the cannon that is not targeting him. This enemy does not do very much
damage even when it hits your tank you see, so you should shoot over or
under him, so that he does not take down too many of your shots. Also, the
ground invaders can do some serious damage to your machines if you let them
  walk around as they please.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your reward is the slime named Pamby (eleventh). Walk back west, then north
into a new area. Jump east over all the water, and save Michelle (twelveth)
at the other side. Go north, then jump over the water to the west. The
floating jump move is useful here. Throw Michelle onto a wagon, and save
Tickles (thirteenth) and throw him onto a wagon as well. As you can see, some
of the wagons have cannons. Jump into one to shoot yourself to the east side
of the water stream in the middle of the two others, and drop into the well at
the other side. Save Soapia (fourteenth) down here and throw her onto a wagon.
She will send you the Spooklear Bomb Recipe. Walk east while still being down
in this well, and you will arrive at the other side of another well you
visited earlier. Climb up the rope, and you will arrive at the place with all
the lumber stairs or platforms, only this time, you will be able to access
some unreachable areas from last time, since you are now at the ground, behind
some of the blockades. The only useful place however, is straight north and
into a new area.
This one is identical to the other area with lots of cactiballs. Pick up the
bomb, then use it on the wall, just like earlier. This will reveal a new tank
battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus War Chest Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main attack of the enemy is to send invisible ghosts to steal you items.
This should be a very easy fight, as the enemy ghosts can only carry one
item at a time. They are however, invisible, but you can see them on the
upper screen map as other baddies. Just deal with the ghosts when you see
them nearby, no reason to run after them like crazy, as they are not really
a huge threat. In their tank room, take the lower path.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save Frankenslime (fiveteenth) after the battle and he will send you a devil's
tail. After the battle, go back and pick up the bomb in the cactiball room,
then into the portal to pick up the Imp, then finally into the other portal
located near the gate where you find the imp, to pick up the final bomb. Carry
them back to the gate (use the portal once again to get there), and stand on
the gray spot to open up the gate. Yet another room with cactiballs here. Drop
into the portal in the north part of the area. In here, Rocket will sense a
power. Do not go north into the blue metallish thing yet though, but head east
to save the next to last slime. Guess who is waiting inside. Yes, Slival.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Schwarzman Tank Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set Flancisco to heal, if you have him in your team. I know I have, and told
you that I would use him when we were still back in town. Set the two others
to use one cannon each. Slival will often fire three items in a row, and
this will usually be strong Bastard Swords. You should infiltrate him at
once, and destroy his row of machines inside his cannon room. If you want to
be cheap, you can just stay in his room, and Elasto Blast him all the time,
so that he never gets the chance to fire. This is easy, since he has no
  crewmembers.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save Her Royal Wobbliness (sixteenth) after the battle, and she will
send you a gold bar by mail. Now go back one room, and north into the blue
metallish opening. Heal at the pad, and head north for the last battle of
this chapter.

/// Lickedy Spit Boss Battle ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle is easy. Avoid the cactiballs when they get spikes, and then
Elasto Blast into them, and throw them onto the tongue of the boss. You can
throw all of them at once. When the non-monster cactuses appear, just walk
away from them so that they can not hit you. Yes, that is all.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walk north after the battle and save Lord Roly (seventeenth). After that, go
back to town using the portal. You should get a meteorite in bonus if you have
all eighteen slimes of Flucifer's Necropolis. Watch the scene at the Plob's
headquarters. The king will afterwards give you a Seed of Life. Check your
mail to get the Mirror Shield Recipe from Lordy Roly. Now, prepare for another
chapter. The final one.

Slimes to find in this chapter: 10
---------------------------------------
Roboglop, Curator, Clawrence, Bouncer,
Flan Spinel, Viscount Viscous, Sliborg
Flopsy, Count Calories, Glutonella, Slival

+ Boingburg

Before doing anything else, go see Ducktor's shop to upgrade your tank's HP. I
ended up with a total of 910 HP after doing this. You don't have to change
your crew, I know I didn't. Now go make everything that is more powerful than
your current ammo using alchemy, and stock them into the tank by talking to
Ducktor again. I ended up with quite a lot of Steel Broadswords, Orichalum,
some Bluestreaks, a Meteorite and various other assorted items. You don't
really need anything stronger than that, so you should be fine without having
to backtrack to collect items.

