Walkthrough o================o i. THE END OF ONE IS THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER --(WK01)-- MESSAGE TO ALL: Since this is a new game, I wrote this walkthrough while I play the game myself, so if I missed something, please contact me. Updates will be arrive in the future, guaranteed. Hey there, it's time to turn on your Nintendo DS, and play Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow. Ready? GO! CUTSCENE... Select your gender. For me, I'm male, so I choose male. Edit your character to your liking.. Once you're done creating your character, move on. CUTSCENE.. Cool graphics. Once you take control of yor character, head south. You can see the map on the upper screen. When you reach the next room, head east. Don't try heading to the other direction, you will be delayed. There are enemies in this room you will be entering. Brace yourself. In the next room, another 3 enemies. Had enough? It's pretty linear, so head straight. Go through the locked door, and... CUTSCENE... You've passed the "training course" and now, you're ready to control the character you've created. Patiently read the tutorials that appear, these basic things will help you not just now, but in the future. The door south is tightly shut, so no choice, head north. Step on that portal on the next room. There's nothing special north of the portal so, step on it! Head north, then west. The door on the right is locked. On the next room,there is a save point. Save your game now. You don't want to lose any progress, do you? Do it. Continue heading west and use the elevator. CUTSCENE... ii. THE OUTSIDE WORLD --(WK02)-- You can see the map, alright. Head straight to the next area. Welcome to this familiar place, Neo Jibral Castle Town... Head north and go into town and... CUTSCENE... See those three familiar characters? Shu, Kluke and Jiro. It's seems like there's a problem in this town. The shadow of every person in this town has been stolen. Well, we'll be knowing that later. Head to the far north infront of the barber shop(it's on the map). In front of it, is a lawn, surrounded by a fence. Observe the left side of the fence for 30G. Also, observe the side of the river on the south to find 100G. By the fence. Head to the right side of town and suddenly... CUTSCENE! You heard the scream. Head straight to the location. But before you do that, head to the east and before you reach the gate, observe the wall in the north with a diamond shape. It's for 100G. Worth it? Get it. Then head to that scream. CUTSCENE... Follow Shu! Battle time! It's not hard. Pound it with Shadow Skills and it shall fall. Next is a CUTSCENE! Great, you now have Shu to accompany you around town. Behind you guys is a flower pot. Observe it for a Cure-all. After that, head to the place Shu says. Near the shop(on map), are 2 trees. Examine the one on the left side. It's 50G. Go to the pedestal where King Jibral's statue will be erected. Check the map. It's on the north part. East of it is a small canal? Is it a canal? Check it. There's a frog and... 50G? Oh nice. There's money in the water. Or do frogs spit gold? Head to the shop. CUTSCENE! Next destination, Neo Jibral Castle. North side of town. Head north and HOLD IT!! Just before you two head to the castle, Kluke will stop you. Now you have Kluke in your party. Cool. But those Jibral Castle soldiers will take you to the King. Well, if you played Blue Dragon Plus, well, you know King Jibral. iii. THE DOOR TO THE OTHERWOLRD --(WK03)-- CUTSCENE... After it, King Jibral will give you equipment and 200G. That's huge at this point of the game. You'll receive your first quest. Review it by going to camp mode by pressing the X button then going to the Quests Submenu. All the quests will be listed and press A to choose one. Hm! The first two items are summaries of what happened. The third one is your quest. Review it. Let's head back to town and explore the places we haven't explored yet. But before we do that, let's explore the Neo Jibral Castle. Head south. CUTSCENE... After leaving the throne room, the Jibral Soldiers will show you your room. Go there now, it's the first place you want to go right? CUTSCENE... When you arrive at your room, save your game. There's a save point there. Leave your room. Heading south will take you to town, go now. Now you're back to the central square. Head to the far east to the next area, the Station. Near the old man is a green jar. Examine it and bingo! Cookies. On the opposite side is a planter, examine it and you'll get a Cure-All. Head back to the Square and go to the other side.. To the residential area. You can check the shop at the Square, but you can't really buy anything right now. Let's go back to where we started, to the elevator. When you get to the beach... CUTSCENE! You'll arrive at the Underground Ruins. How? If you watched the cutscene, you'd know! They fell