Robbing Your Villagers There's a way to get things from your villagers and be nice to them at the same time. It's not exactly the best way to earn quick money, but it can be helpful. Sometimes, animals will just give you items for talking to them. I mean, they seriously just give them to you. It's nice when that happens, but it doesn't occur all the time. You should be talking to your animal neighbors every day, or whenever possible. Just don't talk to them 20 times in a row or they'll be asking why you're stalking them. Magic Rock One of your rocks in the town will turn red when hit with a shovel or axe. Hit it as many times as you can in a time limit so money bags will come out. The money bags will come out as follows: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, and 4000. A hefty profit in such a short time! You won't get much from the rock if you don't know how to hit it. Each time You hit the rock whether with the axe or shovel, you'll move back a bit. The trick it to make two holes, one to the left and one above you. Position yourself so that each time you hit the rock, you move back into the holes. Don't make more that two though or you won't be able to get the maximum amount of money bags. Shaking Trees Not the fruit trees. 10-12 trees in your town will hold other things. Three has beehives, two have furniture, and the rest have 100 Bell bags. If you have less than 12 non-fruit trees in your town, then the bees will take priority, then furniture. The 100 Bells and furniture are nice, but the main reason you want to shake trees is to get the bees. Bees are hard to catch, but sell for a nice 4500 bells each. Once you get a net, keep it in the very top left slot of your item pack. Shake a tree and as soon as the beehive comes out, run south a bit. Quickly tap the menu button, and then equip the net. Exit with the stylus and then tap A as fast as you can. If you're lucky, you'll catch it. If not, well, maybe next time. There's no penalty for getting stung by bees. Your villagers will just think that you're nuts. The bruise on your eye will disappear after turning off the game or putting some medicine on it. Fossils and Buried Items Every day, there will be three or so strange looking dents on the ground of your town. Dig these up with the shovel and you'll discover an item! If nobody buried anything in your town, it will be a fossil, gyroid, or pitfall trap. Pitfall traps are worthless; store them or dump them in the trash. Gyroids make funky noises and dance to the music at your house. They sell for 828 each. For fossils, go to Blathers first and have him examine them. If it's a duplicate or you don't want to give it to him, you can sell it. Most uncommon fossils will sell for at least a few thousand bells. Garbage and Lost and Found Not the best thing to do for money, but make sure that when you visit the Town Hall, check inside the garbage dump. Sometimes, you'll find a few pieces of furniture. Do the same thing with the Lost and Found at your town gate. However, more often than not there will just be crap. Turnips Every Sunday EXCEPT January 1st and old sow named Joan will come to your town between 6am and 12pm. Go find her and she'll sell white and red turnips. What you want is white turnips. Red turnip seeds cost 1000 Bells and sell for 16000, but you must water it every day. It can be a hassle for those who don't play every day. There's a better use for a red turnip anyway. Joan refers to turnips as the "stalk market". She will sell turnips at a random price. Lowest I've seen is 93, highest being 109. You can buy turnips in bunches. After you buy your turnips, wait another day and talk to Nook. Ask him for turnip prices (stalk market closed Sundays). He'll give you a random buying price. If it's higher than what you bought, you can sell the turnips that you have and make a profit. The white turnips will rot after one week, making them worth nothing. There is ONE way to get past rotting white turnips though, but it involves a glitch. In your house, put down a table. Now drop an item that you can stand on such as paper or a shovel. Stand on it, face the table and drop the turnips. The turnips should end up on the table. As long as they're on the table, they will never rot. Nook usually has high insanely high prices in the morning Still a great way to make money, but requires some patience. Bugs, Fish, Seashells The favorite way (of the people) to get money, after you get a net and fishing rod, you're ready to start catching some wildlife in your town. While there are a lot of common animals, there are also rare ones that sell for many bells and Tom Nook's. I recommend that you first deliver new species to the museum though. At the beach, you'll find seashells. If you're in a desperation to find money, you can always clear off the beach of these shells and get a hefty 2000 Bells of so.