Now, go southwest of the museum and talk to Meggan in the house there. She is
an egg-looking slime, and will give you the tank named 'Giggles' for free. It
can be used in Multiplayer and Tank Masters. Now, head over to the shop south
of Rocket's House, and buy Slime Dolls until you have 10 of them in all. This
will cost you 2000 gold. If you do not have this much, go to Mountain
Krakatroda, into the cave there, and all the way east. Bring a Slime Knight
with you to this room, and kill Imps until you have enough gold. You can also
sell other items at the shop to earn gold. Now head to the library and speak
with Pamy. Trade your 10 dolls for Power Tablets Recipe. Now, you can jump
into the chimney of the house most to the south from the museum. Do this until
all the dirt has been removed. You do this from outside of the house, mind
that. When you are done, Goochie will give you Holy Crystals Recipe. When you
are ready, go out of town and head to Flying Clawtress.

+ Flying Clawtress

Boy, this is a good reference to Super Mario Bros 3, isn't it? Well, climb
onto the anchor and go all the way to the top. Up here, save the slime
waiting in the chest. This one is named Roboglop (first). He will tell you
about the wagons of this level. Instead of going on a railway, these ones
fly. They carry four items, just as normal wagons do. Throw him onto the
wagon and go into the huge gates. They will open up when you get close to
them. Walk north past some holes in the floor, and save Curator (second).
Destroy the machines on your right side, and head right to the next room.
In here, there is a wagon so that you can deliver Curator. Take down the
machines southwest in this room, and head past the gate that blows up. You
will meet a Golem in the room with all the spikes.

Elasto Blast into the golem a few times, and infiltrate the cockpit. You can
now control the golem by using the digital pad, A and B. Use the golem's punch
to get through all the crates in the eastern side of the room. In the room to
the north, use the golem to go west past all the spikes. Take down another
golem that is waiting for you and then activate the portal in the southwest
part of the room. Now, get out of the golem and go one room west. In here,
save Clawrence (third), and go straight north for a Seed of Life. Go west past
a soldier, and throw Clawrence onto the wagon in the lower part of the room,
and wreck all nearby machines. In the northwestern part, take down the
remaining machines, and exit the room by going west. In the next room, there
will be a tank battle.

/// Schleiman Tank versus The Argonaut ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle might surprise you, as it is much harder than all of the
previous battles in the storyline. The baddies will not infiltrate at all,
and are all made of unbreakable material like stone and metal, so Elasto
Blasting them to bits will not work. In addition, the enemy tank is armed
with very powerful items, that will damage you for about 100 HP each time it
hits your tank. The strategy we will be using is to shoot yourself into the
enemy tank using one of your cannons. The upper one is most likely to get
you all the way into their tank. Once there, pick up all the items you can,
and then wreck all of their machines, before throwing the stolen items out
of their front door. After this, steal more items and throw them out of the
door as well. When the baddies run out of ammo, just walk outside, pick up
three items, and go back to your own tank and throw the items into one of
your cannons. Then run back, and get the other items. Repeat this until you
win the battle. Use the lower path in the engine room.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can now save Bouncer (fourth), and the door on your left side will open.
Walk past it, and check your mail for a Special Medicine Recipe sent by
Bouncer. In the next room, walk all the way to the west and save Flan Spinel
(fifth). Throw him onto the nearby wagon, and walk southwest into a new area.
You will meet lots of robots, but all of them besides one will escape. Elasto
Blast the remaining one until it breaks, and then exit the room northwest.