through the hole after that quake. Shu likes holes so much. In the Plus version, they jumped inside the hole that the Sentinel created. Well then, head south. After you kill the monster(that big white rat)... CUTSCENE... Take care of them. After that, you'll be able to equip Shadows. They're very much like GFs in Final Fantasy 8. Your characters' stats will change, depending on what Shadow you equip them, so plan wisely. Let's continue. Head south. Like the very first area we've been through, it's linear so straight ahead. Dispatch the enemies that come your way. 3 strong characters with 3 strong shadows means an unbeatable team. Continue. In the next area, there will be two chests, read the chests tutorial to read explanations about the types of chests and their content. The one on the left side contains a Cure-All, you cannot get it again if you opened it. And the other one, the brown one contains cookies. When you go back here, they will be refilled and you can get them again. Head east. Next area has two chests, an Adventurer's Suit(M) and a Casual Wear(F). Head straight the path. Still, linear. At the end of this area, there is a switch. What's it for? For the super tight door on the next area. Flip it! Next area.. And.. Huh? What the... CUTSCENE! It's where you started! Do you still remember when you stepped on the warp pad? You ended up here. Up north is a two-way fork, wherein the right side is a shut door and the left path contains a save point and the elevator that you used to get to Neo Jibral Castle Town. Why don't you save your progress? You can use the elevator if you want to restock on items. After that, go back inside, to the fork. Well, there's something new!!! The door on the right side has been opened! That means new areas to explore. Cool? What are you waiting for? Be like Shu, be reckless. :) Well, well, it looks like there's a save point here too. Up north. Save again! Take every opportunity. You can't open the door south. You need something for the switch. However, the north one seems to be.. Fine. Activate the switch, and continue your adventure. CUTSCENE! Oh. So that's the reason why there's a save point on the previous area. A boss fight is coming. Very nice. Congratulations. You reached the first boss. +--------+-------------+ | BOSS 1 | Fanged Boar | <- The title says it all. Its a boss. So it's a bit +--------+-------------+ tougher than the monsters you've encountered so far in the game. But well, it's still a monster. Do what you usually do. You have items, don't be afraid to use them. Attack and use your Shadows. Goodluck! You can also slip behind this slowpoke and hit him hard from behind for extra damage. Yeah. After the boss fight, you may want to save your game. I know you don't want to have another battle with that oversized pork again. Go back to the boss area then head north. Next area, there's a computer. You know what to do obviously. Examine, then watch. CUTSCENE... Whoa, doors started appearing around town. Hmm... By the way, your character learned the "Crash" skill. Head east. When you reach the end of the next area, a dead-end. CUTSCENE! Cool. Now break it. The rock. Hm! Continue outside. Hey! We're now on the outskirts of town. Continue straight for another cutscene. Kluke explains the incident in town. 'Twas caused by what Shu did back there. What's the use of all these doors? You'll find yourself in the central square. Observe the bench beside you for an Amethyst. Go to the location of the pedestal? Still remember? Hmm, it's on the north part of the square. Near the entrance of the castle. CUTSCENE... QUEST CLEAR! Congratulations!! Shu and Zola... They're your friends now and you can choose them to be in your party. iv. THE CUBE EXPERIMENT --(WK04)-- The four doors will now be marked on the map as red doors. There seems to be 4 doors on the Central square and another 4 on the residential area. By now, you should have enough gold to buy some new equips for your character. Choose to "WANDER AROUND TOWN" if you want to buy some or the other to continue to your next destination, the Cube Lab. It's on the east side of town. CUTSCENE... Alright. A save point. Save now. You can access multiplayer by talking to the person be the cabinet(treasure chest-like thing). Talk to everyone here to advance... Head to the next area and... CUTSCENE!!! You'll be in town once again. If you want to train solo, you can head down the elevator or jump into the hole. Well, I suggest you do. I want you to acquire a new item. Jump down and head to the next area. When you see the enemies, you will see a shiny rock on the right side. Destroy it for a sapphire. After training, head to the castle throne room for a... CUTSCENE! v. TIME TO MAKE A LIVING --(WK05)-- Now that you can receive quests, it's time to make a living. You may want to save your game first. Go to the square for a CUTSCENE!!! As of