For those of you who just got the game Sims 2 pets heres a helpful hint for youwhen you diagnose a pet and it has a broken bone, imediately(spelled wrong I know)say that the owner can come back in 5 days. Then imediately(you know what I'm going to say)after the owner leaves, clean pet, buy bandages (if you don't have some already) and go to the grooming table. Then click the bottoms option then click on the bandages. The pet will be covered in it.

Hint: You can't diagnose a pet for broken bones unless you have an x-ray machine.

When you're brushing the dog/cat move your stylus diagnaly across the screen until you're all the way across the screen so that the brush is off the dog/cat and keep doing this until all the stars are filled. Every time you do this, half a star should get filled.

Buy the things a vet needs first then buy other stuff.

Also only do easy jobs like extractons and cleaning for if the pet is sick or dirty then build up till you can cure a flu.