/// Schleiman Tank versus DQ: Swordz ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be using the same tactics as last time. Infiltrate, steal three
items, throw them out on the field, go back and steal more. Repeat this
until the enemies hit the ground. Check the previous battle for more
  details.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save Viscount Viscous (sixth) for an Orichalum Recipe. Walk west into a new
area. Follow the blue lines on the floor, and take down all the machines in
the room. Then exit by going northeast. Before you go out of the room,
activate the portal near the exit. Jump northwest past the spikes, and enter
the Golem. South past some crates, you can save Sliborg (seventh) and throw
him onto a wagon that is nearby on your left side.
Go east, break the crates and exit the room in the northeastern
part of the room. You need to leave the golem here.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Daemolition Man ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set your crewmembers to use the cannons and heal the tank, and shoot into
the eemy tank by using the upper cannon. Since all the baddies in this tank
are easy to take down, you can choose between staying, and blasting into
allt the enemies all the time, or stealing items and shooting them at the
enemy tank. Both of the strategies will work. Just make sure to throw away
or steal the special dynamite found in the eastern part of the tank. Use the
lower path in the engine room.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save Flopsy (eight), and he will send you a Kaboomamite Recipe. Exit east,
and activate the portal you stumble upon. You will soon meet a lot of robots.
Just Elasto Blast into them until they are all gone, and exit by going north
into the metallish hole in the wall. You will meet Slival. He says that he is
guarding the key to the door of Plobfather's whereabouts. If you are ready,
follow him east to start battling with him.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Schwarzman Tank Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Prepare for an action-filled
battle with who has until now been the main villain of Rocket Slime. As
always, set your mates to use the cannons and heal. No need to have anyone
else than you infiltrating the enemy tank. Slival does not have any
crewmembers, so just go infiltrate his tank at once, and blast into him
until he has to respawn. Now, be quick and throw out three items from the
tank. Of course, out of the main entrance, not into Slival's cannons. Break
all of the tank's machines, and Elasto Blast slival himself to death again.
It is possible to do this without taking any damage to your own tank. Your
crewmembers should already have reduced Slival's tank's HP a lot already, so
you will see that this is working. For a perfect battle, just keep throwing
items out the door so that Slival can not get them, and Elasto Blast into
slival himself so that he doesn't even get to try. If you think your
crewmembers are too slow, you can always go back to your tank and help them
with the cannons; just bring some stolen items back with you. That's it, you
have defeated Slival when the battle is over.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle, Count Calories (ninth) will appear, and Slival will give you
the key he was guarding. Rocke will now use they key to open the sealed door.
When you get the control back, check your mail from Count Calories to discover
the Metal King Shield Recipe. Heal on the pad on the floor, and head north
into the door in front of you. You will run into the princess, as she is
searching for something to eat. Don Clawleone, the plobfather, says that
Rocket is the one that has been giving him a lot of trouble.

/// Don Clawleone Boss Battle ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
He will just sit around himself, but has a few attacks that might hit you
some times. His attacks are summoning sharp blades from the left and the
right. When he does that, do a floating jump to avoid getting damaged. When
he summons helpers with machine-guns, run to one of the sides to avoid
getting shot, and then he summons lots of small creatures, try to avoid
them. If you do get stuck with some of them, Elasto Blast to shake them off.
Do all this while Elasto Blasting into Clawleone himself. When the boss is
halfway dead, he will transform into a dragon. He will try to hit you with
spewing his flames all around, but avoiding them is not too hard. Elasto
Blast into his face to damage him. You can Blast into his face while he is
moving, and from the sides while he is spewing flames. If the boss launches
lots of moving flames, just jump over them.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle, the princess will appear again, and she will have a flute in
her hands. She will play it, and the Plobfather will tremble with fear. Why?
Because the 'Dark One' is now unsealed from his slumber. The Dark One, really
named 'Flucifer' will now appear, as he has taken over Clawleone's whole body.
Before you get to know anything else, Slival will come. He says that the two
of you will have to team up to stop Flucifer. Allright with you, is it not?
Watch the upper screen for some great graphics, and the lower one to see your
tanks sink into the ground. Watch the scene with the Krak Pot, and the tank
that is the God of Mountain Krakatroda. Now, the final battle will begin, and
Glutonella (tenth) will have been saved. She will send you a Weapon Tablet
Recipe.

/// Gott Schleiman versus Flucifer ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
With Slival on your team, this is going to be good as a dream. Now,
infiltrating the enemy tank will do not good, as it is shooting projectiles
without any baddies having do help with doing it. So, start shooting a lot
of projectiles from your own tank, along with Slival. If you have some
serious alchemy-made items, it is possible to take the enemy tank's HP down
to zero, but most likely, if you have not played around with a lot of
alchemy, it is your tank that will reach zero HP first. Anyway, while both
tanks are shooting, do as good as you can to counter the enemy shots, as it
is possible to shoot any of them down. If you reach zero HP, deal with the
infiltrators quickly, and then shoot at their tank. The enemies will stop
shooting once your HP reaches zero. Slival will also help out with stopping
infiltrators, but I will not recommend that you trust him 100% with that
task, as he will fail at keeping them all down.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

+ Boingburg

Now, everything is fine, and the slimes head back to town. But, everything is
not perfect anyway, as Slival hasn't returned along with the others. The next
day, if you have saved all 100 slimes (besides Slival of course), go talk to
the king for the ending sequence. You can continue playing after this. As you
can see, Slival is waiting at the top of a mountain - Krakatroda of course.