now, there are two quest givers. One is Yasato, the mecha robo on the cutscene earlier and Kluke. She's found in front of her house in the residential area. Talk to Yasato. Then, talk to Kluke to know what she wants. It's better to know both so you can choose properly. Hmm. Let't take Kluke's quest first. CUTSCENE. The, a battle! You're teamed up with Kluke this time. Uhm, with shadows in your control, this monsters are a piece of cake. Go ahead. But hey! Here is the catch. The monsters are endlessly spawning. And you have to defeat them within the time limit. Well alright. After that, you receive a sewing kit and improved relationship with Kluke. New friend! Before you leave the room, go to the room on the south-east side. Examine the table for Cookies. Next, Yasato's Quest. Before the start of Yasato's Quest, you need to choose one party member. Yasato is automatically in the party. Well, choose and fight! For me, I chose Kluke for her magic skills. You receive a Fire Bracelet from the cutscene and improved relationship with Yasato. Continued CUTSCENE outside of Yasato's house. vi. THE DOOR TO THE OTHERWORLD 2 --(WK06)-- Now, you can enter the doors that appears here in Neo Jibral Castle Town. Each door has a certain level. Why don't you save your game first? You can go to Yasato's Forge to.. Obviously forge some items. Also, if you cross the bridge in the residential area, it will trigger a cutscene and a quest.. "Jiro in Love". Jiro has reached puberty. cool. Hm, you can choose one of the three available doors, but it will be hard. Even with party members. I suggest you train a little bit more. So... Let's go for quests. Leave the castle grounds. Linear path. Straight ahead. When you cross the bridge, near the end, you'll have a... Uhmm... CUTSCENE!!! Alright, aside from the "Jiro in Love" quest, there is 1 more quest available for you. It can be found in the castle. When you reach the Entrance, check the map. 2 quest symbols are flashing. Whatever path you take, will lead you to one place. The balcony. CUTSCENE! (Whoa, balcony scene? LOL.) After the cutscene, head to the King's Chamber. Short cutscene. Hm. Let's go analyze the other one. Head south of the central square. Leave the castle grounds. Linear path. Straight ahead. When you cross the bridge, near the end, you'll have a... Uhmm... CUTSCENE!!! So, you have the power to choose! Jibral's quest or this quest? Let's take this one first. It's nearer. Hmm... Save your game before choosing. When you select yes, your character will break the big log and commence the quest. You need to choose one of them(Jiro and Shu). You'll help the one you chose. All you have to do is break the log that blocks their way. Don't forget to break the central log on Mountaintop Square for gold. Also in the same area, open the chest on the right side for a Chameleon. If you help Jiro to win, your prize will be an Aurora Crystal. But if you help Shu to win, you get a Morning Crystal. After that, Jiro will talk to you and CONGRATULATIONS! Another one joins you! You can now pick Jiro if you're building your party. Don't forget to save! You can train a little bit, but if you're really itching to get a quest, then talk to King Jibral. vii. THE LOST ONE --(WK07)-- Once you get to the King's Chamber... Go to Jibral and... CUTSCENE! You'll be teamed up with the King. Hm. Head to the East Corridor. Head use the north part and then, if you talk to the girl in blue, she'll say that Zola went to the east. Head to the next area, which is the dungeon. At the end of this area, the door is open and you can go through. It's where you can find Zola. CUTSCENE! Welcome to the Neo Jibral Castle Underpass... Be prepared for there will new monsters here, you've never seen them before in other areas. When you get to Underpass 2, defeat the 3 Zombie Monkeys then break the door on the upper right side. Continue to the end and open the chest for an Elemental Stone(Ruby, Sapphire, etc...) In Underpass 3, head to the first room on the right, kill the 3 Hearts and open the chest for a weapon. Cool. You can use it later for combining to get stronger weapons. Same on the room on the right. 3 Heart and a chest. It contains an armor. In the next area, open the chest on the lower left side. Another armor. In the next area, go the central room, and voila! CUTSCENE. King Jibral will be gone and be replaced by Zola. Now he's the one who is lost. Check Zola's equipment first, then head west. The north path is impassable for the moment. The next area contains a save point. Save now! You can't warp back to the lab though. It's a yellow one. The blue one has the ability to warp you back and gives you the ability to switch party members. Break the door on the room to the left and open the chest inside it. Same for the one on the right. After getting them, head straight to the central path. Next room, straight ahead. It doesn't