Something very funny to do
Have 1 person play Super Mario 64 DS and 1 person play Super Mario Bros.
In Super Mario Bros, make the one playing it wait just in front of the flagpole.
In SM64DS, go to Bob-omb Battlefield and select the mission:Footrace with Koopa
The Quick.Then win the race but make sure you use the teleports to have some
Big advance time on Koopa. Then, when you're at the end flag, turn OFF the volume of your DS and turn ON MERELY MAX volume on Super Mario Bros.
At THE EXACT SAME TIME, Jump on the Flagpole IN BOTH SM64DS AND SMB. Now, Enjoy the music while waiting for Koopa the Un-Quick.
PS: the teleports are:in the flowers somewhere;
in the first hole where the black boulders fall