Get to
the library, talk to Count Calories and buy his 'Empty Frame' canvas for 500
gold. On the lower floor in the library, talk to Curator. He wants 20 Catnips,
which you can find in Forewood Forest, and 20 Medicinal Herbs, which you can
make with alchemy or buy at the shop. He will in return give you the Overdrive
Tablet Recipe. You should now have all three Tablet recipes. Combine all the
items made from the recipes at once to get a nice result during tank battles.
Also in the library, talk to Sliborg and give him 20 Steel Broadswords. Make
the, through alchemy or farm them fron soldiers in Flying Clawtress. The
reward is Vulcan Shells Recipe. Talk to your Big Daddy in Rocket's house and
make him some Special Medicine from one of your recipes. He will then join
your team. Oh, Mama Mia will too! Special Medicine can also be farmed from the
Jinksters in Flying Clawtress. They drop '?' bags with the medicine in pretty
often. Now, we'll want to meet up with Slival again, so head to Mountain
Krakatroda.

Slival and the Well [RoWaFin]
==============================================================================

+ Mountain Krakatroda

Remember the ending credits? Slival was sitting at a mountain all alone. Yup,
Mountain Krakatroda. Head there and go all the way east. Not into the cave,
but past the gate where you had to pick up a number of enemies to get through.
Slival is waiting, so battle him.

/// Schleiman Tank versus Schwarzman Tank Redux ///
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the final battle with Slival, so prepare for an action-filled
battle with who has until now been the main villain of Rocket Slime. As
always, set your mates to use the cannons and heal.
Break

  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, now this battle can be repeated for Metal King Swords and Orichalslimes as
many times as you want, by exiting the mountain and then coming back later.
Head back to town, and drop down into the Hero's Well, at the start of the
middle part of town. There is a sign nearby. You need to have saved all 100
slimes to do this.

+ Hero's Well

This is the last challenge of the game, but very easy to beat after all. A
Goddess formed like Flucifer will appear. It tells you that you need to kill
it, and defend your friends at the same time. Just Elasto Blast into it when
it is visible, and repeat this until you win. Your mates have a lot of HP, and
you should be able to win on your first try. It's really that simple. The
reward is a Hero Sword. Repeating the battle will not earn you anything. Well,
that's all for the guide. If Tank Masters is left on your savegame, check out
it's own section. Since you completed the main storyline, S-Rank will now be
avaliable. Congratulations with the completed game, my slime!

Tank Masters [RoWTANK]
==============================================================================

Tank Master is a tournament that can be played whenever you feel like, after
you have saved Morrie Morrie from Callmigh Bluff. You can then talk to Morrie
Morrie in the western part of town, and then choose what rank, and what battle
to play. There are three battles in each rank. The first ones are easier than
the last ones, as you most likely have guessed already. In the tank battles,
you can choose what tank to control, as long as you have fought against the
tank of choice earlier. There are some tanks that you can not play. These are
the two final boss tanks in the main storyline.

When you complete a rank, you will be rewarded with an item, and you will also
earn access to the next rank. S rank, which is hardest can only be played
after you have completed the main storyline in Rocket Slime, though. Since
there are many tanks to choose between, some of them have special abilities,
like for example launching built-in projectiles and so on. You should also
note that the guides under this paragraph are of my own personal preference,
and you can choose other tanks and other strategies if you want to. But be
aware that my strategies are actually working.