matter which path you take. When you get to Underpass 8, head left to that U-shaped path on the map. There's a chest. Break the door on the north-eastern part and open the chest inside. Next area. CUTSCENE!!! You'll have a three-man party once again. Time to head back to the castle. Since, there's no blue save point in the area, we need to start walking. There is a save point in this area. Don't forget to save. BUT WAIT! When you get past Underpass 6... CUTSCENE... A battle... You can do it on your own. Even without Jibral. Head back to the castle after that. At CUTSCENE. And... Quest clear! As a prize for what you have done, you'll be granted to use a mechat, a device used for flying, 2 chests and the ability to invite Jibral to your party. viii. LIKE A BIRD WE FLY --(WK08)-- As you leave the King's Chamber, HOLD IT! CUTSCENE. Whoa, everybody seems to be in love around here. Hey, where's my partner?! Head to the Mechat Lab. Talk to the one with the Gold Quest sign. CUTSCENE Well, it seems that you need a Mechat Engine. The mechat's still incomplete. To make a Mechat Engine, you will need: Mega-Metal and Eternal Engine Fragment. First item on the list, Mega-Metal. Let's head to Fushira's house. Well, if you played the previous Blue Dragon, you'll know. He's the grandfather of Shu. His house is on the residential area. At this point, you must be able to defeat at least one monster from one of the gates. You can use them in training and get better weapons. There will also be a new quest in Kluke's house. Same like the first one, while Kluke is healing, a group of monsters will disturb them and commence battle! It is simple, kill all monsters before the time expires. Well, if you died, it's alright. It's not game over. After 3 rounds, a boss fight with a one-eyed bear! +--------+-------------+ | BOSS 2 | Lazy Bear 1 | <- This one's a little bit harder. Especially if you +--------+-------------+ are drained out from the previous 3 rounds. This one has no time limit, which makes it easier. You can't run away from this guy, he's fast. So fight with it hand-to-hand. Heal when necessary. I hope luck will be on your side. Cat Doll as reward. Head to Fushira's house for the main quest. You really don't have to enter the house for you can see Fushira hammering outside. Just talk to him. CUTSCENE... Uh-oh... The old one goes storytelling.. Oh a quake! Head west, then north. And whoa, a hole! Interacting with Fushira will trigger the quest, so prepare first. Party conditions: 1 party member. Choose the one you like and go! MY CHOICE: Yasato or Jibral. CUTSCENE!!! Welcome to Labyrinth Hole. Hm! Don't step on the light for it will take you up again. Head east. The west path is blocked. Beware, new and stronger monsters live here. Make sure you're well-prepared. For me, putting Jibral or Yasato on the party means you are well-prepared. You can't do anything about that green barrier right now. Head straight. Oh the road is blocked once again. Examine it. I guess you can break it, unlike the one on the other end. Continue. CUTSCENE. Nothing special, continue. Head north, kill the monsters. In the end is a chest. At the center is another hole which leads to the next area. But first, break the rock on the south path to have easier and faster access to this area next time. Save point on the next area. Change party members or head back to lab to restock. Take the west path, at the end is a chest. There is another room nearby but you cannot enter that from here. Head back to the other side. The entrance on the southeast side is blocked. Meaning there's only one way, southwest. Take the west path before heading south. It leads to the isolated room I said earlier. Get the treasure and head back, go south this time. West path blocked. Go straight ahead to the east for the next area. Next, head to the far east and open the chest for a Red Ninja Hood, a headgear. Another barrier, so head north to the next one. Another hole in the center. Break the stone block on the far north to gain easy access to the previous save point on the Labyrinth's Northern Perimeter. Jump through the hole. Well, guess what? Another save point. The west path is blocked. 2 monsters can only be found there. Head east. In the next area, take the path on the left to arrive in the isolated part on the previous area. There's a monster and a chest there. You know what to do. Now go back and take the southeastern path. Again, chest. Hmm... The fact that these are brown chests... COOL! You can always exit and go back to get these items AGAIN. Now take the northeastern path. Alright, save point by the green barrier. There's a chest on the north dead end. Head southwest after taking that. Continue heading straight, break the stone then open the 2 chests on the isolated area in the Northern Perimeter. Head to the southeastern path of the next area to Labyrinth Hole Level 3 Center. Alright, another hole heading to the next level. Break the stone block to open another shortcut. Another save point. At last, the end. Head forward. CUTSCENE.. +--------+-------------+ | BOSS 3 | Lazy Bear 2 | <- Hey, hey! Another one-eyed bear as a boss! Same +--------+-------------+ strategy as what you did with the first one. Hmm.. This one should be easier, with 3 members on your party and you've gone a little bit tougher than earlier, when you met this big guy. Pound him hard 'til it falls down. Mega-Metal as reward. CUTSCENE! Congratulations, you now have Mega-Metal. Two items to go! You can't go back to that save point nearby, so head straight up. CUTSCENE! You heard the old man, get that thing from the chest and give it to Destroy. Inside is a Blue Seed. Well then, give it to Destroy! Hmmm, looks like we're going to raise Destroy. You now have a new friend in Fushira. QUEST CLEAR!!! Next destination, Mechat Lab. Head back to the Lab. You can step on that light so you'll be on the surface faster. Talk to that green guy again. Next item on the list, Eternal Engine Fragment. CUTSCENE. Hmm, build your party first, then go the elevator(the one where you came from) OR you can jump through the hole. When you get to the ancient warping device, take the east path. Take the south path on the next area. Examine the broken switch to open the door. You now have a card that you can use to open more areas. Well, obviously, a linear path. This continues for the next 4 areas. Ancient Ruins 3's south path is blocked with a green barrier, so head towards the save point on the far east. In the end of Ancient Ruins 5, is a Red Chest. If you still remember the Chests Lesson, you will know that this one contains a rare item. Open it and... CUTSCENE! Well, it contains Eternal Engine Fragment. Now you have all the items needed for the mechat to fly. When you're back at Ancient Ruins 4, there will be a... CUTSCENE. +--------+-------------+ | BOSS 4 | Horned Boar | <- I can say that this one's a relative of the first +--------+-------------+ boss. Nothing special, just be alert, if that pork swings his tail on you, you'll be knocked down. If you took your time upgrading your armor, you'll have no sweat on this guy. Just pound him hard, use your shadows if you want, do what you usually do and this thing will turn into a pork chop. Use the save point on the next area to warp back to town. Before you head to the Mechat Lab, go to Yasato's Forge first to combine the two items. Talk to Yasato for a.. CUTSCENE. Yay, you got a Mechat Engine! Now head to the Mechat Lab. Flip the switch in the upper part of the upside-down cross, then right with the light on the southeast. Open the chest then go back. Flip the switch once more then ride the one near you. Open the chest nearby and it's pretty linear. Go south. Ride the elevator to B4F. Head east then north to another room, then north, to the direction of the save point. Ride the elevator to go deeper. Head south after riding the first beam on the right. Then ride the beam on the far south. Open the green chest for a Blue Seed(for Destroy) then flip the switch on the left and go back. Head to the north and take the beam in the far northeast. Since you flipped the switch, you can't use the one on the right. Open the chest on the northeast then head south. Ride the beam towards the elevator and go deeper! Once in BF6, head straight to another room. This room's not useless anymore, unlike the previous rooms. Read the book on the lower left and there will be a.. CUTSCENE! Torippo knows who he is! Yeah. So he was created to draw manga. Nice. The green chest beside the shelf contains Recipe Book 1. Cool, we need this to make more stronger weapons! Use the door on the right and continue heading deeper into the cube. BF7. You receive Earth of Wind from Marumaro, a Power-sprouting Grass from his dad, and Marumaro becomes available in your party. Now that you're friends with Maro, you can be a bad friend and take all of his treasure, scattered across town. There's one in the left of his house, which contains a Zipper. There's also one on the other side, which contains a C-Rank Apple. In the Kazami Square, there's also one chest, it is just nearby, in the north. Open it for a Blue Seed. Because it looked so similar to their hometown, Lago Village, the Devee Tribe member who discovered it was said to have danced a "Hometown Dance". iii. DESERT CUBE --(DSCB)-- The cube closest to the Sun Pillar. No one would dream of moving to a such environment, covered with a scorched desert. iv. ELEMENT CUBE --(EMCB)-- A dangerous cube where Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and other elements intermingle. Just what can you find here? v. MECHANIC CUBE --(MCCB)-- A cube that once boasted a state-of-the-art reasearch lab. Currently ruled by high-performance computers who have evolved over their originals. vi.