The reason that this battle is so easy, it that the enemies are using

The plob into their machines, and attack the ones using their cannon. This

to some of the machines, though. When the enemies fire their drill at you,
be very fast, and counter it with lots of items. This is very important,
because if you don't destroy it, you will take lots of damage, and might
loose the battle because of this. With Blubba's great shooting and
Flancisco's healing, you should be ok for the rest of the battle.

battle is not very fast, but the enemy has very, veyr powerful ammo,
but by using your cannons nicely, you should be able to counter most

tank. Just take your time, and watch the projectiles coming at you.
Especially the golden bombs numbered with 3. This enemy does not often
send baddies towards you, so stay calm regarding that.

machines. The Goodybag enemies will not often attack the machines, but
the blue robot type enemies will do that all the time. Try to, at least.
Flancisco's healing is very, very important if you are to win this battle,
so make sure he isn't killed by the infiltrators when he's singing. The
two other crewmembers should use the cannons all the time. Rocket should
infiltrate the enemies and take out their machines pretty soon after the

| baddies. Now, you will see that they have \---------------------------/
pretty good items in their tank. I'm thinking about the numbered bombs
and rockets. Pick up three of these, and run back to your own tank. Shoot
the stolen items at the enemy tank. You see, the enemies do not have
very many items total, so when you fire three strong items, they will most
likely not be able to counter all of them, and since they do up to 100
damage per hit, this is the best strategy this time around. Of course,
you should go back and steal more items when the ones you have carried
have been fired at the enemy.

| This is a much harde battle than the one | Tank of Choice |

| similar tactics, but instead of heading back | Giggles |
| from their tank with three items in your \---------------------------/
hands, go to the enemy tank and pick up three items, throw them out
the entrance, and then go and pick up three new items from the enemies.
This way, you will store the enemies ammo out on the field, so that they
can't, or will have to spend lots of time to, get it back. When you have
gotten back and fired the stolen items, just get out on the field and
bring back the ammo you have stored there. This tactic works perfectly,
but the battle will take some time because of the enemy tank's ability
to flame down incoming ammo. Just keep attacing, storing and stealing!

| This is in fact a battle just as easy as | Tank of Choice |
| the last one. You will be using the same | ---------------- |
| tactics; just infiltrate their tank, wreck | Carrot Top |
| the nmachines there, all of them, of course. \---------------------------/
When you have done that, steal three items and throw them outside of the
enemy tank. All this should be done while your mates heal and shoot from
your own tank. Anyway, when you have gotten three stolen items out of the
enemy tank, get three new ones, and then even more items and throw them
outside. When the enemy has not got many items left, start carrying the
stolen ones back to your own tank, and shoot them at the enemies. Also,
since we are using the Carrot Top, you should fire the big drill by using
the button in the western part of the tank. The baddies in this battle
will infiltrate you a lot, but believe me, care more for shooting than
stopping infiltrators, since the stolen items do just as much, possibly
even more, damage than your own items.

Reward for completing Rank B: Orichalslime

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----> For the remaining battles, you will be using the same strategy, as
the remaining ones are pretty tough. What we will do, is to use the
same team as earlier - two cannon users, and one healer. At the
start of each battle, infiltrate the enemies, wreck their machines,
and then steal three items at a time, and throw them out the main
entrance. When the enemies have no ammo left, take the stolen ammo
back to your own tank to shoot at the enemies. Then repeat. This
strategy is the most secure one in the game, even though it might
take some time to destroy all of the enemies. Good luck!

Tank Battles And Crewmembers [RockTnk]
==============================================================================

In Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, there are quite a few tank battles.
While there are some hints in the walkthrough for each tank battle in the
storyline, you can also read some general hints and tips in this section.

The goal in every tank battle, is to hit the enemy tank with so many items
that their health points (HP) reach zero. When you have done this, you will
have to go into the engine room of the enemy tank, and elasto blast into their
engine. This will end the fight. Note that even though you manage to hit the
enemy tank to zero HP, there is still a chance that you loose, since the
enemies can still damage your tank. If you are not quick enough to destroy
their engine, they might destroy yours first! It is important to understand
that once the enemies HP reaches zero, you will have to go inside the door in
the eastern part of the enemy tank, and then, before getting to their engine,
you have to blow up a lot of obstacles. You can elasto blast into these, but
it is much faster to bring an item with you, and throw and pick it up
repeatedly.

There are lots of different items in this game, and most of them can be used
as ammunition. Some items do lots of damage, while others do less damage.
There are thirty ammunition spaces in your tank, and you can decide which
thirty ammunition types to take with you. You do this by talking to Ducktor in
his garage. It can of course be found in Boingburg, east of your place. Even
though there are thirty spaces for ammunition, this does not mean that you
will be out of ammo after thirty shots. However, if you for example bring ten
wooden arrows, and five rockbombs with you, then arrows will appear more often
than rockbombs.

There are two cannons in your tank - one that firest upwards like artillery,
and one that fires straight forward. The enemies might have different ways of
firing their shots, so be on your guard. You see, it is possible to counter
enemy fire by shooting at the incoming projectiles. For example, if a
projectile is incoming from above, you can counter it by using the upper
cannon. If you happen to have both weak and strong items in your tank, it will
be wise to counter with weak items, and use the stronger items afterwards, so
that they are the ones to hit the enemy tank.

After playing a little, and progressing, Ducktor will tell you that you can
assign crew members for the tank battles. Some of the slimes and monsters can
be brought along, and help you during tank battles. Talk to Ducktor to see
what each of them can do, and to assign who to bring with you. During battle,
you can press the START button to bring up a 'strategies' screen. Here, you
can tell your crew member how to behave. For example, some slimes can either
shoot themselves using the cannon, or infiltrate the enemies tank to slow them
down. Other might be able to stop incoming baddies.

The baddies are the enemies inside the oponent tank, meaning that these guys
are the ones that load the enemy tank with shots. Sometimes, they will also
charge at your tank, and try to get into it. If they do get inside your tank,
they will start breaking your machines. If all machines in a section are
destroyed, it will take much longer for ammunition to appear, so you should
Elasto Blast all the baddies that get inside of your tank. Of course, you can
go into the enemy tank, and elasto blast all of their machines until they blow
up. This is a good strategy to slow them down. If you pull of a battle
perfectly, and have 100% HP at the end, you will get a screen saying
S(UB)LIME, and if you just barely win, the game will say so as well.

Just like the tank battles in the main story, you will unlock a little
something named Tank Masters when you have completed the Callmigh Bluff
section of the game. Just talk to Morrie Morrie in the western part of town,
and he will tell you that the tank battles are one on one matches, and that
you start with easy battles at Rank C, and have to work yourself up to being a
champion. If you do good, you will win great prizes, some of which can only be
unlocked by playing Tank Masters. The item/recipe section will list the items
unlockable in Tank Masters. Tank Master does also have its own section with
hints on how to beat the various enemies. Check it out.

The last thing I'll tell you about is upgrading the health of your own tank.
This can be done by talking to Slimechanic once you have saved him. He can be
found in Ducktor's Garage, and requires gold as well as certain items in order
to upgrade your tank. You should always upgrade your tank as much as possible,
since the battles will get harder and harder as you make progress. Fighting
the final tank with only 100 HP is not very easy, if you know what I mean.

-- Following is a list of crewmembers that can join you in tank battles, along
with a short describtion of what they can do to help. Remember, to unlock a
crewmember, you must save him or her if it is a slime, or collect thirty of
the species if it is a plob, and then talk to it in the museum in
   Boingburg.

Slime Hooly
------------
Hooly is a nice guy. He can either infiltrate the enemy tank and blow up their
machines and baddies, or shoot himself at the enemy tank using one of your
cannons.
Quote: Monsters and tanks don't scare me! I'll attack anything and
everything!

Slime Swotsy

ammo at once.

Slime Curate Rollo
-------------------
She can heal you, as well as follow you when you infiltrate the enemy tank.
Some like her, I personally don't.
Quote: I'll accompany you to the enemy tank, and restore your health when you
are in trouble.

Slime Bo
---------
She can either follow you around and help you smash stuff, or collect
ammunition.
Quote: I will do whatever I can to help you! That is what little sisters area

launchin from the cannons.
Quote: Insert me in a cannon and I will catch the incoming ammo. I am yang to
their yin.

This one will infiltrate the enemy tank, and bring their ammo back to you.
Quote: Oss! I will infiltrate the enemy tank and bring their ammo back to you,
sensei.

Collects ammo for you, or camoflages and attacks.
Quote: I'll totally turn myself into some gnarly ammo and go attack the enemy.
Cowabunga!

Ah, Platypunks will load ammunition into your cannons. They are pretty fast.
Platypunk can also infiltrate the enemy tank.
Quote: I'll just keep on loadin' in that ammo, boss!

These cats can infiltrate the enemy tank even before their protective door has
been smashed. He can also fire like crazy using the cannons.
Quote: I can jump over closed doors and get into the enemy tank. A purrfect
tactic.

Plob Mischiveous Mole
---------------------------
These moles either bring you ammo, or shoots using the upper cannon.
Quote: I'm a lean, mean fighting machine!

Plob Picksy
-----------

Plob Mimic
--------------
Either looks like a chest and attacks baddies, or brings you ammo.
Quote: Clack Clack!

Plob Cactiball
--------------------
Either fires using a cannon, or attacks the baddies.
Quote: Arriba! I putta lots of ammo in the cannons. I attack the enemy

Fun Facts [RockFun]
==============================================================================

This section is not related to anything you need to do in order to score a
fully completed super game save or anything like that, but tells you about
various fun stuff found throughout the game. If you know something I haven't
written down, feel free to give me a heads up at mail.

I'm In Love
------------
The slime Poxie is in love with Mother Glooperior. Just talk to him in
Ducktor's Garage afer you have saved him.

I'm In Love Too
----------------
Talk to Pebbles in the museum after saving her. She's kind of keen on Rocket.

Count Bug
-----------
In Callmigh Bluff, my game had a bug that said I had only saved 8 slimes, when
I had really saved 10 of them. When the game counted after the level, it said
10 though.

I Am Not From Around Here
---------------------------
While working for the Plob, Ducktor tried to hide that he is actually german,
dutch or whatever country he really is from.

Yggdrasil
----------
Yggdrasil, which Gootrude says the church is all themed up with, is actually
from norse mythology, and is the tree that the norse thought connected all
nine fictional worlds together. Creepy?

Wii! The Revolution!
----------------------
Rocket Slime was released before Nintendo unveiled the "Wii" name for their
next-gen console. However, during tank battle, one line in this game says this:
"The Revolution is coming! Wee!". Did Square-Enix know? I guess so.

Donkey Kong Mania
------------------
The mini-game Gold Coast Surfari is actually very similar to the animal mini-
games in the SNES classic by Rareware, Donkey Kong Country.

Chrono
-------
There is a reference to Chrono Trigger, in the form of the tank named Chrono
Twigger. Yes, Chrono Trigger is the name of the SNES classic from Squaresoft,
yeah.

Crack Pot
----------
At Mountain Krakatroda, there is a little something named Krak Pot. Funny,
right?

Mad Max
--------
In Mountain Krakatroda, there is a slime named Mag Max. This might be a small
reference to Mel Gibson and Mad Max.

Crystal Chronicles
--------------------
The slime named Crystal Chronicler is a reference to the Gamecube game 'Final
Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles'.

Bugged!
--------
If you press START the moment after you have stepped upon a healing pad on the
floor, the text will look all jittered.

Goonin Soldiers
----------------
The gooning slimes are a reference to japanese jounin.

Another Mad Max reference?
----------------------------
The upgraded Elasto Blast is named 'Master Blast'. This is most likely a
reference to the movie Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome, and the character Master
Blaster which appears in the movie.

Haxx0rs
---------
There is a tank named T-Rax in the game. Its slogan says "Hacks 'R' Us.
This is a reference to the toystores Toys 'R' Us. Will they sue Square-Enix?
I think not.

Turtles live
--------------
The Goonin say stuff like 'Cowabunga'. This is a reference to the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Farming Time
---------------
One of the bosses is named 'Harvest Loon'. This should be a reference to
Natsume's Harvest Moon.

Darth Wonder
---------------
While searching for the correct word in their report, the goonin get a
suggestion from Hooly; Darth Wonder. Do I even have to tell you what this is a
reference to? Ok, Star Wars.

I Hate Friends
----------------
Wild Fang, the slime in the library, is the only slime in the game that does
not like having friends. Leave him alone, will you?

Ugh, Me Strong Girl
--------------------
Clawdia, which lives at the shop, speaks like a prehistoric human. She is not
liked by other girls, and hates weak boys. Rocket however, is another case..

Super Mario Bros 3
-------------------
The start of the Flying Clawtress level is a reference to the battleships in
Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES/SNES/GBA. These levels also start with climbing
onto an anchor, and going all the way up. The atmosphere is very similar as
well.

Cursed King
-----------------
In Mountain Krakatroda, you can see the cursed king from Dragon Quest VIII, as
he has been carved into the floor close to the end of the level.

Thanks to Square-Enix for bringing the game over to the USA. Now give us an
European version, so that I can buy it once more. Thanks to you, for reading
this, and thanks to Gamefaqs for hosting. I would also like to thank Bandai
Visual and Brains Base for making the wonderful anime named 'Innocent Venus',
a great series I followed while writing this document.
